Evergreen's officially wrapped up for the year, with just two final matches next Thursday at New Year's Bash. But who's in the big one? Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/849164669Youtube: youtu.be/M_OdwYIcflU (if it ever finishes processing, we'll see) Quick Results Argent def. Kantar Concrete Pete def. Veronika Armstrong The Sheridan Brothers def. KyO and Sabrina Freya O'Malley def. Eddy Introspect Skidmark def. Logan Axelrod Penelope Lea def. Riley Montgomery Andrea "Fire" Hawke def. Mercy Devine Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito def. Crimson Romance Argent def. Concrete Pete to become #1 contender for the Evergreen Championship Tasharun KOed Kevin Royce post-show Write-ups Two old rivals met in the first match to decide the main event tonight, and Kantar seemed like he was in control for a lot of this one, using his immense power to stay in charge... but Argent wasn't taking it without a fight, and he just kept coming after Kantar, eventually landing a crushing pop-up powerbomb that scored him the win and a trip into the cage. Veronika Armstrong looked outmatched here. Concrete Pete was nothing short of a wrecking ball here, just absolutely dominant pretty much throughout, and a massive piledriver would seal the deal and give Pete the resounding win, setting him up against Argent in the main event. Despite Sabrina's efforts to steal this one at every turn, the Sheridans would ultimately come out on top thanks to Vincent, who put KyO down with one final Twist of Fate and ensured the Sheridans would go home winners once again. Eddy Introspect ran into the absolute force of nature that is Freya O'Malley... and although he gave this one a hell of an effort, it really did seem like Freya's match to lose, as she was every bit as good as she's ever been, landing a crushing Lionsault to seal another big victory. 2021 might be the year for Freya, as she's quickly breaking out of any ideas of being treated like a rookie. Nobody can question Skidmark's tenacity, not after this match. Despite Logan Axelrod's overwhelming power, Skidmark just kept going, and going... and he'd eventually lay Logan out with a crushing spinebuster bomb, scoring what some might see as a major upset over the big man. Riley Montgomery ran into a damn buzzsaw. Penelope Lea was on a mission tonight, and despite Riley managing to get some of her biggest moves in, Penelope eliminated all doubts about her victory with a crushing Skull Candy kick out of the corner, putting Riley down hard. They came dressed for a deathmatch, and although it never quite reached that level, it certainly got violent, as Andrea was left bloodied by Mercy's usual fork antics... but Andrea Hawke didn't get where she is by giving up easily, and she'd eventually lock in the Anaconda Vice to score a big win over the boss. The Oakland crew was flowing well tonight, and while Crimson Romance was faring well for most of this one as well, Sayaka Saito saw her opportunity, locking in the Full Nelson clutch and picking up a much-needed win... and potentially, putting her team in line for the next shot at the tag titles? A flat-out war inside the cage, with Argent and Pete throwing everything they had at each other... but at a certain point, it looked bad for Pete, busted open by stomps, and taking a long time to reach his feet again. A huge powerbomb from Argent would seal his win, and he'll challenge Elly Blackwood next week. After the cage match, there was some commotion in the back, which Kevin Royce went to check on... finding a livid Tasharun, likely angry both due to being left out of the contender mini-tournament, and seeing Argent come out on top. Kevin's reaction was a simple one: "Shut the hell up, or I'll beat your ass." Tasharun did not take kindly to Kevin's attitude towards him. The two met in the ring, and a brawl on the outside eventually returned to the ring... where Tasharun promptly reeled off a Demon's Wrath that instantly knocked the hardcore legend out cold, leaving Tasharun standing tall to end the night. This will certainly have consequences in the near future... Tasharun "Enough of this. The disrespect, the bravado. You've all forgotten who I am, what I'm capable of. And now you'll never forget again, because one of your most beloved, your most enduring figures has been CRUSHED. If you have a problem with my presence, if you have a problem with who I am, then you're very, very welcome to step into that ring, the same as Royce did. And you're free to be left a broken mess when I've finished. Mercy Devine... you now know what I'm willing to do in order to force your hand. The next in line to leave broken on the mat will be you, if you don't choose your next steps very, very carefully." Small note: There's some muting on the VoDs 'cause of Veronika Armstrong's theme. Thus, that'll be changing going forward. sorry.

First off, and I'm gonna put it in bold real fast so it stands out I'm going to go ahead and take Monday off. For one thing, I need the time off for once, and for another, the card I had prepped for Proving Ground felt... lifeless and had no purpose. This means the next show will be New Year's Bash on Thursday. As a result... well, here we go. Take a look at the final show of the year. Academy Showcase Match: Kasey Ryder issues an open challenge (non-title)AFW Showcase Match: Diosa Syringa vs. Maya Minh Sai vs. Johnny Rocket, #1 Contender for the Spirit of Texas ChampionshipKelly Wolfe and Victoria Fox vs. El Verde for the Evergreen Tag Team ChampionshipsAnna Bryant vs. Fresh Suzuki for the Inspire ChampionshipTelan Kintelas vs. Selisha for the Pacific Northwest ChampionshipThe Wright Stuff vs. La Familia for the Proving Ground Tag Team ChampionshipsShiana Sentarl vs. Kileas KintelasArgent vs. Elly Blackwood for the Evergreen ChampionshipBlake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa vs. The Wild West for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team ChampionshipsSanya Markov vs. Victor Kintelas for the Top Prospect ChampionshipEri Sentarl vs. Laenara Kintelas for the Phoenix Rising World ChampionshipKicking off the night, the newly-crowned Academy Champion, Kasey Ryder, issues an open challenge... a non-title match, but anyone could show up. Who will answer the call? Will it be a name we know, or a newcomer?
AFW takes center stage immediately after, with a three-way match set to determine the first challenger to Lance Marshall's Spirit of Texas Championship. Through the first two shows of the fed's existence, these three have won both matches they've participated in... and so, we'll find out which one comes out on top to challenge the boss next month.
The first championship match of the night sees the red-hot duo of Victoria Fox and Kelly Wolfe trying to dethrone El Verde for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships. The Fox/Wolfe duo has been perhaps the single greatest team on the Evergreen roster over the past few months, but El Verde has a strong habit of pulling off insane upsets... can they really pull this one off?
The Inspire Championship goes up next, with Fresh Suzuki making what may be the toughest defense of her reign against Anna Bryant. Anna's been incredible since shifting from Showdown to Proving Ground, and she seems more than ready to score the biggest win of her career right here... but Fresh is still one of the best Proving Ground's got to offer.
Selisha retained her Pacific Northwest Championship this past Monday despite trying to slip out of her scheduled defense with Haruka... defeating Besos in a more proper match and now, preparing to face the brutality that Telan Kintelas brings into play. Telan could be on the verge of a huge victory, but Selisha has never been an easy victory...
La Familia has been nothing short of unstoppable as Proving Ground Tag Team Champions. They've taken down teams that, by all rights, had the advantage over them in a big way... and now, they face the Wright siblings, Arthur and Amber, who are looking for a huge breakout moment on the biggest possible stage. But Rey and Chico are nothing short of Proving Ground's best... do the Wrights really have it...?
