Hey Marsh, think your boy Patrick Mahomes can avoid the Madden cover boy jinx this year? 😛 It really did a number on Antonio Brown, last year's cover boy, and still is doing it. Well, he tweaked an ankle in the second quarter last week and would have missed a snap had Jags LB Myles Jack not lost his damn mind after the play. He played through it but it made everyone kind of pucker when he got up gimpy. Funny enough, despite his crazy stats in the game, he could have actually had a 4th TD pass but he got caught trying to be cute, airmailing a wide open Travis Kelce in the end zone because he wasn't actually looking where he was throwing. Yeah, they had the lead and still scored anyway but yeah, don't need any more of that. ZealotLol I'd hope a Texas kid who lives and works in Kansas City would know better than to order a steak "well done"

Trying to order a steak well done will just get him politely but firmly asked to leave.

Yeah, that dude got folded in half but just rubbed some dirt in it and walked it off!
Also, Rugby World Cup starts September 20th, I'm checking out a bit of Japan vs Russia (when did Russia sneak into rugby... kinda like the US having a cricket team.) before work, Austrailia vs Fiji later, and tomorrow All Blacks vs Springboks, France vs Argentina (both of those games will be bangers!)! This tournament ALWAYS sneaks up on me, can't believe it's been four years since the last one already. If you want to see some great rugby, tomorrows two games will be good ones (France vs Argentina should be VERY physical, they'r both huge, notoriously chippy teams. I've always thought of the Pumas as South America's team France!).

Antonio Brown has been cut by the Patriots. The 30 For 30 continues.

When the Raiders and the Patriots, two teams known to take on players with character risks, don't even want Antonio Brown, you know he's bad. I think Brown is done with football. I don't think anyone else will touch him with a 10 foot pole.
Hell, there's even a meme circulating that even the XFL don't want him 😂

Fiji vs Wallabies was a great match (Fiji’s Teivovo or Cibi challenge at the start of the game got me HYPED as usual!), but it was definitely the classic brawler vs trained boxer with Aus weathering the Fijian storm to come back from behind in the second half. The giant, powerful Fijians beat the shit out of the Aussies for the first half but blew up and were overwhelmed by Australia’s discipline and depth in the end. Can’t wait to see Fiji play again!
By the way, Japan knows how to host world class events! They are killing the intros and match start ups with some cool stuff like taiko drumming and shit like that, this will be a great tournament!

Thanks man, if they'll pay me, I'm in! I love the game, but we have so little exposure for it here since it's not hockey or curling (except for rugby sevens now that it's an olympic event), so it's nice when once every four years we get to see such good stuff, it's a treat! Canada snuck in this year after missing the last one, but that's a NASTY pool they're in, we keep backsliding in mens team world standings (23rd), but then we are a nation of Personal Bests, unless we're talking about hockey. The US mens team is ranked 13th in the world, and have pumped lots of money and time into their program, so I think they'll be competitive in their pool (England, France, and Argentina are no joke though, they have their work cut out for them!). Pools are tough for this World Cup, no BSing! Pool A: Ireland, Scotland, Japan, Russia, Samoa Pool B: New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, Namibia, CANADA (drowned in the pool before even getting a lap in! :( ) Pool C: England, France, Argentina, USA, Tonga Pool D: Australia, Wales, Georgia, Fiji, Uruguay and here's a nice game schedule from RWC 2019 official site!

Catching up on PVR’ed World Cup matches, just watched Scotland vs Ireland, and I think it’s my favourite match of the tournament so far! As cool as it is to watch the big three from the Southern Hemisphere duke it out, and as much as I love my South Pacific teams, there’s something special about watching UK teams face off. They have their own play style, there’s more tactical kicking plays (up and unders, and grubbers), lots of great runs with fake passes, and just a lot of heart and balls in the forward play. The match was the drizzling shits for the Scotts, but it was still a great match to watch. And although the Aussie announcers are knowledgeable and interesting, there’s something to be said for a Brit team calling an all UK match (they’re frigging hilarious!). We haven’t had Six Nations rugby on tv here for a very long time (last time it was on tv here it was still FIVE nations and Italy was a year or two from joining...), so besides the occasional Canadian international test at two in the morning on some obscure channel, we get no coverage here, and watching a classic match like Scotland vs Ireland was a real treat! Can’t wait for more!🙂🏉🤕

My god, Canada vs Italy was hard to watch. I hope it was just tournament jitters, but Christ, so many missed tackles, stupid, unforced errors and just poor execution in general. Not taking anything away from Italy, they played like a team and capitalized on all of those errors, but that hurt to watch!
The US team looked a bit overwhelmed by England, but all things considered played a bit more like a team. The outcome for the US was just a result of running into a top level team more than a lack of effort or a bunch of screw ups.

Wow, number 10 ranked Japan beat number 1 ranked Ireland in RWC action, paralleling the Brighton Miracle when Japan beat a vastly superior Springboks team. Of course my recording didn’t work, so I’ll have to find the match online. Sounds like it was a match for the ages! 🇯🇵🙂🇯🇵

The Cubs have parted ways with Joe Maddon and the Pirates have fired Clint Hurdle following some pretty laughable collapses for both squads.
Tim has to be enjoying this.
Overall though, it was time for both coaches to go. Their styles are too old hat for either team to be competitive right now and both franchises have made pretty questionable moves the last few years. Honestly surprised Huntington wasn't fired as well for Pittsburgh for that huge debacle of a trade for Chris Archer as Glasnow and Meadows have blossomed in Tampa Bay.
As a Bucs fan, I really hope they find a good replacement that will bring the team more together. There is still some good young talent on the team like Reynolds, Newman, Osuna, and Diaz to build around. We just really need to work on that pitching as well.

To the surprise of nobody but the NFL, Vontaze Burfict destroyed another defenseless receiver with his head. You would think after 13 combined fines/suspensions in 7 years that the league would get the hint that this thug doesn't deserve to play in the league at all.
