We've got a lot coming up on Monday, and with only one month to go until Sky's the Limit, we've got a whole lot of business to take care of. Anari Lynn Heyward vs. BesosLayla Al-Amin vs. SelishaBlake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa vs. Alexandria Kirison and Markos AndreasListalva Anne Heyward vs. Anna BryantTodd Colton vs. Nathan HainesAngel Leblanc vs. Yuki MaedaThe Rising Storm vs. The Wild WestMichelle Rochefort vs. Sophia Moretti for the Pacific Northwest ChampionshipKicking things off for the night, the Pacific Northwest division takes center stage as it so often does early on the card. Anari Lynn Heyward's reign was cut short by Natasha Clover, but she's looking to climb the rankings once again, and she may have some new tricks up her sleeve this time around... but Besos isn't an opponent to be taken lightly.
Layla Al-Amin has been every bit as good on Showdown as she was on Proving Ground... not to mention her time in Pan-African Wrestling, to boot. But even Layla might have trouble with this week's matchup, as she takes on the Malevolent Triad's Naga Queen, Selisha. It'll be a tough one, to be sure...
We could be witnessing the start of something incredible right here. Perhaps two of the best juniors in the world today, Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa join forces against a team they've already beaten separately in singles matches... can they do the same as a team? And could this put the entire Phoenix Rising tag team division on notice?
Listalva Anne Heyward has been in a brutal slump as of late... wins coming few and far between, and she's struggled to climb out of the basement in the Pacific Northwest rankings. She'll aim to turn her fortunes around this week against Anna Bryant, but does Queen Anne need to reinvent herself to once again find success?
Nathan Haines made his debut last Showdown in a bonus match against Telan Kintelas, and impressed the crowd with his absolutely brutal powerhouse moveset. This week, he finds his way onto the main card, and squares off with perhaps the fastest-rising star in the world: Todd Colton. Todd's still waiting for an answer to his challenge, issued two weeks ago on Evergreen towards Firehawk Sentarl... does he have the focus to take on the newcomer from Wyoming?
Angel Leblanc is still seething after all that's happened between Les Beautes Blondes and the quickly-growing group led by Shiana Sentarl. She'll look to take on Yuki Maeda and strike a blow against Shiana, but does Angel really have what it takes to stand up to the vicious veteran that is Yuki?
This could easily main event damn near any show Phoenix Rising's ever run, but regardless of where it's placed, this tag match could be nigh-apocalyptic. The most decorated team in Phoenix Rising's history will step into the ring with the terrifying power of the Marshalls... but the Rising Storm have always been up to the challenge, no matter who happens to stand across from them in the ring. This will be one hell of a matchup.
We cap off the night with the usual Pacific Northwest Championship defense... Sophia Moretti has finally reached the top of the division after a long, hard-fought struggle, but Michelle Rochefort is out to spoil the Italian's victory and send her crashing back down to square one. Sophia will have to bring her best to overcome this one... and no doubt she'll defend her title with everything she's got.
In addition, we've gotten word that on this show, we will find out who the Black Dragon will defend her title against at Sky's the Limit... so don't miss this one. There's a whole lot coming up, and it's all going to mean something in the end.

Hell of a show this week, with a lot of interesting developments as we move ever closer to Sky's the Limit... we're just a month away now, and the card's slowly but surely taking shape. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/632217839Youtube: youtu.be/lA0Wr2kS3kIQuick Results Anari Lynn Heyward def. Besos Layla Al-Amin def. Selisha Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa def. Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas Listalva Anne Heyward def. Anna Bryant Todd Colton def. Nathan Haines Yuki Maeda def. Angel Leblanc The Wild West def. The Rising Storm Michelle Rochefort def. Sophia Moretti to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Write-ups Anari Lynn Heyward arrived tonight with a new set of gear and perhaps a few new tricks up her sleeve... but what carried her to victory here was a lot of what she's already been doing so well. Besos kept things moving with her usual quickness, but Anari eventually brought this one to a close with a huge powerbomb to pick up the win. Layla Al-Amin was as good as we've seen her in this match, enduring the vicious submissions of Selisha, and keeping up a blistering pace that culminated in a diving DDT followed up with a standing SSP to pick up a much-needed victory. Look out, tag division, we may have a new team looking to shoot for the top. Blake and Avispa looked like proper veterans here, and it perhaps stems from how well the two know each other by now... and Avispa's technique, surprisingly, was what carried the day for them, as he caught Markos in a quick flash pin to pick up a very, very impressive win. It took nearly everything Listalva had in her arsenal to keep Anna down, but she finally pulled it off and perhaps is now coming out of her free-fall. While Anna was tenacious in this one to an incredible degree, Queen Anne's offense steadily wore her down, and a crushing axe kick finally sealed it, and a new-look Lis finally gets back in the wins column. What's a newcomer to do against one of the fastest-rising stars in the world today? Give him everything you've got, obviously... Nathan Haines did just that, throwing nearly everything he could think of at Todd Colton, and just couldn't put this one away for anything. Multiple attempts at the Axe Bomber missed their mark, and the last one led to Todd snapping up his opponent for an Exploder suplex, and the pinfall victory. And then, Firehawk Sentarl hit the ring, finally answering the taunts and the calls that Todd's been making for the past few weeks. Long story short: the match is on for Sky's the Limit... and Todd Colton will have a chance to prove himself at the highest level, on the biggest stage. Les Beautes Blondes continue to have trouble with Shiana and her followers... and it just kept going tonight, as Yuki Maeda seemed to walk right through most of what Angel Leblanc could throw her way. This turned into quite the brawl on the outside, but Yuki would ultimately drop Angel and lock in that familiar Nagata Lock, forcing Angel to tap out... another defeat for the French trio. One of the hardest-hitting matches of the night, between two of the toughest teams around... it seemed like nothing would keep these four down, until Lance finally seemed to get fired up and crushed Xiu Mei Li with the familiar Stampede, and Anahera was a step too slow to break up the winning pinfall. There are two things this match will be remembered for: first, the interference of Shiana Sentarl as she attacked Michelle Rochefort, trying to ruin her opportunity at the Pacific Northwest Championship. The second: Michelle pulling off the victory after Shiana was forced to the back, locking in a knee-breaker submission to force Sophia to submit... beating the Italian at her own game. The Blondes started the night well behind, but ended it with the upper hand... and no doubt, this is going to get a lot uglier before it gets any better. A few moments passed to let the dust settle from the main event... and then, the World Champion, the Black Dragon made her way to the ring, waiting to find out who her challenger at Sky's the Limit would be. And to her surprise... appearing at the top of the stage, walking to the ring after her, was Laenara Kintelas. The challenge is clear... Laenara wants another shot at the top spot, and with her confidence brimming, could she finally topple the most dominant champion in Phoenix Rising's history? Shiana Sentarl Flanked by Pure Gold, with Yuki Maeda seated on a bench in the background, Shiana looks less than pleased about the outcome of the main event. "I suppose you're awfully proud of yourself. Overcoming Sophia and myself to claim the championship. Do you think it's simply over just because you somehow managed to win despite all of that? Do you think I'm just going to let you walk away? All you've done, Miss Rochefort, is ensure that the target that's on not only your back, but that of the rest of your arrogant little trio, has only gotten bigger. Every single one of you had best watch your backs... because the moment you turn around, I just might be standing there ready to knock you out with a superkick the likes of which nobody else in Phoenix Rising is capable of.
