So, normally by now you'd see the results from Night 5 of the Grand Ascension, which was scheduled for tonight. That did not end up happening... well, it did, for two and a half matches, and then the fucking power went out for two hours.
With that, I'm having to reschedule for tomorrow (Tuesday) night at the usual 7:30 start time, or whenever I can fit it in, anyway. Situations like this make me physically sick, if I'm being honest, because I've honestly taken great pride in how consistent I've been able to be for the past two years doing this... but, that said, I probably shouldn't feel too bad about it considering it took something legitimately out of my control to break that streak.
No doubt, though, that as long as I'm physically capable of running these shows, I'm gonna keep doing them for as long as I can stand it.

Technically, you still aired a show in the proper time slot, it just got interrupted partway through, so I'd count the streak as still being intact.

I can confirm the Jackson Hole Outlaws had nothing to do with the power going out.... probably...

All right, we got through it this time. Let's hope that's the last time I have to run on a weird night because boy it feels weird going on a Tuesday. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/498328390Youtube: youtu.be/ndGG6YV5yNAQuick Results Layla Al-Amin def. Urani Whitemist Lance Marshall def. Todd Colton Chico Con Carne def. Firehawk Sentarl The Black Dragon def. Mercy Devine Shiana Sentarl def. Kantar Anahera def. Rumika Hashi Blake Dynamite def. Angel Leblanc Laenara Kintelas def. Kileas Kintelas Write-ups Layla Al-Amin just doesn't back down. In what's probably her single greatest upset, she weathered Urani's vicious offense to make one of the biggest comebacks of the tournament, and pulled off one of the greatest wins of her career. As good as Todd Colton is, Lance Marshall just wasn't about to give this one up... the Stampede, a move we've seen little of as of late, was out in force tonight as Lance picked up a huge win. With Firehawk looking strong throughout the entire tournament, only stumbling against Kantar, it seemed like this match would be his to lose... and lose it he did as Chico made a comeback, turned up the pressure and finished this one in style with a huge 450 Splash to pick up the win... and potentially play spoiler for Firehawk's tournament hopes. Mercy tried to throw everything she had at the Dragon... but by the end of this one, it wasn't Dragon left a bloody mess, it was Mercy, busted open by a vicious headbutt, slammed down with THREE Last of the Dragons, before eventually tapping out to Dragon's brutal facelock to keep the World Champion undefeated. The lesson here: never count Shiana Sentarl out, no matter what the odds may be. With Kantar seeming unable to get his usual foothold early on, Shiana was able to keep pace with him... delivering a crushing Superkick that seemed to set the tone. Kantar attempted to put her away with the Triple Powerbomb, only for the Queen to grab the ropes... and moments later, she was able to line up a second Superkick that scored maybe the most shocking victory of the night, even outdoing Layla over Urani, or Chico over Firehawk... Perhaps the single most dominant showing anyone's had thus far, Anahera was determined to keep herself in the running to win Block B, and absolutely ripped into Rumika from the bell. While Hashi tried to hang in there, Anahera just didn't let up for a second... eventually laying the Lightning Pro star out with a series of vicious elbows to pick up the win. Angel Leblanc's struggles continue... faced with the man that's currently leading Block A, she just couldn't keep up despite giving this one everything she had, eventually being brought down by one of Blake's signature maneuvers... and kept him firmly on top of the standings. Make no mistake: Laenara Kintelas has more than shaken off any signs of rust, and scored the single biggest win of her run thus far, facing off against her own father... and family or not, these two gave each other their best. Lae, however, just pushed harder in the end... a Bloody Cross and a pair of Kintelas Drivers ending up the deciding blow to bring down her father and stay on track to try and win Block B. Night 6 will happen Thursday night, Night 7 on Saturday, the final on Monday. Here's the card for Night 6. Blake Dynamite (4-1) vs. Layla Al-Amin (2-3)
Mercy Devine (0-5) vs. Kileas Kintelas (3-2)
Angel Leblanc (1-4) vs. Kantar (3-2)
Todd Colton (1-4) vs. Anahera (3-2)
Chico Con Carne (2-3) vs. Shiana Sentarl (3-2)
Laenara Kintelas (3-2) vs. Rumika Hashi (3-2)
Urani Whitemist (2-3) vs. Firehawk Sentarl (3-2)
Main Event: The Black Dragon (5-0) vs. Lance Marshall (2-3)

We're coming up on the end of this thing, once and for all. Just one more night before the final, and we find out exactly what's gonna happen at the end of the year. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/499199333Youtube: youtu.be/p_9_EHou7jsQuick Results Layla Al-Amin def. Blake Dynamite Mercy Devine def. Kileas Kintelas Kantar def. Angel Leblanc Todd Colton def. Anahera Shiana Sentarl def. Chico Con Carne Laenara Kintelas def. Rumika Hashi Urani Whitemist def. Firehawk Sentarl Lance Marshall def. The Black Dragon Write-ups Hot, high-flying opener with both sides getting in a lot of fast-paced offense... but Layla was a step ahead tonight, hitting a Shiranui out of the corner and then promptly snapping Blake up with her finisher to pick up a huge win, and ensure Blake couldn't run away with the Block A victory so easily... Mercy Devine made this match her own. Relentless offense and her brand of Evergreen violence carried Mercy to one of the more shocking victories of the tournament, eventually planting Kileas with a vicious piledriver and getting a major upset to eliminate Kileas from contending for the block victory. The outcome never really seemed in doubt, but Angel still put up a fairly solid fight against the Evergreen demon before eventually getting brought down, keeping Kantar well on pace. Todd Colton plays spoiler... big surprise. Eliminating Anahera from the block victory, Todd made it very clear that even if he's not going to win this tournament, he's very much still a threat, and cannot be ignored... Shiana Sentarl refuses to give in. Although Chico gave this one his all, Shiana seemed to be a step ahead of the game, eventually snapping out with a Slingblade out of the blue to put this match away and draw her even with the top of the block... can the Queen finish out strong? Laenara Kintelas isn't afraid of what could happen if she keeps fighting her way to the top. With the Dragon waiting for her if things fall together, she simply will not go quietly... picking up a huge, hard-fought win against Rumika Hashi to ensure that Block B will only go one of two ways, now. Firehawk stumbles once again... and Urani Whitemist, after what's been a very rough tournament, keeps her hopes alive. A crushing bearhug cut off Firehawk's comeback and ensured that Urani has one last chance to make the final... It seemed destined to happen, from the way Lance was fighting in this match. He was an absolute wrecking ball, wearing Dragon down, making it tough for the World Champion to catch her breath... and after delivering nearly all of his biggest moves, he capped it off with the Demonkiller... which you could perhaps call the Dragonslayer, now, as Lance finally avenges a defeat from so long ago. The last night before the final... the matches that'll decide who fights for the title match on Monday. We've reached the end of the road... so here we go. Rumika Hashi (3-3) vs. Lance Marshall (3-3) Angel Leblanc (1-5) vs. Layla Al-Amin (3-3) Anahera (3-3) vs. Mercy Devine (1-5) Kantar (4-2) vs. Urani Whitemist (3-3) Laenara Kintelas (4-2) vs. Todd Colton (2-4) Blake Dynamite (4-2) vs. Chico Con Carne (2-4) Kileas Kintelas (3-3) vs. The Black Dragon (5-1) Main Event: Firehawk Sentarl (3-3) vs. Shiana Sentarl (4-2)A lot of scenarios in play here: With three Block A participants at 4-2, and three more at 3-3, we have some serious potential for absolute chaos if things fall just right. If Layla, Urani and Firehawk win their matches, and Chico beats Blake, we'll wind up with a major snarl that results in a SIX-WAY TIE. The chances of it are slim, but if it does indeed come to that, then Monday will see a 6-way battle royal... but if even one of those four things doesn't happen, we're definitely NOT getting that six-way tie. There is a chance, however, that it all comes down to the final match: a first-time ever matchup between husband and wife (And no matter how much anyone tries to insist, no, Shiana is NOT Firehawk's mother. :P )
Meanwhile, in Block B, it comes down to two people: Laenara Kintelas and the Black Dragon. Laenara first needs to win her match: defeating Todd Colton will finish her run at 5-2, and then her fate rests in the hands of her father... if Kileas defeats the Dragon, then we end up with a tie at the top of the Block B standings, and we'll see a rematch between Laenara and Dragon on Monday to kick off the show, for the right to face the Block A winner... which could end up also being undecided when Monday rolls around!
