Next show in line is back to Proving Ground. La Familia vs. The GOAT Silver Hawk vs. Hugo Dirksen Tommy Thunder vs. Avery Adonis Alexander Titania issues an open challenge The Limbtakers vs. The Golden Ambush (Tiger/Tigress) Nic Nitro vs. Gary Gear SATOMI vs. Nicole Blade Donna Nobel vs. Reina del Tigre for the Inspire ChampionshipThe show kicks off this week with the newest team around taking on one of the most established ones. Victor and Kellaron have both had their run-ins with Rey de la Carne in the past, but Chico con Carne is sure to add another facet to this match, certain to make it a very intriguing opener.
Silver Hawk's resurgence hasn't gone unnoticed... and the former Top Prospect, despite a slight stumble in failing to capture the title in the 3-way match some time ago, looks to be positioning himself for another run for the top. The Dutchman, Hugo Dirksen, however, will be out to remind everyone just how dangerous he can be.
Adrenaline Rush has a couple of matches this week: both against the Muscle Machines. Tommy Thunder will be taking on Avery Adonis Alexander, firstly... as Adrenaline Rush seeks to keep things moving along, hoping for a few more wins.
Titania appears to be growing tired of the competition placed in front of her: with there only being a handful of people who've gotten a win over the Blue Bomber, and even fewer she's yet to avenge the defeat, she's issued a challenge to anyone... anyone who thinks they've got what it takes to bring her down one-on-one. Rumor has it that the decision might have been made already... but Titania and management alike are keeping an eye out.
The Proving Ground Tag Team Champions face a tough one this week: the Golden Ambush, in the midst of a white-hot run as of late, could be setting themselves up to go after the tag titles to add to their collection. A win here would give them a shot at claiming those titles... but the Limbtakers won't give up the belts easily.
Nic Nitro faces perhaps the tougher test of the two this week: taking on Gary Gear one-on-one is a tough call for most, but Nitro's agility and skill could carry him over Gear, as long as he doesn't allow the big man to bring that dangerous offense to bear.
Nicole Blade doesn't find herself in a singles setting often, these days... but when she does, it's truly devastating. SATOMI might learn this first-hand this week, as the two clash... and with Blade perhaps setting her sights on bigger and better things, her future may perhaps depend on this week's main event.
Donna Nobel earned this shot by winning last week's battle royal... and now, she steps into the ring with Reina del Tigre for the biggest shot of her Proving Ground career. The Inspire Championship is on the line... and there's no telling who will walk away with the title after this one.

Hours before Proving Ground, "Gentleman" Doc Wyatt posted a video online.. Hello, and welcome fans of Phoenix Rising. My name is Doc Wyatt, and I'm the greatest wrestler you'll ever have the joy of watching. I'm hear before you to answer a challenge. What challenge is that? Well, let me read you a statement from none other than Lance Marshall...
Lance. Buddy. I'm so pleased that you've been following my career to the top. That tickles me. Because I've been following your career as well. The career that saw you winning titles all over the country- in AAW, in Phoenix Rising, CAWF- everywhere you went the dust settled with your hand raised, and a new belt around your waste. But then something happened. And one by one you lost those titles, and stopped getting your hand raised. It became so bleak that you couldnt even win the matches that would earn you that next title shot. And now? Now you're relegated to tag matches with your sisterlover carrying your broken ass to wins. You are pathetic. A has been that can't figure out that "standing tall without a title" is bitch talk from people that don't have the chops to win one. You really want a shot at me? You think because I lost my belt, I'm vulnerable? Are you really thinking, "maybe if I beat Doc Wyatt, Firehawk will let me lose to Black Dragon again"? You redneck hillbilly. Nah, you know what? Fuck it- you're on. But its on your turf. I want to stare into the eyes of each one of your fans after I beat you. I wanna see the hope and joy drain from their eyes. I'm going to kill the legend of Lance Marshall- once and for all. And when its over, maybe I'll see if that sis of yours is interested in a real man...

Proving Ground was a fast-paced show tonight... things just flew right by. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/513436123Youtube: youtu.be/nPNcigVIez4Quick Results The GOAT def. La Familia Silver Hawk def. Hugo Dirksen Avery Adonis Alexander def. Tommy Thunder Titania def. Princesa Torbellina The Golden Ambush def. The Limbtakers Gary Gear def. Nic Nitro SATOMI def. Nicole Blade Reina del Tigre def. Donna Nobel to retain the Inspire Championship Write-ups A very solid showing from one of Proving Ground's most enduring teams, with Kellaron Sentarl taking control and putting this one away as he so often has, with the crossface. Probably as dominant as Silver Hawk's ever looked. One hell of a showing for the former Top Prospect, who might be looking to take one more crack at the man who's walked away from the show he's meant to represent... Todd Colton may have a lot of challengers gunning for him soon. Adonis was his usual arrogant self here... and while Tommy Thunder managed to do some damage throughout the match, this one came to a close off of a Pinnacle Dropkick, and gave AAA a firm victory. It was Princesa Torbellina that answered the call... Titania once again finding herself pitted against a luchadora, much to her frustration. And while Torbellina gave this one her all, Titania was clearly in no mood to allow anything further... a thunderous Titanic Bomb putting this one away and ensuring Titania stays on target. The Limbtakers are no stranger to adversity... even as champions. But this match might've shown that their reign could be in serious trouble. The Golden Ambush was a devastating force tonight, with Golden Tiger in particular seeming to have something against Candace Monroe, targeting the young Australian even when she wasn't the legal partner. This might be part of the reason the Ambush was able to pick up the win after a frenzy of offense... Candace too slow to make the save. Gary Gear was a monster in this one, not showing any hesitation in throwing Nic Nitro around like a ragdoll. As much as Nitro tried to fight back, Gear was just too much tonight... and the Muscle Machines stood tall once again. SATOMI set out to do what her primary rival could not: take down Nicole Blade, the strongest woman in Proving Ground. And for a solid fifteen minutes, these two went to war, dishing out nearly everything in their arsenal against each other. One thing was clear, though... SATOMI could very well be the best Proving Ground has to offer, and it could only be a matter of time before one of two things happens: either she reclaims the Inspire Championship she lost, or she moves up to bigger and better competition. Either seems likely, at this point... Reina del Tigre faced quite the challenge from Donna Nobel... but one thing became clear, she was not going to relinquish the Inspire Championship here. A truly impressive performance from both sides, and the champion retains once again, staying on top and will likely remain there until at least New Year's Bash.