This has been brewing for months, now... perhaps even an entire year, ever since Shiana Sentarl reacted poorly to signs that the fans did not want her winning the Grand Ascension, that Laenara Kintelas was stealing her thunder... and it culminated in Vindication, in her and Firehawk getting into verbal wars, and finally, Firehawk bringing in the nuclear option... Kileas Kintelas, his greatest rival. Now Shiana will meet Kileas in the ring... and Kileas will seek to topple Vindication, while Shiana seeks to eliminate anyone seen as a threat to her reign as Queen.
Argent earned his way into this match in true Evergreen fashion: first by taking down one of the toughest men in Evergreen in Kantar, and then, successfully defeating Concrete Pete within the confines of a steel cage to earn the right to challenge the Invincible. Elly Blackwood finally got to this point... she's finally at the top of the hardcore world. She's unlikely to give up this title without a serious fight...
The Dynawasps: a team that's taken Showdown by storm. The Wild West: a team now marked by controversy after Lance Marshall walked away with the Pacific Northwest Championship, and crowned himself AFW's first Spirit of Texas Champion. Now the team spearheaded by Mascara Avispa will meet with the Marshalls once again, all in the hopes of claiming the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships...
Victor Kintelas is no longer a full-time member of the Proving Ground roster, but until someone rises up and defeats him for the Top Prospect Championship, he will continue to defend it against any and all comers. Sanya Markov seeks to be that man, as the Russian looks to end the reign of one of the most dominant Top Prospects in Proving Ground's history.
Finally, the main event: the World Championship match. The single biggest match of the Little Phoenix's career. Eri Sentarl has spent the past three years steadily building up to this very moment... but standing in her way, the World Champion, Laenara Kintelas. Lae began her reign in miraculous fashion: ending the year-and-a-half reign of the Black Dragon, and crushing anyone who comes after her. But Eri has fought through incredible adversity: winning the Grand Ascension, training against some of the most dangerous and vicious wrestlers Showdown has to offer in preparation for this match. This is it: the culmination of Eri Sentarl's journey to the top. The Little Phoenix has only one thing left to prove: Can she truly claim Phoenix Rising's top prize?

That's 2020 wrapped up, once and for all. While the year overall has been... less than ideal IT WAS SHIT the streams have been awesome, and this one was absolutely no different. No surprise there. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/857225180Youtube: youtu.be/CqBfCKIP-LYQuick Results Kasey Ryder def. Y-Pac Maya Minh Sai def. Johnny Rocket and Diosa Syringa Victoria Fox and Kelly Wolfe def. El Verde to become the NEW Evergreen Tag Team Champions Anna Bryant def. Fresh Suzuki to become the NEW Inspire Champion Telan Kintelas def. Selisha to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion The Wright Stuff def. La Familia to become the NEW Proving Ground Tag Team Champions Kileas Kintelas def. Shiana Sentarl Elly Blackwood def. Argent to retain the Evergreen Championship The Dynawasps (Blake/Avispa) def. The Wild West to become the NEW Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions Sanya Markov def. Victor Kintelas to become the NEW Top Prospect Champion Eri Sentarl def. Laenara Kintelas to become the NEW Phoenix Rising World Champion Write-ups Remarkable intensity to start off the night as Kasey Ryder found herself in the ring with a newcomer... a new member of Rule XXX, none other than Y-Pac. And they went in hard, make no mistake, both nearly taking this on multiple occasions before Kasey hit a huge diving crossbody and scored the victory in her first match as Academy Champion. Perhaps something of the dark horse in this matchup, Maya Minh Sai hardly cared. She held her own against one of the Academy's brightest and one of Wrestle Parade's mega-stars, and although her win proved somewhat unpopular in the end thanks to her quickly-souring attitude, it can't be doubted that Maya earned this win... and the right to challenge Lance Marshall for the Spirit of Texas Championship in two weeks. The shortest match of the night as a result of Kelly Wolfe doing what she does best: she zeroed in on El Evergringo right from the start, and nearly wrenched his arm out of its socket with an armbar, forcing an instant tap-out in brutal fashion and giving Fox and Wolfe the Evergreen Tag Team Championships, and potentially putting Evergringo on the shelf to begin the year. Anna Bryant's meteoric rise through the ranks of the Inspire division has been a sight to behold, and though Fresh Suzuki brought her best into play here, Anna would simply not be denied. While she tried to finish on her mentor's favorite Anaconda Vice, she'd eventually settle for her own style... a quick flash pin that snapped Fresh up tight, and gave Anna her first piece of gold in Phoenix Rising. Telan's raw power against Selisha's agility and submission prowess... power won out tonight as Telan roared through this match, never letting up for a second on the champion. A huge spear put this one away and gave the forgotten Kintelas a major victory, and his second reign with the Pacific Northwest Championship. One of the better matches of the night with somewhat of an odd ending... nobody would've figured Amber would win this with a headscissors hold, but there's already call for her to lean into it and make the move her own. Still, strong chance this match happens again... a rare title rematch seems likely for Proving Ground. An intense match between two people who've hated each other for a very, very long time... and recent events have not helped on that one bit. And while Shiana tried her hardest to keep Kileas down with piledrivers, Kileas fired back with a huge spinning slam that put the Queen of Phoenix Rising down, and perhaps settled matters for the time being. The only champion to retain her title tonight had to work hard for it. Elly Blackwood was as tough as she's ever been here against Argent, who was throwing nearly everything he had at the Evergreen Champion... but her armbars remain one of the most dangerous factors in any match against her, and that's what sealed the victory for her tonight. Mascara Avispa gains a measure of revenge against Lance Marshall, although he wasn't involved in the final fall here... still, the Dynawasps pick up a huge win, the tag titles, and knock Lance down a peg after the way he's treated Phoenix Rising as of late. This was Sanya's shining moment. Everything came together for the Russian tonight, and he got on a roaring pace late in the match, eventually wiping out Victor with the Red Crush and ending his reign as Proving Ground's best. Victor finally cuts all ties to Proving Ground, and Sanya takes his place as the very best that Proving Ground has to offer. We have witnessed the dawn of a new era. Eri Sentarl, over the last few months, has been as good as anyone's ever been in Phoenix Rising... even still, with Laenara Kintelas waiting at the end, the Little Phoenix would have the toughest challenge of her career on the biggest possible stage. And she didn't blink... enduring everything Lae had, slipping out of a Kintelas Driver late to start her comeback, and eventually landing the Phoenix Splash to score the huge victory, becoming the new World Champion and standing tall at the end of the year... the best in the world. Eri Sentarl "This... this is everything I've been working towards. This represents every struggle, every stumble, every mistake I've made on the path over these last three years... coming from a perennial underdog that struggled to hold my own against the best of the best... to the World Champion. I'm going into the new year... exactly the way I said, the way I'd hoped for. This isn't the end of the journey, though. I've climbed the mountain... but there's always gonna be someone right there to try and knock me back down to the bottom. Just don't go thinking this is a fluke. That I can't back this up, that I can't defend this title. No matter who winds up being my first challenger... I'm not gonna fold, I'm not gonna back down. I'm going to hold this title for as long as I can hold out, and if you want to take it from me... you'll have to be the best you've ever been. That's a promise." Maya Minh Sai "I'm sorry, am I still hearing something about 'respect' out there? I don't know if you've noticed it yet, but I'm the one winning matches, not the people that are out there to be polite and respectful to their opponents. I'll show you respect when you earn it... and if I'm being honest? I don't think there's a single person in AFW that's worth my 'respect' right now. Not the wrestlers, not the referees, and certainly not the boss that I'm coming for in two weeks. Lance Marshall, I know your history well enough that you've got a problem... a real nice chivalrous streak, what a gentleman you can be, hmm? That's why I'll beat you, that's why I'll be the Spirit of Texas Champion after we meet in that ring... all because the boss is a sucker for a pretty face. We'll see how 'chivalrous' you're feeling after I've trapped you in the Lotus Lock and forced you to give up... and your precious Spirit of Texas Championship will belong to this daughter of Virginia."

