WCW Clash of the Champions XXV
Production
When it makes sense, I like to take a lot of pictures during the arena creation process and share what I was thinking, mistakes I made, and what I learned with others. Below are some shots of what it looked like behind the scenes as I created the arena.
This was my first attempt at the arena. The initial gold texture was different than the final, and I thought it would look cool to have a massive set like they did on TV, in 1993. I don't know what possessed to me curve the backdrop, but I did and ended up hating it. Another thing to note is that this whole set is made up of six different textures, pieced together. Why don''t I use one texture? Resolution. I find that I can get a higher resolution (with a better looking image) if I break a larger item into pieces and place them together. I also needed to find a place to "break" the curtains for wrestlers to walk through. Curtains on the left are layered at 0 (backstage) and the ones of the right are 1 (stage). Can you guess the middle? Hint, it's layered behind the left curtains and backstage is the lowest you can go.
I straightening the gold textures out, but the size was too large. It looked good, but you couldn't actually see anything interesting during the entrance - just the textured walls. You could barely see the Clash of the Champions flag and the labor to fill the stage was going to be too much. So I downsized again to something much more reasonable and began throwing in 3D trusses.
Most of the 3D trusses are created - pasted, rather, using math. That whole top section is broken into 5 parts, each part consisting of 4 smaller pieces. Once you create that first part (four pieces - front, back, top, and bottom), you add add one part for attaching section (in my case, the next one to the right, figure out how many units to move it over, and then create an MS Excel formula to compute the rest. Essentially, once one part was placed, the next four were copied and pasted in. I did the same for the vertical trusses, but there were only four parts, total. I also wanted those black curtains to be further up, but I didn't like the look and you would have to make them huge to hide wrestlers waiting to enter the arena. So I settled on pulling them back.
Just when I thought I finalized the stage template, I tested a 3v3 to see if the second and third wrestler would clip any curtains (and later the vertical trusses)...aaaand of course they did, which lead to me pulling the outside curtains further apart, while also making them more narrow. Before I did all that, I needed to figure out where all the wrestlers would walk on the stage to plan it out and see a few entrances. I tend to throw Andre in there because he is the largest wrestler on my roster and if he can make it through the entrance, anyone can. Around the same time, I also was playing with stage textures in an effort to make one (double sized) stage, using two parts - boy you talk about a headache, that'll will give it to ya.
Also, you see that blurred part of Andre's head? Like he's dragging a paint brush on his head? For whatever reason, this particular arena has this issue. If there is an empty black void behind the textures or edits, they'll "bleed" into the void. So, in time, I added a giant black image behind the set to kill the texture bleed.
Why the ramp is broken up...only Spike can answer. I had to create the ramp, break it in the right place, and "stitch" the pieces back together. I made a little...thing to figure out what direction went where, lol
Oh...and that new gold streamer texture? I got the pre-photoshoped texture from a posting I saw on eBay...
It's actually black! I snipped that black curtain out (around the 2 PACK logo), pasted it into photoshop, and then used the coloring hue to apply gold.
Because this arena came out so much better than I ever thought it was, I will attempt to go back and edit WCW Beach Blast in the future. I also want to go back and chip away at more WWF (early and mid 90s) arenas. Until then, enjoy!

New Mats I was never really satisfied with the AR00 mats...so I finally created a new tool that includes new cornered mats to fit with the metal rails, and newly aligned concrete textures that blend and generally look better than before. Here they are with no shadows applied. I also have textures for when there is no announce table (to come).
This tool makes creating mats with concrete so much easier. I am going to redo all of my old arena's that have metal rails with these new textures. That includes all the WrestleMania's, the Raw's, PPVs, everything. That will be my next post :)
The Third Flag
I experimented with adding a third flag and to give the arena some more zest and decided to keep it. If you don't like it, you can delete the Hanging flag .png from your csv file.

WrestleMania 2000 (16) RedoIt's out with the old… …and in with the NEW WM2000 ArenaEdit version: WrestleMania X8I always wanted to make the actual WrestleMania X8 arena, but the mod limitations and complexity of the monstrosity that is the WMX8 set is too much to take on. We would have been looking at 300+ parts, and that is not something I am willing to do. Instead, I’ve opted to go with the AR09 create your own color scheme tool and made a blue/purple and yellow set that can complement the WMX8 ring. I would like to use the tool more for some other complex arena sets. I also created a nameplate that is not historically accurate, but close enough, again, based on 3D limitations and a lack of resources available online.

Deck Approved!
Annnd speaking of the Deck...I have uploaded a new file on my Goolge drive (Under Arenas) which converts all of my arena CSVs into Deck ready CSVs files. Assuming you installed Fire Pro in the default SSD location (Z Drive), these files should require no extra fiddling.
I'm working on AEW All Out next. Enjoy.

I don't have the most up to date ring apron. I assume Avenger will upload one soon.