It's truly insane, though... do you hear the crowds? Do you hear them now? They support you. You and your arrogant bitch of a leader. Just a year ago I never would've dreamed that someone would dare to cheer Angel Leblanc against anyone in that ring, and yet... every time I'm out there, it's all I hear. They cheer for you, for Angel, for arrogance and excess. But when I'm finished with this... with you... if they want to keep cheering for you, they'll cheer for a trio of losers. Failures. A group of Frenchwomen who couldn't measure up to the Queen of Phoenix Rising.
Mark my words... Michelle... Elise... Angel. Come Sky's the Limit... we will settle this. One way or another."

Coming up a bit late this week, what with the Academy show also happening. But Proving Ground is ready to go for Monday, as usual. Nick MacLeod vs. Avery Adonis Alexander
Fresh Suzuki vs. Katherine White
Sanya Markov vs. Gary Gear
Adrenaline Rush vs. The Limbtakers
Felice Santana vs. La Corsaria
Kellaron Sentarl vs. Silver Hawk
Leona Sterling vs. Calista Vargas
Victor Kintelas vs. Kyle Anderson
Amber and Arthur Wright vs. Akira and Rin Ryusaki Kicking things off this week, the Scottish newcomer steps into the ring with one-half of the Muscle Machines, as Nick MacLeod seeks to break Avery Adonis Alexander in half like he's nearly managed to do to most of his opponents thus far on Proving Ground... AAA will be out to take the fight to MacLeod here, trying to get the Muscle Machines back into contention for championship gold once again. Katherine White hasn't always found herself on the show, but when she does make an appearance, she makes the most of it. She'll get more of an opportunity this week as she squares off with Fresh Suzuki, who finds herself flying solo this week as her Winter Fresh partner, Rin Ryusaki, finds herself otherwise preoccupied in the main event later in the show. The other half of the Muscle Machines has just as tough of a challenge with a newcomer this week. Gary Gear has to deal with the Russian, Sanya Markov, and having already seen what he's capable of in past weeks, this one's likely to go sideways in a hurry if either side gets their momentum rolling along... After falling just short of her goal in the Inspire contender tournament, Candace Monroe returns to the tag team division as the Limbtakers look to build their way back up to the top once again. And although the challengers for Sky's the Limit have already been decided, it certainly couldn't hurt to start down that path now... as who knows whether the Golden Ambush will retain at that show? Felice Santana has come a long way in her time on Proving Ground, from a fresh-faced rookie barely figuring things out to a surprisingly tough young woman that never seems to be out of it until the bell rings. La Corsaria, meanwhile, may have flamed out in the Inspire tournament, but she's no less dangerous than she's ever been throughout her time in the Academy and here on Proving Ground... This one's gonna be wild. Kellaron Sentarl came achingly close to winning the Top Prospect tournament last time out, but fell short against his long-time partner, Victor Kintelas. Undaunted, however, he'll return to the ring to continue building himself up, hoping to still eventually challenge for that title. Standing in his way this week is Silver Hawk, who's through being overlooked... and while his Avian Assassin partner is nowhere to be found, he'll still be looking to take down one of the best Proving Ground's got. This is a clash of two of the fastest-rising stars in the Inspire division, and the fact that neither eventually won the Inspire tournament comes as something of a surprise. Indeed, many thought Leona Sterling would come out on top from the beginning, but the young Scot fell well short of that goal... and Calista Vargas was surprisingly taken down by the eventual winner, Reina del Tigre. In another universe, perhaps, this might've been a tournament final? The current #1 contender and winner of the Top Prospect tournament, Victor Kintelas now steps into the ring with a fellow former champion in Kyle Anderson. Kyle will be just coming off of an appearance with Golden Touch Promotions, representing his supreme workrate... combine this with Kyle's impressive strength, and Victor will have his hands full ahead of his challenge at Sky's the Limit. Finally, capping off the night, it's something of a Champion vs. Champion matchup, as the Inspire and Top Prospect champions step into the ring with their usual tag partners to square off. Inspire Champion Amber Wright brings her brother Arthur along to face Top Prospect Akira Ryusaki alongside his sister, Rin. It'll be an intense cap to the night, and has a good shot at being a wild conclusion to the first Phoenix Rising show of June.

This was one of the wildest Proving Ground episodes in a long time, and filled with some truly incredible matches. Some of these could easily go on the shortlist for Phoenix Rising's Match of the Year. It was nuts. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/638856959Youtube: youtu.be/OblDWSHQZh0Quick Results Nick MacLeod def. Avery Adonis Alexander Katherine White def. Fresh Suzuki Sanya Markov def. Gary Gear Adrenaline Rush def. The Limbtakers La Corsaria def. Felice Santana Silver Hawk def. Kellaron Sentarl Calista Vargas def. Leona Sterling Victor Kintelas def. Kyle Anderson Akira and Rin Ryusaki def. Amber and Arthur Wright Bonus: Victoria Fox def. Sung Moon Write-ups The night kicked off with the pride of Scotland, as Nick MacLeod squared off with one-half of the Muscle Machines. And for most of this one, the Scottish powerhouse just dismantled AAA, despite Gary Gear actually proving useful at one point, for once. But the end seemed inevitable, and MacLeod came out with the win. Fresh Suzuki gave this one her all, but Katherine White continues to show that she's one of Proving Ground's brightest stars despite her lack of opportunities. Perhaps those opportunities will begin to come now... no doubt she's earned that much with this impressive victory. Nick MacLeod was impressive against AAA... Sanya Markov was monstrous against Gary Gear. This was nothing short of a sprint to the finish, with Sanya ultimately obliterating Gear with a trio of Orange Crushes to pick up the fastest win of the night. Upset of the night, without a doubt. Adrenaline Rush came into this with the best performance they've given in Phoenix Rising, staying a step ahead of the Limbtakers, and ultimately, Tommy Thunder would level Candace Monroe with a diving DDT, picking up a truly colossal win for his team. Felice Santana kept pace with the dangerous La Corsaria, but despite the mistakes Corsaria made, she still managed to land a crushing facebuster to pick up the win, barely slipping past Felice... she may have won, but it's certainly not how she wanted the night to go. The first fantastic match of the night, these two workrate kings brought everything they had at each other: with Kellaron working his signature crossface holds, and Silver Hawk going for the leglock, it was instead the Silver Star Press that brought this one to an end, giving Silver Hawk a hard-fought victory. This match might've even outdone the previous one. Two women that have easily been near the top of the Inspire division from the moment they arrived, they threw literally everything they had at each other, short of Calista's Stormbreaker. Calista managed to endure a Guillotine from Leona, along with a few other submissions, and finally managed to land a jumping facebuster, narrowly picking up the win. Make no mistake: Victor Kintelas was out to prove something tonight, and he damn well did that against one of Proving Ground's best. He is the #1 contender for the Top Prospect Championship, and he won't let anyone stand in his way... not Kyle, not Akira, not his own tag partner. A Kintelas Driver settled this one, despite Kyle managing to land the full Five Star Combination at one point. Somewhat of a Champion vs. Champion match, this didn't disappoint, with everyone mixing it up at various points in the match. Amber in particular took a brutal shot that left the Inspire Champion bloodied, but undaunted, but it was Akira that would end up putting this one away, a Pole Shift Flowsion keeping Arthur down and reaffirming his place at the top. Finally, an extra bonus match took place post-show, bringing one Victoria Fox in from the very same alternate reality as Andrea Hawke... her resemblance to Victor Kintelas, of course, very much intentional. Victoria erupted in this one, as well, taking on Sung Moon and showing that although she shares a lot of similarity with Victor, she's got her own tricks... such as stealing Sung Moon's Scissors Kick and following it up with a brutal Spear to score the victory.

No time to rest, we've got Evergreen coming up on Thursday, and it's seeing a couple of returns to the ring after some time off to recover. Babe Ruthless vs. Zack Sheridan
Jennifer Hunter vs. Ash Defiant
El Verde vs. Luci/Chasity
Rebecca Andrews vs. Iris Coleman
Kevin Royce vs. Julian Shepard
Mercy Devine vs. Sayaka Saito
Concrete Pete and Skidmark vs. The Bingo Hall Mutants
Veronika Armstrong vs. Eddy Introspect Kicking things off, Babe Ruthless and Zack Sheridan square off. Both have somewhat found it difficult to gain a foothold in Evergreen lately, but this could be a solid turnaround for either side... exactly what they need to get back into contention. Jennifer Hunter debuted last episode in impressive fashion against Iris Coleman, and now she faces tougher fare in Ash Defiant. This Boston brawler could be taking Evergreen by storm with a win over Ash, but it's not going to be easy to simply walk in and pull that off... El Verde remains one of the premiere teams in Evergreen, and with both halves of the team coming away victorious last time out, they return to the ring as a team to square off with the mysterious eMo team of Luci and Chasity. This could be a major chance for eMo to continue asserting its dominance over Evergreen... or for El Verde to show that they can still challenge any team in the fed. Iris Coleman's finally getting a chance to step up, and against Rebecca Andrews, she almost has to if she wants to prove she's ready to move up. With Evergreen only having one singles belt, the goal has to be shooting for the top... but perhaps at some point this might change? Kevin Royce is back in town. A month after Elly Blackwood seemingly knocked him for a loop, the hardcore veteran is back in the ring to take on Julian Shepard, and no doubt Kevin will be out to show he's not losing a step even through a minor injury. Julian, meanwhile, could make a huge impact by taking down one of the toughest men in the Pacific Northwest. Mercy Devine, as well, makes her return to the ring this week to face Sayaka Saito... but we really have no idea what's going to happen. The last time we saw Mercy, she was struck by a full-force Change of Heart by the Phantom Thief... and though we've always heard rumors about that move's power, the last time he hit it full-power, Laenara Kintelas changed... only subtly, it seemed. Mercy, however, is a much different person than Laenara... we have no idea what to expect here. The big boys are coming back out to play again. Pete and Skidmark are quickly becoming a more regular team despite past differences, but this is a challenge that even they might not be able to measure up to... the Bingo Hall Mutants have been incredible as of late, perhaps poised to make another run at the Evergreen tag titles. Finally, Veronika Armstrong is on the warpath. After eMo seemingly tried to take her out of action, she's made it very clear that her goal is to topple Strawberry Sookie at Sky's the Limit... but she's got to get through the next two shows, first, starting with Eddy Introspect. No doubt this will be a tough one, with Eddy being one-half of the reigning tag team champions.

Evergreen's got just one more show left before Sky's the Limit now, and given what we saw tonight, and what we're finding ourselves dealing with... Evergreen might be in for some upheaval in the near future. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/641669246Youtube: youtu.be/OLt6sTJt9MAQuick Results Babe Ruthless def. Zack Sheridan Ash Defiant def. Jennifer Hunter El Verde def. Luci/Chasity (Crimson Romance) Rebecca Andrews def. Iris Coleman Kevin Royce def. Julian Shepard Sayaka Saito def. Mercy Devine? Kiana Yamazaki? WHAT HAPPEN The Bingo Hall Mutants def. Concrete Pete and Skidmark Veronika Armstrong def. Eddy Introspect Andrea Hawke def. Kylie Anderson Write-ups A hot opener as usual, with Babe Ruthless putting up with precisely zero shit from Zack Sheridan, landing a crushing knee drop from the top rope to put him away and pick up a decisive victory. Jennifer Hunter made a huge statement last time out, but this week showed that the newcomer still has a ways to go before she can break into the upper echelons of Evergreen. Still, she put up a valiant fight against Ash Defiant, before getting crushed by a Defiant Bomb to give Ash the win. El Verde might be looking to fight their way, once again, into contention for the Evergreen tag titles. And while Luci and Chasity did their best to shut the lucha team down, Verde would simply not be denied, crushing Luci with a Pedigree and snapping her up in a Magistral while Evergringo blocked the save. Iris Coleman seemed outmatched here, and while she seemed to be mounting a comeback late, Rebecca Andrews shut her down almost immediately with a crushing Go 2 Sleep that laid Iris out. Hardly any bad blood between these two, however, with Rebecca accompanying Iris to the back post-match. This match might've been a mistake, at least in terms of Julian's side of things. If you're Kevin Royce, though, this was two things: a show of dominance and a statement to the rest of Evergreen. He absolutely destroyed Julian, and that can't be remotely doubted... and clearly, his minor injury was just that: minor. Oh, god, Thief, what have you done? We didn't see any hint of Mercy Devine last time around, but she was due to make her return tonight: but this was not Mercy as we know her, far more reminiscent of the alternate version of her brought to Andrea Hawke's show back in April. It didn't do her much good, either way: Sayaka Saito didn't show a hint of hesitation against her leader's long-time rival, though no doubt we may be seeing the fallout of the Change of Heart for weeks to come. This was as close as anyone's come to beating the Mutants without picking up the victory. Pete and Skidmark seemed to have the plan down... but positioning won out, preventing Pete from making a save, and the Mutants narrowly escaped this one with another victory, leaving the Mutants still easily the most dominant team in Evergreen. Veronika Armstrong isn't looking past her opponents ahead of Sky's the Limit. Facing down Eddy Introspect, she didn't hesitate for a moment to plow through him, roaring into this match with a ferocity we haven't seen from her in a while. And while Eddy put up a solid fight, Veronika crushed him with a top rope knee, and now sets her sights on Penelope Lea... and then, Sookie herself. Andrea Hawke didn't make it onto the main card, but Evergreen wasn't about to leave her out entirely... so Andrea brought in a friend for a bonus match. Kylie Anderson showed a lot of power and agility in this match, but Andrea, seemingly sick of dropping matches in Evergreen, would eventually catch Kylie off guard while she went into a portion of the familiar Five Star Combo, rolling her up for a shock victory. Mercy (?) There was definitely some commotion backstage after the show, and most of it was focused around Mercy... or, as she now seemed to be answering to, Kiana Yamazaki. "You're sure you didn't... somehow switch places with the other one...?" "No, I'm pretty sure that didn't happen." Kiana shook her head, her gaze straying around the room at the familiar faces. Of course she knew every single one, she'd been Mercy up until a month ago... when the Thief's actions had started this change.