Showdown coming up this Monday, although that'll be on the heels of Saturday's Academy show, which I'll also try to get a card posted for later today. Academy stuff's been surprisingly tough lately 'cause I'm anticipating the new year so damn much. :P Elise Pichon vs. Haruka Matsura
Mascara Avispa vs. Telan Kintelas vs. Sophia Moretti vs. Listalva Anne Heyward
Angel Leblanc vs. Selisha
Todd Colton vs. Eri Sentarl
Lance Marshall vs. Kanjirin Tonorian
The Rising Storm vs. The SFG (Dragon/Urani)
Michelle Rochefort vs. Natasha Clover for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Laenara Kintelas vs. Shiana Sentarl The first shots fired between LBB and the Triad were a couple of episodes ago... and now, the Blondes are out for their revenge after a post-show attack by Oscuro's vicious trio. Elise Pichon will look to be the first to strike a blow as she takes on Haruka Matsura, but no doubt this one will be a tough one to call... The Pacific Northwest Championship rankings could get shaken up a bit with this 4-way match, with three wrestlers looking to raise their stock, while Avispa seeks to stay ahead of all of them. Telan stands to gain the most here, but anyone could get a boost with the right result... Angel Leblanc, leader of the Blondes, was quick to challenge Oscuro personally. Oscuro, however, waved her off... saying that she had more important matters to prepare for, namely her Pacific Northwest Championship match in two weeks. As a result, Angel will have to settle for Selisha instead... and this may in fact be the far more dangerous matchup for Angel. Todd Colton's Showdown debut was less than what he'd hoped for... a defeat at the hands of Telan Kintelas. Now he sets his sights on someone that his girlfriend Natasha is already quite familiar with: The Little Phoenix, Eri Sentarl. Does this mean that Todd's set his sights on the family as a whole? Lance Marshall has traded some words with Warrior Pro's Doc Wyatt over the past week or so, and now he's preparing for a major showdown to keep himself sharp ahead of what he presumes will be an eventual showdown with the brash Wyatt. Kanjirin Tonorian, however, is not someone to overlook... and the potential presence of Mallory Spaulding might skew this in their favor. The Black Dragon is back in action... and although it's a tag match, there's one thing that should be made clear. The SFG will, as before, be running as a trio... and that means that the Dragon now has another championship to her name. The Rising Storm, however, have always been a dangerous threat to any team they meet... and they'll be out to remind the most dangerous duo perhaps ever assembled that it doesn't matter how big or strong you might be: against the Rising Storm, you're never safe. Natasha Clover had some words for this matchup... and while many presume that Michelle is a strong contender to take the title from the brash Devil Hand, Natasha always seems to be a wildcard when it comes to the Pacific Northwest Championship. No doubt this title match could potentially steal the show... if not for... This match, being a rematch of the Grand Ascension finals, will almost assuredly be one hell of a ride. It's a clash between generations: a war between one of the most enduring stars for over twenty years, against the fastest-rising star in Phoenix Rising, perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime talent. Laenara Kintelas is absolutely determined to avenge her tournament loss... and if she can manage that, she'll be on her way to New Year's Bash in a 3-way match with Shiana and the Black Dragon for the World Championship. This could prove to be one of the most important matches of the year... and it could determine the very future of Phoenix Rising. Todd Colton "Phoenix Rising is suffering from something... buried deep. It's subtle, but a lot of people are picking up on it, slowly but surely. You might've figured it out yourself, by now. But let me open your eyes: Phoenix Rising's biggest problem is this thing with dynasties. Families controlling the whole mess. The Sentarls, the Kintelas, both of 'em with this huge stranglehold on everything no matter who really holds the titles, no matter who's really on top... look who's always there. So it's about damn time someone stepped up to break that hold. And if that means I gotta start with Daddy's Girl, you better fuckin' believe I'm going to do just that. Natasha already laid Eri out once... so let me go ahead and aim to finish the job. Taking pride in the idea that you don't tap out to anyone... I got news for you, kid, that just means you're too stupid to realize when you're beaten, and when I've got your arm holding together by a thread, when I've finished what I came to do, I'm gonna send you crying all the way back to your girl Heyward's bed.
