UCSS Combat Zone: Lawton vs. Valdez Friday, January 4 2019, 8:00 PM (CT) at the Beltway Hippodrome in Washington DC Main Event Adrien Lawton(AAW) vs. Ricky "Violence" Valdez This match not only lived up to expectations, but served as an excellent showcase for both competitors. While Valdez may well have demonstrated more impressive boxing skills, Lawton answered with his more developed pro wrestling style, landing multiple suplexes, a top rope dive and the Rich Boy Facebuster, which was enough to put Valdez down for a hard earned ten count. While these two may not respect each other any more after this, both have absolutely raised their stock in the eyes of the fans. The Challenge Aoife Daley vs. Stanford Bradley Before this match, a message played from Stanford Bradley over the PA system. Stanford Bradley: Woah, woah, woah! Did you really think I was going to be there? Are you serious? No, I'm not lowering my standards to roll around in the ring with Phillips's leftovers! I mean, you're like a five out of ten compared to the dime pieces I pull on a regular basis! But, I did talk to Midas, and he thought that instead of me going out there, we had a better idea! So, Firecracker, you want to know what money can buy? Say hello to our little friend! Renate Barlowe, the South African Mercenary in Exile from Pan African Wrestling was indeed the replacement for Bradley, a fearsome change of opponent for Daley. The Irish Firecracker fought hard, though, working in the single collar tie, landing combinations and jumping kicks, and even after being bloodied by a foriegn object, she managed to inflict two nine counts on her foe. However, it was not to be in the end, as Barlowe completed a heel hook to win a hard fought contest. Non-Title Exhibition Bout Thiago Gracie vs. Jamie Tomasi Easily the best performance of Tomasi's career, as he fought an intelligent, methodical battle against his mentor, setting traps out of his guard and negated much of Gracie's armwork in the early going. It was not enough in the end, as Gracie won in his usual fashion, by the third round. Afterwards, the UCSS Openweight champion addressed his student: Thiago Gracie: You make good fight, boy, but no ready for black belt for Thiago Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Soon day will come! Standard Rules Tag Match The Limbtakers(Candace Monroe(Phoenix Rising) and Ruthless Nicole Alger) vs. Monochrome(Opaque(Santana Family Wrestling) and Yamikuro(PEWA) Monochrome may have fought well, but the Limbtakers were on a singular mission, and it showed. Candace Monroe and Ruthless Nicole Alger were in top notch form, with both women pushing the pace and keeping the match on their terms. While the match itself was excellent, it was the ending that was more memorable than anything, as RNA slapped on repeated Ruthless Armrippers, the last of which clearly injured Yamikuro's arm. However, even with the bell ringing and the match over, Alger went right back and reapplied the submission in a shocking turn of events. Jumbo Joseph Butt vs. Pit Scorpion(Independent) Joseph Butt landed some big bombs and even managed to do some damage from the bottom with his giant sized upkicks, but the Scorpion's superior ground game ended up winning him the match. Standard Rules Tag Match Gang Wong and Minerva Markovic vs. Anwar Omar(Pan African Wrestling) and Ong Daengsri Solid tag match with Minerva and Daengsri mostly avoiding each other until the final exchange in which the latter managed to hook in her leglock submission for the victory. Dangerous Nicholas Alger vs. Marcos Angulo A good opening bout with Alger expending too much energy too fast and Angulo capitalizing with a huge Wreckin' Ball knee and an overhead suplex for the win. --- Match of the Night: Aoife Daley vs. Renate Barlowe -While the main event was tremendous, the Gracie-Tomasi match exceeded expectations and the Limbtakers-Monochrome match was excellent, the surprise contest between Daley and Pan Africa's Barlowe ended up stealing the show with a heightened sense of drama. Performer of the Night: Candace Monroe and Ruthless Nicole Alger -A hyper aggressive showing from the Limbtakers against a pair of formidible opponents culminating in a destructive submission sequence from RNA made the younger Alger the Office's winner of the award. --- Injury Report: -Yamikuro: Hyperextended Elbow, one month medical suspension - The ghostly wrestler suffered what looked like a horrendous injury when Ruthless Nicole Alger wrenched her arm out of place with a Ruthless Armripper kimura variation. To compound matters, she applied it once again after the tap. Thankfully, Yamikuro did not suffer a more serious injury, despite appearences. --- Post show comments: Ricky "Violence" Valdez: (In Spanish) <Lawton can go screw himself! There! You wanted a word, that's my word for you, for him!