"I don't believe a damn bit of it, to be honest." Veronika stepped forward, arms folded, attention firmly on the familiar, yet... unfamiliar woman. "Seems right up your alley to fake a change and stab someone in the back the moment you've got the chance."
"I was hoping you'd show up, Veronika." Kiana stepped forward herself, Veronika tense as she clenched her fists. "See, I... it's not like I don't remember who I was. It's just that for about a week after I took that move, my mind was just flooded by everything I did as 'Mercy Devine'. Basically he forced me to face who I was. Wanted to force me to change. Guess it worked, 'cause... this is what I'm gonna do."
"Fuckin' hell..." Veronika groaned. "I don't even know what I think about this mess. And conveniently, he's not around when I'd want to get in his face the most. Yeah, I think you're a... were, a trash person, but you're also the fuckin' BOSS around here, dammit, and what the hell are we supposed to do if he's taken away everything that made you... Evergreen?!"
"Nothing's going to change for Evergreen. The only thing that's changed is me. And if you think I'm just going to suddenly turn into a pushover 'cause I'm not all-in hardcore anymore... then after Sky's the Limit. You and me. I'll show you exactly how things are gonna be."
"Real bold, wanting to be the first in line to challenge the new champ." Veronika smirked. "Because make no mistake, I'm beating Penelope next show, and I'm beating Sookie at Sky's the Limit. So when we meet in that ring... you're gonna be up against the one thing you always hated the most. Then we'll see how real this change is."

We're getting closer and closer to the big one. The Wrestlemania equivalent. Sky's the Limit is just three weeks away now, and pretty soon, the card's going to be absolutely complete. But first, we've got a bit more to get through: Showdown's coming up on Monday, and here's what we've got. Rilantha De Nav vs. Yuki Maeda
Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Layla Al-Amin
The Malevolent Triad (Oscuro and Selisha) vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Angel and Elise)
Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Anna Bryant
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Xiu Mei Li
Todd Colton vs. Anahera
Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa vs. The Wild West
Haruka Matsura vs. Michelle Rochefort for the Pacific Northwest Championship Kicking things off, it's two of Phoenix Rising's most seasoned veterans. Rilantha De Nav, the premiere technician, against Yuki Maeda, a wrecking ball even at her age. We're opening the show hot, and no doubt both women are going to be out to prove themselves over the other... could Yuki be making waves about moving up from the Pacific Northwest division? Listalva Anne Heyward snapped a frustrating losing streak last time out, with a new look and some new moves. But this might be the real test of all of that: Layla Al-Amin has remained one of the Pacific Northwest division's highlights from day one, and the Cairo Cyclone isn't likely to back down against Queen Anne... The field is starting to narrow when it comes to finding out who will challenge the SFG for the tag titles after Sky's the Limit. And this week, it's a brutal test of two of the meanest, most vicious groups in Phoenix Rising: The Malevolent Triad, seeing Fenix Oscuro taking the lead, taking on Les Beautes Blondes, with Elise Pichon stepping into the ring while Michelle Rochefort defends her newly-won Pacific Northwest Championship. Can the French duo overcome the brutal Triad? And just what does Shiana Sentarl have in store for them this time? Anna Bryant fell short against one Heyward last time around, so now she challenges the other... and it may be a decision she comes to regret. Anari also debuted a new look last week, and showed she's every bit the powerhouse and every bit as dangerous as she's ever been... the rookie will have an uphill battle here. A pair of matches that have a competitive streak to them: The Rising Storm, separately taking on two men that have a nasty grudge to settle. Starting things off, Firehawk Sentarl takes on Xiu Mei Li, in what's certain to be a hard-hitting matchup, with the Phoenix taking on perhaps one of the best strikers in Phoenix Rising, not to mention Xiu's aptitude for submissions... And on the other side, the Maori warrior that is Anahera sets her sights on Todd Colton. Todd's rise to fame has been very well-documented, but when it comes to wrestlers in Phoenix Rising that have aspired to greatness, there are perhaps none like Anahera, who's spent her entire career aiming to prove herself against the best and brightest. If Todd isn't careful, this could be a major achievement on Anahera's path back towards the top... Who would've guessed that a duo of Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa would be so dangerous? Well, probably literally everyone. But this week's test might be a bit much. The Wild West have made it no secret that they're looking to claim the tag titles, no matter who they have to go through... the Marshalls could very easily pull it off, too, if Blake and Avispa don't bring their best. We close the night by continuing the Triad vs. LBB feud, with Haruka Matsura looking to dethrone Michelle Rochefort as Pacific Northwest Champion. Nobody's managed to defend this title since Todd Colton... since he lost it to Minoru Hoshino, no champion has successfully defended the belt, but Michelle will look to break this seeming curse and send the Triad packing, hopefully for the second time in one night...

It's like a textbook "how hard can a show foul up my plans" kinda night. :V Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/645547022Youtube: youtu.be/2XplpqLKAdIQuick Results Rilantha De Nav def. Yuki Maeda Layla Al-Amin def. Listalva Anne Heyward Les Beautes Blondes def. The Malevolent Triad Anna Bryant def. Anari Lynn Heyward Firehawk Sentarl def. Xiu Mei Li Anahera def. Todd Colton The Wild West def. Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa Haruka Matsura def. Michelle Rochefort to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Kelly Wolfe def. Rachel White Write-ups Everything you could ever expect from these two veterans. They tore it up to open the show, with Yuki throwing out a ton of her usual power offense, and Ril staying in the fight with her technical prowess... landing a Complete Shot after being dumped out of the ring, and roaring back to pick up the win. Layla Al-Amin didn't give a single care about Lis's seeming "revival", and absolutely blitzed her from bell to bell. Lis did her best to keep up, but the Cairo Cyclone lived up to her reputation tonight, and made life difficult... although some were questioning a late no-call of a ropebreak that seemed obvious to some. A truly vicious contest throughout, but make no mistake, Les Beautes Blondes hung in there for the entire match mostly on the back of Elise Pichon, who seemed nearly unstoppable most of the time she spent in the ring. Even Oscuro couldn't seem to get a foothold, and finally, Angel would land a crushing German suplex to pick up the win. Now Angel sets her sights on a much bigger target... Who could've ever guessed this outcome might happen? With Anna struggling to find her footing on Showdown, and Anari seemingly surging, it seemed like a no-brainer... and then, out of nowhere, Anna seemed to get a huge surge of energy, kicked out of a brutal powerbomb, and snapped up a flash pin for the colossal upset. Early on, it looked like Firehawk was in charge, landing an early Phoenix Dive and making it clear that Xiu was going to need to work hard to make a comeback. And to her credit, she did just that... fighting her way back into the match over time, but Firehawk never really let it get out of control, landing a brainbuster and picking up the win. For the first time since shifting to the World title division, Todd Colton has met a roadblock. Anahera was not willing to give him an inch tonight, and as the timer ticked up past the length of Firehawk's previous match, Todd was nowhere near being in control of this match... and Anahera, sensing blood in the water, locked in her devastating Katahajime and choked Todd out to pick up the win. A major setback for the brash young man as he prepares to take on Firehawk... Speed didn't quite measure up to power this time. And despite Lance making a number of strange mis-steps in this match, Cassandra was right there to pick up the slack, crushing Avispa with a brutal spear late in the match to pick up the win, and seemingly lining the Wild West up for a potential shot at the tag titles. The Pacific Northwest Championship just might be cursed. At least, that's what some say. Since Todd Colton lost the title to Minoru Hoshino, there have now been FIVE champions, none of which have made a successful defense... and Michelle, sadly, was very much the same, as Haruka Matsura landed her Death From Above to pick up the win and the title. What the hell is happening to this division? Last week, we got Victoria Fox debuting against Sung Moon. This week, it seems we've met her partner, Kelly Wolfe, and what a statement she made... a counterpart to Kellaron Sentarl, it would seem, but in many ways much more vicious and focused. Rachel White got the full force of her offense here, with Kelly locking in multiple armbars and eventually forcing Rachel to tap out. A Fox and a Wolfe... and a very, very dangerous team, perhaps, in the making. Firehawk Sentarl "It's going to take a whole hell of a lot more than that if you want to beat me at Sky's the Limit, Todd. I'm not selling Anahera short... on any given day, she's capable of beating anyone. But you're gonna have to be at a different level in three weeks, or I promise you, Todd... I'm going to run right the hell through you, and shut your mouth for good. You've got one more show to prove you're better than that. I'll be watching." Eri Sentarl "So... I'm, uh... hearing some stuff about my decision a few weeks back to shift into the tag division, and conveniently... y'know. The Pacific Northwest title suddenly becomes... well, a hot potato. So... I don't know if people are gonna be upset to hear it, but I really did get kind of a... weird feeling. Pushing me to focus on tagging with Kae for a while, turn my focus away from the singles belt until the right time.