The doors are open for some seriously wild shenanigans... we'll see how it plays out on Saturday.

We've gotten through this thing. The standings are finished. There's nothing left but one last final show... the show that decides who goes on to New Year's Bash, who gets the shot at the Dragon, who gets the chance at glory. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/500191484Youtube: Quick Results Lance Marshall def. Rumika Hashi Layla Al-Amin def. Angel Leblanc Anahera def. Mercy Devine Urani Whitemist def. Kantar Laenara Kintelas def. Todd Colton Chico Con Carne def. Blake Dynamite Kileas Kintelas def. The Black Dragon Shiana Sentarl def. Firehawk Sentarl to win Block A outright Write-ups Lance looked like the man that won the World Championship tonight, a far cry from the struggles he's had as of late. Could this be a major turnaround for the Texan? Despite a somewhat disappointing run in the Grand Ascension, he capped it off with an absolutely massive win over the World Champion, and a dominant showing against Rumika Hashi here... Layla wasn't going to be denied by Angel here. Still having a shot going into tonight's show, the Cairo Cyclone was electric, fending off Angel's offense and eventually landing a huge cannonball senton to finish things strong. Anahera was in no mood tonight. More than usual. Mercy tried to make this her match, as she did against Kileas, only to meet with a seriously pissed-off Maori following an errant chairshot... culminating in Anahera attempting to choke out Evergreen's boss, before landing a huge spinning tombstone onto one of the chairs Mercy had left strewn around the ring, knocking her out cold. Anahera remains a woman to be feared... and could be ready to prove she's capable of holding the World Championship. Two of the tournament's biggest and baddest finally clashed here... and they did not disappoint. With Kantar delivering multiple instances of his Triple Powerbomb, it looked like he might be on his way to a huge win, and likely, the block A victory... but Urani fired back with everything she had, ultimately driving the demon down with an Ushi-goroshi, and picking up one last victory, perhaps the biggest one of the tournament for her. A rough start for the Titan... but she drew even with the top of the field. Todd Colton did not want to let Laenara win this match. He dished out everything he could think of to try and keep the Hardcore Princess down... and it just wasn't enough, Laenara staying in the fight clear up until a crushing Bloody Cross sealed the victory... after the hardest-fought victory of the entire tournament. She kept her hopes alive... but now, had to pass her chances off to her father, the man she'd beaten just days ago. Chico Con Carne might've been one of the two that had no chance of winning the block coming into tonight's show, but that didn't stop him from putting on one hell of a performance against Blake Dynamite. Once again, Blake could've clinched at least a shot at winning the block with a win... but Chico had other ideas, weathering multiple Double Lotations en route to a wild rolling pin that gave him one last win, and put Blake even with the rest of the field... once more. You're not seeing things. That is Kileas Kintelas having defeated the Black Dragon... using the World Champion's finisher against her. Kileas came roaring out of the gate, and never let up for a second in this match... perhaps it didn't matter that he was Laenara's only hope of winning Block B, perhaps it was his own pride fueling him, but whatever the reason, he was a force to be reckoned with tonight... and left Dragon down and out for the second straight show, a fate that Dragon could've never imagined happening just a few days ago. Laenara and Dragon will now face off one more time, on Monday night... It was a long, hard road for Shiana Sentarl to get this far. A few stumbles along the way made it seem like the Queen might not have any hope... and then, things quickly turned around. A huge upset of Kantar put her in line for the biggest chance of her life... and all she had to do was win this match, a first-time-ever matchup that we may never see again. And despite Firehawk trying his hardest to keep his wife down and guarantee a six-way tie... Shiana's spirit would not falter. As husband and wife fought with all they had... Shiana lined up a piledriver, drove the love of her life down, and picked up the final victory of the tournament, winning Block A, and setting her up in the main event on Monday night. The Queen is just inches away from potentially taking her throne... there's only one person left in her path, now. Kileas Kintelas "Already, people are questioning my motivations from tonight's match. Who did I fight for? You don't need to know the answer. You know there are only two potential answers. But I won't tell you which is right. All you need to know is that I went out there determined to beat the Dragon... and I damn well did exactly that. Our history runs deeper than you'll ever be able to understand... and I have been waiting for this vengeance for over a year, now. Now... it's settled. Do as you will, Dragon... Laenara. Fight to your heart's content and finish what you've begun. I'll be watching." The Black Dragon "You listen closely, Kileas... because I know you'll hear this, one way or another. You think you're fucking CLEVER, huh? Figured out the strategy, figured out what works for you. Stole my biggest move and put me down. I hope you're proud of that... because you might think it's settled between us, but that little insult will be answered... sooner or later.