Mascara Avispa"Good fight, Cass... Lance... Y'all might be siblings, but Blake and I are like brothers from another mother, ourselves. Sure, we might have had a miscommunication once there, but in the end, we were thinking on the same wavelength, and that's why we're the champs now. I admit that I kind of wanted to be the one to get the pin... but, that's just a little bit of selfishness talking. All I can say is that, at least as a unit, Phoenix Rising has one over on big Lance Marshall now. Not that my business is finished or anything. I screwed up last time, but I still want that belt back. I want that recognition from everyone back there, no matter what...
"... Which, I guess, speaking of recognition... That gets me to what went down at the start of the show - that showcase of AFW's talent. Maya Minh Sai, right? I'm not gonna pretend you're some nobody, 'cause if you were you'd be wrestling in high school gyms and dirty outdoor rings like I did when I was fresh outta high school. But, heh, maybe you're running before you can walk there? Talk up a big game all you want, talk about how you have the upper hand 'cause you fight with your brain. But honestly, I don't think you have what it takes to beat your boss in a one-on-one match down in Houston. Really, I'm sort of betting on it, for my own selfish kinda reasons - maybe an alruistic one, too, but don't let anyone down south hear me say that. You talk about earning your respect? About politeness? They don't always have to go together. I might have my beef with the guy or girl on the other side of the ring. I may even hate their guts. But more than anything, I respect them, even if they think I'm trash. Even if I think they're pompous assholes, I gotta show respect to them. If you don't respect them, then you make mistakes, because it means you're underestimating them. Or overestimating yourself. Or both? That's how it goes, anyway. You think you can just rely on someone taking it easy on you 'cause you're a pretty face and they're some Southern Gentleman? Especially someone who's been in the ring for years...? Think again. And if, for some reason, Lance actually does make that mistake, and lets you get the upper hand on him, well, maybe someone will have to snap him outta that funk before he loses that Pacific Northwest belt, huh?" Fresh Suzuki"Aaah! I was so close...! I wanted to hold onto that title til New Years Day, buuuut I guess I was a couple hours short of that... Kind of a downer, really. But still!! That was a good match, Anna! We'll have to do that again sometime... Maybe for that belt again? I mean, you're the top student of one of the best wrestlers in this part of America, so I bet you'll hold onto that title for a while. I hope so, anyway! Having something big on the line like that, it drives me to try harder! I'm not, like, the grudge-holding type, so.
"I know that being a champ in Proving Ground is usually the first big step to the next stage, and 2020 was probably the best year I've had as a wrestler... but I dunno if I'm ready to level up yet - I mean, move up to Showdown's lineup. So before anything like that happens, I'm looking for one more go with that Inspire belt! I know that I'm gonna have to work my way back up like I did this time, but whether it's being the first two-time Inspire champ, or breaking Layla's record, or both, I wanna make my mark on Proving Ground this year!!"

While there's an Academy house show coming up this Saturday, with a few roster updates on the way, the first proper show of the new year will be on Monday as Proving Ground returns, and I get back into the swing of things after a bit of a much-needed hiatus. But before we jump in, why don't we quickly go through said roster moves? Coming up from the Blackwood Academy to Proving Ground, to start: White Hot (Rei Hasegawa and Keiko Maeda) Angela Rothenberg and Brianna Tierney Hikari Ueno Moving up from Proving Ground to Showdown: The Muscle Machines (Gary Gear and Adonis Avery Alexander) Hugo Dirksen With that said, here's the card for Proving Ground episode 70, the first of 2021. Rey de la Carne vs. HAYATO
Brianna Tierney vs. Katherine White Riccardo De Luca and Felice Santana vs. The Gallego Twins Rilantha De Nav vs. Chico Con Carne Hikari Ueno vs. Titania White Hot vs. La Corsaria and Leona Sterling Angela Rothenberg vs. Christina Wagner Sanya Markov vs. Akira Ryusaki The Yoshida Twins vs. The Rising Storm, Evergreen-Style Tornado RulesKicking off the new year, Rey de la Carne might just be looking to take another stab at the Top Prospect Championship, though expect that La Familia won't be finished with the tag titles. HAYATO, meanwhile, will seek to start the new year by turning his recent fortunes around, and a win over the now-former tag champ would do wonders for him...
Brianna Tierney will be the first Academy promotion to debut this week, and she'll go face-to-face with Katherine White, who as we've seen, is capable of a major upset almost any time she steps into the ring. Brianna was a standout in the Academy alongside Angela Rothenberg, but can she start her Proving Ground run with a win?
Don't blink, you might miss this one. Riccardo De Luca teams up with perhaps the only person on Proving Ground that can even hope to match his incredible speed and agility in Felice Santana, as they take on the equally-impressive Gallego Twins in what will absolutely be the most fast-paced match of the night. Could we see the birth of a brand-new team in the division here?
Chico Con Carne went on the run of a lifetime in the back half of 2020, winning the Big Impact tournament, becoming Proving Ground tag champ alongside his brother, and only falling finally to the Wright Stuff in the end at New Year's Bash. Now he could potentially be feeling out a Top Prospect run, and what better way to show he's one of the best Proving Ground's got than by taking on the veteran Rilantha De Nav?
Hikari Ueno debuts next, and she's got her work cut out for her here. While she has a considerable size advantage against most, her first Proving Ground opponent will be none other than Titania... and no size advantage can prepare you for the brutal onslaught that the Blue Bomber brings to the fold.
White Hot jumps straight into the Proving Ground tag division as they prepare to take on a Scottish duo in La Corsaria and Leona Sterling. A mismatch in styles, with Corsaria's high-flying agility and Leona's no-nonsense shoot-influence, these two could nevertheless be a tough test for the young duo coming from the Academy.
The final Academy debut of the night sees Angela Rothenberg squaring off with Academy founder Christina Wagner. There's simply little doubt here: Wagner's made a bit of a name for herself on Proving Ground, but the German-Canadian will quickly find herself in a rare size mismatch against Angela, who could be a massive presence in the Inspire Division going forward.