... I swear I don't have anything to do with that belt turning 'cursed', though. I PROMISE you, I didn't do anything.
... besides, I don't even know how you'd do that." Angel Leblanc "So now my attention must return to the main target... Shiana, we have now swept aside all that stood in our way, and it is your turn. I propose a challenge of sorts... I will send two of mine... you send two of yours, on the next show. The winner may decide the rules for our match at Sky's the Limit. I have no doubt that you'll accept these terms... and I have just the sort of match in mind for us. You had best pick the ones you trust the most, however... you wouldn't want to step into the ring unprepared, hm...?"

We've got Proving Ground coming up Monday. Card's a little late but we're good to go. La Corsaria vs. Katherine White Kellaron Sentarl vs. Rafael Gallego
Winter Fresh vs. Adrenaline Rush
Candace Monroe vs. Leona Sterling
HAYATO vs. Hugo Dirksen
Calista Vargas vs. Christina Wagner
Titania vs. Gabriela Gallego
Sanya Markov and Nick MacLeod vs. The Muscle Machines
Silver Hawk vs. Kyle Anderson Kicking things off this week, we see two women who have seen some success as of late, with both setting their sights on rising even higher for the second half of 2020. Corsaria's always been dangerous, no matter where she goes, but Katherine White has become a huge threat in the ring since her promotion to Proving Ground... Kellaron Sentarl keeps falling short lately, but he'll be attempting to get himself back on track as he squares off with Rafael Gallego, in Rafael's singles debut. There's simply no telling how this might turn out... can Kellaron turn his fortunes around? Or does he simply need a change of surroundings? Winter Fresh might not have been active last time out, as Rin teamed with her brother Akira, instead, but they're back together this week as they take on Adrenaline Rush, who are coming off of perhaps the most shocking victory of the year, having beaten the Limbtakers. Can Adrenaline Rush get their momentum going with another win here? Leona Sterling and Candace Monroe have a history with each other. This, we've known for a long time now... but their only clashes have been elsewhere, never crossing paths in their home fed until now. Leona, perhaps sensing that something might be coming on the horizon, wasn't about to let this opportunity slip past... This is one to watch, without a doubt. With champions and challengers alike taking it easy this week to prepare for Sky's the Limit, it's a chance for some of the newcomers to step into the spotlight. And here, we get to see what HAYATO can do on his own as he squares off with the resident Dutchman, Hugo Dirksen. If HAYATO is anything like his sister in singles, Hugo's in for a tough night. Calista Vargas remains close to the top of the Inspire division just six months after her arrival on Proving Ground... she's been absolutely incredible week after week. But her speed and agility will be put to the test here against Christina Wagner, as the German-Canadian seeks to send her Brazilian foe tumbling right back down the ranks. Where one Gallego goes, the other is likely to follow. Gabriela is here to take a rare singles match, and she's got maybe the toughest order of the night... squaring off with Titania. And while Titania's reputation has perhaps faded a little as of late, she's still perhaps the most dangerous woman on Proving Ground... Gabriela will need to bring her best. The Muscle Machines lost to these two in separate singles matches last time around... and now, they'll team up in the hopes of salvaging their reputation. Sanya Markov and Nick MacLeod are easily two of the toughest newcomers Proving Ground has seen in a long time... and the Machines are going to need to be on the same page for once if they want to come out ahead in this one. Finally, capping off the night, Silver Hawk looks to ride a wave of momentum as he takes on Kyle Anderson, in what's nearly certain to be one of the best matches of the night. Clashing styles will come into play, of course, but there's simply no doubt that these two bring their best every single night... Leona Sterling "Here we are, standing on the last show before Sky's the Limit... and neither of us made it to that big one. Both of us fell short of where we wanted to be. But that's fine. See... I keep hearing rumors about you and Alger wanting to move on from here. Slip away to Showdown and test yourselves there. You think you're gonna get away from me before I've had my shot at you? Before we've gotten our chance to settle this once and for all? Because last I checked, we're dead-even... and I'm ready to finish this. So we don't get the big stage to handle this... that's fine. There won't be any excuses. No stage fright, no worries. Just you and me in one last fight to the finish.
And when I've beaten you, Candace, choked you out just like I did in that cage years ago, you'll admit to my face that I'm the better fighter, the better wrestler... the better woman."