Lae... I'll admit, I'm still looking forward to this. It's been good seeing you back in that ring, better than ever. But make no mistake, kid... I'm not letting you off easy. I'm not giving you the final without a fight. You've got a long road to walk if you want any hope of taking this title from me yourself... so if you don't bring your absolute best, I'll crush you. You may be one of my few friends in the world, but all that means is that I'll fight even harder to bring out the best in you. So you'd damn well better bring everything you've got." Laenara Kintelas "Six months ago, there were fears that I'd never be able to set foot in the ring again. It wasn't clear what the extent of the damage was, whether I'd be able to make a full recovery... six months of torture, fighting every step of the way to get healthy again and continue to do what I love more than anything else. And when this all began, I showed the world that I made it. I got back into the ring, and here we are at the end of this tournament... and I've got a shot at winning the whole damn thing. Six months ago I was in a hospital bed barely able to move... and now, I've got the biggest chance of my career. Dragon... I'm more than ready for this rematch. I'm going to give you everything I've got. And I won't let you beat me this time. When the dust settles... when that bell rings... I'm gonna be the one that goes on... and I'm gonna come for you again and take that title to cap off the year. I'm gonna be World Champion. No doubt about it." Firehawk Sentarl "A match I never imagined we'd ever actually go through with... I never dreamed I'd stand in that ring across from my wife. But you know, standing back there, feeling nervous about actually going through with this... she's the one that said that we needed to give this our all. She's the reason you saw that match get as intense as it did. Told me, just this once, to treat her like any other opponent. And y'know, I did. And now I know what it's like to step in there with her, to experience that unbreakable spirit of hers. And I'm reminded again just why I fell in love with her in the first place.
Finish it. Win the final, go on to New Year's Bash, and become World Champion. Because you deserve that moment at the top. Nobody can ever deny you're the Queen of Phoenix Rising anymore. And if I honestly had to lose to anyone... I'm glad it was you." Shiana Sentarl "When this whole thing began, when we announced the blocks... the first couple of weeks I found myself almost dreading the match tonight. We've never once faced each other before like that. We've never been on opposite sides of the ring at all in our entire careers. And there was this nagging doubt in the back of my head... 'how much do I have left?' 'Can I really do this?' Those two losses just kept adding to my doubts... and then, I started turning things around. I stopped doubting it... because when have I ever let those thoughts into my head before? I've been doing this for... honestly, quite a long time now. And I finally figured out... that I didn't want my match with Firehawk to be anything less than our best. Because when are we ever going to do this again? I'm not sure I could repeat what I did tonight. I'm not sure he wants to repeat what he did. But just this once... we gave each other our all. And by the time I stepped through the ropes... there was no doubt in my mind at all. I was going to win.
And I'm not going to stop with this. I'm going to the final. I'm going to face whoever wins that match... Laenara, Dragon, it doesn't matter to me. With Lae, it's a new generation looking to take the reins from me. And while I certainly don't mind giving way to the younger generation... I still have something left. And as for Dragon... you and I have history, more than anyone else in Phoenix Rising. If I'm being honest with myself... I want you to win. I want to face you again. I want to prove myself one last time and finally overcome you... because you've always, always been one step ahead of me.
Come what may, though... I fully intend to win, and I intend to come after the World Championship. Nobody... nobody is going to get in the way of that." So this is it. The final night of the Grand Ascension. The big finale. We've got our card set up... this is how Monday will shake out. Everything but the two tournament matches will be live this time around... no pre-recording here, I'll be every bit as much in the dark as you guys. It's been one hell of a ride. Kantar and Mercy Devine vs. Pure Gold Laenara Kintelas vs. The Black Dragon: Block B Final Blackwood Academy Showcase Tag: Naoko Yoshida, Shiori Yoshida, Heather Wild and Josie Wilde vs. Angela Rothenberg, Brianna Tierney, Rhiannon Banes and Melody Bryant Layla Al-Amin vs. Anahera Todd Colton vs. Pajaro de Fuego Chico Con Carne and Rey de la Carne vs. The GOAT (Victor and Kellaron) Eri Sentarl vs. Besos for the Pacific Northwest Championship Grand Finals: Shiana Sentarl vs. Block B Winner

Rey de la Carne and Chico Con Carne Eri Sentarl def. Besos to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Shiana Sentarl def. Laenara Kintelas to win the Grand Ascension Tournament Write-ups Wild opener with a strange ending... a huge carrying spear from Kanjirin left Mercy down and out, and Kantar... perhaps questioning what he was doing out there, failing to make an obvious save and costing the Evergreen team the match. Going into this match, nobody could've ever guessed it'd end this way. A third straight loss for the Dragon... and to a submission, no less? Laenara Kintelas might've just made her entire career with this win, regardless of the outcome of the overall tournament... Everyone got a chance to shine in this showcase match, but the real star of the match seemed to be Angela Rothenberg, who showed absolutely no signs of being nervous on the big stage, eventually overpowering Heather Wild and laying her out with a huge spiking chokeslam to pick up the win. Anahera had one thing in mind: finish strong, and she definitely did that. Layla gave it her best, but Anahera was a pure wrecking ball here, a massive spinning tombstone putting this one away. Todd got lucha'd. There's not terribly much more to be said here... Pajaro de Fuego might have his eyes on taking the Top Prospect Championship and sending Todd packing... Maybe the most fun match of the night. It's a sign of what we're gonna get from Rey and Chico going forward, and while they fell to Victor and Kellaron in the end, there was no doubt that the brothers can hang with the best. Tag gold in ESTRELLA just isn't enough for Eri Sentarl... her goal has always been to capture a singles title in her home promotion. And finally, she's done it. The Pacific Northwest Championship finds a new home with the Little Phoenix, after a hard-fought, fast-paced battle with Besos, and Eri's biggest goal has finally been realized. And so, here we are at the very end of it. Shiana Sentarl stands tall, but Laenara didn't go quietly... nearly taking this one on a few occasions before Shiana's crushing piledriver finally sealed it, giving the Queen of Phoenix Rising the tournament victory and a huge opportunity against the World Champion at New Year's Bash... I'm gonna take it easy for the rest of the night. If I run an Evergreen show on Thursday, I'll post a card for it with in the next day or so. Otherwise, I'll see everyone on Saturday for the October Academy show (taking place in November because lol,) and then next Monday as we return to business as usual.