> --- Renate Barlowe: Yes, I got paid for what I did. Morgan Matthews told me I could mention his name, so I will. He paid me, and told me to make an example out of the Irish girl. So I did that, and I earned my pay. I follow the money, like I always have. I am not part of Golden Touch Promotions, but I have no problem working for it. --- Aoife Daley was found backstage with a bandage wrapped around her head, and an unpleasant look on her face, blood still dried upon her unchanged top. She did not shun the backstage camera, though. Aoife Daley: When I catch Stanford Bradley, when I catch him, I will punch his face right off his skull! I will punch his skull so hard that it shatters and then I will punch the mush he calls a brain so hard that it makes the room look like modern art! And Renate Barlowe is one tough bitch, but she's still a bitch who is going to get what's coming to her! Give me time to prepare! And then you see what happens! Now move along, move along now! --- Thiago Gracie: Is good, is normal, the master is best, the student is good, but not good for beat the master. But some day the student become the master and have students of own. That is Jamie. He is student now, is good student, but is no ready yet. But he give good fight, and that makes for happy. Jamie Tomasi: I don't know if I'm frustrated that I lost, or if I'm thrilled I did so well. Felt like I was so close, but Thiago's so fast when he slaps that Perfect Jujigatame on, I can't do anything about it. Some day, I want to be that good, but it just feels like no matter how hard I try, I'm still so far away. Guess I just have to keep training... --- The camera eventually made its way to the Commissioner's staging area, outside of which Candace Monroe could be seen looking at her phone, while Ruthless Nicole Alger was inside, listening to her father. Dangerous Nicholas Alger: ...look, I'm proud, ok? Proud you did so well. It was great, you and Candace were the best I've seen. You tore them apart, both of you did! And you earned that win. But I can't let you off for what happened after. Nicole, that girl was hurt. Match was over. And you went right back at her. What's Senator Phillips going to say to me if I let you off the hook? The media? Ruthless Nicole Alger: They'll say that I'm not some little daddy's daughter. They'll say I'm not just a loser who can't win a title! They'll say Ruthless isn't just a name. It's what I am! DNA: I get that. You know I get that. But you can't be ruthless after the match. Doesn't work. Nobody wants to book that. RNA: Call up Phoenix Rising. Ask them if they want to stop booking me. People booked the Harbingers all over. AAW just brought a guy in who killed someone in the ring. Midas loves booking Colossus Rhodes. He almost killed that Sosa guy. DNA: So you want to be like them? RNA: No! I want to be me! I want to be better! Feared! Tougher! I want a shot at the Openweight! I want me and Candace to get another chance at tag belts! Is that too much? DNA: Ok, fine. First, you earned the Office's Performance of the Night. Tell Candace she's part of that, too. Congrats. But I can't give you a shot. Not after that. I'll tell you what. I have two problems. One's my daughter. One's that mercenary chick Midas threw on my show. Barlowe wants to come over here? I'm trusting you to teach her a lesson. And if you break her arm, go rebreak it again. Then you're the solution, not the problem. RNA: That...works.

The State of the Office A Message from the desk of Morgan Matthews: Morgan “Midas” Matthews: A new year means we all make our resolutions, whether we are rich or poor. Today, I want to make a few resolutions of my own. Yes, even a man like myself, with all my accomplishments and all of my earnings, can and must set goals for the new calendar! Midas: To take you all back, I go back to last January. While I am very rich, and travel in the upper sections of high society, I grew up as a fan of professional wrestling. And despite my success, I never stopped being a fan. So when I saw a new organization open up in Washington DC, headed by a notorious legislator, with great potential in its talent base, I thought that was a perfect opportunity to realize some old dreams. I figured that as Steve Phillips had put some impressive effort into talent scouting and a quality training staff, that what would take things to the next level would be a cash infusion and a direction to climb up the ladder of success. And that was exactly what I brought. He had the experience in the market, I had the experience with markets. I capitalized his venture, I set a road map, and we were off to the races! At least, that’s what I thought. Midas: You see, Senator Steve Phillips, despite his better qualities, is a very stubborn man. And he is a typical politician when you get past the combative stuff. He saw my money, and he took it. And he kept taking it, and took the Office in a very unprofitable nature. When I told him he needed to reach out more and become involved in the larger community, he did that, but instead of simply cooperating with other organizations, he decided that, being the type to want to control things, he would bring as many of them under his banner as possible. Midas: So let me give you my honest opinion of the entire Affiliate Network. PEWA - The Philadelphia Extreme Wrestling Alliance is not to my taste. It is not to the taste of anyone who has a refined taste at all. But it is profitable. In fact, it is the one sole only member of the Affiliate Network that could profitably stand on its own and grow within proper projections. So I allow it to stand as such. Biff Taylor is not a particularly good businessman, but he understands his market.