Proving Ground's closed out its first half of the year, and did it in style, that's for sure. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/652227056Youtube: youtu.be/Xl87pS674n0Quick Results Katherine White def. La Corsaria Rafael Gallego def. Kellaron Sentarl Winter Fresh def. Adrenaline Rush Candace Monroe def. Leona Sterling Hugo Dirksen def. HAYATO Christina Wagner def. Calista Vargas Gabriela Gallego def. Titania Sanya Markov and Nick MacLeod def. The Muscle Machines Silver Hawk def. Kyle Anderson Write-ups More and more, we're getting to see just how good Katherine White is becoming. Against one of the tougher opponents she's faced, she rose to the occasion in a big way, and pulled off a huge win, knocking Corsaria flat with a Kamigoye to keep her momentum hot. Singles debut or not, Rafael Gallego looked incredible out there tonight, giving Kellaron Sentarl all he could handle and snapping off a hard Frankensteiner pin, taking a hard-fought victory home. It's tough to count the Gallegos out at any point, now... they've shown themselves to be dangerous no matter what match they're in. Winter Fresh wasn't going to be denied this one, and it was Fresh Suzuki that seemed to carry them here, never letting up when she was in the ring. This devolved into a wild brawl on the outside near the end, but once it returned to the ring, Fresh caught Thunder in a quick flash pin, and pulled off one of the most impressive wins of the night. If this is the last time we see these two square off for a long while, it might be enough to tide us over. Both women came at each other with all they had, and Candace even took a page out of Leona's book at one point... but what carried her to victory? None other than one of her trainer's specialties: a Gotch-style piledriver put Leona down, and Candace took the win thanks to Alexandria Kirison's teachings. One has to remember that Hugo Dirksen is perhaps one of the most skilled technicians on Proving Ground... and he certainly proved it here, staying ahead of HAYATO the whole way en route to locking in the Cattle Mutilation, and looking like a potential contender after Sky's the Limit. Calista Vargas stayed in this match for longer than anyone might have anticipated... but a single lapse in judgment might have cost her the win. Christina took advantage, though, and eventually spiked the Brazilian with a DDT, and managed to escape the match... which few have managed to do, as of late, against Calista. Wagner's partner did not fare nearly so well in her match. Titania was certainly not at the top of her game here, but at the same time, she did land a Titanic Bomb that Gabriela was able to shrug off... and a huge 450 Splash gave Gabriela easily the most stunning victory of the show, perhaps of the year. After showing up as seemingly a complete unknown, Gabriela has now made a huge statement... is Proving Ground on notice now? You see this match, you expect a certain outcome, and you damn well got that outcome: this was a hoss brawl without any doubt, a serious powerhouse fight to the finish, with everyone getting their shots in... but Sanya Markov won the day, crushing Gary Gear, and AAA barely missed making the save in true Muscle Machine fashion. Top Prospect could be in Silver Hawk's future once again if he keeps up this momentum. Kyle Anderson never seemed to find his footing in this match, with Silver Hawk keeping up a relentless pace, never letting up for a second and landing a huge Silver Star Press, and he came away with a win over one of Proving Ground's best. Candace Monroe "So lemme give you the response you've been waiting for, Leona. Now that the dust has settled, and we've gone through the whole song and dance... and I won. All that talk, all that swagger, and ya' fell short. See, I showed ya' something at that April 1 show when we fought shoot-style, that I'm not the same person I was back in that cage against you. And I'm something even more when it comes to fighting on Proving Ground. I've become one of the top stars around here, you're still creating your legacy in the new surroundings. So here's what I'm gonna say. Yeah, I may wind up going to Showdown. I might leave this place and step up.
So what I'm asking of you is what you basically asked of me without a word, all that time ago. You rise through the ranks here. You make your name from scratch, like I had to.
You make your way to Showdown someday yourself... and we'll really put each other to the test. Top of our game, best of the best. I'll be watching and waiting."

Evergreen's last show before Sky's the Limit, and we've got a big one to go through. Kiana Yamazaki vs. Vincent Sheridan
Chasity vs. Iris Coleman Julian Shepard vs. Ash Defiant El Verde vs. The Bingo Hall Mutants Luci vs. Jennifer Hunter Andrea Hawke vs. Zack Sheridan Veronika Armstrong vs. Penelope Lea Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito vs. eMo (Eddy Introspect and Strawberry Sookie) for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships
Kicking things off this week, we continue to reel somewhat from the change that's come over Mercy Devine... turning her, seemingly, into her alternate counterpart. That said, she's stated that she won't walk away from Evergreen just because the Phantom Thief changed her so fundamentally... but can Kiana really hang in the land of hardcore without... being hardcore? eMo's got a busy night ahead of them, with every single member in a match here... starting with Chasity, as she squares off with Iris Coleman. Iris is still finding her footing here in Evergreen, but she's slowly but surely proving herself, and a win here could make that clearer than ever. Julian Shepard continues to struggle as of late, and this match could do one of two things: help pull him out of a nosedive, or send him crashing even harder. Ash Defiant is no pushover, and Julian will need to be focused if he wants to find his way out of this horrific slump he's in. Would you believe the last time we saw these two teams clash was almost a full year ago? July 2019, Evergreen #14, the last time we witnessed El Verde taking on the Mutants... and how things have changed over the past year. Can the lucha duo pick up the upset victory this time around? Or will the Mutants do as they always do, and crush anything and everything in their way? Jennifer Hunter might have stumbled slightly last time out against Ash Defiant, but the Boston native isn't slowing down around here... her sights are now set on Luci, and a win here could easily get Hunter right back on track to rise through the ranks again. Still, Luci has proven more than a bit dangerous as of late... Andrea Hawke re-enters the main card this week (after being left off and put in a bonus match last time), and Zack Sheridan's the one who has to deal with that fact. It's unlikely that Zack walks away from this one feeling particularly good about it, but one never can tell when he's involved. Veronika Armstrong has one final hurdle to pass before she challenges Strawberry Sookie for the Evergreen Championship at Sky's the Limit: Penelope Lea stands in her way. That said, Veronika looked as dangerous as we've ever seen her against Eddy Introspect last time out... and no doubt Sookie will have given orders towards Penelope to take out Veronika and stop her momentum cold. Finally, Sookie herself has a match ahead of her clash with Veronika... defending her other title alongside Eddy Introspect. The Evergreen Tag Team Championships are on the line here, as the other two-thirds of Oakland's Most Metal look to topple eMo and reclaim one of Evergreen's championships for themselves. By the end of June, could we see the Oakland crew as dominant over Evergreen as eMo's been for months? Veronika Armstrong "I could say it all comes down to this. Could tell you that this show's the one thing that matters. But that's not true... this is important, sure. Tag titles on the line. Rebecca and Sayaka looking to break your stranglehold on Evergreen. Penelope standing in my way, trying to keep me away from the big title. But you need to understand this, Sookie... I'm coming for that title, no matter what you try to do. No matter who you put in my way. It's time that the Evergreen Championship came home. I was the first to hold that title... I fought my way through the toughest Evergreen had to offer at that point. And I'm damn well going to get it back. So make no mistake, Sookie... this show's gonna be my message straight to you before we face each other at Sky's the Limit. So you better be listening."

