 I made some custom crowd members as well as some inanimate objects for the new dynamic crowds mod. Then I lazily slapped together that crappy comic strip to showcase some of them. And now I'm gonna put a link below where you can download them. Just like this.It's all a WIP, so while some of them - like the blackshirted clapping man - are quite nicely done, some of the others - like the empty seat reserved by a velvet rope - are rather janky indeed. Maybe I fix, maybe I don't. OMG this is incredible!!!!! 🏆😎👍 My favorite is the dude with the parrot on his shoulder!! Also loved the velvet roped off seat, the pizzas, and the random (unsettling) marionette and teddy bear! (will the teddy bear buy a stuffed human from the merch booth!?). How long did it take to make the custom crowd members? This is such a great thread too. I missed out on seeing the Heaven arena and the awesome Hotel de la Lucha until now but love it. |

It actually isn't too hard to make the crowd members, at least the way I was making them. The stationary objects in particular are super easy (which is why I made so many of them), like maybe a minute or two to make each one, the hard part being finding a nice picture from a usable perspective. For the animated members of the crowd I just made edits, gave them taunts that'd work for fans in a crowd, and then used the green screen mod and the paused match frame-by-frame thingy thang to get five consecutive frames of them doing their motions. So a bit more complicated, but still not very hard at all, and the way the crowd animates it plays the frames in order from 1 to 5, then back down from 5 to 1, back and forth, so its really forgiving and you don't need to work very hard to get a decent looking animation. |

Yeah, if the angle is weird, they won't look right in the crowd. Or they'll look intentionally funny! Also, you gotta have at least one dude staring at his cell phone (or looking back and forth from his phone to the ring) the whole night or else its not a live sporting event in 2019! The dynamic crowds are a lot of fun, especially once you've made a bunch of members for it and collected other people's guys and have a good number for the crowds to be generated from. Then you never know who's gonna end up in your audience, and sometimes I'm so distracted by funny pairings in the crowd (i.e. turrible666's masturbating fan wanking next to a pile of pizzas) and what not that I totally forget to watch the match. |
