Ok so this is the final game in my PRO WRESTLING Trilogy. MP3's for music and Templates for PS4 can be found in the google drive link in the first post. It's 20 Wrestler Edits excluding the Refs, Managers and Unplayable Bosses/Unlocks, and I'm uploading some Promotion logo and apron decorations but these are pretty basic since it's supposed to be limited. There may be a few "Super Famicom Variant" edits that are added in the future. The Edits are built on one of six 16-Bit/Arcade inspired edit templates, Standard/Technical/Power/High Flyer/Big Heavy/Rough. The templates are based on a style but not necessarily the Fire Pro parameter/move set definitions of the same name. (example, Technical does not just use all high rated Technical Fire Pro moves, ect.) Special Moves and Finishers are unique to the Wrestlers. There are also some variations on the templates like faces use a 'snap mare' where as for heels the move is replaced with 'eye rake'. There are also punch/chop/headbutt variations where certain wrestlers may have some basic attacks changed to represent that style without having to use up special moves. I've seen singles matches end anywhere from 13 minutes to 22 minutes running at the game default clock speed. The logic is designed to try and emulate the Arcade and Console era of wrestling video games so there will be move spamming and plenty of off the top rope action! It's the same for the visual style as the head and upper body/arms are exaggerated in size while the legs are closer to normal to give it the arcade style look. I've been having fun with the sims and going over these edits, the edits are close in programming so while some edits are more tailored to opening/mid-card, they all have the ability to beat the other in any given match adding to the Arcade style. The Collection Description on Steam will include the 'wrestler' order for Single Player and the Tag Team pair ups/order for Tag Mode. The only other edits from Pro Wrestling that could be added to the collection is if I decide to go through these edits and fill out the move sets to better represent Fire Pro style edits from the limited move set/logic edits in this collection; If I do this they will be uploaded and marked as separate edits so that the Arcade style edits are not overwritten. There wouldn't be any appearance changes here just expanding the move sets and a few logic adjustments. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update on current/future collections: I'm going to be working on some smaller collections next. Having made the 16-Bit style edit templates for SNES Pro I decided to put them to use and do something a little more fun and a throw back to my old Fire Pro Returns packs which brings me to My Next Release (Coming Soon):These '16-Bit Mania!!: Champion Edition' packs are going to be limited to 20 Edits (excluding managers/refs) per pack(collection) and each pack will focus on a specific year and promotion, and will use the same template style bases as the Super Pro Wrestling edits with with Specials and Finishers being unique. I'm also using the same visual style with the exaggerated parts and expressions and bright colors, so these will be similar in visual style to my WWF Hasbro collections. These style edits are easy and quick for me to make and are a fun throw back so I plan to branch out more so there will be Attitude Era, ECW, AWA and other promotions that I haven't messed with much on World. I don't have a definitive road map so as always, 'Card Subject to Change', but for right now I have WWF 1986 and Jim Crockett Promotions 1986 just about finished. WWF 1986 could go up this week or next and then will be followed by new collections in this style until I take a break or get finished. Since I am limiting each pack to 20 edits, I will be including my style templates as uploaded edits so you can make your "create-a-wrestler" if having Hercules in WWF 1986 is that important to you :D This is so awesome!!!! I'm downloading the Super Pro Wrestling edits now. I'm really excited for it cause I loved the original Pro Wrestling and because this presentation feels like you turned Fire Pro into an emulator with Super Pro Wrestling as the game! That is a really cool vibe and I love it π Also excited for the new projects coming!

That is a really cool vibe and I love it π Also excited for the new projects coming! That's exactly what I was going for. I'm also filling out the Bio's on Steam with world building too, I had all of that stuff written out and ready but had it on a thumb drive to move over and then lost data so I had to start the writing over, so some of the Bio's will be light on story until I get things updated.

I'm sorry to hear about the lost data π It's very frustrating to write all that, then lose it, then write it all over. It never comes out the same way, at least not on the second try. Take your time and it's totally cool sticking with light bios for now. I haven't written out a full bio in a while for my fed, it just takes too much time and energy.
But yeah, you completely nailed the vibe you were going for with "a game within a game". I can't wait to actually play it. Do you have CPU logic for them too or is the pack really meant more for 1P playing which I totally understand (and would likely do more of due to my nostalgia for NES Pro Wrestling)

Sometimes I finish something and it hits all the right notes and when I have to redo it it sucks. Even if what I write that is new is ultimately better, it will never feel that way to me. I usually have to take a few days break and then re-start or I'm sour lol. For the edits I tried to balance them so that you can sim them, they work with 1P also but I tried to design them to be fun to sim with too. Trying to mimic old Arcade/Console games, technically anyone could beat anyone but they do have a bit of a sliding scale, Kin Corn Karn and Fighter Hayabusa are closer to opening matches than headliners, but they are still formidable and not jobbers. King Slender and Star Man are closer to Main Events but they are not unstoppable. The champions have higher stats in a few places to make them a bit tougher to beat and to try and replicate 'boss' edits. I kinda just co-opted the six original NES Pro guys and built story lines around them. Most of my stuff on NES PRO 2 was "did you know" type trivial around the games production and roster differences in the US and Japan, where as with this one I went more for story line. lol that's the long answer, in short my personal use for them will be running the VCW like a OC fed.