TIPWF - If I leave one other Affiliate to stand, this would be it. Yes, the Texas Independent Pro Wrestling Federation had some bad years, and fell into disrepair. But I am confident that it is now in better shape, and could consolidate our market share in an entire region. So while the TIPWF requires a lot of work, it also can stand.
UCSS - I’m not sure what to think of Universal Combat Shoot Style. Limited market, limited growth potential, but the workers would fight for literal peanuts and pocket change, and I own the newly built venue. At the moment, they remain for the purpose of selling tickets there. But that will only be a short term situation.
Wacker Drive Revival - A big team based roster for an organization run out of a club in Chicago? I’m fairly certain that the property taxes alone exceed the profits. If I have my way, I cut them loose, take the top third off the roster and move forward.
Lightning Pro - A decently run organization, with some excellent talent on the top and a good training program underneath. While I approve of a working relationship with them, the real truth is that it need not go any further than that. We do not need them as part of the Affiliate Network, we do not need to operate heavily in the Japanese market, other than for talent scouting and the occasional excursion.
Pan African Wrestling - Where do I start? To be blunt, this was a vanity project, the wrestling equivalent of “We are the World” and “Kumbaya” in a squared circle. This at most should have been a one off event, where we discovered talent, took them back to the States and called it a day. Certainly not a money sink of a tour, especially not a full-fledged organization of its own. Still, there were some quality discoveries from this project, and I would salvage them before cutting it outright.
Santana Family Wrestling - And if we need not deal in Africa, we also could make do without the Dominican Republic. These limited markets lack the short term growth potential to justify their continued existence in the Office. What I would do here, would be to fold Santana Family Wrestling into the TIPWF roster, cut the dross, stage a unification bout between Cowboy Johnston and Felix Santana Junior and allow the Santanas six shows a year in Santo Domingo under the TIPWF banner. This is simply a fed we have no use for otherwise.
Midas: As you can see, we are carrying a lot of dead weight, with our best talent spread out too far. There are too many companies that essentially work independently under the Office’s banner, receiving support from my own pocketbook and infrastructure. My resolution for 2019 is to bring this to an end. Business does best when it consolidates, when it uses its power to work towards greater goals, and that is what I want from the Office. Not to be a pond of small minnows, but a shark in the great ocean! Midas: And to accomplish all this, I have a second resolution: to take full control of the Senatorial Office and convert it into my own Golden Touch Promotions, full scale. At this point in time, Senator Phillips has become a liability, one which I will remove. He takes advantage of his position and engages in questionable behavior with the talent, you’ve all seen the pictures. He wastes money, time, effort. He must go. And I will make it my mission to see that it happens. Exciting times are coming soon, I promise you all that 2019 will be a year to remember!

The Rebuttal A message from Senator Steve Phillips
Senator Steve Phillips: On Monday of this week, my co-promoter and business partner Morgan “Midas” Matthews released what he entitled a “State of the Office” address to the public. In this statement, Mr. Matthews essentially declared war upon the Affiliate Network of the Senatorial Office. He stated his desire to reap the top talent from our Affiliates and pool them within a rebranded Office under his own direct, solitary control. As such, Mr. Matthews also took a number of shots at myself, wishing to depose me from my own organization and denigrating my decisions as co-promoter.
Senator: Mr. Matthews has had his word. Now I shall have mine. To begin, I will first compliment Mr. Matthews for the positive contributions which he has made towards the growth of the Office. His capital was invaluable in our mutual growth, his demands that we seek closer connections with what is now the Critical Alliance ended up benefiting all and he has managed to improve both the roster and the infrastructure of the Office, notably in the newly opened Beltway Hippodrome, a venue that will be of great value to the Office in the coming years.
Senator: But my laurels will end at that. Mr. Matthews, for all his success in the high powered realm of investments, has a serious deficit when it comes to the ground level of operations. He has interfered time and time again with the product in a negative way, the terrible injury of Salvador Sosa and atrocious handling of the Dominican Golden championship being one. He has attempted to micromanage the Affiliates in such a way as to undermine their individual leadership, through constant insults and unreasonable projections. There is a fundamental philosophical difference between what I believe in and what Mr. Matthews believes in.