OK. Things are returning to normal here, now... and as the last show before the Grand Ascension began was Proving Ground #43, that means that coming up next... well, it's Showdown #43, of course, what else would it be? Les Beautes Blondes (Michelle/Angel) vs. Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas
Fenix Oscuro vs. Cassandra Marshall
Telan Kintelas vs. Mascara Avispa
Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Yuki Maeda
Rilantha De Nav vs. Shiana Sentarl
Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright vs. Laenara Kintelas and Urani Whitemist
The Black Dragon vs. Lance Marshall
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Lance Marshall
Eri Sentarl vs. Natasha Clover for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Les Beautes Blondes are not going to be separated any longer. Angel Leblanc returns to her team after making the mistake of running the tournament on her own... and coming away with more than just disappointment in the end. Still, they've got a nasty duo to face off with here: Alex and Markos could be one of the toughest teams that the Blondes have faced yet. Fenix Oscuro is seething. Her fellow Malevolent Triad member, Haruka Matsura, failed to capture the Pacific Northwest Championship... and her most hated rival, instead, now holds that title, obviously making Oscuro's blood boil. She'll try to take out her frustrations on Cassandra Marshall... but we all know how dangerous the cowgirl really is. Telan Kintelas, believing he was snubbed from the tournament, will be aiming to prove he should've been chosen as he takes on Mascara Avispa here. Still... does Telan really have what it takes to bring down Avispa, whose legend only seems to grow with each passing week? Listalva Anne Heyward, no doubt about it, is on cloud nine. That doesn't mean, however, that she's going to make things easy on Eri... because if she's still the champion when Lis makes her way up the rankings, Queen Anne will be looking to retake her place as champion. First, however, she's got to get through Yuki Maede... and that is no easy task. Shiana Sentarl, winner of the Grand Ascension, now gears up to prepare for a championship match in about two months. Until then, she'll need to stay sharp... and Rilantha De Nav is certainly the right person for the job, no doubt willing to keep the Queen guessing. Ril was another odd omission from the tournament... and perhaps here we'll see how she might've done. Laenara Kintelas was the runner-up in the Grand Ascension... and had a hell of a run to get to that point. Now returning to Showdown for the first time in over six months, she joins forces with the love of her life, Urani Whitemist, to take on none other than the tag team champions... her own father, Kileas, who she's already defeated in the tournament, and Winifred Wright. This could mark the beginning of a push to win the Tag Team Championships... and knowing this team, they could easily capture those titles. Eri Sentarl doesn't have much time to enjoy her freshly-won title. Just one week after capturing the title from Besos, Eri now has to weather the God Hand... Natasha Clover is next in line, and she wants the title back around her waist, aiming to become the first two-time Pacific Northwest Champion. The Black Dragon wants nothing more than to claim revenge on Lance Marshall. Her loss to Lance signaled a sharp decline near the end of the Grand Ascension: three straight losses, of which Lance was the first. Now she'll look to get her win back and remind the cowboy that she is nothing less than the most dominant champion in Phoenix Rising's history.Small adjustment following Lightning Pro's show Friday night... precautions being taken, Dragon will sit this show out, and will be replaced by Firehawk Sentarl to take on Lance Marshall. That match has also been shifted back a spot, making the Pacific Northwest Championship match the main event this week.

We're back to normal. I think I'm back into the swing of things, now. Thankfully. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/504152209Youtube: youtu.be/zd1_paCOHGYQuick Results Les Beautes Blondes def. Markos Andreas and Alexandria Kirison Fenix Oscuro def. Cassandra Marshall Mascara Avispa def. Telan Kintelas Yuki Maeda def. Listalva Anne Heyward Rilantha De Nav def. Shiana Sentarl Laenara Kintelas and Urani Whitemist def. Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright Lance Marshall def. Firehawk Sentarl Natasha Clover def. Eri Sentarl to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Write-ups A wildly hot opener, but the real story of this match was Angel Leblanc's strong finish... with a sequence that was so thoroughly dominant, it makes the rest of us wonder if Michelle and Elise really do give her some kind of strength when the trio's together? LBB picks up a much-needed win, and Angel's momentum is back on track... Oscuro's killer instinct carried her to victory here... even without Haruka and Selisha nearby, she was shockingly dominant even after being busted open early on, eventually seizing every opportunity she could get, and forcing the submission in the end. One hell of a return to form for Avispa, outpacing Telan right from the bell... and while Telan tried to even the score, Avispa wound up catching him in true lucha style to pick up the win. As much effort as Lis put into this one, Yuki was not to be denied, ragdolling Queen Anne without hesitation, and eventually slapping on the Nagata Lock, the second match in the past three days to end that way around here... with Keiko and Yuki both finishing on that signature submission. Certainly not the way that the tournament winner would've liked to return to Showdown, but with Rilantha De Nav perhaps feeling left out, she had something to prove, taking down the #1 contender and reminding everyone just how dangerous she really is. Once again, Laenara Kintelas pulls one over on her father. Alongside Urani Whitemist, she was just as good here as she was during the Grand Ascension, and finished things off with the Kintelas Driver, taking Winifred down and setting up a title match in the near future. Lance was expecting a rematch with the Black Dragon, but with GPC taking her out of action, Firehawk stepped in as a replacement... and Lance showed absolutely no sign of being fazed by the change, absolutely plowing through Firehawk en route to a huge victory. This might've been a complete disaster for Eri Sentarl. Indecision plagued her near the end of the match: unable to decide how she wanted to finish, leading to Natasha taking advantage and knocking the champion senseless with a series of elbows, and capturing the title after just a single week. Eri Sentarl "I finally get what I've been after all this time... and the first time I go out to defend it, I blow it and lose it after just one week... I can't believe I let this happen. That I let myself lose focus this badly... I'm going to climb my way back up the standings. I'm not letting this happen again. I'll win that title again and I won't ever let myself lose like this... I won't make those mistakes again...!" Les Beautes Blondes "You can make whatever claims you want after the tournament... but I will never make the mistake of leaving these two behind again!" Angel Leblanc is truly defiant after the Blondes' victory earlier, though she spots the familiar figure of Fenix Oscuro passing by. "And where, exactly, were YOUR allies tonight? Abandoning you after weeks of failure, finally?"
"Watch your tongue." Oscuro slowly turns to look back at Angel... it's hard to tell what the luchadora is thinking due to her mask, but from the tone of her voice... Angel's crossing a line.
"You stand alone, Oscuro... what exactly do you think you'll do about this?" Angel holds out her arms, a smug look on the Frenchwoman's face... only for that smug look to fade as Haruka Matsura and Selisha seem to almost melt out of the shadows, all eyes on Angel.
