Are there any Raiders fans on here? Do you think it works? Dude, I was born in Oakland, used to live a short walk from the Coliseum, and have been a diehard Raiders fan my entire life, and now I can hardly even think about the current state of the Raiders without becoming completely irate. My policy for sports teams has always been extremely simple: If they ain't from Oakland, then fuck 'em. I'd been saying to myself that I would root for my Raiders up until their very last second in Oakland, but I don't even think I can do that anymore, I feel so betrayed by those traitorous, moneygrubbing scumbag bastards. As far as I'm concerned, they already are the Las Vegas Raiders, and in accordance with what I said above: fuck 'em. I don't think any move Gruden has made so far has made any particular degree of sense; many of them have been downright bizarre, like today's transaction. It almost seems like he's determined to get rid of any player who possesses any semblance of a personality, and their skills on the field aren't even being taken into consideration. I guess only time will tell, but it currently looks to me like hiring him again was just about the worst decision that could have been made... which I suppose you could say makes it rather Raiders-like indeed. In conclusion: Maybe I shouldn't have responded to your post because I just can't seem to bring myself to be much of a Raiders fan anymore. I hope they're booed mercilessly at home up until the moment they leave, and someone with a strong arm pegs Gruden in the temple with a C battery all the way from the top of Mt. Davis.

I'm really starting to think that Eric Berry's career might be over. :(

Torn ACL? Torn Achilles? Cancer remission?
The guy has been through a lot. Surprised he's still playing.

I'm really starting to think that Eric Berry's career might be over. :( Achilles injuries are a son of a bitch. I'm not looking forward to dudes blowing by Richard Sherman all season (even though part of me is going to mildly enjoy it).

Its just too bad the Niners aren't playing the Ravens this year so Crabtree and Sherman can both be slow and annoying against each other again.

I'm pretty hardline anti-University of Kansas sports (a couple of reasons for that) but even I have to give them credit for breaking their 46-game football road losing streak yesterday. It's their first road win since 2009. (not that they've won many home games in that span either lol)
Also, big congrats to Naomi Osaka on winning her first major tennis title by winning the US Open yesterday. In doing so, she became the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam title and defeated her personal idol, Serena Williams, to accomplish it. Not bad for a lady who doesn't turn 21 for another month and a half.
It really is a shame that her great accomplishment is being overshadowed by the unfortunate display from Serena before the end of the match.

Nice to know that the Saints defense still has the same consistency of a wet paper bag. They should've stuck with the bounties if they are going to make Ryan "The Wreck of the Edmund" Fitzpatrick look all-world.
Also heard that LeVeon Bell called the forfeiture of his $853k game paycheck today "chump change".
Yeah. He won't regret that when he's old and broke like a lot of these clueless athletes.
Not that it currently helps our situation against Cleveland today. SIX turnovers against a Browns team that surprisingly can't move the ball is inexcusable.

Bad start for the Seahawks dropping that first game to the Broncos, but it was close enough that I think they'll be fine, even if they're not the unstoppable juggernaut they've been in past years.
Nobody in Seattle is paying any mind to the most successful team in the city, the Seattle Storm, who are now one win away from a THIRD WNBA championship. No other professional sports team in Seattle even has two. But the Storm are going for three.
And the Sounders are on an absolutely STUPID run. The team literally has not lost a game since JUNE, and has won their last eight in a row. They've gone from an absolutely horrific start to climbing the standings, slowly but surely, and may be primed for yet another playoff run, which should terrify the rest of MLS, I suspect.
Seattle sports are friggin' wild, man.

I believe Zabit Magomedsharipov has been watching some Zack Sabre Jr as of late. He may not just be a hype job but I'd like to see him truly tested against a top ten opponent. He's the UFC's Michael Venom Page. Reminds me of this:
