Figure I might as well start an official Ultra Pro Wrestling thread.
The Dev just released his 11th open Q&A and made the announcement of another wrestler who will be joining the roster as a DLC character so I might as well make an official repository of information. The dev says he will also be announcing another wrestler as DLC every two weeks and says there are a lot of wrestlers who he has been in contact with interested in being a part of Ultra Pro Wrestling.
The Q&A's so far in order:
Default Roster will include 100 all original fictional wrestlers conceptualized by artist Hal Haney and will be divided into several fictionalized promotions.

The new graphics engine and game play is supposed to be shown off August 26th in a new trailer. Dev hoping to have a 1vs1 demo build available to play at the end of 2023. Full game is scheduled to release Holiday season of 2024 on all platforms.
EDIT: Dev has confirmed there are 30 DLC wrestlers that will appear in the game and expects more to be added. |

I began dissecting the roster likenesses a few months back, during Ultra's initial kickstarter stages.
It's nice to see an official website with an expanded roster in the works. I can't wait to take a deeper look at the full set closer to completion.

Arn Anderson announced today as the next confirmed Free Agent DLC. They've also got the license to use his Four Horseman theme music.

This is looking so good so far. I hope they don’t go too crazy and lose the path, keep things simple, stick to wrestling so we finally get a game with the spirit of the old AKI games. Thanks for updating again! 😁

I love seeing AKI alumni showing up in the game. Would be nice to see Manami Toyota as Black Widow from WCW vs NWO World Tour show up, but I'm sure when the game comes out someone will be porting over all the original AKI run guys into the game with the CAW mode.
I fully admit I will also probably be making CAWs to some familiar sounds just for nostalgia sake.
This song looped so much in my house for all the hours I spent making CAWs that it actually broke my father one night and sent him into a fit of rage and I had to make CAWs with the sound off. I actually played this song for him again a few years ago to see what would happen and he didn't remember what it was from or why it enraged him, but he told me to turn it off immediately.