Oscuro cants her head slightly... and chaos breaks out in an instant, Haruka and Selisha springing into action almost immediately, Oscuro right behind them and going straight for Angel. The brawl goes in favor of the Malevolent Triad in a hurry... and they leave the Blondes lying as officials come to break things up, with the Triad slipping away. "We'll settle this soon enough... that arrogance will be punished." Rilantha De Nav "Make no mistake... I fully intend to stake my claim around here once again. Am I upset over being left out of the Grand Ascension? Yeah, of course I am. Am I going to go on some kind of path of destruction for revenge? No, of course not. But I will make one thing very, very clear... I'm going to remind everyone why I've been able to hang around for so long."

y'know it's funny when I forget to update the thread title Before we get into Proving Ground #44's card, a brief interlude (courtesy of Senator): Fresh back from their flight out of Japan, the Muscle Machines stopped by the Phoenix Rising offices, partly to pick up some items from the locker room, and partly due to a message from management.
Adonis Avery Alexander: You nincompoop, we never attend these meetings. But you just had to stop back by the locker room for your stuff, didn't you?
Gary Gear: Gotta stay pumped and hyped, man. And maybe we should do these meetings more often, I mean, they give us opportunities and stuff.
AAA: Whatever. We don't need to hear them drone on for a half hour while we try to stay awake. Better to start working on some squats or hit the track...oh wait, you don't do that, do you?
Gear: Cardio's for sissies!
AAA: Anyway, here we are, let's get in there, and get your stupid stuff and get out.
The two walk into the offices attached to Phoenix Rising's regular arena, walking through an atrium. The woman at the front desk holds back a laugh as she wordlessly directs the two dismal looking Machines with a point down the hallway to the left. Eventually, the two reluctantly enter a small conference room, filled with members of the Proving Ground roster. A harried, well groomed man in a polo shirt, thick framed glasses and khakis walks up to the Machines, tablet in hand.
AAA: Jimmy. Carpentier.
Gear: How ya doin', you little four eyes pencil necked geeky Frenchy?
Jimmy Carpentier: Hello, Mr. Alexander, Mr. Gear. I am surprised you both bothered to show up for this meeting, but it is fortunate that you did. Management had a question for you two. We are planning on booking a match with Winter Fresh and Akira Ryusaki facing each of you and a partner of your choosing from the Proving Ground roster.
AAA: So, we have to team with another member from *this* roster?
Jimmy: I believe that is what I said.
Gear: Eh, let's just pick Kantar and go kick some ass!
AAA: Proving Ground, numbskull. He means, someone in this room.
Gear: Ugh.
AAA: You said it. Look at those unathletic, genetically inferior losers. Little Felice Santana? Don't make me laugh. Most of them are either too stupid, like Argent, or they don't mesh with our style.
Gear: Hey, what about Kyle Anderson? Yo, Kyle!
Kyle Anderson, wearing a Baltimore Ravens jersey, walks over to the Machines.
Kyle Anderson: What do you want, Gear?
Gear: We were thinking...
AAA: What he meant to say, *I* was thinking that we needed a teammate for...
Kyle: Wait, thanks, but I'm already booked. Good luck, though.
Gear: But, but...
AAA: Give it a rest. Who else is left now? The rest of the people here are...women.
Gear: Hey, we could team with Titania, she's buff and she's a babe, come on, let's go ask her.
AAA: No, I would rather not...
Gear: Hey, Titania! Yeah, come over here, we got a question!
Looking several shades of disgusted, Titania marches over to the Muscle Machines. She looks both over with a disapproving eye before bothering to speak.
Titania: This better not be about that damn trios match.
AAA: Look, I do not have any use for teaming with...
Titania: Cut it! I don't want to team with you! You're too obsessed with working out for show.
Gear: Yeah, he's just a tiny little guy, isn't he?
Titania: And you, you're about as natural as Kim Kardashian's ass. Utterly disgusting. Neither of you are worthy of teaming with me. Unlike you, I earned my body the hard way, unlike him, I have functional power. So, get lost.
At this point, Jimmy Carpentier walks over to the three.
Jimmy: Ah, so you found a partner.
Titania/AAA: NO!
Jimmy: Very nice, very nice. I'll be sure to mark you three down for Monday, then.
As Carpentier walks away, AAA and Titania engage in a heated staredown.
AAA: I did not ask for this.
Titania: And you think I wanted it?
Gear: Yeah, lets do this thing! Fear Gary Gear! Yeah!
AAA: You know what...whatever, I don't care...I really don't.... Hugo Dirksen vs. Victor Kintelas
The Muscle Machines and Titania vs. Winter Fresh and Akira Ryusaki
Candace Monroe vs. Golden Tigress
Silver Hawk vs. Kyle Anderson
Adrenaline Rush vs. La Familia (Chico and Rey)
Kellaron Sentarl vs. Golden Tiger
Inspire Championship #1 Contender's Battle Royal: Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Allison Avery vs. Felice Santana vs. Nicole Blade vs. Donna Nobel vs. Layla Al-Amin vs. La Relampaga vs. SATOMI
Todd Colton vs. Pajaro de Fuego for the Top Prospect ChampionshipThe night kicks off with the Dutchman, Hugo Dirksen, taking on easily one of Proving Ground's finest... with Victor Kintelas ready to roll once again, Hugo is sure to have his hands full against a former Top Prospect Champion.
Much to the dismay of Avery Adonis Alexander (and Titania), this match was signed... and so the Muscle Machines find themselves across the ring from Winter Fresh once again. This time, they'll be joined by Titania, an equal powerhouse to either of the Machines, while Winter Fresh will be joined by Rin Ryusaki's brother, Akira. There's no telling how this match may turn out...
Candace Monroe will be flying solo this week as the Limbtakers await a future challenger for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships... and Golden Tigress seems determined to ensure that those challengers will be the Golden Ambush. A win here could potentially set the Ambush in line, but Candace has proved a dangerous opponent, whether alone or with RNA.
Kyle Anderson mentioned to the Muscle Machines that he'd already been booked for a match, and this was the one. He'll be taking on Silver Hawk, whose tag partner challenges for the Top Prospect Championship later in the night... Silver Hawk, meanwhile, will seek to pick up a major victory.
La Familia makes their debut on Proving Ground this week, after their first Phoenix Rising match on the final night of the Grand Ascension. Chico and Rey will seek to topple Adrenaline Rush here, and a win could set the duo up for a fast-track to the top of the division...
Kellaron Sentarl has his eyes on rising back towards the top... and this week, it seems the path goes through Golden Tiger. This could be one of the more unpredictable matches of the night... Golden Tiger is still something of an unknown force lately, and we'll get a chance to see what he's really made of.
Reina del Tigre awaits a challenger for the Inspire Championship, and she'll get one after this match, as eight women step into the ring for a battle royal that'll surely be one of the most intensely competitive matches of the night. With eight of the best that the division has to offer, there's no telling who might score the opportunity... but there can be no doubt that one name in particular stands out: SATOMI, wanting a rematch with the champion to reclaim her title. It'll be tough to get there, though...