The new Top Prospect could have taken the night off like the other champions on Proving Ground... but Sanya Markov will not remain idle. The Russian seems to have almost insisted on being a proper fighting champion right from the start, and he'll take on a former champion in Akira Ryusaki, looking to cement his place as the best Proving Ground's got.
Finally, perhaps the final culmination of a feud that's been brewing for weeks now. The Yoshida Twins and the Rising Storm have clashed multiple times as of late... and while the Rising Storm has gotten the better of the twins in three of their four singles matches, the Yoshidas won their first tag team encounter. There's only one place left for them to go: adopting the rules of the Evergreen style and going at each other in a tornado-tag match that should close the first show of 2021 with a bang.

The new year kicked off for Phoenix Rising, finally, with the first show of 2021... and it was a damn fine one, too. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/870545160Youtube: youtu.be/kR4f6MenG2QQuick Results HAYATO def. Rey de la Carne Katherine White def. Brianna Tierney Riccardo De Luca and Felice Santana def. The Gallego Twins Rilantha De Nav def. Chico Con Carne Titania def. Hikari Ueno White Hot def. La Corsaria and Leona Sterling Christina Wagner def. Angela Rothenberg Sanya Markov def. Akira Ryusaki The Rising Storm def. The Yoshida Twins Bonus: Sarah Silvers def. Trinity Knight in an Academy Showcase Write-ups HAYATO comes roaring out of the gate for the new year, with Rey de la Carne bringing his usual antics into the ring... antics that were definitely not appreciated, with HAYATO throwing his offense into overdrive and finishing with a crushing HAYATO Driver to win the first match of the new year. It took Katherine White more effort than she probably would've liked to put this one away, with Brianna Tierney holding her own against someone who's admittedly found herself low in the division for some time. Still, a win here for Katherine could mean a turn-around in her future... maybe. No better way to debut a brand-new team than with a huge win over one of Proving Ground's finest. Riccardo De Luca and Felice Santana exploded out of the gate with one of the most relentless attacks that any team's ever shown, to nobody's surprise... and Felice would put the cap on this one with a huge Double Lotation Moonsault to score their first win as a team. Chico may not have come away with the win here, but against a veteran like Rilantha De Nav, just holding your own and nearly taking the win at multiple points is enough to elevate you. Chico almost certainly was one move away from taking this one... but so was Ril, as she scored the latch pin and slipped past Chico. Hikari Ueno more than proved herself in this one against the resident powerhouse of Proving Ground, as Titania put her through her paces... and Hikari didn't back down an inch, looking like she was gaining momentum right up until a Titanic Bomb put her down for the three-count. The only ones of the Academy graduates to win in their debut... and what a debut it was. White Hot was absolutely ready for this promotion, and they proved it against the Scots here, with Corsaria and Leona trying to shut down Keiko and Rei... but Keiko was a wrecking ball, and she'd lock in the Maeda Family Special, the Nagata Lock that's won her so many matches over the past two years. Angela Rothenberg met Christina Wagner move-for-move, and the Germans flat-out clashed for a solid fifteen minutes of lady-hoss action until Christina was able to find an opening, and locked in a brutal bearhug. It's likely this won't be the last time these two meet... but their next match may wind up being a tag affair. Akira Ryusaki certainly tried here. He gave as much as he could against the new Top Prospect, but Sanya Markov came into this match looking to make a statement, and he damn well did that. An early Red Crush signaled exactly what the Russian was after, and though Akira fought as well as he could, a second Red Crush put a very early end to this match. The Yoshidas ultimately fell short in their challenge against the veterans here, as the Rising Storm, even in unfamiliar territory with the Evergreen rules in place, were absolutely on top of their game. Still, the Yoshidas held up well against one of the best teams in Phoenix Rising, and if they can bounce back from this defeat and start picking up wins against the rest of the tag division, they could be on track to get to the top sooner rather than later. The Academy sent two of its newest signings across the border to have a showcase match as a bonus after Proving Ground, with Christina Wagner suiting up as referee for the first time in quite a while (not since she left the Academy for Proving Ground). And while Trinity Knight showed some promise here, Sarah Silvers was unreal in how fast and agile she was, and her surprisingly-brutal armwork culminated in a High Speed Mistica that left Trinity groaning in pain after being forced to tap out.

Thursday brings us American Frontier Wrestling, with the first-ever defense of the Spirit of Texas Championship... earned by Maya Minh Sai at New Year's Bash just two weeks ago. Mason Hayes vs. Ian Robinson
Sung Moon vs. Kass the Stampede
Dominic Stanton vs. Manny Ramos
Carmen Latour vs. Allison Avery
Cassandra and Terra Marshall vs. Diosa Syringa and Emma Travers
Nathan Haines vs. Georgia Eagles
Riley Montgomery vs. Blanche Wesson-Smith
Johnny Rocket vs. Jackson Shaw
Maya Minh Sai vs. Lance Marshall for the Spirit of Texas Championship Starting off AFW's year, it's a clash of raw power, as Mason Hayes looks to butt heads with Ian Robinson. Mason's a powerhouse, but Robinson is definitely a star athlete, and likely to put on a serious showcase of his abilities here. Sung Moon seems primed for a solid run in AFW, but she's got a tough test ahead of her here, despite facing off with a tag specialist in Kass the Stampede. One-half of Wanted DOA, she'll make a rare singles appearance to tackle the Korean-American from Houston, as Moon aims to raise her standing among the roster. Manny Ramos made a shocking appearance last month in place of what everyone expected: rather than the high-flying junior crowd-pleaser that is Mascara Avispa, AFW was treated to a vicious junior heel, and while he came up short against Johnny Rocket, he'll look to make a bigger impact here against Dominic Stanton, who's looking to start fresh in 2021. Carmen Latour's incredible agility will be on display here as she looks to bring down the Lariat Queen of Little Rock... with Allison Avery aiming for a reminder of her capabilities. She'll have to ground the Cajun Spitfire in this one, but we all know Allison's more than capable of pulling it off... The tag matchup this week sees one hell of a matchup, and the proper debut of Emma Travers on the AFW roster. Coming in alongside her Academy partner, they'll look to take on the Marshall sisters, who were red-hot in their team debut two months ago... and while Terra may have lost her first official AFW singles match, she's still one of the toughest women in the fed, perhaps only second to her older sister. Nathan Haines has one goal in mind, even now: get to Lance Marshall by any means necessary. But first, he'll have to go through Georgia Eagles... and although she's had a rough go of it in AFW thus far, she is not someone to overlook for any reason. Nathan will have to be at his best for this one. Riley Montgomery might have to stick to AFW officially going forward, though that doesn't mean she won't keep popping up in Evergreen anyway... uninvited. For now, though, she sets her sights on the other half of Wanted: DOA, as Blanche Wesson-Smith will be out to halt Riley's momentum. Johnny Rocket might not have come away as the #1 contender at New Year's Bash, but he's still one of AFW's top talents, beyond any doubt... and likely, the next in line regardless. Still, he's got to deal with Jackson Shaw this week, and that's a tall order even for the best AFW's got to offer. Finally, Maya Minh Sai's shot at the big title... there are only three people in AFW that stand undefeated thus far, and two of them are right here in this match, fighting over the Spirit of Texas Championship. Does Maya have what it takes to topple the boss and become the new champion, or will Lance put down the young upstart and cement his place at the top of the fed?

