I'm now in the process of scanning Super Fire Pro-Wrestling Special's Edit Wrestler Book. The first illustration is of 'Hien'. The funny thing is, underneath Hayabusa's Fire Pro rename, is his actual name! ヒエン - Hien ハヤブサ- Hayabusa This is because the Edit Wrestler Books were released by Japanese book publisher Keibunsha, and not HUMAN Corporation themselves. Clearly, Keibunsha didn't worry about getting sued at the time.

Japanese mail day. Tons of Fire Pro guides and (super expensive) CD's have just arrived. Plus other retro goodies from 1991 - 1997, too. Tekken's 'Gamest Mook' guide (the one with Kazuya and Nina on the cover) is simply massive. So big, I will have a hard time scanning it. If all mook guides are this big, then I'll definitely have to track more down.

Today's discovery goes back to a bargain bin title on the Nintendo Wii. Power Punch (no relation to Nintendo's PUNCH OUT) from 2009: Enemy Gus 'Buffalo' Harris, looks just like Stan 'The Lariat' Hansen.
Maybe it's a coincidence, but 'Buffalo' may also be inspired by Stan Hansen's Fire Pro rename 'Star Bison'.

The gifts just keep on coming. Up next is an extremely rare (and also very expensive) music album that was released alongside Fire Pro-Wrestling 2nd Bout back in 1991.
The 2nd Bout soundtrack contains 17 tracks, 6 of which are newly-arranged, arcade-quality versions of the 2nd Bout tunes. Far from your standard game rip, the arranged tracks were redone from the group up, and sound simply amazing. As usual, I ripped the whole album in WAV format, and included scans of the booklet as well. You can download the full album here: DOWNLOAD:www.mediafire.com/file/j1927hw80slpjzw/Fire+Pro-Wrestling+2nd+Bout+Official+Soundtrack.zip/file

I don't suppose you have any guides on tecmo world wrestling? Asking for a friend :-) Just for you, Pat, I'm now bidding on a guide for Tecmo World Wrestling in Japan: The Tecmo World Wrestling 'Complete Capture Technique Book'. Also for everyone here, I just ripped the entire 1992 Human Super F2 split compilation CD: Human Super F2 serves as the official soundtrack to the original Super Fire Pro-Wrestling on Nintendo's Super Famicom system. There are 3 newly arranged tracks: the Fire Pro-Wrestling title screen theme, Jushin Liger/Pegasus Kid's theme, and the catchy Wrestling Dojo theme. These are completely redone compositions that sound different than the BGM tracks later found in games like Fire Pro-Wrestling Returns. These are the original revisions, and they feature excellent guitar work and other surprises.
Since I been creating way too many threads in the Fire Pro Classic forum lately, I decided to post the entire album to my personal Pro-Wrestling blog. I ripped the album in WAV quality for everyone's enjoyment, and provided full scans and background information on the album for everyone's enjoyment. The download link for the album is at the bottom

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my latest video on tecmo world wrestling. Hope you enjoy it. Another great video. Patman did Tecmo World Wrestling justice, and even covered the various Wrestler look-alikes found within the 8-bit classic.
As I've said several times before, I've always been a big fan of Pat's videos. In fact, I often listen to them while scanning game guides for this forum. Just hearing Pat's enthusiasm for retrogaming inspires me to work all the much harder to get those guides out there to you guys. Another characteristic that I personally enjoy about Pat's videos is Pat's love of Pro-Wrestling, which Pat brings up often in his videos (The History of Karnov, The History of Ninja Gaiden, Yie Ar Kung Fu, etc...). You get video game history, and pop culture references thrown together into one convenient package.
Straight to the point, informative, and still very entertaining. If you haven't watched Patman's videos already, give 'em a try. You'll be glad you did.

We put together a rundown of console wrestling video games (PC games make a quick not shown appearance too). I think we got them all, what games were missed? (Going by US release date if there is one, so Tecmo is just out) Might put together a "Red Hat Guy" "Green Shirt Guy" awards for the wrestlers with the most appearances in videogames in 80s
