I saw an ad earlier for something called Healthy Wage, which is apparently a site where you can win money through gambling about losing weight.
It's just, can that concept get any more American?

Too true. Recently at work we were doing a roster check of all the salary positions and we noticed that most of our management are sons, daughters, nieces, nephews and cousins of higher up management. Ironically when I started with the company I had two uncles working there and I couldn't even get passed the application exam my first several times, but that's because they weren't management I guess. When I started I was there three months before either of them knew I was even working there.
Back in the 1990's before my time there, the nepotism bloat among management was so bad the head office sent a guy in and interviewed every single salary person and asked them one thing: "What is your job here?" If they couldn't come up with a satisfactory answer they were told they could clean out their office and to leave. The bag-lickers who kissed ass and sucked up to get into management were given the option to go back to production or get out. The old guys I work with still talk about that day with a cathartic fondness. Lots of tears and people walking out to their cars with boxes of personal items. I personally think it might be time for that guy to make a return visit and clean house again.
It's very reassuring when one of our higher ups who has had numerous grievances and complaints put against him now has his son in law running the human resources department.

I mean without that river, they aren't much of a country so I give them a pass over Namibia's Caprivi Strip. That is a mess. Germans extended that borber because they wanted to use the Zambezi river to get to the other side of the continent, but hit a waterfall. All while claiming the land around and through multiple cultures, tribes, and languages.
European empire was so messy.
