Hard to still miss something you never missed in the first place.

The only thing I miss about gradients is that I could make distressed jeans with them. I have a hard time doing that on World. There's always a way. I've been doing either camo or the spots from the the inside circle dots as a flesh tone, then a few layers placed over them in spots to mimick distressed jeans on like Onita, Lance Archer and a few others and I'm happy with it.

I missed gradients for the first time today when attempting to make decent looking Iron Sheik pants.

No. But I don't think I ever used gradients to their full potential. To me their most common use were tears, splatters, tattoos and noise to give clothing a different texture quality. I'd rather these things be added as new layers than hack gradients to mimic them.

I miss gradients sometimes, but I've grown past being an idiot about it and can appreciate the improvements FPW has made, even if every so often I come across a moment while making an edit where it would just look better if I could do a gradient or have a bit more control over the color/shading.

The only time I ever wished for gradients was when I was making Dudley Boy edits and it was difficult to make tie dye besides that I think the layer system works for anything else I've tried to do so far.

Yes, because I used gradients, so I can make multi-colored/holoflash designs.

I always disliked the gradients because I was never any good at them. Worlds system is so much easier to use for me.

I don't miss them.
They were always just a way around either palette limitations or part limitations, nothing more.

I don’t miss them at all. If I can’t do what I need with layers, I just make a new part in photoshop.

I liked gradients to add extra flare for patterns, and to add some subtle shading for parts but the layer system just opens up more possibilities. I feel like the layer system can really allow a new flavor of uniqueness between each edit. It just made the entire mode way more versatile than it's ever been before.

I miss Gradients, I have several edits that simply don't work as well without them (like Vulcan, PileDrv).
The layer system is a poor substitute.

I can't make my swamp monster without gradients. But I'll take layers any day over gradients. But Timberwolf, you can make new edit parts that look just like that gradient, or even more textured if you wanted.

Gradients were fine, but layers are just better in every way.
I wouldn't give up what we have to go back to the old system.
