Original Resident Evil actors for Chris, Barry and Wesker reunite back in June.

Apparently it was to work on a Resident Evil short film.

Started working on a WWE 2k19 version of Vulcan Vesuvius fourskulls to use for a render for the Alliance Rising main event match-up screen: I'm gonna process and edit the hell out of it in photoshop so his skin looks like molten lava :)

Probably too late by the time anyone reads this, but Criterion is having a 24 hour, 50% off of in stock items sale. I got excited because they have some amazing shit in their catalog (I was looking at Last Hurrah for Chivalry, Throw Down, and the original Zatoichi collection that would have been nice, but at $100, was too much for right now.). I checked to see what the exchange rate would be, then saw that shipping was a flat $23 USD plus duty, so I shit canned the whole order. For you guys in the US, this is probably great, so have a look if you’re interested! www.criterion.com/

Hnnngh I've been eyeing that Zatoichi collection for years but I just can't justify the expense right this second.

If you're a Warhammer 40k fan, big news just dropped for the lore. A second Primarch has returned.
Lion El'Johson and Roboute Guilliman now back in play.

I’ve been reading the 1937 pro wrestling tell all Fall Guys: Barnums of Bounce by Marcus Griffin. It definitely reads like something from that era, and I can’t help but hear the old timey voices on crackly microphones of guys in suspenders and really high waisted pants. It’s not a deep dive, but it covers the early history in a succinct way, and talks about what are now historical figures as current “bone breakers” and “meat tossers”. Very entertaining stuff, and an interesting peeling back of Kayfabe in an era such activity could get someone killed. I went on a tangent after seeing the mention of the name James Figg. I have no idea how I’ve never heard of this guy before, and I thought perhaps some people here might find him to be an interesting character (If you haven’t already heard of him). Here’s a link below, what a guy! www.thevintagenews.com/2019/04/27/james-figg/?ios=1&safari=1Bad ass obituary, too! Last Saturday there was a Trial of Skill between the unconquered Hero, Death, on the one side and till then the unconquered Hero, Mr James Figg, the famous Prize-Fighter and Master of the Noble Science of Defence on the other. The Battle was most obstinately fought on both sides, but at last the former obtained an Entire Victory and the latter tho’ he was obliged to submit to a Superior Foe yet fearless and with Disdain he retired and that Evening expired at his house in Oxford Road.

Oh wow, someone finally did a retrospective on the Nth Man comic. One of the first comics I ever collected, but it was cancelled and its initial 24 issue run was truncated to 16 issues.

Kind of an out of place thing around here, but I’ve been following this story for a long time now, and it looks as though the estate of Henrietta Lacks has settled with the distributor of the HeLa immortal cell line Thermo Fischer. It’s nice to see the family get some money after all of this time, I’d love to see some sort of tribute to this woman to recognize all of the advances made using the cell line derived from her cervical tumour. It’s a sad but interesting story, many of you likely know all about it, but here’s a couple of links that summarize the story and the amazing significance of the cell line derived (without patient knowledge or consent at the time) from Mrs Lacks. www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zv6cydmscience.howstuffworks.com/life/cellular-microscopic/hela-cell.htm

Weirdness. At work now, came into the break room for break and see I have a missed phone call from Alloa Scotland. I don’t know anyone in Scotland let alone Europe but the location seems familiar to me. I do a quick google search and realize Alloa Scotland is where Hyperfocus Games is located… 😯