Finally, we close out the night with the Top Prospect Championship on the line. Pajaro de Fuego already holds one victory over Todd Colton, on the final night of the Grand Ascension, and now he seeks to claim the title in their second meeting. Todd, however, has never been one to go lightly... and surely, will have another trick up his sleeve for their rematch. With the championship on the line, Todd's certain to bring his A-game...

Todd Colton had... quite a bit to say ahead of his championship defense on Monday: "Right, I've had a hell of a lot on my mind the past couple of weeks, since the Grand Ascension wrapped up. And I figured... no better time to get every last bit of it off my chest than right now. So let's jump right into it. First thing's first, Pajaro de Fuego. Gets a win over me on the final night of the tournament. Fair enough, earns himself a title shot. But let me be perfectly clear... you are not gonna be the guy to take this title off of me. Hell, nobody is. Because nobody on Proving Ground has what it takes. And I don't really care who it happens to be under that mask... whether it's Firehawk Sentarl, whether it's some no-name from god-knows-where, Mexico, whether it's someone running the long con, I don't care because you don't have half the talent I've got, you don't have my presence, you don't have my ability. For every single person that boos the moment I show my face in that ring, there's three more cheering me on because I have proven, time and time again, that I am Proving Ground's absolute best. That there is nobody that can even touch me as long as I'm defending this title, and believe me, I intend to keep defending it for a looooooong time to come.
But, y'know, why don't we bring this back around to the Sentarl family? They've damn well been in the public eye lately, so why don't we go over a little history lesson? The Sentarl family, built entirely on failure. Starting right at the damn top with the big man himself... Firehawk's had one little beacon of success in the two years that this whole thing's been rolling along, and he can't even claim it for himself because it was a tag team. A team, might I add, that made at least someone out there believe he was cheating on his wife! So even at the height of his success around here, he blows the whole thing to hell. Then we move on down to his kids... and lemme tell you, seeing Natasha, my girl, kick the shit out of Eri last week? Absolute fucking poetry. Finally, she gets where she's been shooting for this whole time, and her first defense, she blows it against someone just plain better. But hey, Tasha's made her career on humiliating Sentarls at this point... which is why she's gonna stomp the shit out of the baby sister as well, 'cause Kaelara doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of beating her. Natasha already beat her once and took that very same title... so what makes you think it's gonna be any different this time? Don't think I forgot our little run-in so long ago, Kae, 'cause I never forget that sorta thing.
Oh, don't let me forget the son... but I think everyone does, because what the hell's Kellaron done, huh? I'll tell you what he's done, stood in the shadow of his fuckin' boy toy Victor, never scoring a damn thing for himself. Now, you might think I forgot someone... but I saved the biggest one for last. Shiana Sentarl, the so-called 'Queen'. The winner of the Grand Ascension! The number one contender for the World Championship! The Dragon's next victim- opponent, yeah. Because come on. Let's face it... It'd be in line with the whole damn family. Coming so far, just to collapse right at the end in failure.
Maybe Pajaro de Fuego really is a Sentarl under that mask. Because god knows he's every bit as much of a failure, a fuck-up, a loser as the rest of 'em. Come Monday, I'll just be proving that once again, nobody around here's got what it takes... and I'm sick and tired of it.
Proving Ground's got nothing left to offer me. I'm not going to wait to lose this title to make my move. Showdown's roster better watch themselves... 'cause I'm coming for each and every one of you. I'm going to show every single person in that audience that the Grand Ascension was a fluke... and I am nothing short of Phoenix Rising's fastest-rising star, its greatest talent, its greatest champion.
And there's not a goddamn person walking this earth that can dispute it."

Hell of a night as usual. And a whole lot of implications for the near future. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/507225604Youtube: youtu.be/teQH8y_ewS0Quick Results Victor Kintelas def. Hugo Dirksen Winter Fresh + Akira Ryusaki def. The Muscle Machines + Titania Golden Tigress def. Candace Monroe Silver Hawk def. Kyle Anderson La Familia def. Adrenaline Rush Golden Tiger def. Kellaron Sentarl Donna Nobel won the battle royal to become Inspire Championship #1 Contender Todd Colton def. Pajaro de Fuego to retain the Top Prospect Championship Write-ups Hard-fought opener, but Victor Kintelas remains one of Proving Ground's finest, and put Hugo away with the very same Cutter that's been carrying him to so many victories as of late, despite Hugo bringing all he had to bear. Despite her disdain (and likewise from AAA), Titania did her best to work alongside the Machines... well, at least with Gear, somewhat. But the well-oiled machine that is Winter Fresh was only made better with Akira Ryusaki's presence, and they'd wind up picking up the win, with Akira keeping Titania down with a GTR. Golden Tigress clearly had a plan in mind... an unorthodox one, but the series of rolling cradle pins clearly did their job, eventually keeping Candace down for the three-count. Silver Hawk was a step ahead here for the entire match, eventually countering a big bomb attempt by Kyle into a rana pin, following Hawk keeping up a blistering pace that Kyle seemingly couldn't keep up with. The rolling cradle reared its head again here as Chico Con Carne eventually took control, snapping up Nic Nitro and picking up a big win for La Familia in their Proving Ground debut. It could be just a matter of time before they find themselves in contention for the tag titles... but they'll seemingly have to go through the Golden Ambush first. Golden Tiger showed off just how vicious he can be in this one... landing his brutal Tigerdriver but eventually catching Kellaron in a quick roll-up to finish the job in short order. The Golden Ambush could be riding high... a dangerous trio, without a doubt, that could find themselves holding more than just the Inspire Championship before long. It was pure chaos from the beginning... with SATOMI bloodied early on, she still fought on for quite some time, but eventually was brought down by Donna Nobel... who would go on to win the match overall, forcing La Relampaga to tap out in the end to set up a match with Reina del Tigre. It's the biggest singles opportunity of Donna's Proving Ground career... but can she topple the champ? The much-anticipated main event was almost entirely Todd's show. While Pajaro de Fuego put up a solid fight, Todd once again backed up his bold words from days earlier, putting this match to rest with a huge Exploder, and once again, retained the Top Prospect Championship... and leaves Proving Ground, still on top of the world. He'll continue to defend the title, but who could possibly stop him now?