Funny thing is, at this point, I'm pretty damn sure I could say anything like that... and people would still be behind me as the next big star. I'm fucking untouchable, now... and I'll be even further up the chain once I've wiped out poor little Eri." Natasha Clover "All this talk about 'Michelle this, Michelle that', how many times do I have to say it? I step into that ring and there is no one... NO ONE that's gonna find a free win off me. These arms, the power I've got, the way I can knock your ass out in about thirty different ways... I'm the Pacific Northwest Champion. I will defend this title for as long as it takes for you people to show the GODDAMN respect I'm due.
I'll send Michelle back to the rest of her blonde French bitch friends, empty-handed, so they can get their asses beat by the big scary Triad. And make no mistake, Oscuro, I know you're next in line, and I'll beat your ass senseless too.
This title's mine... and nobody's taking it away from me without the fight of their lives." Laenara Kintelas "Part of me wonders if this is actually gonna happen. That I'm getting the match I was after, the shot I was aiming to earn. A shot at avenging a loss that I don't think I should've let happen. And the way I see it, there's two reasons I can think of for why I'm getting it. Either 1. Shiana really is that nice of a woman, and wants to see what I'm made of... or 2. She's expecting an easy time of it, an easy win just like the Grand Ascension.
See, I'd hope, deep down, that the first option is the real one. That Shiana Sentarl really is that nice of a woman deep down and that she's just this absolute... y'know, mom to the whole roster.
But nobody's really like that. Not in the real world. So it leads me to believe that Option 2 is the one that's really the truth. That she's looking past me, that she thinks I'm an easy mark, a warm-up on her path to the top one last time. So lemme remind you, Shiana, of who I am. I'm the woman that was the first-ever Phoenix Rising Women's Champion, against every single person's expectations. I'm a two-time Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champion. I've beaten the Dragon, I stormed through the Grand Ascension just for the chance to face you in the final, something I fucking earned with every drop of sweat. I'm the single fastest-rising star around here, without a doubt in anyone's mind.
And I'm not going to be overlooked. I'm not going to be seen as an easy win... because I'm not. You are gonna have to fight like hell to survive, Shiana, because no matter what: I'm winning this match. I'm going to New Year's Bash. I'm going to beat both you and Dragon and I WILL close out 2019 as Phoenix Rising World Champion. You've carried the title of 'Queen' for a long time... but it's about time you stepped down from your throne and let the new generation take over. Because your time's up."

Doc Wyatt took to social media today to comment on a specific match on tonight's Showdown card... While its hard to confirm, it does appear that "Masshole" Tommy O'Malley is in fact the wrestler dressed to look like Lance Marshall in that photo...

There was a slight change to the card tonight, but it certainly proved to be one hell of a show, with the added match. Truly one of the more intense Showdowns we've ever had. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/516430687Youtube: youtu.be/NnrsMztiisEQuick Results Elise Pichon def. Haruka Matsura Telan Kintelas won the 4-way Angel Leblanc def. Selisha Todd Colton def. Eri Sentarl Besos def. Kileas Kintelas Lance Marshall def. Kanjirin Tonorian The SFG def. The Rising Storm Natasha Clover def. Michelle Rochefort to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Laenara Kintelas def. Shiana Sentarl to earn her place in the New Year's Bash main event Write-ups Elise Pichon, in a rare singles appearance here in Phoenix Rising, showed no signs of fear or rust against Haruka, seemingly dominating this match and striking the first blow of vengeance against the Malevolent Triad. As strong as Sophia Moretti looked, this was Telan's match in the end... Listalva made an early exit thanks to Sophia's Eternal Night submission, but the Italian fell victim to a torture rack from Telan, who then promptly crushed Avispa with a diving splash to come out the biggest winner of the night. It took Angel some time to find her footing here, but once she began trading submissions with Selisha, she really hit her stride... but it was a vicious driver followed by a quick Chancery that finished this one and struck another blow against the Triad... Oscuro will certainly be seething over this one, and already has her plans for next Showdown set, while she challenges for the Pacific Northwest Championship. Eri's struggles continue, as she failed to put Todd away... falling victim to his dangerous submissions before a Destroyer laid the Little Phoenix out, Todd picking up a much-needed win, his first on Showdown. A match that wasn't originally scheduled, but was added due to an oversight not seeing Kileas getting booked... and now he's perhaps wishing he had stayed in the back. Besos stepped up in a big way here, and finished this one as only she can: with that glorious signature BESOS. Kileas probably won't forget this one anytime soon. This took a hell of a lot more effort than anyone might've expected... with Kanjirin kicking out of multiple Demonkillers, a bloodied Lance struggled to put this match away, but put it away he did in the end, a final resounding Demonkiller finally scoring the three-count. Once again, the most decorated team in Phoenix Rising showed exactly why they're still so dangerous... even against the devastating pair that is Urani and Dragon, they held their own clear up until the end, where Dragon's facelock finally picked up the win. Still, it doesn't seem like this one's over yet... Elise and Todd both made their presence felt in this match, but it was Todd's presence that seemingly was the deciding factor. With a couple of chairs shoved into the ring, Natasha landed a brutal series of strikes that sent Michelle crashing onto the pile, and once again defended her Pacific Northwest Championship... now on a collision course with Fenix Oscuro, how long can Natasha keep it up? Laenara Kintelas had been waiting for this moment... a second chance at taking down the Queen of Phoenix Rising, a chance to get back into the New Year's Bash main event. And despite Shiana breaking out everything she had, it still wasn't enough to stop the momentum of the fastest-rising star Phoenix Rising has perhaps ever witnessed. A Dodon dead-center put this one away, and we have a 3-way match at New Year's Bash: Laenara vs. Shiana vs. Dragon, with the World Championship on the line. Laenara Kintelas "Here's the deal: I backed up everything I said. I showed beyond the shadow of a doubt that I belong in that match, I belong at the top, and there is nobody that's gonna stand in my way. Not you, not Dragon, not even Urani's gonna stop me now. I'm closing out this year as the World Champion. And I make no apology for it.
Tonight I proved that I absolutely had everything I needed to beat you the first time... but I let my nerves, my exhaustion, all get to me. I let my spirit waver at the worst possible moment. But tonight... you met me at my best. And from what I saw out there... I saw you at yours. So on my best night, I'm better than you, no matter what happens.
I've got all the respect in the world for you, Shiana... but I stand by what I said. It's my time to step up, now." Lance Marshall "Doc Wyatt's probably gonna have a few more words after tonight... but if it's gonna be more childish shots like the one he threw out there earlier today, he might as well keep his damn mouth shut. I know it's a damn tough thing for him to do... but I'm gonna be damn clear. It don't matter how good you think you are. How much of a lead ya' might think ya' got. I will keep comin' at ya' clear to the fuckin' end... I ain't done until I damn well say I'm done. And if ya' ever want that little picture of yours t' be the real deal... ya' better be ready to take on someone who's damn sure a hell of a lot tougher than some random drunk ya' picked off some Boston street." Shiana Sentarl Interviewers attempted to catch up with Shiana, but she said nothing on her way out of the arena... and her expression was difficult to read, as well. It's unclear what's going through her mind... but perhaps we'll learn more as we get closer to New Year's Bash.

Only just getting around to posting this but we've got Evergreen tomorrow. Also coming up: I've got a trip out of town this weekend, it shouldn't affect anything on Monday but we'll see what happens. Anyway, Evergreen: El Evergringo vs. SkidmarkEternamente Verde vs. Penelope LeaKevin Royce vs. Concrete PeteThe Phantom Thief vs. TasharunElly Blackwood vs. Rachel WhiteKantar vs. Brayden Sutton for the PWR Multiverse ChampionshipThe Sheridan Brothers vs. eMo (Sookie/Eddy)El Evergringo remains one of Evergreen's most popular stars, though it's certainly been a rough stretch for him as of late... it's not going to get any easier this week against Skidmark, but we've seen Evergringo come back against tougher odds before. Evergringo's partner, Eternamente Verde, has her own target: Penelope Lea, aiming to strike against eMo who have slowly become one of the most surprisingly dominant groups in Evergreen despite the unusual penchant for getting wiped out. Verde, however, will certainly be determined to win this one in order to climb her way back towards the Evergreen Championship. Kevin Royce has been an absolute nightmare for the Evergreen roster for the last few weeks, destroying nearly everyone that crosses his path, including two of the single most frightening forces that Evergreen's ever seen in the Demons. Now Concrete Pete tries to do what only two people have managed since Royce's return: defeat the founder of the company. (Elly Blackwood and X-Kira, incidentally, if you were wondering... and the latter did so in a 3-way!) This was inevitable. The Phantom Thief's sudden appearance in Evergreen, along with Tasharun's arrival to back up Kantar, meant this matchup was bound to return sooner or later... and here it is, with the Thief preparing to once again square off with the Demon that he's had his sights on almost since the day he arrived in Phoenix Rising. This one comes as a bit of a surprise: with Rachel White not making many appearances in Phoenix Rising as of late, some believed she might be withdrawing entirely... but she's made it very clear that she's not stepping away, and indeed she's coming to Evergreen to take on an undefeated force of nature in Elly Blackwood. This is almost certainly incredibly ill-advised. Set up for months but finally happening, the PWR Multiverse Championship makes an appearance outside of its home fed, as Kantar squares off with the new champion, Brayden Sutton. A clash of powerhouses, no doubt one that'll be a brutal affair. We close with eMo aiming to continue their incredible run... a match that could very well lead to a shot at the Evergreen Tag Team Championships, as Strawberry Sookie and Eddy Introspect square off with the Sheridan Brothers. This one's gonna be wild... as Evergreen tag matches always are. Because of the aforementioned out of town trip, I'm gonna go ahead and post the Proving Ground card for the following Monday as well... Adrenaline Rush vs. The Excellent Blades
Allison Avery vs. Anari Lynn Heyward
SATOMI vs. La Relampaga
Kyle Anderson vs. Silver Hawk
La Familia vs. The Muscle Machines
Layla Al-Amin vs. Fresh Suzuki
Titania vs. Jennifer Phoenix
Hugo Dirksen vs. Akira Ryusaki Adrenaline Rush kicks things off once again, taking on one of the most consistently dangerous teams in Phoenix Rising in the Excellent Blades. Fresh off a disappointing loss, Donna Nobel will look to bounce back alongside her partner as they seek to once again put themselves in the conversation to challenge the Proving Ground Tag Team Champions... though whether it'll be the Limbtakers or the Golden Ambush when the time comes is unclear so far. Two women often finding themselves perhaps lost in the shuffle: Allison Avery and Anari Lynn Heyward both have a reputation for being incredible powerhouses, and while they won't be in the mix for the Inspire Championship, they'll certainly be out to remind everyone just how good they are. The same can be said of SATOMI and La Relampaga, although they're consistently finding themselves on the card... SATOMI will be looking to keep her momentum hot as she continues to lock her sights on reclaiming her Inspire Championship, which could easily happen in 2020... Both the Inspire and Top Prospect Champions need a challenger for New Year's Bash, and it starts right here. Kyle Anderson and Silver Hawk are the first two vying for the shot at Todd Colton... and both are determined to be the one that dethrones the brash loudmouth. The Muscle Machines have a new team to square off against... although both Gear and AAA are familiar with one-half of this duo. La Familia, Rey de la Carne and Chico Con Carne, will certainly make life difficult for the Machines here. Layla Al-Amin faces off with Fresh Suzuki as both set their sights on the Inspire Championship... both high-flying, dynamic stars, and with Layla being a former champion already, the Cairo Cyclone will seek to get back to the top... but Fresh Suzuki has been a mainstay for quite some time, now, and could stun Layla with a major upset. Jennifer Phoenix, making a surprise appearance after being away for quite some time, might wish she hadn't come back to Proving Ground after this one. Titania is bound and determined to get her shot at the Inspire Championship, and she might very well crush Phoenix along the way... The main event sees Akira Ryusaki taking on Hugo Dirksen: two men fully capable of putting on the match of the night as they, too, seek to become #1 contenders for the Top Prospect Championship. It could be Akira's moment of truth: can he earn his way to the top?

Evergreen comes and goes, as fast as it always does. You know how it is. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/517707091Youtube: youtu.be/TRU-JYclphsQuick Results El Evergringo def. Skidmark Penelope Lea def. Eternamente Verde Kevin Royce def. Concrete Pete Tasharun def. The Phantom Thief Elly Blackwood def. Rachel White Brayden Sutton def. Kantar to retain his title eMo def. The Sheridan Brothers Write-ups El Evergringo continues to quietly be one of Evergreen's top talents, to the surprise of many. Despite plenty of mishaps in this match, he eventually managed to handle Skidmark and picked up a substantial victory. Penelope Lea just keeps eMo's run of pure dominance rolling, with another strong victory over Eternamente Verde. A vicious kick to the skull put Verde down, and in the absence of Luci, eMo just keeps rolling along... Concrete Pete came potentially the closest to taking down Kevin Royce, but the former boss eventually overpowered the big man, and continued his red-hot momentum... since returning to Evergreen after his "exile", Royce has been nigh-unstoppable save for Elly Blackwood's victory over him. Just like old times... the Thief wasn't prepared for this one, and Tasharun delivered two Demon's Wrath kicks en route to an absolutely destructive victory. Rachel didn't simply roll over, to the surprise of the crowd in attendance... delivering a few of her signature crushing kicks and briefly rattling Elly. But a pair of vicious brainbusters turned things right back in Elly's favor, and she remains undefeated in her Evergreen career. Sutton came, defended his title, and did so in shockingly dominant fashion, not letting Kantar gain a foothold in this one. No doubt the demon will be looking for a measure of vengeance in the near future for this one... Could eMo flat-out control Evergreen solely for themselves? Another strong victory as they divide and conquer against the Sheridans... while Eddy fought with Zack on the outside, Sookie laid out Vincent in the ring and picked up the win, keeping eMo on a white-hot streak. See everyone on Monday for Proving Ground. Weekend's probably gonna be pretty quiet.

Another week, another Proving Ground, and only a grand total of six shows under the Phoenix Rising banner left (even if three of those are Academy/Evergreen, shhhhhh) Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/519512321Youtube: youtu.be/BzgkZanZ6lIQuick Results Adrenaline Rush def. Excellent Blades Allison Avery def. Anari Lynn Heyward La Relampaga def. SATOMI Kyle Anderson def. Silver Hawk Muscle Machines def. La Familia Layla Al-Amin def. Fresh Suzuki Titania def. Jennifer Phoenix Hugo Dirksen def. Akira Ryusaki Write-ups One hell of a wild tag opener that saw Adrenaline Rush finally put the pieces together: while Nicole Blade was distracted, a powerslam from Tommy Thunder put this one away and gave them the victory. Both of these women haven't been around much on Proving Ground lately, but Allison certainly hasn't lost a step... and to be fair, neither has Anari. But the Lariat Queen of Little Rock lived up to her reputation, dishing out vicious lariats throughout the match en route to a major victory. La Relampaga was another woman who lived up to her reputation tonight: the Lightning Luchadora was absolutely a dynamo here in scoring a major upset over SATOMI, and perhaps might have her sights set even higher despite not being in the mix for the Inspire Championship. Kyle Anderson once again seeks to keep things rolling along, managing to pick up a solid victory over Silver Hawk after tossing him around the ring for most of the match. Hawk didn't back down, but a Croyt's Wrath ensured Kyle will be looking for his shot at the Top Prospect in two weeks. The Muscle Machines have found themselves quite familiar with Rey de la Carne, but this was their first match involving Chico... still, the bulk of their ire was definitely directed towards Rey, and Gear put him away with a vicious lariat. The Cairo Cyclone came roaring out of the gate early, but Fresh steadily battled her way back into this match... superkicks rained down, and the pace never seemed to slow clear up until Layla nailed a huge Tornado DDT to pick up the win. Titania was not going to be denied by a masked high-flyer... not with so much at stake. She was absolutely destructive here, and despite a late surge from Phoenix with a Northern Lights Bomb, Titania eventually caught her with an Iron Claw and set herself up to face Layla Al-Amin in two weeks... with a match against Reina del Tigre hanging in the balance. Hugo Dirksen had absolutely no time for messing around tonight. With the right to face Kyle for the #1 contender spot on the line, he tore into Akira, and despite a strong showing, a Cattle Mutilation absolutely shut Akira down, forcing an instant submission and lining up Kyle Anderson vs. Hugo Dirksen, for the right to face Todd Colton for the title at New Year's Bash... Lance Marshall spoke up after this show, having returned to Phoenix Rising's HQ over the weekend, with some interesting words for one Doc Wyatt... and some footage from a match that took place over the weekend as well.