Ian Robinson Sung Moon def. Kass the Stampede Manny Ramos def. Dominic Stanton Carmen Latour def. Allison Avery Cassandra and Terra Marshall def. Diosa Syringa and Emma Travers Nathan Haines def. Georgia Eagles Blanche Wesson-Smith def. Riley Montgomery Johnny Rocket def. Jackson Shaw Lance Marshall def. Maya Minh Sai to retain the Spirit of Texas Championship Bonus: Trinity Knight def. Samantha Steele Write-ups The night got started with a dominant showing from Mason Hayes, a stark reminder of how vicious the big man can be when he gets on a roll. He took everything Ian Robinson had and landed a crushing Brainbuster to pick up the win here, making it clear that he's looking to take charge. Sung Moon continues to look great in her new surroundings, much closer to home, and took charge in a hurry here against Kass the Stampede, taking down the tag specialist with a Book End, though she mixed in quite a few of her big signature moves here. Manny Ramos was an absolute dynamo in this one, bouncing back from his defeat last month and absolutely ripping Dominic Stanton apart. Stanton had the newest AFW signing in his corner, Laura Tate, and the South Dakota Beast didn't seem too happy with the result... it would seem the two are set to be tag partners going forward, but Laura may still have a bone to pick with Ramos after this one. A relentless brawl from these two, with Allison trying to establish her brutal lariats early on... but Carmen eventually started to pick up steam, and after a hard-fought battle, landed her impressive somersault dropkick to score the victory, leaving the Cajun Spitfire well in charge of her own destiny. Probably the best match of the night, with one of the most impressive finishes: while Syringa and Emma were every bit as good as expected, given their Academy history, the Marshall sisters are clearly coming into their own as a duo, with Terra's raw power complementing Cassandra's more well-rounded attack. Terra helped finish this one, too... choking Emma in the corner of the ring to keep her out of the way while Cassandra forced Syringa to submit to her brutal Cloverleaf variation. It was pure power from start to finish here, with Nathan Haines and Georgia Eagles just going full-bore on showing off their strength... but Haines slipped away with this one via technique, as he countered into a quick flash pin to score the narrow victory. For all the offense that Riley Montgomery threw at Blanche Wesson-Smith, nothing seemed to be enough to put her away... and Blanche would eventually find her opening, locking in a chickenwing facelock and forcing Riley to tap, leaving the West Virginia native frustrated at the end of the night. Johnny Rocket just might be the best that AFW has. Despite not being the one to challenge for the Spirit of Texas Championship, Rocket might have just proven that he should be the next in line with this performance, as he absolutely blitzed Jackson Shaw, in what's becoming a bit of a habit for the incredible high-flyer. Lance Marshall did not treat this match lightly. For all of Maya Minh Sai's needling, he clearly didn't let his usual "chivalrous" streak get in the way of defending his title... though Maya proved far more stubborn than most would've guessed, doing her best to keep him off-balance and trying to find her footing for one last big move. She couldn't get it, though, and a crushing lariat ended her night, and kept the title firmly on the boss. This was a far better look for Trinity Knight than her ill-fated live debut on Monday against Sarah Silvers. And while Samantha Steele didn't roll over for her opponent, Trinity was definitely in control here, and eventually rolled her up tight for the victory. We'll see both women again soon... next Saturday at the Academy live show.

Manny Ramos"Ahahaha! Jeez, I wasn't expecting things to be over so soon there! Sorry I had to do it to 'em, but not sorry that I got results. See, that's prime example of me fighting with my brain.
"I saw you had your new tag partner out there, Dom... Wasn't expecting that. But hey, good for you, buddy! So young, and already eager to make a name in every division you can! But... Were you too worried about making a good first impression for Miss Tate there? Is that why you got dropped on your head three times and put you right to sleep? By me, the guy held back by being 'just' a junior? I mean, if that's why you were off your game so bad, then maybe instead of worrying about image, you should worry about getting the win. If I cared about image in this company, I would still be fucking about with cute little flips and flashy holds and showing off as a 'junior legend.' Nah, that can wait for places where I'm not on a mission. That can wait until I'm not in a land of giants, and in a place where my talents are more appreciated. Nah, all that matters to me right now is reaching the top and kicking whoever is standing off the peak, so they fall allllll the way down the mountain. Hopefully they won't break too many bones on their descent.
"Which, hey, guess what? That brings me to the subject of tonight's main event. Speaking of kings of the mountain... Looks like the upstart failed to take that crown for herself. Heh, how'd all your talk about 'respect' work for you, Maya? Hoping and praying that this would be another night where that meathead running the joint would take it easy on you 'cause you're a girl. Did you really think he'd screw up like that yet again when the stakes are so high? See, here's a key difference between how you do things, and how someone with more experience does... Right now, I can say I kind of hate Lance's guts. Yeah, petty, I know, but last I checked, I don't have a crown of thorns or holes in my hands. But I respect what he can do in the ring. What about you? You tried and tried, but all that shit-talk about disrespecting the whole locker room got you counting the lights. And why? 'Cause disrespect means underestimation. I know you can understand polysyllabic words, so. Treat it as a learning opportunity, babe.
"Now then. With that title match in the record books... I'm gonna say it again for all the braindead yokel hicks drivin' 2 hours up from whatever trashy meth-head trailer park they came from. Maybe some rote memorization'll pound a wrinkle or two into their smooth brains. That Pacific Northwest title belongs solely to m -- ... er, that is, it belongs solely to my boss, and to Phoenix Rising. I don't care if my boss capitulated to this company's takeover of that belt - it's not a matter of if I'll ever get a title shot, it's a matter of when! Count on it! It may take me a while longer, but I'm fine with that. Challenges are meant to be overcome, you just aren't gonna like how I do it!
"Hate me, love me, respect me, lust for me, send me creepy DMs on Twitter - however you feel about me, and frankly, I don't really care either way, other than maybe the creepy DMs - always remember that I don't break promises. When I say I'm gonna do something, I mean it. So! To all of you lovely specimens of the best this state has to offer, I ask you to plant that little seed in your brain, and I bid you adieu, until next month."

The first Showdown of the year coming up on Monday, with a couple of debuts from Proving Ground talents moving up... and a fairly big card, too. Hugo Dirksen vs. Kyle Anderson
The Muscle Machines vs. Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas Kaelara Sentarl vs. Celine Chevalier Todd Colton vs. Kellaron Sentarl Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas vs. Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard Shiana Sentarl in action Blake Dynamite vs. Angel Leblanc The Heyward Sisters vs. The Malevolent Triad (Haruka Matsura and Selisha) Natasha Clover vs. Telan Kintelas for the Pacific Northwest Championship Fenix Oscuro vs. Eri SentarlFirst in the mix, coming up from Proving Ground is Hugo Dirksen, who's quickly stepping into the ring with a familiar opponent in Kyle Anderson. The last time these two were on the same roster, they were part of Team Proving Ground... could we see something rekindled between the two?