Before I go flopping into bed for the night, have a card for Evergreen, coming up this Thursday. Skidmark vs. Eddy Introspect
Luci vs. Concrete Pete
Elly Blackwood vs. Sayaka Saito
Veronika Armstrong and Rebecca Andrews vs. The Sheridan Brothers
The Phantom Thief vs. Mercy Devine
Kevin Royce vs. Kantar
Main Event: El Verde vs. eMo (Sookie and Penelope)We open this week with eMo looking to keep their run of good fortune alive from last episode: Eddy Introspect steps into the ring with Skidmark, and the main worry here is whether Eddy can avoid being flattened by the much bigger man here. Still, after a clean sweep just a couple of weeks ago, eMo is riding high...
And Luci will be looking to continue that as well as she, too, takes on a large opponent in Concrete Pete. Pete's had a very up-and-down career thus far in Evergreen, but this match could be exactly what he needs to get back on track... or, it could give Luci another major victory.
Elly Blackwood's path through Evergreen seems to be leading through damn near everyone. This week, she sets her sights on Sayaka Saito... and Sayaka would love to be the first one to topple the Invincible Elly. It's a daunting task, though... and could be out of reach of almost everyone in Evergreen short of the Demons.
Sayaka's teammates will not be sitting idle, as they square off against the Sheridan Brothers, who've seen mixed success as of late. Zack's been doing well for himself, while Vincent has... fared less well, but here against Veronika and Rebecca, they may be able to bounce back.
The Phantom Thief's return at Evergreen #19 was a shocking development by any stretch of the imagination... and a win over Vincent Sheridan made his return a newsworthy one. Now, his target appears to be the boss... Mercy Devine will look to topple the outsider, and avoid the Change of Heart that the Thief no doubt would love to make happen.
Kevin Royce scored one of the single greatest upsets we've ever seen, when he defeated Tasharun at Evergreen #19. Declaring the Demon an outsider and handling him in his usual fashion, Kantar appears to have taken some measure of offense... considering he's the one that brought Tasharun into Evergreen in the first place. But can Kantar stop the man that's been on a roll since his return?
Our main event stems as something of a rematch from last episode: with Strawberry Sookie picking up a singles victory over El Evergringo, El Verde as a team have now challenged eMo's leader... and Sookie will have Penelope Lea by her side again, this time in the ring. Can the Evergreen Champion keep up the blistering momentum that eMo has enjoyed as of late?

Evergreen did what they tend to do. You know the drill by now. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/508504248Youtube: youtu.be/p-XQKN2EHOIQuick Results Eddy Introspect def. Skidmark Concrete Pete def. Luci Elly Blackwood def. Sayaka Saito The Sheridan Brothers def. Veronika Armstrong and Rebecca Andrews The Phantom Thief def. Mercy Devine Kevin Royce def. Kantar eMo def. El Verde Write-ups When has Eddy Introspect ever looked this motivated? Despite seeming... well, his usual apprehensive self on the way to the ring, once the match started, it was like a switch got flipped, and he absolutely dismantled Skidmark. It might had something to do with the copious amount of low blows being dished out, though. eMo's celebration finally comes to an end thanks to Concrete Pete... who now draws the group's ire by taking out Luci with his Cement Mixer bomb, which can only lead to trouble down the line... Sayaka Saito put up one of the more impressive fights against Elly Blackwood, giving this match her all, but the crafty Elly eventually trapped her in one of her many arm submissions and forced the tapout, keeping the Invincible looking very much just that... still undefeated in Evergreen. A wild one as most Evergreen tag matches are, this one ended with dueling submissions... and when Vincent refused to tap out to the Anaconda Vice, Zack's own submission forced Veronika to give in, and gave the Sheridans a resounding win. Once again, Zack proves the better of the two... Mercy Devine hasn't taken too kindly to the invasion of the Phantom Thief into her fed... immediately challenging him here, and nearly taking the win on a few occasions with her typical underhanded tactics. But the Mandible Claw isn't to be taken lightly... and the Thief puts down Evergreen's boss, suddenly looking like quite the force in just a short span of time. Back-to-back, Kevin Royce has faced the Demons and not only lived to tell the tale, but he's beaten both of them. It was Tasharun last time out... and now, Kantar falls as well to the old veteran, after a wild brawl on the outside... and a vicious Iron Claw back inside the ring. Kevin looks like a world-beater now, and could have his sights set on something big before the year's end... Pure, absolute chaos from the opening bell. With Verde being her usual violent self, both members of eMo were bloodied throughout this one, but Sookie and Penelope refused to give in for a second... and while Evergringo was distracted fighting Penelope on the other side of the ring, Sookie landed a huge diving cutter that put Verde down for the count, and gave the Evergreen Champion another big victory to her name. Kevin Royce "As much as you've been accepted as Evergreen to the core... remember that you, and everyone else here, would have never been a damn thing without me. And all it takes is me stepping into that ring on the opposite side from you... I can put you down and make sure you don't get back up anytime soon. You test me... you'll know exactly what Evergreen stands for, first-hand. I'm taking back everything that's mine, once and for all." And now, we move to Monday. Showdown, back in action once again, and... well, there's quite a bit to be said here. Besos vs. Cassandra MarshallRilantha De Nav vs. Xiu Mei LiBlake Dynamite vs. Angel LeblancEri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Alexandria Kirison and Markos AndreasTodd Colton vs. Telan KintelasShiana Sentarl vs. AnaheraKaelara Sentarl vs. Natasha Clover for the Pacific Northwest ChampionshipLaenara Kintelas and Urani Whitemist vs. Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team ChampionshipsBesos kicks off the night against Cassandra Marshall, in a match that could very easily have major repercussions in the Pacific Northwest Championship division... with Cassandra as high in the rankings as she is, could Besos find herself right back in contention here? Rilantha De Nav scored one hell of a win over Shiana Sentarl last time out... and now, she seeks to keep that fire in her as she takes on one-half of Showdown's most decorated tag team. We haven't seen a lot of Xiu Mei Li lately, but this could easily be the night she has her breakout moment... or could signal Ril's rise towards the top. Blake Dynamite has left the Pacific Northwest division... and now, he's officially entered into contention for the World Championship. Angel Leblanc did the same some time ago, but even with the other members of Les Beautes Blondes at ringside, can she even hope to stop the most dynamic man in all of Phoenix Rising? Left in frustration after losing the Pacific Northwest Championship in her first defense, Eri Sentarl has stepped back to her apparent lover to return to the tag team division... and alongside Queen Anne, they'll take on the Greek team of Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas. Can Eri bounce back from the most agonizing loss of her career? Can Queen Anne pull the Little Phoenix out of a dangerous slide? Todd Colton's Showdown debut won't be delayed one bit. Telan Kintelas is the first one that wants a piece of the brash Top Prospect, and Todd will seek to start off his tenure on the new show with a bang... Shiana Sentarl stumbled a bit last week when she lost to Rilantha De Nav, her first match after winning the Grand Ascension. Things won't get any easier as she squares off with Anahera this week, and not only that, but it seems that she's got something else waiting in the wings... Kaelara Sentarl has one thing on her mind: retribution. Not only for Natasha being the woman that cost her the Pacific Northwest Championship (the very first time it was defended under that name after being converted from the Women's Championship), but for watching Eri fall in much the same fashion. But Natasha seems bound and determined to hold on to her title... and as the first two-time Pacific Northwest Champion, she's almost certainly going to make this difficult. Finally, a match set up with the Lae/Urani victory last episode, these two teams will clash a second time... and Laenara Kintelas is absolutely determined to not only claim the tag team championships (and beat her father yet again, to boot!)... but... well, we'll let her speak her piece. Laenara Kintelas "You want to know what's really been on my mind the past few weeks? Since that final night? That final match? I tried to take my mind off it by going back to the team. Back to working alongside Urani, straight to focusing on the tag titles because I didn't want to dwell on the fact that I blew the biggest shot of my life.