"I could damn well let that footage speak for itself. But let me just remind ya' one more time. Over the past couple of weeks I have faced some of the toughest fights I've had in a damn while... Kanjirin turned me into a bloody mess and made things a whole hell of a lot tougher than they needed to be, but I still stood tall at the end. And then... there's Crusher Honda. Some would say she's the toughest, strongest, most dangerous in the damn world. Me, I'd say she's damn good... but again, ya' only need to look at what ya' see in that clip to know what I really think. I fought back from a deficit against Kanjirin to get the job done. I took Crusher Honda down, no questions asked.
So tell me again, Doc... what are you thinkin' is gonna happen at New Year's Bash, when you and I stare each other down from across the ring? Nothin' between us, nothin' to stand in our way... Just you and me, settlin' this once and for all.
I'll tell ya' one thing... you're no Kanjirin Tonorian. You ain't no Crusher Honda. And you sure as hell ain't no Lance Marshall."

The final Showdown of 2019 has nothing left to prove, nothing left to decide: save the Pacific Northwest Championship on the line in the main event, of course, which will determine whether we see the title defended at New Year's Bash. Todd Colton vs. BesosMarkos Andreas vs. Blake DynamiteEri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward vs. The Rising StormYuki Maeda vs. Rachel WhiteAlexandria Kirison vs. Rilantha De NavLance Marshall vs. ArgentLaenara Kintelas and Urani Whitemist vs. Shiana Sentarl and the Black DragonFenix Oscuro vs. Natasha Clover for the Pacific Northwest ChampionshipTodd Colton kicks things off for the night as he takes on Besos, fresh off of a massive upset victory over Kileas Kintelas last Showdown. With that win under her belt, can Todd do what one of Phoenix Rising's most enduring veterans couldn't?
Markos Andreas perhaps hasn't quite gotten a chance to show his stuff as much as he'd like... but here against Blake Dynamite, he'll definitely get an opportunity. Still, taking on perhaps Phoenix Rising's greatest junior is no easy task... the threat of both the Dynamite Cutter and the devastating LOTATION always hang over every match with Blake.
The Rising Storm held their own against the reigning tag team champions last week... and though they came up short, it showed that this is going to be an uphill battle for Eri and Listalva. Still, there's no doubt in anyone's mind that this could be one of the best matches of the night...
Rachel White, coming off of a surprising appearance in Evergreen, returns home to Showdown to take on a dangerous veteran in Yuki Maeda. Rachel's record is less than sparkling, and it's been a struggle for the Detroit native... but a win here could signal a turnaround and a new beginning for 2020.
This speaks for itself. Two of the best in the business, Alexandria and Rilantha, doing what they do best: this one's just going to be a pure fight to the finish.
Lance Marshall has one more match to get through before his faceoff with Doc Wyatt at New Year's Bash... and it's the surprising appearance of Argent, who typically makes his home on Proving Ground. It's a clash of powerhouses, set to collide in a vicious brawl.
Laenara Kintelas will not be denied... she's said it more than a few times by now, and here she finds herself across the ring from the two women she's set to face at New Year's Bash, with the only partner she could ever trust with such an important task. Can Shiana and the Dragon work together for the first time in years? Or will Lae walk away with yet another accolade over her opponents?
Fenix Oscuro is the next in line for the Pacific Northwest Championship... and while she stares down Natasha Clover, there's a firm knowledge hanging over this match: if Oscuro wins, the championship will not be defended at the big event, as Oscuro is already part of the trios match against Les Beautes Blondes. Natasha, however, is far from ready to give up her championship... and Cassandra Marshall would also prefer to get her shot on the big stage, leading to the odd situation of cheering for Natasha... so she can beat her in two weeks.