The Muscle Machines might be the more surprising promotion... but, as we understand, it's due to their reasonable success as a team, along with having exhausted just about every potential opponent on Proving Ground multiple times over. The Machines now step into the ring with the Greek duo of Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas, looking to make a major impact for the new year.
It seems that Les Beautes Blondes can't fully get away from the Sentarl-Heyward alliance... and while it's a minor thing this week, Celine Chevalier still has her hands full as she takes on Kaelara Sentarl. No doubt Angel Leblanc remains frustrated at LBB's failure to topple the alliance, and now Eri Sentarl stands at the top as World Champion...
Todd Colton continues running his mouth, no matter what the time or occasion, and it seems he's finally caught the attention of Kellaron Sentarl... perhaps tired of the constant barbs being flung towards his sister Eri. Todd, though, continues to insist he should be the next World Champion... he'll have no choice but to win here if he wants to keep up that idea.
Firehawk Sentarl returns to the ring after stepping away through the end of last year, and to the surprise of many, continues to work alongside his old rival, Kileas Kintelas. Les Beautes Blondes will be thrown into the deep end for this one... as Michelle and Revon seek to try and topple two of the top talents in Phoenix Rising.
Here we go again... some are already believing that Shiana Sentarl's lined up another ENHANCE talent to make herself look better again, though word is that Shiana is not the one who scheduled this match. There's simply no telling what's about to happen here...
The leader of Les Beautes Blondes squares off with one-half of the brand-new Tag Team Champions... with Blake Dynamite aiming to make his first match as champion a successful one. And while Avispa won't be in active competition this week, expect him to be at ringside regardless here.
This has been building since before New Year's Bash... with the Malevolent Triad once again getting in the way of the Sentarl-Heyward alliance, and Oscuro in particular laying waste to nearly the entire group. Oscuro now sends her subordinates against the Heyward sisters... Haruka and Selisha almost certainly aiming to make a case for a shot at the tag titles if they can win here.
The Pacific Northwest Championship is on the line as always, and Telan Kintelas is a man that isn't likely to give it up without a fight. Still, three-time champion Natasha Clover is determined as ever to reclaim the belt she's believed is hers for a very long time... and Telan may find this to be a tough defense against a very, very motivated Natasha.
Finally, capping off the show, these two old rivals meet once again... under very different circumstances than before. The Little Phoenix is now the World Champion, and Oscuro's now painted a bigger target than ever on her hated rival... the first Showdown of 2021 will close out on a colossal match between these two, as Oscuro will look to become the first in line to challenge Eri for her newly-won championship.

Showdown's arrived for the new year, and some names have hit the ground running. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/879455119Youtube: youtu.be/W3j3PdBnCcwQuick Results Kyle Anderson def. Hugo Dirksen Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas def. The Muscle Machines Kaelara Sentarl def. Celine Chevalier Todd Colton def. Kellaron Sentarl LBB (Revon and Michelle) def. Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas Winifred Wright (!) def. Shiana Sentarl Blake Dynamite def. Angel Leblanc Haruka Matsura and Selisha def. The Heyward Sisters Telan Kintelas def. Natasha Clover to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Eri Sentarl def. Fenix Oscuro Write-ups A very, very good showing for Hugo's first match on Showdown, but Kyle Anderson's experience carried him through this one, even if he went deep into his moveset to pull it off, landing a huge diving shoulder block to score the victory. The only flaw in this match for the Muscle Machines? That they ultimately lost, with Gary Gear made to tap out to Alexandria Kirison's brutal cross-arm camel clutch. They more than held their own, though, and the Machines already look very much at home in their new surroundings... it's just a question of whether they can get the victories to go with it. Celine Chevalier just couldn't measure up. Despite getting particularly vicious in this one, pounding Kae's head into the mat and opening up a nasty cut, Kae was just as determined to put Celine down, landing back-to-back Kae Busters on her before eventually forcing a tapout to the Chickenwing Facelock. Todd Colton remains one of Phoenix Rising's premiere technicians, as he more than proved with his win here. With Kellaron Sentarl doing all he could to put Todd down, it was a simple move... a drop toe hold leading into one of Todd's most deceptively dangerous moves, a quick flash roll-up that scored the win and made it clear that Todd's still out for the biggest prize... Who could've guessed at the beginning of the night that Revon Beauregard would score a win by forcing one of Phoenix Rising's biggest names to tap out? That's exactly what he did here after one of the most hard-fought matches of the night, and the French duo picked up a colossal win over the two most enduring names in the fed. This... was easily one of the most unexpected moments of the night. Shiana Sentarl had no idea who had been lined up as her opponent... she was told only that no backup would be present, that she'd face this match on her own. And from behind the curtain came the blast from her past that Kileas had been warning her of for months... Winifred Wright, who had not lost a single step in the year she's been retired. Is she back full-time? Was this a one-off to teach her a lesson? Nobody knows yet, but Winifred looked just as good as she ever has, laying Shiana out with her signature right hand and a crushing deadlift German. Angel Leblanc held her own against one-half of the tag team champions here... Blake Dynamite, though, just was not going to let Angel win this one, despite this turning into one hell of a fight. Still, the old standby, the Double Lotation, put this one to an end after one of the longer matches of the night. The Heywards continue to find that the Triad is something of a blind spot for them... having both separately fallen to Oscuro, and now, falling short against the Triad's subordinates. Listalva was a step too slow to make the save after Haruka landed a brutal Mutasault, and the Triad scored yet another victory over the Heywards. Telan Kintelas will not have his reign cut short. He was a wrecking ball even against the onslaught of the Devil Hand, as Natasha Clover threw damn near everything she had at him... but Telan just kept coming right back, cranking hard on the Torture Rack more than a few times, and ultimately forcing Natasha to admit defeat. Her fourth reign will simply have to wait... once again. This was as focused and determined as we've ever seen the Little Phoenix. We already got a glimpse of what she could really do at New Year's Bash, when she won the World Championship... but this was nothing short of a statement victory, landing a huge Phoenix Splash and putting Oscuro down in record time. She's reached another level... and the World Champion, the Little Phoenix, could be in for an incredible run. Shiana Sentarl's opponent from tonight... "Kileas kept warning you, time and time again, because he knew I'd been training, knew I'd been watching, waiting for this night. Did you really think, after all the shit you've been spewing, after all the attitude you've been giving everyone, that I'd let you just walk away? That you wouldn't have to face the fuckin' music?" Winifred smirked... she didn't look hardly any different from the last time she'd been seen in Phoenix Rising. "You've got a decision to make, Shiana... because if you keep spouting off the same way you have been, then we'll meet in that ring again, and next time that happens, I'll bury you. You've never had what it took to stand up to me... not when you were a fresh-faced little rookie, not when you were in your prime, and sure as hell not now. So I'll be watching, I'll be waiting... and the rest of this Vindication crew... you don't have a damn clue what you're in for." Eri Sentarl "Part of me is satisfied with tonight. I picked up a huge win, I showed that I'm not just some fluke champion, I showed that I've got what it takes to stand at the top. But there's something... wrong about it. Something that I can't shake, that I know is the honest, absolute truth. Something I've suspected for months but couldn't really figure out until tonight.