To hell with that. I'm not just going to walk away from it. I'm not asking to take away the shot... Shiana earned it, as much as I don't want to admit it, to accept it. What I want is a rematch. I want another shot at the Queen. I want to prove that I can win that match, I want to prove that on any given day, I can not only beat you, Shiana, but I can become the World Champion... and that's all I'm asking for, is one... more... shot.
And what I'm putting out there is simple. You win, Shiana, and things go on exactly as scheduled. You versus Dragon, World Championship on the line, one-on-one with nothing standing in your way.
But if I beat you... then I want in. I want the match at New Year's Bash to become a 3-way. I don't expect you to agree... Hell, I'm not entirely sure the management will agree. But that's what I'm putting out there. That's what I want more than anything right now... I've never wanted anything more in my LIFE.
I went on a miracle run. Beat the World Champion. Got to the finals against all the odds... and watched it slip through my fingers at the very end. And it's time I avenged that failure. I don't care when it happens, Shiana... but the ball's in your court. The challenge is set.
When the dust settles and we step into 2020, Phoenix Rising will have a new World Champion. That title will be around my waist. I'll be Phoenix Rising's first-ever Triple Crown winner. And I will NEVER look back."

Highs and lows, no doubt about that... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/510377978Youtube: youtu.be/W86fwW9n_V0Quick Results Cassandra Marshall def. Besos Rilantha De Nav def. Xiu Mei Li Blake Dynamite def. Angel Leblanc Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas def. Eri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward Telan Kintelas def. Todd Colton Shiana Sentarl def. Anahera Natasha Clover def. Kaelara Sentarl to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Laenara Kintelas and Urani Whitemist def. Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright to become the NEW Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions Write-ups For all the resistance Besos put up here, Cassandra eventually turned up the pressure near the end and finished this one with a relentless string of offense to stay well on track to a Pacific Northwest Championship match in the near future. A revitalized Rilantha De Nav took the fight straight to Xiu Mei Li here, with a new look, albeit the familiar strategy we've come to know so well. A sharp counter roll-up scored the win for the veteran, with Ril staying well on pace to potentially go into the new year as a completely new woman. It's entirely possible that Blake simply overwhelmed Angel and the other members of LBB couldn't do a thing... but it's also possible that the trio is dwelling on the attack two weeks ago by the Malevolent Triad. While Oscuro's group didn't make an appearance tonight, they did have words after the show... and a threat for Angel and her allies. Eri Sentarl's head may not be in the right place, lately. She took quite the beating in this match, and was unusually slow to make the save late in the match, allowing Markos Andreas to finish the job. Can the Little Phoenix figure out what's wrong? Nobody told Telan that he was facing off against one of the most popular men in Phoenix Rising here. Much to the chagrin of most of the crowd, Telan picked up the win off a vicious Spear, ruining Todd Colton's Showdown debut... and, more than likely, making him one of the least popular men in Phoenix Rising as a result. A much-needed victory for Shiana ahead of a vital match in two weeks. While Anahera was every bit as dangerous as she's ever been, Shiana weathered her offense en route to a big piledriver/magistral combination, quickly becoming her go-to finisher as of late... can Laenara endure it herself, or will Shiana re-assert her position as the #1 contender, alone against the Dragon? Try as she might, Kaelara Sentarl just couldn't overcome the champion. Once again, Natasha Clover defeats her with the Pacific Northwest Championship on the line... although with Natasha defending it, this time. Two matches, two Sentarls beaten... Natasha will almost certainly lord this over the family for some time. The only mis-step that Laenara Kintelas has had since her return was her defeat at the hands of Shiana Sentarl in the Grand Ascension finals... a loss she intends to avenge in two weeks. Besides that, though, she's been nothing short of incredible, storming through the tournament and picking up huge victories that have given her a firm place in the World Championship division... not to mention, now, the Tag Team Championships. For the third time in the past month, Laenara Kintelas has defeated her father... first, one-on-one, then again two weeks ago to earn this match... and now, claiming the tag team titles alongside Urani. Can anything stop the fastest-rising star in Phoenix Rising? Does anyone have what it takes to stop the woman who beat the Dragon? Fenix Oscuro "It eats away at your mind, doesn't it? Being attacked out of nowhere, laid to waste like so many others... never thinking it might be your turn. And yet, Angel, you should be used to it by now, hm? You couldn't take your mind off of what we did to you. But you'll get a chance at retribution. While Miss Rochefort attempts to claim the Pacific Northwest Championship, you and Miss Pichon will face Selisha and Haruka... and I will be watching. Make no mistake... when the dust settles, the Malevolent Triad will stand over the broken bodies of Les Beautes Blondes. We will establish one thing, without any doubts... there is no force in Phoenix Rising that can stand against us." Natasha Clover "Y'know, it's a damn shame there aren't more of you Sentarls in this division... 'cause it'd be so damn easy to just run through another in two weeks. Beat up the Little Phoenix... broke her poor little heart by taking this title from her. Beat up the baby sister of the family... again. Sorry, Kaelara, but it just looks like you're not good enough to beat me... and you never will be. Nobody with the name 'Sentarl' is ever gonna stop me. Not Eri, not Kae, not their brother down in Proving Ground, and certainly not dear mom and dad. But, hey... if and when I don't have any prior commitments, you're welcome to take me up on that little challenge. Any of you. Cause I'm always willing to put another feather in my cap.
Oh, and Telan? Watch your fucking back. Just because you're part of the other family doesn't mean I won't hesitate to beat the shit out of you, you worthless roided-up hack."