That's Showdown for the year. Only four shows left in the year: one each of Proving Ground, the Academy, and Evergreen, and the big finale. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/522603621Youtube: Quick Results Todd Colton def. Besos Blake Dynamite def. Markos Andreas The Rising Storm def. Eri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward Yuki Maeda def. Rachel White Rilantha De Nav def. Alexandria Kirison Lance Marshall def. Argent Laenara Kintelas and Urani Whitemist def. Shiana Sentarl and the Black Dragon Natasha Clover def. Fenix Oscuro to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Write-ups Todd Colton: Heartbreaker? Despite Besos giving this one all she had complete with no less than three instances of BESOS (much to Natasha Clover's unending frustration), Todd simply wouldn't quit... and after a white-hot opener, a Destroyer finally put this one away and kept Todd running strong. Never count Blake Dynamite out of a match. Markos Andreas had this one well in hand for the first half, but then Blake slowly began to crawl his way back into the fight... and eventually, forced the match back into his favor and picked up the huge comeback win. A new look, a new Rising Storm... and still the same devastating team that they've always been, steadily picking Eri and Listalva apart before Anahera took advantage of a perfectly-timed moment to score the pinfall on Eri. The Little Phoenix continues to struggle since losing the Pacific Northwest Championship to Natasha... will 2020 be a new beginning for her? Easily the biggest squash of the night, to nobody's surprise. Yuki Maeda absolutely crushed Rachel White here, destroying her far faster than even Evergreen's juggernaut, Elly Blackwood, could manage. With Yuki now waiting patiently in the wings for her shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship, can anyone stop her from claiming that title? The Lion of Phoenix Rising just seems to keep getting better. While Alex was strong in this one, answering an O'Connor German with a vicious German of her own into the turnbuckle, Ril simply wouldn't be denied, a sharp Complete Shot taking the Greek down. A rare appearance from Argent, even more unusual by not being on Proving Ground... and he actually gave this one quite the fight, before Lance was able to put him down with a crushing lariat to stay hot ahead of his match with Doc Wyatt. This is exactly the outcome Laenara Kintelas wanted. Not only did she once again prove she's more than capable of beating Shiana Sentarl, she held her own against the Dragon once more... in two weeks, she finally gets her shot at the World Championship. And after this huge victory, could she take home the gold to close out the year? While this was only Natasha's third defense of the Pacific Northwest Championship, she's absolutely made the title her own since winning it, and that was very clear tonight as she absolutely dismantled the dangerous Fenix Oscuro. A Fenixplex was the only true major offense Oscuro was able to mount, and Natasha put her down with a series of brutal elbows, ensuring that the title WILL be defended at New Year's Bash... against Cassandra Marshall. Natasha Clover "Oscuro makes her whole damn career on people being afraid, intimidated. Lemme make one thing real clear to you, though: I'm the Pacific Northwest Champion. I'm the fucking Devil Hand. I'm not afraid of ANYONE. So Cassandra Marshall, you wanna take your shot next, you're gonna be Victim #4 on my list. I'm going to keep holding this title into 2020. I'm going to keep defending it against anyone and everyone that comes my way. Nobody... and I mean NOBODY has what it takes anymore. Certainly not you, cowgirl..." Laenara Kintelas "In two weeks, we finally figure this out. We finally get to see who's gonna be World Champion for the new year. Is it gonna be Dragon, shooting for a second year as champion? Is it gonna be the veteran, Shiana, fighting for one last run at the top? Or is it gonna be the fastest-rising star in Phoenix Rising, the white-hot, the undisputed BEST THERE IS RIGHT NOW, Laenara Kintelas? I have spent the last couple of months since I came back tearing up this entire company, shaking its foundation, putting the older generation on notice. I'm not going to accept anything less than complete victory at New Year's Bash. I won't rest until I'm the one standing tall at the end of the night. I will be World Champion... so consider everything up to this point as a preview. I've forced Dragon to tap out. I've beaten Shiana at almost every turn since the Grand Ascension. I took the best Shiana and Dragon both had to throw at me tonight, and I stood back up to KEEP GOING. I am the future of Phoenix Rising, without a doubt.
All that's left is to show the world I'm not bluffing even one little bit." Lance Marshall "There's gotta be two schools of thought, considerin' all of this. There's the way I'm doin' things... keepin' myself busy. Fightin' every chance I get against competition that ain't what I'd call easy by any stretch. Do I consider myself better than the guys I've squared up with? Course I do, thinkin' otherwise don't make any sense. Am I lookin' past a single one of 'em? Not in the slightest. Every single opponent I've had since we set up this deal with Doc Wyatt has been tough as nails, and tonight wasn't any different.
Now, see, the other school is what I'm presumin' Doc's followin'. Rest up. Take it easy. Make sure he's good and ready when the day arrives. And I ain't gonna look down on ya' for not havin' any matches lately. Maybe it's the right call for ya', maybe not. Don't matter much.
There ain't nothin' left, now. Two weeks from now, there ain't any more words to say, no preparin' left to be done. We step into that ring, and we settle this thing, once and for all.
So no matter what your gameplan is... ya' damn well better have it ready by then."

Doc Wyatt posted a promo on WPW.com in response to post show comments from the last two Phoenix Rising shows… I have to say, this is getting a little awkward. I’m honestly uncomfortable with how much you need me to see that you won a match. “Look Mister Wyatt, I beat Crusher Honda! Now I beat Kanjorin Whateverhisnameis! Did you see it? Did you? Now I beat someone else- did you see how good I did?” Congratulations big guy, you want a hug? A pat on the back? For doing your job? What is with these promotions and their milk toast buffoons? Lance Marshall, John Logan, Cowyboy Johnston. One after the other, trying to smash their way to glory. And one after the other having to look up at my hand being raised, because they don’t understand a fundamental truth.
You are not special Lance Marshall- but I am.
You can keep beating whoever you want before we face off in 2 weeks. You can point out that I haven’t had a match because the fact is I don’t need a match. You had it right- I’m not Crusher Honda. I’m not Lance Marshall. And I’m not Black Dragon, or Kerry Texan, or Lil Lariato, or Machine Gun Mayhem. I’m Doc fucking Wyatt, and at New Year’s Bash you’re going to learn the same lesson I've been teaching for the past year: I’m the best wrestler in the world today. So rest up Lance. Get your affairs in order, maybe kiss that sister of yours long and hard. In two weeks? Buddy I’m writing a new chapter to your career- and you're not going to enjoy the ending…

Elise Pichon on recent events.
Excellent...Une bonne fin d'année
The Malevolent Triad are such underhanded lessers. Assault us?...To what end?