Senator: The real strength of the Senatorial Office is not in my command. It is not in having an institution that homogenizes organizations around the world, nor is it in having a magnet that takes the top talent away from other regions and brings them to Washington DC. No, the real strength of the Senatorial Office is that while it provides a framework for cooperation, and a network that allows for a higher profile, it also allows each of the Affiliates to retain their own individual quirks and character. It gives opportunity without removing individual agency. This is my vision for the Office, and for professional wrestling. No other sport allows its athletes nearly as much expression. No other form of entertainment can allow for the duality of combat and community. This is what I stand for.
Senator: But this is the absolute antithesis of what Mr. Matthews wishes for. He plays the politics of personal destruction…but I am still standing here! I have seen the numbers, and they are not nearly as skewed as he states. And I am not ashamed of my relationship with Miss Daley, no matter what your impertinent lackeys might believe. He wants to destroy anything within his grasp that does not bow before his vision.
Senator: But I have spoken to many since yesterday. Cowboy Johnston refuses to engage in any action that diminishes Santana Family Wrestling. The Number One Ranked Jean-Pierre Mutombo and Pan African promoter Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi stated that they will leave the Office with their entire roster should you terminate PAW. Big Robert Montgomery has told me that Wacker Drive Revival is in superb financial shape, with or without Office involvement. I expand my breath on these notes simply to express that the State of the Office is much more sound, much more successful, much more profitable than you ever made it out to be, Midas!
Senator: And as such, I wish to finish my rebuttal here on these closing words. Morgan “Midas” Matthews. You declared war on my Office and on my own person. You believe we will roll over for you, as so many businesses did in the past when you inserted your insidious claws into their operations, eroding them from within, such as a parasitic wasp does to its prey once it lays its larvae inside. This ends here! Do you wish to do battle within the ring? I will gladly stand alongside my own against anyone you wish to bring against us! We have a contract, but should you wish to break it, the Office will be more than sufficient without your support! And if you again attempt to meddle within my own personal life, I promise that will not again be done with impunity! The Office stands. The Affiliate Network stands. And in spite of your vile machinations, we all stand together, and that, Midas, is nothing…but the truth.

With all the drama up top, it might be hard to believe that business carries on as usual within the Office, and as such, the Texas Independent Pro Wrestling Federation has a scheduled event for this Friday, featuring a TIPWF Lone Star Trios championship match and multiple matches involving Santana Family Wrestling talent. Despite the statements from Morgan "Midas" Matthews, it appears that the two organizations remain friendly working partners.
TIPWF: Rasslin Roundup Friday, January 11, after ZIP Japan, at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX
TIWPF Lone Star Trios Title Bout The Exotico World Order (c)(Vice Versa, Valentina Verda and Martina Martinez) vs. Neon Knights (Supernaut, Holy Diver, Hija de Holy Diver) The EWO has a tough challenge on its hands as the Neon Knights, fresh off losing their PEWA Extreme Tag titles head back home to the TIPWF, and now bring the daughter of Holy Diver along to vie for the Trios belts.
Hailey Comet vs. "White Hot" Rei Hasegawa(Lightning Pro) En route to an extended excursion with Phoenix Rising's Blackwood Academy, Rei Hasegawa will make her stateside debut against an accomplished, dangerous opponent in Hailey Comet. While Hasegawa was able to bypass the L-Pro dojo in a year's time, she might find herself regretting doing so if Comet turns up the pace.
Lil Lariato vs. Killer King Jones(Santana Family Wrestling) Lariato has announced that at the next Lariats and Legislators, he will again look to defeat Cowboy Johnston for his TIPWF Lone Star Championship. He personally requested this match in the meantime, against the returning Killer King Jones, back from an injury sustained during the Pan African Tour. Jones has a storied history, dating back to his PEWA days, and while he might be on the downswing of his career, can still spill the blood when things get rough.
The Blue Collar Brawlers (The Everyman and "Long Haul" Lenny Broadway) vs. Gunny Lee Hart and Walt Callahan Two of the toughest, nastiest members of the Old Guard take on the always-ready Blue Collar Brawlers in this matchup. While the Brawlers have a size and youth advantage, Hart and Callahan's stubborn approach might make this a difficult match for them. Callahan, the Commissioner of the TIPWF, has offered a challenge for the TIPWF Old Guard Champion Mr. Nobunaga, but may have to wait some time for his title bout.
Misterio Guerrero vs. Jimmy Jack Walker The strength and agility of Guerrero may make him a betting favorite in this one, but the unorthodox, unpredictable style of the Drunken Master of Redneck-Fu may well give Walker the edge when it's all said and done. As with many of Walker's matches, a reliable prognostication will not be had here.
Rodeo Angel vs. Princesa Torbellina (Santana Family Wrestling) Two of the most promising young women in the Senatorial Office match up here, with the Rodeo Angel's quick submission game going up against Princessa Torbellina's dangerous speed on the attack.