Thank you for making these Iβm going to have a great time putting the new guys in my game. I love the Panther twist. Plus Iβm getting a WCW vibe from this one. You know your going to have to finish this off as a fourth series . Or some expansions down the road. Once again thank you .

Even if what I write that is new is ultimately better, it will never feel that way to me. I usually have to take a few days break and then re-start or I'm sour lol. LOL my experiences are always like this: 1) First attempt: just about perfect. 2) Second attempt: garbage and written with frustration. 3) Third attempt: Not as good as the first for what I was originally trying to do but written better than the second and usually some new idea comes to me that makes the whole situation grudgingly worth it π Your few day break + re-start will produce something really good but you'll be annoyed in the meantime! For the edits I tried to balance them so that you can sim them, they work with 1P also but I tried to design them to be fun to sim with too. I kinda just co-opted the six original NES Pro guys and built story lines around them. Awesome, I think I'd really enjoy simming these guys too (and simming them with my edits) but overall I'm most looking forward to playing them 1P style. I'm gonna pretend that I just got this new game and not even think of Fire Pro but just enjoy the Pro Wrestling nostalgia and becoming the Champion! Looking forward to using Hayabusa and Star Man to start! π Most of my stuff on NES PRO 2 was "did you know" type trivial around the games production and roster differences in the US and Japan, where as with this one I went more for story line. lol that's the long answer, in short my personal use for them will be running the VCW like a OC fed. Awesome, I love the idea of coming up with story lines for a pack to guide people's play. Then all of the matches that people play and sim have the story lines as a context and booking tool. You really put a ton of energy and love into this pack and it's got me very excited π

I'm going to try lol, I wansn't going to mention it because I wasn't sure if I was going to re-do it, but I had actually made an instruction book type document, where I did the pic profiles and stats, and I had some story stuff in there at the beginning, and a table of contents. I put graphics at the top and used an image program to replicate the look of pages, all that, then didn't back it up and went to transfer via usb instead of cloud lol, so the instruction booklet may make a comeback. I think I still have the assets I just need to rebuild it since it was lost. They should work great for that. The edits have move mapping and logic consistency across the templates so outside of the template style specifics, and specials/finishers, once you get the feel of them it should translate well to trying other wrestlers, I'm hoping it feels close to picking up an SNES game and playing. I'm actually getting ready to update the Collection page on Steam to include the wrestler order for solo and tag play if you were to want to play it like it would have been on the console, like I did with NES Pro 2. So that will be updated within the hour to add to your immersions :D It will also have noted which edits have managers, ect. Awesome, I love the idea of coming up with story lines for a pack to guide people's play. Then all of the matches that people play and sim have the story lines as a context and booking tool. You really put a ton of energy and love into this pack and it's got me very excited π I did, thanks! I have a lot more fun with this type of stuff when I make it which is why I'm going to be doing more Arcade style stuff and smaller packs. :D

Haha since VWF and VWA were already taken VCW was all that was left, but I think that's a good comparison, at least the good WCW lol! I'm not sure I will do another Pro Wrestling sequel specific pack, but I do plan to continue to make more Arcade inspired edits using the same template and appearance style and this could include more VCW focused stuff for sure.

I think I still have the assets I just need to rebuild it since it was lost. Oh wow, an instruction manual!? That's awesome!! Great idea for 90's SNES immersion! π‘ Are there some blank pages at the end so that we can sloppily write down our favorite moves as reminders? π They should work great for that. The edits have move mapping and logic consistency across the templates so outside of the template style specifics, and specials/finishers, once you get the feel of them it should translate well to trying other wrestlers, I'm hoping it feels close to picking up an SNES game and playing. I want to know how "the company" ranks the wrestlers in the hierarchy of the select menu. Those little touches add to immersion. I'll check to see the updates for that. Awesome, I love the idea of coming up with story lines for a pack to guide people's play. Then all of the matches that people play and sim have the story lines as a context and booking tool. Once again thanks for putting these out . I noticed on the PS4 version you have up for us to used there are two Puma Jrs and Mikado is missing. Iβm going through the edits one by one at this point . And thatβs what I have seen so far. They play really good with the other edits. I canβt thank you enough. Iβm having fun putting them up against the other arcade ones that you did.