Evergreen's wrapped up the first half of its year, and closed out with a bang, lemme tell ya. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/655064841Youtube: youtu.be/RUMUFDKfgGkQuick Results Kiana Yamazaki def. Vincent Sheridan Iris Coleman def. Chasity Ash Defiant def. Julian Shepard The Bingo Hall Mutants def. El Verde Luci def. Jennifer Hunter Andrea Hawke def. Zack Sheridan Veronika Armstrong def. Penelope Lea eMo def. Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito to retain the Evergreen Tag Team Championships Sabrina def. Babe Ruthless Write-ups We got a better look at who Mercy Devine is now... and this was a much more impressive showing for her than last show, as she showed a surprising technical ability and came out well ahead of Vincent, eventually winning this match with perhaps the most impressive technical work she's ever done. Still... the Evergreen crowd is likely to miss her old hardcore ways, leading some to wonder if things will ever really be the same. Iris Coleman got things off to a roaring start here, and while Chasity hung in there for as long as she could, the Wrecking Ball eventually overpowered her, locking in a Triangle Lancer and scoring a very strong victory. There's simply no doubt: Iris is quickly making a name for herself, and handing eMo a loss will endear her to the Evergreen regulars, as well. Julian Shepard is having a lot of trouble lately, and it was very clear in this match as Ash Defiant just ran right through him. Aside from a couple of spots that gave him the upper hand, Ash was in charge here, and a frenzy of her biggest moves at the end would bring this one to a screeching halt. Another Mutants match, another dominant showing, with El Verde never really finding their way. Much as they've changed in the year since they last faced the Mutants, it simply wasn't enough to change the outcome even a little bit. Jennifer Hunter did her absolute best to try and pound Luci into submission, but it just wasn't taking. And Luci, eventually, wrested control of the match to her own favor, opening up a brutal cut by biting Hunter open, and eventually finishing her with a mandible claw, ensuring eMo would have at least one victory to their name tonight. Andrea Hawke was in no mood to put up with Zack Sheridan's attitude tonight. And while Zack held his own for a little while, eventually, it swung heavily in Andrea's favor, and a hard brainbuster laid Zack out for good. Nobody is left to stand in the way of Veronika Armstrong. Penelope Lea was a tough one here, doing everything she could to keep Veronika down, but make no mistake: this was a brawl from start to finish, and brawls always seem to go in Veronika's favor when she's at her best. And right now... it seems she's absolutely at her best, meaning Sookie may want to watch her step. This match seemed to be all in Eddy's favor. Rebecca and Sayaka put forth the best they could, but Eddy was clearly putting a lot more into this match than usual, and it showed... eventually, he'd trap Rebecca in a brutal facelock, and scored the win, retained the tag titles, and made sure eMo remains on top of the mountain in Evergreen for at least a while longer. It may have come as something of a surprise, but an extra match ran after the main event... and introduced none other than the Jersey She-Devil, Sabrina. We found out exactly what she's about, as well, in very short order: suffice to say, she'd fit right in with the Evergreen crew, with all manner of underhanded moves, very little actual wrestling ability, and all the attitude in the world. Perfect for the 50-state project's New Jersey representative.

We're coming up on the last Phoenix Rising show before Sky's the Limit. With Showdown on Monday, all that'll be left is the Academy show one week from today, and then... then we get to the fun bit. Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Sophia Moretti
Anna Bryant vs. Layla Al-Amin
The Sentarl Sisters vs. Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa
Natasha Clover vs. Selisha
Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Yuki Maeda
Urani Whitemist vs. Lance Marshall
Les Beautes Blondes vs. Pure Gold, winner chooses stipulation for Shiana vs. Angel at Sky's the Limit
Besos vs. Haruka Matsura for the Pacific Northwest Championship Kicking things off this week, two former Pacific Northwest Champions looking to bounce back after recently dropping the seemingly-cursed title. It's power vs. technique, as Anari Lynn Heyward's raw strength goes up against Sophia's pure submission game. Anna Bryant has had a rough time of it since going straight from the Academy to Showdown, and it's sounding likely that she's going to back off after Sky's the Limit, and step down to Proving Ground. But before that, she's going to take on the Cairo Cyclone... and that, without a doubt, might be one of the toughest matches Anna's had yet. We're looking at a match that could very well be one of the wildest matches of the year so far. Three of the four wrestlers here are supremely talented high-flyers, but don't discount Kaelara's presence here. The Sentarl sisters may be primed to take the tag division by storm here, but all we know for sure: this is going to be absolutely insane. Natasha Clover is good at one thing: rising back up through the ranks of the Pacific Northwest division, and recapturing the title she's held more times than anyone else in Phoenix Rising. But as time passes, the division only seems to get tougher... and Selisha is someone that's capable of standing in anyone's way. She'll make it tough for Natasha here. While Eri has done her best to stay out of direct conflict against her mother's faction, the same seemingly won't be said of her partner, Listalva. Queen Anne sets her sights on the Japanese veteran, Yuki Maeda, as she aims to raise her own stock in the Pacific Northwest division. But what does the future hold for the Heywards, now? We've seen this matchup more than once... Urani was the one who ended Lance's reign as World Champion, over two years ago, and since then, the two have quietly kept up a rivalry. Another chapter's going to be written here as two of the biggest in Phoenix Rising square off once more. This one's important, without a doubt. Pure Gold needs to prove themselves here as their record remains spotty, and they would love to give Shiana the advantage in her upcoming match against Angel at Sky's the Limit... but what do Les Beautes Blondes have planned for this match? Haruka Matsura will become the sixth Pacific Northwest Champion in a row to attempt to make their first defense of the title... the last five champions have failed to make that first defense, since Minoru Hoshino defeated Todd Colton and lost to Anari Lynn Heyward in his first defense. But Besos is perhaps the most dangerous opponent Haruka could possibly face here: she's well-known for being capable of wild upsets and picking up victories against any opponent she faces. Could the streak continue? In addition, there is a planned extra match for this show debuting not one, but two participants in the 50-state tournament taking place later this year. Rumor has it that the two will be the participants from Alaska and Connecticut squaring off.