Arena Texture Photoshop Tools
So, I have a lot of rings I don’t use because I don’t the correct textures or ArenaEdit setup, essentially putting them on this imaginary shelf. So, I revisited the old “Create your own AR09 Color Scheme” to make a few new textures for myself, ended up finding a bunch of errors, and took some time to correct them. Then I ended up expanding this work to AR00, AR01, AR03 and AR08, essentially standardizing and mapped out pretty much everything you could possible want to alter in those arenas...that's 23 different detailed photoshop files, for all for 23 different arena textures files. Here are the details of everything I mapped out:
AR00 (Big Garden Arena): Arena light reflections, side tron borders, stage middle tron (added curtain option and color changer, along with WWF/WWE/AEW logo, side tron (curtain options built in with color option), mats, screen border, announce tables 1, 2 (top, sides, and panel), lights, arena floor…I also threw in a bunch of extra textures like: WWF attitude era ramp/stage, 2001 ramp/stage (metal), concrete stage along with very large, large, and thin carpets options (with color options), and barrier (reference image below) with AEW optional texture
AR01 (SCS Stadium): Arena light reflections, ramp/stage lights (option to do every other light), ramp/stage lighting, floor coloring, mat coloring, arena floor, lights (updated), barrier reference (see image below) with AEW optional texture
AR03 (Spike Dome): Arena light reflections, stage blocks, ramp/stage color/textures, stage texturing example, stage walls, stage columns (inner, middle, outer), mat coloring, arena floor, barrier
AR08 (Outdoor Arena): Arena light reflections, barrier light reflections, lights, mats (and side of mats), ramp, curtains, optional flag option texture and color option (paste your logo on top), arena floor
AR09 (Big Dome Arena): Announce Tables 1, 2, and 3 (updated to Top of table, sides, top of sides, full panel), mats, barrier, outside Barrier, barrier reflections (updated) entrance way outer panels (updated), entrance way inner panels (updated), stage and stage top (updated), stage Lights, FIRE PRO WRESTLING letters (updated), main tron border (updated), side tron borders (individually marked), side tron reflections (new, for wacky creations), globe (updated), cannons (updated primary color, secondary, frame), full reflections (updated), stage reflections, ramp lights (updated), ramp light fixture base (updated), TV Outline 1 and 2 (updated).
All 23 Photoshop files with everything I highlighted above mapped out is now uploaded onto my drive. That’s 23 files that cover every single texture file you need for those arenas.
Generic Textures And what would all these tools be without a variety of generic textures? I just uploaded 174 (yes, 174!) different “generic” texture files (red, blue, yellow, purple, etc.; some with bran logos).
I uploaded 174 different "generic" texture files and I will try to add more over time. Many of them can be mixed and matched, and easily edited.
Generic Name Plate and Photoshop Tool Lastly, I saw a post in the discord last week from Dakota with a generic grey, FirePro-like name plate and I took the inspiration to make a handful of generic colored name plates
Along with the name plate files, I also uploaded the photoshop file (customization options for top and bottom of plate).
Other things I am working on (no timetable): - Revising CujoMatty’s old WCW Arenas with enhancements (handful are done, not out yet) - New Raw 2018 arena (about 60% done) - Fixing old 90s arena mats so they are square (previously discussed, have not got around to it)

WCW CujoMatty Enhancments
CujoMatty – the original inspiration for all my Arena Edit aspirations made an awesome set of WCW arenas a few years back.
I revisited all his work and made a few stage/texture edits you might be interested in. I have his original work and all of my personal enhancements/changes uploaded onto my drive. Here is what I did:
Fixed Side Ramp Textures (All WCW Arenas)
Before
After Squared off/improved Mats (removed extra grey mats)(All Arenas except Saturday Night/Nitro)Before
After Revised Road Wilde Stage and Floor by adding new grass Before After Added new Lights for all Arenas (unless current one was good enough) and deposited those in my "generic" texture folder.
These enhancements/improvements are for all 15 of his WCW arenas.
FYI: If you notice your stage texture is incorrect or “fighting” with another texture during entrances, go to the arena edit .txt files for the said arena, remove “AR00_Stage_C”, and remove the .csv line that populates part “AR00_Stage_C”. I had this issue with Fall Brawl, Great American Bash, Road Wild, Souled Out, Uncensored, and WW3. I don't know what caused it but the fix works.
Update (10PM): I ended up uploading my own .csv/.txt files if you don't want the trouble of having to locate the lines yourself.

I uploaded 27 "HD" ring mats to the Steam Workshop and to my google drive:
Some of them are originally from Avenger and I used a basic AI program to enhance/sharpen the image...and some I remade myself using next textures/editing. In some cases, I used both. Here are a few examples:

Wallywood from the discord asked if I would take a crack at fixing the old "Hell in a Cell" textures that were used for Cujo's Fall Brawl 1998. As you can see in the pics below, they are bit bent/wavy: I won't get into the explanation as to why this couldn't be easily fixed, but I essentially had to rebuild the cell and to maintain texture quality, I had to do it in multiple parts, 48 vs. the 4 he used. Here is the result:
Uploaded to my drive: - Updated Fall Brawl 1998.csv & New Required Textures
- Updated Steam Deck Fall Brawl 1998.csv
- Added two CSV files for HIAC (one Grey, one Red) and you can copy/paste them into any other csv you want to have a HIAC.