World Wrestling Daily Digest is proud to announce a partnership with one of the most influential names in wrestling journalism, “Digital” Dave Doolittle. We believe that by combining Digital Dave’s authoritative reporting and match ratings with our own essential take on the industry will give the fans an enhanced view on the world of professional wrestling. And for his first contribution, Digital Dave interviews “White Hot” Rei Hasegawa, Lightning Pro’s rookie sensation. - “Digital” Dave Doolittle: Known for his Ring Beholder newsletter, and his infamous, ubiquitous percent based match ratings, both founded in 1989, Digital Dave has been the target of much controversy over the years, with fans, wrestlers and promoters alike taking aim at said ratings. Fluent in Spanish and Japanese, he has however also been the source of much insider information and remains one of the top journalists in the world of combat sports. White Hot! Rei Hasegawa Primed to Ignite the Wrestling World!By “Digital” Dave Doolittle I would like to first thank World Wrestling Daily Digest for bringing me on board here, a move that combines my legendary status with W.W.D.D.’s own no-holds-barred approach is a match made in Valhalla. And my first move here is to draw attention to someone I think is going to be one of the biggest names in wrestling before long, Rei Hasegawa. Here’s my essential interview, conducted a week ago in Kyoto, translated from Japanese, which the die-hard fans know I am fluent in: Digital Dave: <Rei, it’s a pleasure to host this interview here. How have things been in Lightning Pro?> Rei Hasegawa: <They have been well, thank you very much, Mr. Doolittle. I have fully expected that the quality of my upbringing was more than enough to have placed me above the other people in the Dojo, and I believe I have not been mistaken.> Dave: <So you think you’re headed towards big things?> Rei: <No, Mr. Doolittle, I believe I am already doing “big things” right now.> Dave: <Can you tell us about these accomplishments?> Rei: <First, I have started my own association of admirers from the Lightning Pro Dojo. You will be introduced to them in the upcoming weeks. Even someone as important and talented as myself must have support from time to time. Next, I have reluctantly agreed to travel across the Pacific to the land of America, where I will appear for the Texas organization in the Senatorial Office, and I will join up with Phoenix Rising’s academy for women wrestlers.> Dave: <You sound...less excited about those last two endeavors.> Rei: <Forgive me if I sound that way, but I would rather be in my own homeland, where I will make my career, not spending any extra time attempting to “learn” elsewhere. But on the positive side, anywhere I go, everyone cannot help but be my fan, so I am gaining a lot of extra support by doing this!> Dave: <Your opponent on next Friday is Hailey Comet, do you have any opinion on her?> Rei: <I have heard that she is one of the best wrestlers in Texas, but aside from that, I do not watch videos of my opponents, I leave that sort of preparation to lesser people. If she is good, we will have a 90% match at least, am I wrong?> Dave: <Rei, I never let anyone influence my ratings, no matter who they are.> Rei: <Could you not tell the difference between a joke and a serious statement? Anyway, I wish to say that while I will be gracing the United States with my presence, it will not be too long before I am back in Kyoto, where I belong, and where I am going to eventually become the winner of the Victorious Medal. Thank you for speaking with me.>

RESULTS TIPWF: Rasslin Roundup Friday, January 11, after ZIP Japan, at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX TIWPF Lone Star Trios Title Bout The Exotico World Order (c)(Vice Versa, Valentina Verda and Martina Martinez) vs. Neon Knights (Supernaut, Holy Diver, Hija de Holy Diver) After losing the PEWA Extreme Tag titles, the Neon Knights were on a mission, along with Hija de Holy Diver. They managed to negate the mind games and technical skills of the EWO, and Supernaut reminded everyone watching why the Knights are the #1 Tag Ranked team in the Office with a spectacular Spiral Architect on Martinez to take the win, and the TIPWF Lone Star Trios belts. Hailey Comet vs. "White Hot" Rei Hasegawa(Lightning Pro) Rei Hasegawa did not do terribly in her first match in America, landing several calf branding facebusters and looking for the flash pin on multiple occasions. This was not enough against an opponent at the calibur of Hailey Comet, who pulled off the victory by way of an impressive Exploding Southern Star Press. Lil Lariato vs. Killer King Jones(Santana Family Wrestling) Despite the size difference and the fearsome reputation of Jones, Lariato was on a mission here, and spent just over thirteen minutes landing his trademark attack, utterly demolishing the PEWA Original with his lariats en route to the easiest victory on the card. The Blue Collar Brawlers (The Everyman and "Long Haul" Lenny Broadway) vs. Gunny Lee Hart and Walt Callahan Everyman and Broadway were heavy favorites in this match, but had to work every moment of it to find success, a frustrating enough process that Broadway "peaced out" at one point against Gunny Lee, as he went to tag out. In the end, though, the Brawlers came away with the victory when the Everyman used his Working Class Facelock against Gunny. Misterio Guerrero vs. Jimmy Jack Walker A top quality matchup with Walker and Guerrero both fighting at the best of their abilities, Guerrero's rare athleticism and Walker's erratic toughness combining to place the two men in an extended stalemate, neither able to grab the victory in conventional fashion. However, a thunderous Drunk Driver from Walker erased Guerrero from the world of the waking and handed the Drunken Master of Redneck-Fu a massive win. Rodeo Angel vs. Princesa Torbellina (Santana Family Wrestling) A solid opening bout between two of the Office's best young lucha ladies. Rodeo Angel was in rare form, stealing her foe's Hiperciclon finisher and eventually earning the submission victory with her Rodeo Stretch. --- Match of the Night: The EWO vs. The Neon Knights -Quick pace, interesting matchups, and everyone getting their shots in made for a great six person tag. Performer of the Night: "Long Haul" Lenny Broadway -Maybe the most undeserved PotN to date, but it can't be helped. Broadway's signature tag out got him this, along with a solid contribution in a winning effort. --- Injury Report: Misterio Guerrero - Concussion - Two month suspension. Guerrero was spiked on his head with a Drunk Driver from Jimmy Jack Walker, and did not walk back afterwards on his own power. Unfortunately, it looks like he will miss a good deal of time to recover from the brutal head drop.

I'm feeling a tad bit ambitious here. I'm already running All-Time Boxing #3 this Friday. ATB shows run fast, generally under a half hour. And if I'm going to stream, I might as well do a full run of it. So as such, here's a Lightning Pro card, to be aired directly after ATB #3: --- Lightning Pro is opening up their 2019 seasonal tour with an interesting show in their home venue of the Kyoto Central Gymnasium. Of note, G.P. Christopher is now demanding that he appears in every opening bout for L-Pro going forward, and additionally demanded that the opening match is now titled the "Preliminary Main Event," a strange request that L-Pro Chairman Shima Ito surprisingly agreed to. AAW long term prospect Simba Mufasa and the previously injured SFW standout Diego Santana both appear on the card as well. --- Lightning Strike in Kyoto! (1-18-2019)Friday, January 18 after All Time Boxing #3 at the Kyoto Central Gymnasium in Kyoto, Japan Main Event Nishimura Endo and ALEXANDER vs. Crusher Honda and Wrecker YamamotoA tension filled main event is promised in this tag match, as champion Endo teams with the aspiring Conquering Ace, ALEXANDER to face off against the Destructive Duo of Honda and Yamamoto. It's doubtful that all four leave this ring intact. Dean Bardo vs. Eiji "Jay" SatoThe Professional dresses up to take on the Bebop Tiger in this one, and suplexes will be guaranteed, with Bardo's veteran experience matching up with the Jazz trumpeter's well-rounded excellence. Diego Santana(Santana Family Wrestling), Simba Mufasa(AAW) and Ayako Miyamoto vs. Tarkhan the Mangler, Super Grey Machine and Yuriko MasamuneAn impressive six person tag match with the #1 contender, Tarkhan going to battle with the Super Grey Machine and Yuriko Masamune in tow, while outsiders Santana and Mufasa team with Ayako Miyamoto. Diego Santana has toured with L-Pro in the past, and Simba Mufasa continues his learning excursion across the Senatorial Office. Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. The Outlaw, Sam HallGPC got his way, and now wrestles in the Preliminary Main Event against The Outlaw. Hall has a reputation for being obstinate on his best day, and it will be a likely, but welcome challenge for Christopher to impress the crowd with this one.

World Wrestling Daily Digest is the only place you can hear from my top notch reporting, from the five decades of experience of Maxwell McNally, from the frontline knowledge of “Fast” Eddie Edison and now, from the biggest name in wrestling journalism since 1989, “Digital” Dave Doolittle. You all know that you get this for the low price of $3.99 a month, and let anyone who isn’t in yet that you can get two months free if you sign up now! Digital Dave Doolittle: That’s right, Kevin, we’re giving you the deal of a lifetime. Nobody else has full access to my exclusively sourced rumors and a full archive of my essential match ratings. Nobody else can give you our world famous scouting report database. Nobody else gives you a key to the backstage, to the boardroom like we do. “Fast” Eddie Edison: But we’re here today to give you our opinions on one of the biggest stories in the Critical Alliance. The issues between Senator Steve Phillips and Morgan “Midas” Matthews have been ongoing for a year now, but lately, they’ve taken this to a new level. Business Talk Maxwell McNally: As someone who’s personally known Senator Phillips for many years, I do not believe I have seen him quite this perturbed in at least a decade’s time. He clearly sees Midas Matthews as a threat, not just to his company, but to his entire way of seeing the wrestling industry.
