Yes! Love that show. Haven't watched season 3 yet but it's on the to-do list. Still the best video game adaptation ever - partially because The Witcher is technically a book adaptation, but still.
The amount they were able to flesh out those characters and still have them feel absolutely like themselves is commendable. Especially when we're talking about 8-bit NES characters - Trevor Belmont's previous personality traits were mostly: walks left, walks rights, climbs stairs, swings whip. And yet, that character (along with the others) is such a certain way in my head, it would be easy to get it so wrong. They still managed to have aspects of the characters that I never envisioned but still feel like themselves, and I think that's the single most important aspect to have in an adaptation - if the characters don't feel like themselves, why have them at all?
Good, good news.

Very well said. The more I think about it, that's really the key to video game -> Movie/TV adaptations š LOL at his previous personality being "walks left, walks rights, climbs stairs, swings whip" Character trait: "Jumps when UP is pressed" š

That trailer was awesome!!!!!!! š The lightsaber fight with Summer and Tammy was my favorite part!
The first half of the season had its moments but I wasn't blown away. The casino heist was my favorite episode by far. I kind of don't even remember most of the other episodes. It looks like the second half gets better. I'm glad Tammy is there and hopefully Phoenix Person is there too. I also really hope we get more Evil Morty. Really liked the Lone Wolf and Cub short too! āā Also, not sure if anyone else is watching but Better Call Saul has been excellent this season š

The last two episodes, in particular, have been stand outs.
Also, I was under the impression that this was the last season but it turns out next season will be the last š

Just checked out season two episodes of dark side of the ring. Thereās a pretty sad, dark Benoit two parter that I didnāt need to see, what a godamned waste, Chavo and Jericho are class acts though, especially chavo, Iām glad to see heās doing well outside of the business. It was well done, but I didnāt learn anything new, I followed the whole thing really closely when it happened.
The New Jack episode is CRAZY. That man is nuts, and promoters just sat back and let him do his thing. He always had that dead eyed look in ECW, he legit looked like a dangerous guy, probably because he is dangerous and admitted repeatedly to being really high for a lot of his matches. I think this episode is my favourite of the series if for no other reason New Jack is an unapologetic character of a human, and heās actually pretty funny in a sad kind of way. I love that he has no regrets about his career and is happy being true to himself. Great episode and a cool look into a guy I respected but never really cared for the style of āworkā of (his stuff in Smokey Mountain would have been scary though, the guy had balls to rile up that group the way he did!).

Another episode of dark side of the ring under the belt, uh, title, just watched the Brawl for all episode. I forgot what a shit show that thing was back in the day. I remember enjoying it because Iām a bit of a sick f$&k and like seeing KOs, especially back then, but those guys did not need to be doing that shot to one another. It was interesting seeing the genesis of it and the back stage shit around it, and overall it was an interesting episode. Apparently Russo set it up because of a beef with JBL, whatever the case it was an interesting experiment. Sadly, aside from JBL, none of the participants really went anywhere after the tournament. It was cool/shocking to see Droz , seems pretty positive considering his situation, so that was cool. Another good episode, this season is going really well so far!
Side note, if you watched the Benoit episodes, Kevin Sullivan will be on the Jim Cornette Experience opening up about his involvement in the whole Benoit saga, might be interesting. I was never a Kevin Sullivan fan so I might pass on that, but it could be interesting.

I've started watching the History Channel's Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. Last season they did The Curse of Oak Island, which I actually live near and have seen in person numerous times. They needed workers to come in and help with the excavations and a few people from the plant went down and got hired on for weekend digs after signing NDA's and I think they can be seen in the backgrounds of a few episodes.
So when I heard they were doing a series on Skinwalker Ranch I was immediately interested. So far though only four episodes in and while interesting the show has started to bug me and it's pretty clear that a lot of it has been scripted out.
So Skinwalker Ranch is one of the most famous locations for paranormal and UFO activity in the US. The caretakers currently boast about how they can make paranormal activity start happening by simply disturbing the grounds, however they decided not to for 'safety' reasons because one guy got an inexplicable head injury and while filming got a headache reminiscent of the original injury he had before while working on the ranch, which made another guy in the crew break down in tears. Are you kidding me? The head of security on the ranch is nicknamed Dragon, but he's a pansy and the scientist on the team who has all sorts of experiments he wants to conduct isn't allowed to do most of them because they are afraid of disturbing the grounds. 4 episodes in and all they've done so far is show the ranch has unusual levels of radiation, likely from the Nevada nuclear bomb tests in the 40's and odd levels of electromagnetism, although they did film a UFO on site one day and find that one of the mesa's near the ranch is oddly reflective.
That's just so odd to me. You can make paranormal activity happen on the ranch by doing something as simple as digging a hole? You'd be able to make millions on having discernible, documented proof of the paranormal but you won't do it because some guy on the team got a headache and made another guy cry!!! ENRAGING!!!! Fuck, I'll do it!!! Get me a shovel and I'll go out there and dig all day until the cool shit starts happening.

Ancient Aliens did a recent episode on the ranch and I think they gave all the info thatās needed.

Yeah, they always leave it on a cliffhanger the ends up leading to nowhere.

I misread the first few instances as Skywalker Ranch and was slightly confused.

I caught more dark side of the ring, namely the Dino Bravo and Dr D David Schultz episodes. The Bravo one was a bit weak, it felt a little mailed in relative to the rest of the episodes, but it was still okay. Man the guys of that era certainly took their vitamins and said their prayers! š Bravoās story is kind of pathetic, top guy in the territory gets absorbed into the only show in town, gets repackaged and promptly tossed aside. Gets into shady black market shit to maintain the lifestyle he had in the business that decided it had no use for him anymore and pays for it. Sad downfall story that filled in the blanks (like what the hell was up with that horrid blond hair for one thing!).
The Dr D episode was great. Another old school, unapologetically crabby heel that fanatically practiced the religion of Kayfabe in and out of the ring. They go into detail about the slap(s) heard around the world, John Stossel is a greasy asshole who I have even less sympathy for after seeing this episode, but it was cool hearing his side. Dr D is pretty what you see is what you get, so I admire that, even if heās not the most likeable guy. Seeing this episode really pounds home that pro wrestling really does not have the same core meaning and composition as it did in Dr Dās era, those guys took shit SERIOUSLY, itās odd that the shift in values and itās āmission statementā happened in plain view of fans and I barely noticed it happen. Cool episode, still not at the new Jack episode level though! š