Well, that's wrapped everything up for the big show... we are one week away from Sky's the Limit, and the card for that show will be posted tomorrow. We'll also hear what stipulation will be attached to the Shiana vs. Angel match on that show right here... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/658860475Youtube: youtu.be/kwmfgXtCefYQuick Results Sophia Moretti def. Anari Lynn Heyward Layla Al-Amin def. Anna Bryant Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa def. The Sentarl Sisters Selisha def. Natasha Clover Listalva Anne Heyward def. Yuki Maeda Lance Marshall def. Urani Whitemist Pure Gold def. Les Beautes Blondes, Shiana will decide the stipulation Haruka Matsura def. Besos to RETAIN the Pacific Northwest Championship (!!!!!!!) Mercedes Ortega def. Amanda Skye Write-ups Sophia Moretti continues to prove that despite losing the Pacific Northwest Championship, she's still very much a threat, handling every bit of power Anari could throw her way, and eventually finishing the big woman off with her Eternal Night submission, keeping the Italian well on track to keep rising back up the rankings. Try as she might, Anna Bryant just couldn't quite keep up with the Cairo Cyclone. Layla outpaced her in the end, and although Anna gave it a good effort, it seems she'll have to settle with a final loss on her way to Proving Ground. We got exactly what we expected from this match, seeing the three high-flyers do what they do best, and Kaelara Sentarl keeping pace with her opponents. But Avispa's offense eventually seemed to catch up with Eri, and a big diving Frankensteiner kept her down, giving Blake and Avispa the victory. Perhaps one of the best matches of the night, on a show that was full of great ones. Natasha simply refused to quit, dishing out brutal strikes whenever she had the chance, but Selisha was equally relentless, eventually catching Natasha in the Fangs of Fascination, forcing the Devil Hand to give in. The Queen is looking like she's back on track. Even put up against Yuki Maeda, Listalva didn't show a single hint of weakness, and although Yuki brought her dangerous Nagata Lock to bear, Lis didn't let her get away easy... a chickenwing suplex kept Yuki down for the three-count, and Queen Anne is looking strong. What more can you expect from these two? Two of Phoenix Rising's biggest and baddest going at it, ahead of a tag title match between the Wild West and the SFG... and Lance showed that no matter who the SFG fields, he may be able to carry himself and Cassandra to a colossal victory. Les Beautes Blondes said nothing about who they were sending to face Pure Gold this week... seemingly for good reason. Michelle Rochefort was the first to make her appearance... but joining her was a newcomer, one that nobody expected to see. Revon Beauregarde appears to now be the fourth member of LBB, and although they didn't pick up the win, he looked remarkably dangerous out there tonight, and only fell due to Pure Gold's overwhelming power. We're likely to see more of him in the near future... The curse, the streak, it's BROKEN. Haruka Matsura fears no curse, no reputation, and becomes the first person to defend the Pacific Northwest Championship successfully in months. Besos certainly gave it her all, though, and nearly had the win a few times... but a huge springboard rana pin from Haruka put this one to rest, and kept the title firmly around the ninja's waist... and gave the Malevolent Triad a hugely successful night, to boot. Closing out the night as an extra, we got two more participants in the upcoming 50-state tournament. Alaska's Amanda Skye faced off against Connecticut's Mercedes Ortega, and they went on a pure sprint, never letting the pace slip for even a moment. Amanda seemed to have this one well in hand through the first half of the match, but Mercedes came roaring back... and eventually landed a big-time Frog Splash to pick up a debut win. What will the stipulation be? Shiana Sentarl, flanked by Pure Gold (with Yuki Maeda icing her neck in the background), looks... smug. Smirking as she holds out her arms, glancing between Mallory and Kanjirin. "Just when it mattered the most, you two stepped up and did exactly what was needed. I'm proud of the two of you... finally living up to what you ought to be. So... I suppose it's high time I stopped holding out, then? You're all so curious to know what sort of match I've decided on for Sky's the Limit.
It's very simple. Angel... I'm going to beat you at your own game. I'm making our match a submission match. And when I've locked you up tight, with nowhere to run, I'll hear you say the one thing that will leave your pride in ruins. 'I give up'. That's all that needs to be said about it... in one week, you and me, a submission match... I'll be waiting eagerly for you, Angel." Eri Sentarl "I feel like it's always one step forward, one step back anymore. We get something going, then fall apart again. Something's gotta change, soon... I dunno what. But I'm getting a good idea right now... and when we come back after Sky's the Limit, you're gonna see exactly what the future holds. I promise you that. We're not gonna sit struggling at the bottom anymore. We're gonna rise up through the ranks and become the team everyone respects. Just you wait."

Well, here it is. The card for the biggest show of the year. Sky's the Limit is less than a week away, and we've got a LOT to get through. Argent vs. Tasharun
Victoria Fox and Kelly Wolfe vs. Adrenaline Rush
Academy Battle Royal: Jessica Kimblee vs. Nana Yoon vs. Angela Rothenberg vs. Josie Wilde vs. Heather Wild vs. Rei Hasegawa vs. Virginia Caldwell vs. Maria Marella
Veronika Armstrong vs. Strawberry Sookie for the Evergreen Championship
SATOMI vs. Reina del Tigre vs. Amber Wright for the Inspire Championship
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Todd Colton
The Excellent Blades vs. The Golden Ambush for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships
Victor Kintelas vs. Akira Ryusaki for the Top Prospect Championship
Shiana Sentarl vs. Angel Leblanc, Submission Match
Rachel White vs. Haruka Matsura for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Laenara Kintelas vs. The Black Dragon for the Phoenix Rising World Championship Yes, that's right, the demons are kicking off the show... Argent has been after this match for months, but only recently has it become real, with Argent and Tasharun both members of the Evergreen roster. This match, of course, will thus be held under Evergreen rules... and neither is likely to hold anything back. We've seen these two ladies in singles action over the last couple of weeks, and now we get a chance to see what Victoria Fox and Kelly Wolfe are like as a team. Their opponents: the seemingly-surging Adrenaline Rush. Although Nitro and Thunder may have lost their last match, they're still riding the high of a victory over the Limbtakers recently... but will that momentum carry into this match on the biggest stage? The Blackwood Academy, of course, will have some representation on the card: a massive 8-woman battle royal, contested under over-the-top rules (because this show's gonna be long enough without the hell that is the final three). The top-ranked members of the roster will set out to shake up the top of the rankings... though the #1 contender for July's show, Helena Lundgren, will rest easy knowing her place on that show is secured. This has been building for weeks, now: with challengers rising and falling, sometimes without challenging at all. Strawberry Sookie has had a stranglehold on the Evergreen Championship, and Veronika Armstrong just might be the one to finally break it... ending eMo's dominance over Evergreen once and for all. But this is not a match to be taken lightly... Sookie's slipped away from multiple challengers, but she's still incredibly dangerous in her own right. Three women will vie for Proving Ground's top women's prize... the Inspire Championship is on the line. SATOMI earned her place here by pinning Amber Wright in tag action some time ago, and Reina del Tigre won the contender's tournament outright... leaving Amber Wright in a tough position if she wants any hope of retaining her title. Facing down two former champions... this won't be easy. A pure grudge match, plain and simple. No special rules... no extra stipulations... nothing but two men looking to prove themselves against each other. Todd Colton has made it no secret that he believes himself a match for the entire World Championship division, but Firehawk Sentarl stands in his way, intent on showing Todd exactly why he's not "ready" for the big time... Perhaps one of the most dominant tag teams Proving Ground has witnessed since Pure Gold, the Golden Ambush have crushed every single challenger in their path. The Excellent Blades, however, have been surging as of late... and the raw power of Nicole Blade, and the pure technique of Donna Nobel, could finally lead to someone toppling the tigers. A potential match of the night as Victor Kintelas seeks his second reign as Top Prospect... but Akira Ryusaki has made it clear that he's no pushover as champion, and won't back down even against a man who's held gold before. Still, Victor has more than proven himself as one of Proving Ground's finest... Planned weeks ago, we finally learned the stipulation for this match last Showdown, as Shiana Sentarl declared the match to be a submission match after Pure Gold won the right to make the pick. But is Shiana going into this match overconfident in her own ability? Or will she prove herself superior to Angel once again? The Pacific Northwest Championship had been a hot potato for months... ever since Todd Colton lost the title to Minoru Hoshino, nobody was able to make a successful defense: until this week. Haruka Matsura finally broke that streak, and now, she'll aim to keep the title for a second defense, as Rachel White, having fought her way to the top the hard way, looks to take down the ninja and finally dispel her reputation once and for all. And finally... we witness what could be one of the biggest matches in Phoenix Rising history. Laenara Kintelas aims to end a reign that's lasted more than a year and a half... but to do that, she'll have to repeat something she managed last October, and defeat the Black Dragon one-on-one. If Laenara truly seeks to become the first new World Champion since 2018, she'll have to step up... find a new level. Because there is no doubt in anyone's mind: she's going in against truly overwhelming odds.
