I probably will, (I'm waiting on the PS4 version) as quite a few of my FPR Edits (Warrior, Bulldog, etc.) made use of the gradients for tassels and fringe.

I love the layer system but still miss gradients, as they made for some truly unique colors and effects. More than anything, I miss being able to "spangle" different parts by having one 4-5 different colors in the gradient blocks. Still, the layer system is pretty awesome and allows for much, much more uniqueness as a whole. I actually really do like the new color selector but sometimes, I wish I could use them with the old blocks.

A little, but not that much. I do like the layer system a lot.

I don't miss them as much as I miss gameplay videos.

No.
Fire Pro is about creativity and while I appreciate when the game can make stuff as realistic as possible, the game series was always about making something close to reality, but using your imagination to fill in the blanks.
I appreciate what people were able to do with the individual color swatches, but it only looked OK in very, very rare instances. Even Human/Spike had sprites that required them to color in a character properly and I much prefer having the part split into two (like with EVIL's hair, for example).
The layer system is great, the mods that allow for opacity changes only make it better, plus custom textures now, etc.

It took me forever to even get a half-assed idea on how gradients worked to make things look right. I think we're better off with what we have.

There are times when it would be nice but it mostly make things messy looking. Gradients tried to make up for less layers and parts, and now we have lots of layers and more parts coming with the NJPW edits.
It's mostly obsoLETE compared to what we got for losing it.

You could do some cool effects simulating different fabrics, but that's easily accomplished with the shaders now.
I am also very much in favor of the full RGB spectrum being available to automatically shade colors.

I stopped caring about Gradients the day after the game came out and I had already made ten edits without them.

Nope. Given the choice between gradients and layering, I'd take layering every time. Its only going to get better as we get more parts and possibly more layers.

Layers all the way. Gradients were nice, but you get way more utility out of layers that I honestly can't believe people would still prefer the gradient system over what we have now.

About 80% of the stuff I've done would not be possible with the old system, so I have little to no nostalgia for it....