Fenix Oscuro... or whoever the hell you really are. For the past few months, ever since 'Oscuro' came back after vanishing for a little while... you've been a fraud. A fake. I wasn't certain of it until I met you in that ring. You're not on her level. You're not even close. Because if you were, you would've put up more of a fight, you would've pushed me to my limits, you would've been capable of beating me. But what I got out there wasn't even close to the wars I've had with Oscuro, locked in a cage, fighting for my life, pushing myself to new heights out of necessity.
I had my suspicions long before. After all, I know who the real Oscuro is. But I thought, maybe, just maybe, that she was pulling double-duty somehow, that she was somehow pulling the wool over my eyes and I was just falling into some kind of trap. But tonight, I know beyond any doubt.
So if you're planning on arguing the point, I have an idea for next Showdown. You bring Haruka and Selisha to the ring. Me? I'll bring two partners myself. We'll make a trios match and I'll show you exactly why you're not on my level, why you're not on Oscuro's level...
Because no matter how much bad blood there was between us, I still respected her. Because she could push me somewhere that I'd never been before. If she hadn't come after me I never would've gotten to where I am today. And that's why she walked away from that mask... and why it's such an insult that you've picked it up.
You've got two weeks to think about what I'm bringing your way. You'd better use it."

The Muscle Machines
Gary Gear: Hahaha, she just chucked you out like last week's garbage!
Adonis Avery Alexander: I'm glad you find it so amusing that we lost the damn match! Stop watching that video already, I'm sick of it! Don't you have any pride...oh wait, you're Gary Gear, you only take pride in replacing your entire bloodstream with synthetic compounds. You don't care if we lose our debut on Showdown. You don't care that some scrawny...woman tapped you out. And why the hell would you wait a whole week to toss out your garbage! You are utterly nauseating on every possible level.
Gear: Hah! I don't care, I'd be happy to tap again if I got another clip like this outta the experience!
AAA: Whatever. You enjoy losing, not that I didn't already know that.
Gear: Aw, we got plenty of time to get back in this one, whole different game, we gotta build up before we push our reps up! Besides, you gotta get over your thing with the ladies! You been that way ever since Valerie May dumped your ass back in the day!
AAA: Hmph.
Gear: One loss ain't gonna break us! We're Machines! We got this! Fear Gary Gear! Yeah! Get back, get strong...hahahah!
AAA: STOP WATCHING THAT DAMN VIDEO YOU IGNORAMUS!

Better late than never getting this one up. Watch this one be a real bad idea though, lol. (This is probably gonna be the last ten-match card for a good while... and I'd normally never put four tag matches on the show, but the fourth one was definitely a snap decision.) Katherine White vs. Hikari Ueno
The Yoshida Twins vs. The Gallego Twins Chico Con Carne vs. Golden Tiger Xiu Mei Li vs. Arthur Wright Winter Fresh vs. Angela Rothenberg and Brianna Tierney Anahera vs. Amber Wright Nick MacLeod vs. Rey de la Carne White Hot vs. Felice Santana and Riccardo De Luca Sanya Markov vs. HAYATO
Anna Bryant and Rilantha De Nav vs. The Excellent BladesKicking things off this week, Katherine White looks to keep her momentum hot after her victory over Brianna Tierney last time out... and this time, she's got another Academy graduate to deal with in Hikari Ueno. This one won't be the same match she had with Brianna... likely, this one's gonna be a fair bit tougher, especially with Hikari reeling from her debut loss to Titania.
The Yoshida Twins finally fell short of the experience that the Rising Storm holds over them, and now they're trying to look forward and continue their path towards the tag titles now held by the Wright Stuff. Still, falling behind the Storm isn't where the twins want to be... and so, they'll start working their way back up by taking on the Gallegos, a tough test for any team that wants to make it to the top.
While both of these men are seen more as tag team specialists, neither is to be underestimated. Chico Con Carne has plenty of singles accolades so far, and a win here could put him into the conversation for the Top Prospect Championship... but Golden Tiger may be one of the most dangerous wrestlers Proving Ground's got, and he's likely to have Tigress and Reina del Tigre both in his corner to run interference.
The Rising Storm isn't wasting any time. It's clear that they're after the Proving Ground tag titles, and it's easy to say that they've earned it after scoring a final victory over the Yoshida Twins... Xiu Mei Li will start things off as she steps into the ring with Arthur Wright, who isn't likely to make things easy for the Chinese superstar.
Winter Fresh is back in the house, and they've got the rookie team to deal with this week. Angela and Brianna are back to working as a team after taking their singles debuts, and the incredible duo that is Rin and Fresh will be sure to welcome the Academy graduates in the best way possible... by giving the fledgling team their best.
Amber Wright might be walking straight into a buzzsaw this week. Anahera has more than proven to be one of the single most dangerous women in Phoenix Rising over the last three years, and although Amber has more than proven herself with Inspire Championship and now Proving Ground Tag Team Championship reigns, she's still coming into this as a fierce underdog... perhaps exactly where she wants to be.
Make no mistake, the Top Prospect Championship just might be turning into one of the most hotly-contested championships in all of Phoenix Rising. Everyone seems to want a piece of Sanya Markov and his title... and Rey de la Carne, former Top Prospect in his own right, is certainly no exception. But the big Scottish powerhouse, Nick MacLeod, would also love to claw his way to the top... this one's gonna be a rough one.
White Hot happened to be the only Academy graduates to win in their Proving Ground debut... with Brianna losing to Katherine White, Angela losing to Christina Wagner and Hikari losing to Titania, Rei and Keiko came roaring out against Team Scotland and beat La Corsaria and Leona Sterling. Now their sights are set on a brand-new team... one that was also highly successful in their Proving Ground debut. Felice Santana and Riccardo De Luca might be the new favorites to carry the division... but with White Hot's accolades in the Academy and in Lightning Pro, fresh off of a huge win over L-Pro veterans, could we be looking at the future of Phoenix Rising's tag division right here?
Sanya Markov has made it very clear: he's in no mood to sit on the sidelines and wait for a challenger. The Russian is clearly a fighting champion, and although he hasn't made his first defense just yet, it's only a matter of time before a #1 contender is crowned. Until then, Sanya's taking on anyone and everyone willing to step into the ring with him... and this week, it's HAYATO, who may be on the verge of a huge breakout year if he can keep things rolling along. He opened the year with a win over Rey de la Carne, and a win over the current Top Prospect would rocket HAYATO to the front of the line...