Kevin: How is that so, Maxwell? Because from where I stand, this is just a business issue, with the two looking to control the Senatorial Office and its future direction, more than anything else.
Maxwell: I think this comes down to his view that he genuinely wants to support regionalism and individualism in the business, and thinks that everyone benefits when there are more options and less control coming from, what I believe he thinks are entities that are too powerful for their own good.
Fast Eddie: But isn’t the Office getting pretty big in its own right? I think there’s the old saying, Maxie, about absolute power and what it does. Doesn’t that also apply to Phillips?
Maxwell: Perhaps so, although I am somewhat inclined to believe that he is too self-aware of those pitfalls to become entirely consumed by them.
Digital Dave: I see us all painting Midas in a negative light. But what if I play the contrarian and say that I think he’s going to be better for things?
Kevin: Let’s hear an explanation on that one, Dave, with all your information, you might have a better insight on this.
Digital Dave: What I see is that Midas is a businessman who’s done some big time things in investments. He knows what he’s doing in running a company. And maybe he sees profits and costs a bit more clearly than Senator Phillips. The Senator knows wrestling, and he has his legislative background. But that doesn’t mean he’s able to grow the Office well in a business sense. So if Midas takes over, the fans might complain with some of his moves, and some of the Affiliates might have issues. But in the long run, he might make the Office more sustainable and profitable in a business sense. It’s all about money in the end.
Kevin: But what about the Affiliates that Midas publically said he would either raid for their top talent or entirely defund? The IWC demands that I ask the hard hitting questions, and if I had the chance, this is one that must be asked right up to the top.
Digital Dave: If they’re not able to stand on their own, then they get what they deserve. But I don’t think that’s necessarily the case.
Maxwell: If I may interrupt here, I wish to state that Midas has shown far too often that his ethos are not compatible with what we all would prefer to see.
Fast Eddie: Personally, Maxie, I’d like to see AAW have a chance to swipe a few big names from the Office, like Ricky Valdez, Mr. Moonsault, Tomas…but never mind, carry on…
Maxwell: As I was saying before my former broadcast colleague intervened, I find that Midas does not just play favorites, but goes well out of his way to harm anyone who he does not pick as one of his preferred, chosen few. And it is not true that he is seen even in the business community that he is a crass, ostentatious flaunter of conspicuous wealth, but also has a habit of leaving his companies in worse shape after he turns his attention to the next investment target? Perhaps we should be observing these patterns before we rush to speak of his financial wisdom.
Lariats and Legislators #7 Kevin: As interesting as this discussion has been so far, I think we still have some important points to discuss. And I want to talk about what comes up next with this. Dave, you have some rumors you’d like to reveal here?
Digital Dave: Yes, Kevin. My sources tell me that a Lariats and Legislators event will be coming up soon. And on that card, there’s talk that while the main event will be a #1 Ranking bout between Jean-Pierre Mutombo and Tomas, the co-main event will be a Dominican Golden Championship match with Felix Santana Junior defending against both Colossus Rhodes and Julio Rivera, but with Senator Steve Phillips by his side.
Kevin: Let me get this straight, a singles title defended in a tag match?
Digital Dave: Yes, if either of the Golden Touch team pin Santana, he loses his belt to them. That’s what my sources tell me. So yes, singles title defended in a tag match. But the real thing here is that it’s a proxy war for Midas.
Maxwell: That does make sense to me. Midas once put a bounty out on Senator Phillips, and I see no reason why that would now be rescinded. So if Rhodes injures him, then that benefits Midas. If Rhodes injures Felix Junior badly enough, perhaps that could be enough to move further towards the dissolution of Santana Family Wrestling as its own entity. But if Felix successfully defends, then he can take control back over his title, which has not been the case ever since Colossus Rhodes made his debut.
Fast Eddie: Forget all that stuff, I’m interested in seeing the Money Man Adrien Lawton, and if Pan African Champion Mohammad Rameses answers his challenge! That’s going to be an amazing match, Lawton beat Violence Valdez by outwrestling him, but can he beat a full on pharaoh? That’s the match I want to see.

