Firehawk paid for the domain name a couple of hours ago as of my post here. It should be paid for through the next two years. We're not really sure why it didn't work before, even after we thought it was paid for. The main criticalclub.com site is working again for me. I checked a few hours ago and it was fine again 😎 Thanks very much to Firehawk and the team for keeping things running here!! 😁 The site continues to throw a false-positive when using MalwareBytes, so be aware of that. That's strange. Was it doing that before the outage?

That's strange. Was it doing that before the outage? Yeah, ever since I reinstalled MalwareBytes a few months ago, at least. I have no idea if it was doing before then for anyone else. There might be something in the ads that Probooards runs. I have an ad blocker, among other things, running to keep those from running in my browser. Most people should, tbh.

Yeah, really good call, I bet some of the ads are partially responsible. Maybe some of the content on other specific boards could be causing Proboards as a whole to be doubted as safe? My adblocker has been working recently on the Proboards sites (including my own feds) but a few months ago seemed to only catch some of them. I had to train it to find some of the (rather obvious) ads it missed. Like come on adblocker bro (adbroker? 🤔) , if something on my boards are flashing colors and cycling rapidly through pics, it ain't my long-winded writing 😁

I pay for the domain, not Firehawk lol.
As far as I can tell the domain auto-renewed and I paid another year thinking it had lapsed so it's paid up until 2026.
As far as the outage goes, I'm thinking all of it was on Proboards' end. It fixed itself I didn't mess with the settings of the domain, it wouldn't let me during the outage.
Great job from everybody here, I haven't done much Fire Pro related in a year now. But I'm amazed how far people are going with the game you know, edits with custom EVERYTHING, that was the dream for decades.
Oh and Geese is still here, that's amazing. The end of civilization will come and there will be Geese left trying to find surviving Fire Pro loving mutants to interact with.

Thanks for paying to keep things going!! 😁 Great job from everybody here, I haven't done much Fire Pro related in a year now. But I'm amazed how far people are going with the game you know, edits with custom EVERYTHING, that was the dream for decades. Me too! I think the FP series is at its height of creative potential right now, only held back by the limits of the game's coding which leads to crashes and forces occasional us to be overly selective. Between the Workshop, mods, and people just putting their best into FPW, it's really an amazing time to be a fan. I just wish that some of the fans over the years got to experience this in their community primes. Many of us were most into FP at a time when we had more time and energy. It almost feels wasted on FPD/FPR. I would have loved to have seen what the 2005-2010 era community could have done with FPW. Oh and Geese is still here, that's amazing. It's great to see you, Phil! 😁 The end of civilization will come and there will be Geese left trying to find surviving Fire Pro loving mutants to interact with. I was initially planning the post-apocalyptic world tour as well (a little "Kung Fu" mixed with "Mad Max") but I think I'm too lazy for that. So my current plan is to become radioactive and merge with a tree. Then "people" can circle around and ask stories about the longlongago when we had to transfer edits via nexus cards.

I don't generally poke my head outside of my little fed-bubble, because I'm not a confrontational person by nature. I take things easy, I don't wanna get into it with anyone, as I'm sure most of the people in the community feel the same way. But I wanna at least speak up real quick, not to go flaunting around or anything, I just want to set things straight on how my part in this whole thing played out.
So yeah, the primary criticalclub.com domain was up for renewal. And there was some kind of issue with renewing it, as I understand. Like it was renewed but not re-directing properly, or something along those lines.
The thing's always been pretty well handled by other people up to this point, so I didn't really worry about it until the situation went on for about a week after we figured it was done. Eventually I learn that in the Proboards admin panel there's an "Upgrades" category, that has the custom domain thing as a part of it, and basically the mod team kinda got together and requested someone pop in and just fire off through that.
So I say "yeah, I got it, I'll toss in two years for good measure". I throw in the $40, within minutes the domain's back up and running again. Figure, no problem, we're back and good and everything's fine.
I don't know anything past that. That's my part in this. I don't want to come in going and taking credit for things because, I mean... I don't really care how the domain comes back up, as long as it's working for everyone. I just happened to be the one on the mod team that poked in and looked at it.
Tried to find the best way to close out and all I know is my battery's pretty well drained out just mustering up the will to post something, so yeah.

To clarify, there's the domain (that Phil owns) and there's an annual fee Proboards charges for the right to use the domain. I usually pay the fee but couldn't this year, so Hawk did.

Anyone use Rumble? The alternative site to Youtube that seems to be gaining popularity. I only ask because I'd like to post up all the old wrestling MV's I saved off old message boards decades ago through megaupload. Back in the early 2000's I had a youtube channel with them all posted up and one day I got a message from youtube telling me all my content had been blocked and my account was being terminated with no notice or warning or response to my e-mail. Worst part is when they terminated my account I lost everything I was subscribed to and even had to create a new e-mail just to create a new account.
I'm not even going to try posting them up on youtube again even though they seem to be more lenient on people putting up wrestling music videos now, but I thought I might try Rumble as it would be a shame for some of these classics to disappear forever.

Because of YouTube's censorship, a lot of conservatives like Rumble, so if you have TDS you'd hate it. I think Rumble's policies are way more lenient, but I never used it myself.
Is Dailymotion still a thing? When I last looked, there was a ton of wrestling content.