Finally, the Inspire Champion would not be left off the show two episodes in a row. With no challengers lined up quite yet, Anna Bryant will instead team up with her long-time mentor, Rilantha De Nav, to take on the all-star team that is the Excellent Blades. Anna will have a huge target on her back in this one... with the Blades looking to score the fall on her and earn a shot at her title. But all eyes will be on the veteran, Ril... we've started to see flashes of the dominant superstar that we've known her to be in the past, and that could be very, very bad news for the rest of Proving Ground.

Another Proving Ground down, and this one got a little wild. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/888484269Youtube: youtu.be/V6Kbx8i5dQ4Quick Results Hikari Ueno def. Katherine White The Gallego Twins def. The Yoshida Twins Golden Tiger def. Chico Con Carne Arthur Wright def. Xiu Mei Li Brianna Tierney and Angela Rothenberg def. Winter Fresh Anahera def. Amber Wright Rey de la Carne def. Nick MacLeod Riccardo De Luca and Felice Santana def. White Hot Sanya Markov def. HAYATO Anna Bryant and Rilantha De Nav def. The Excellent Blades Write-ups Determined as ever to push herself up the ranks of the Inspire division, Katherine White came out swinging once again against a recent Academy graduate. But Hikari Ueno was in no mood to roll over for her here, weathering a storm of offense that included the Kat's Cradle, and landed a brutal Shock Arrow package piledriver to score her first Proving Ground victory. The Yoshidas are starting to run into trouble, finding tough competition here on Proving Ground, and the Gallego Twins came roaring out in their usual fashion, leading up to Gabriela setting up a Shiranui into a 450 Splash to take the victory, and keeping the Gallegos hot. Golden Tiger has quietly been one of the single most dangerous men on Proving Ground's roster from the day he arrived. He more than showed that here against Chico Con Carne, and despite a valiant effort from the luchador, a Superkick and standing SSP sealed the victory... surprisingly, with no shenanigans from the outside on either man's behalf, despite both Reina del Tigre and Golden Tigress being present. Could the Ambush be turning over a new leaf, or is this misdirection? Undaunted by the upcoming challenge of the Rising Storm, Arthur Wright went to war with Xiu Mei Li and made it very clear how difficult it's going to be for the Rising Storm to claim the tag titles they have their eyes on. And while it took three Screwdrivers to get to that point, it cannot be doubted that Arthur is steadily making a name for himself outside of the shadow of his mother, Winifred. A fantastic showing for the Academy graduates here against an iconic Proving Ground duo in Winter Fresh, as Brianna Tierney eventually took charge and landed a crushing DDT to score the pinfall over Fresh Suzuki. Mis-steps in singles matches in their debut seem forgotten in the wake of their tag debut being a successful one, and Brianna and Angela could be looking to score even bigger going forward. Anahera was not going to allow the Storm to walk away winless tonight. She brought the fight straight to Amber as she always does, and though Amber fought for as long as she could, Anahera has many ways to beat an opponent... tonight it was her vicious suplex that put Amber down and set the stage for the Storm to challenge for the titles next episode. It seemed like a fairly straightforward match by Rey de la Carne's standards, but he eventually went right back into his usual style against Nick MacLeod... and despite the Scotsman getting more than a little angry at the idea, Rey stayed ahead of the curve and picked up a huge victory with the Especial. The fastest-paced team in Phoenix Rising is now 2-0 after Felice and Riccardo did exactly as expected... though not without some serious resistance from the Academy graduates here. Still, Felice was the superstar here, landing a Santana Sky late and picking up a major victory... could this fledgling team already be making a case as one of Proving Ground's best? Lesson learned from tonight: do not cross Sanya Markov. As good as HAYATO is, and as dangerous as we've known him to be, Sanya reached the top of the mountain by being one of Proving Ground's most brutal and powerful wrestlers, and he showed it tonight by absolutely crushing HAYATO into the opposite corner before covering for the victory. The Blades may be one of Proving Ground's finest duos, but Anna Bryant is the Inspire Champion for a reason... and much of it comes from the mentorship of her tag partner tonight, Rilantha De Nav. Still, Anna didn't fully rely on Ril's ability in this one, taking charge and eventually snatching Donna Nobel into a Small Package Bomb and scoring the victory, cementing herself as a worthy champion.

Evergreen coming up tomorrow night. I've been pretty bad about getting these cards together lately, hopefully I can get myself back into things here soon. Iris Coleman vs. Julian Shepard
Mercy Devine vs. Penelope Lea
Logan Axelrod vs. KyO Crimson Romance vs. The Big Boys Veronika Armstrong vs. Sabrina
Freya O'Malley vs. Jennifer Hunter Kantar vs. Andrea Hawke Tasharun vs. Argent The Sheridan Brothers vs. Oakland's Most Metal (Rebecca/Sayaka)To start things off, Iris Coleman is back in action, and it seems like she's looking to work her way up the ranks once again. Julian Shepard may be a good place to start... but we've seen what Julian can do, and we know how dangerous he can be when he gets rolling. A win by Iris here would do a lot for her future.
Mercy Devine has had a lot of trouble in her own fed as of late, but it's a new year and there's a strong chance she can start to bounce back right here. Still, squaring off with eMo's heavy isn't going to be an easy task... especially with how dominant Penelope Lea has looked in her past few appearances.
It's a battle of relative newcomers to Evergreen, as Logan Axelrod squares off with KyO. And while one might expect Axelrod to flat-out crush the much smaller KyO, it likely won't be quite that easy... expect Sabrina to be at ringside for this one, and that she'll likely be a factor in the match.
The immense duo that is Concrete Pete and Skidmark are back in action together, and they're staring down eMo's iconic tag team in Crimson Romance. It's going to get wild here, with Evergreen rules... and maybe the best chance Crimson Romance will have to topple the big men here.
Veronika Armstrong continues to look towards fighting her way back into contention and making herself back into the dominant champion she was when Evergreen first opened its doors. Against Sabrina, there's simply no telling how that might turn out... the Jersey She-Devil is still one of the craftiest and vicious wrestlers that Evergreen's ever witnessed, and Veronika will have to be vigilant against her.
Both Freya and Jennifer made a huge impact when they first arrived in Evergreen... Freya is still making a splash with every match she has, and Jennifer is now trying to keep up with the Giant-Killer's incredible rise to fame. This one could be a major highlight of the night...
Once again, it seems that Kantar and Tasharun are seeking to grab a stranglehold over Evergreen... but there's always someone willing to stand in their way. Andrea Hawke will attempt to stop Kantar on her own, a task that may prove nearly insurmountable with how much devastation the demon has wrought as of late...
Although all of that pales in comparison to the absolute chaos Tasharun caused last month when he destroyed Kevin Royce in a fit of rage. Now Argent will step forward and once again try to defeat the man who he once called an ally... these two have faced each other plenty of times before, but Argent has never quite managed to come out ahead. Could this be the one?
Finally, the main event will see what could easily be a #1 contender's match for the Evergreen tag titles. The Sheridans have earned a few wins as of late, and are quickly rising back up the ranks... but now they're staring down the Oakland crew, with Rebecca and Sayaka not about to let them slip away without a fight...