Lovelovelove seeing how you flesh things out, Sen. Especially considering you don't stream on a "regular" basis. It's encouraging in a way, really. I appreciate that you show you don't need to simply stream with a regular schedule and can flesh things out in different ways. And your edits are so good and shows so fun that you get a really great number of viewers to your stream anyway. It's awesome. That isn't knocking regular streams at all. It's just rad to know that people can do stuff their own way and do whatever works for them and use their strengths to promote their work and have a receptive audience.
Really looking forward to L&L7 and hopefully being able to catch it live as it's been a delight getting back into the community and your shows are always fun.
Also big props for, as always, involving the rest of the community in the Office's ongoing drama. Excited to see how evertything with Midas plays out.

I fully agree that there's a ton of ways one can do this thing, and the best part is that we have some tremendous regular streams like AAW and Phoenix Rising on Mondays, the bi-weekly ZIP extravaganzas, Tuesdays with Blackrose and so on(not trying to leave anyone out). Then you have stuff like the Dawnstreams, Geese's unique style, Warrior Pro, Zealot's universe, Splucha, etc, etc. And I hope you can get SHTCWA(big A, now) back rolling again sooner than later, doing it in a way that makes sense for how you want to tell your stories, while fitting it around your life. With your focused design sense and some of the ideas that have to be pushing those fed revamps, I'm guessing we'll be in for a wild ride when you do unleash it. To add, THE thing that makes all these different styles work is the community itself. Sure, lots of us would still run our own little private feds here and there, but having an interactive audience makes things so much more worthwhile(unless you're Cassandra Marshall), and motivates me for sure to stay consistent. And it's a blast to follow everything that everyone else is doing.

RESULTS Lightning Strike in Kyoto! (1-18-2019) Friday, January 18 after All Time Boxing #3 at the Kyoto Central Gymnasium in Kyoto, Japan Jean-Pierre Mutombo(Pan African Wrestling) vs. Koji Sawada Koji Sawada was called to the ring after the main event, and was given an overwhelming surprise. Making a surprise appearence, and debuting his new "Man of Unity" attire, Office #1 Ranked competitor, Jean-Pierre Mutombo utterly obliterated his young lion opponent in one of the most one sided matches in Office history. Main Event Nishimura Endo and ALEXANDER vs. Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto All four competitors came to fight in this one, with few frequent tags early on, and Yamamoto showing her cruel skillset in weakening her foes' necks. Honda had a few flashes of her peak form, but was neutralized by Endo's thunderous chops. In the end, ALEXANDER was the difference maker, hitting a spinning tombstone and his trademark Gordian Drop on Wrecker to win the match. Dean Bardo vs. Eiji "Jay" Sato This match started out as a grounded mat wrestling exchange with Bardo controlling the pace, but Sato eventually shifted into the next gear, landing top rope attacks and big dropkicks. This then led to an extended phase, cirling the outside of the ring, with Bardo hitting successive backdrop drivers and a cobra clutch suplex on the unforgiving floor. Back in the ring, however, the Bebop Tiger picked up the ring with a vicious double knee drop to the back of the head. Stupendous encounter that was underrated by Digital Dave. Diego Santana(Santana Family Wrestling), Simba Mufasa(AAW) and Ayako Miyamoto vs. Tarkhan the Mangler, Super Grey Machine and Yuriko Masamune A solid showing from all participants and the returning Diego Santana looked to be on the way towards rebuilding his reputation after returning from injury...until the Super Grey Machine put him right back on the injured list with a deadlift German. Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. The Outlaw, Sam Hall GPC used the Preliminary Main Event to showcase his diverse skillset, and also to demolish Sam Hall with a disgustingly harsh Destiny Driver. --- Match of the Night: Dean Bardo vs Eiji Sato -The penultimate scheduled match ended up being the best of the night as both suplex experts tested each other across the course of an excellent competition. Performer of the Night: ALEXANDER -An emphatic fall scored on Wrecker Yamamoto gave the Aspiring Conquerer a big boost in his standing. Injury Report -Sam Hall: Whiplash, no medical suspension - While Hall took a dangerous looking head drop thanks to G.P. Christopher, it appears that it was only a minor injury at worst, and the Outlaw will be able to compete as soon as necessary. -Diego Santana: Dislocated shoulder, recommended one month suspension at minimum - The Cool Flame cannot find any luck, as he again sees himself on medical suspension, following a German suplex from Super Grey Machine. (On an additional note, thanks again to everyone who was able to make it out for both Lightning Pro and the preceding All Time Boxing event!)