I took great pride...fierté in deadlifting a victory out of Haruka, such an inferior opponent when the odds are even. Leblanc dispatched of that freak of a snake too, what a let down this triad is. You will not make a name off of us. We are not some damn catapult up the division.
A new year is almost upon us. A new decade, a better Les Beautes Blondes... And a new me. A better me.

The final Evergreen show of 2019 will see one final matter attended to: who's going to be the one that challenges Strawberry Sookie for the Evergreen Championship? A 6-man battle royal will decide that... but of course, that won't be all. Thursday, December 19, sees this big finale for Evergreen's year. Vincent Sheridan vs. Zack Sheridan
Kevin Royce vs. Rampage Rage
Elly Blackwood vs. Opaque (PEWA)
Sayaka Saito vs. El Evergringo
The Demons vs. The Phantom Thief and Julian Shepard
Eternamente Verde vs. Rebecca Andrews
#1 Contender's Battle Royal: Ash Defiant vs. Babe Ruthless vs. Veronika Armstrong vs. Mercy Devine vs. Concrete Pete vs. Skidmark The Sheridan Brothers have had a... less-than-successful tag team run in Evergreen, and perhaps tensions between the two are at an all-time high... this match will either relieve that tension, or make matters even worse. Kevin Royce welcomes back one-half of the Bingo Hall Mutants, and will certainly do so in the fashion that he always does... with vicious, violent intention. Still, Rampage was one-half of the single most dominant champions Evergreen's likely to witness... and he'll be no easy task for the former Evergreen boss. Elly Blackwood seeks to continue her undefeated Evergreen streak against an outsider: this match was originally meant to go to Argent, making the jump to Evergreen, but since his match with Lance on Monday night, he appears to have gone dark. In his place, the PEWA's Opaque makes a surprise appearance... and may have a daunting task ahead of her. Sayaka Saito is looking to close out the year on a high note after a rough patch for her trio. El Evergringo, meanwhile, will be looking for the same thing... El Verde might not have seen the tag titles for themselves, but they can call this year a success by some stretch thanks to Verde's Evergreen Championship reign. The Evergreen tag champs warm up for their New Year's Bash showdown by taking on an unlikely duo... with the Phantom Thief looking to bounce back from a crushing defeat at the hands of Tasharun, he's enlisted Julian Shepard to try and get back a victory. But the Demons will make that difficult... no doubt the champions will keep their momentum hot ahead of a challenge from eMo, Eddy Introspect and Penelope Lea. The other half of El Verde takes on another third of the Oakland metal trio. Chicago's Rebecca Andrews will try to score a major victory over a former champion, while Verde has her sights set on getting back to the top... and will go through Rebecca to do it without hesitation. Six men and women step through the ropes to be the one to challenge Evergreen Champion, Strawberry Sookie, at New Year's Bash. There's simply no telling who might stand tall at the end of this one... but this could be the moment Concrete Pete or Skidmark have been waiting for, the big men looking to finally make a big statement.

Evergreen has wrapped up for the year... we have our challenger for the Evergreen Championship, and the New Year's Bash card continues to take shape. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/523870911Youtube: youtu.be/e0YRMqTeMAsQuick Results Zack Sheridan def. Vincent Sheridan Rampage Rage def. Kevin Royce Elly Blackwood def. Opaque El Evergringo def. Sayaka Saito The Phantom Thief and Julian Shepard def. The Demons Eternamente Verde def. Rebecca Andrews Concrete Pete won the battle royal to become #1 Contender for the Evergreen Championship Write-ups If there was ever any doubt about who the better "wrestler" between these two is, that was instantly dispelled tonight... and perhaps Zack Sheridan has one hell of a mean streak to boot, even where his brother is concerned. A number of elbows from Vincent, answered by Zack's brutal submission that forced an instant tapout... there's no telling how much we'll see of Vincent as the new year begins. This may be the sign of just how devastating Kantar's run through PEWA truly was. Kevin Royce was vicious in this match, but Rampage Rage was just the better man here, handing Royce his first defeat in some time. Who would've guessed that the last-minute replacement would prove to be one of Elly Blackwood's toughest tests to date? Opaque made life difficult for Elly the entire way, and it wasn't until Elly finally landed a brainbuster that she managed to put this one away, and remained undefeated in Evergreen. Have we ever seen El Evergringo this focused and dominant before? He absolutely picked Sayaka apart, and a crushing Kokeshi finished the job, giving him one of the biggest wins he's ever had. Last Evergreen, we saw a Phantom Thief who showed up unprepared for Tasharun one-on-one. This week, we saw what happens when he shows up ready for a fight... and alongside Julian Shepard, they actually scored a major victory over the tag team champions. The Thief and Julian will surely be getting a shot at the tag titles in the new year... regardless of who might hold them. Just when things looked bad for Verde, the former Evergreen Champion came roaring back and made sure Rebecca felt it. A wild spinning backbreaker put Verde right back on top, and stuffed Rebecca's attempt to topple a former champion in the ring. Concrete Pete has never looked better in the ring than he did here. An absolutely monstrous performance from the big man saw him eliminate all but Mercy Devine, and set him up with a clash against Strawberry Sookie at New Year's Bash... with the Evergreen Championship on the line. I'll post a Proving Ground card tomorrow. That'll be the last main show of the year... after that, it's the Academy live show, and finally, New Year's Bash. Been a long week, might add some extra stuff in later.
