Jacoby Brissett the next man up at QB. The Colts are so fucked.
As for Luck's decision, I can't blame him at all. I can only imagine how hard the injury cycle can be on an athlete like him and I'm glad he had enough wits to know when his body was telling him enough is enough. Regardless, the timing of the announcement was shocking for sure.

Stay classy, Colts fans.
Instead of a standing ovation, Luck got booed as he walked off the field the other nignt. What a way to go out 😐

Yeah, that was a really classless response. The timing was unfortunate for sure, but he deserves better than that.

I cannot believe baseball is already winding down, the CFL are nearing the post season (Go Bombers), the NFL season is starting this week and the NHL (go Habs) will start next month...where does time go?
I was finally able to sit down and watch some Premier League on Saturday, boy Liverpool put a beating on Burnley. Can't believe how crappy Chelsea's doing though.

And yeah, not happy about AB to Oakland for obvious reasons but maybe he'll decline rapidly in the vein of "DON'T CARE, GOT PAID!" I mean, for all of the incessant drama with him, the one thing that's never been in question is his work ethic so him slacking off seems unlikely but yeah, I really don't want to see the Raiders get their shit together before the Chiefs actually do SOMETHING in the playoffs. False alarm, y'all.
False alarm!
Sucker got cut today before even playing a down in Oakland
I don't know the man but he clearly has a couple of screws loose and I'd hope that he gets some help for that, regardless of whether he ever plays again (imo, he shouldn't). He could "just" be a raging egomaniac but I think there's more to it.
Well, I certainly don't have to worry about him anymore.
Hopefully the league wisens up and just says to hell with his attitude. The distraction and dissension just isn't worth it, regardless of his gaudy statistics.
Makes me almost thankful that the Chiefs have such limited cap room, JUST in case Andy Reid got into one of his "give them another chance" moods.

I think that one nasty hit Burfict laid on him in the playoffs a few years ago really changed him. He wasn't nearly as mercurial before that.
Regardless of the dude's health, you still have to take responsibility for your actions. When a team like the Pittsburgh Steelers decides to trade you in the prime of your career for a 3rd and a 5th while retaining $21 Million of your salary, YOU ARE A PROBLEM.
Now the question is which trade did we fleece DAH RRRAIDAHS more on: Antonio Brown or Martavis Bryant?
The pick acquired from Oakland for Bryant was flipped to Seattle to move up and draft QB Mason Rudolph The picks acquired from Oakland for Brown were used on WR Diontae Johnson and DE Sutton Smith
Only time will tell, but we still won the trades overall.

And now he's a Patriot. What in the literal fuck?

As a since deleted post pointed out, I agree that AB wasn't the only problem in Pittsburgh. We know Ben is no saint, but AB and Bell have been far and away more childish in the whole ordeal. At least Ben didn't quit the team when times were tough.
There is something really fishy about this whole ordeal. I find it rather odd that AB would come to an agreement mere hours after being released with the Patriots. Not that I'm totally surprised by it considering the franchise in question, but from the get-go during his Raiders tenure, AB seems like he was doing everything possible to get released. There's been some rumors going around that the Pats told AB they would sign him if he got released, which further fuels the conspiracy.
Regardless of alleged tampering (same old song and dance), that fucker at the top probably wouldn't do anything about it anyway. Wouldn't want to pass up that lifetime membership to Kraft's spa.

Looks like the Steelers are throwing in the towel for this year and joining the Dolphins in the "Tank For Tua" sweepstakes 😛

The Dolphins I totally get. They need a face for the franchise.
The Steelers tanking is doubtful though. They're still developing Mason Rudolph. If anything, their starters were the victims of a sloppy start due to little preseason action and they were facing the best team in the NFL.
The Packers outside of their defense were also pretty lethargic.
We'll have a better idea around week 4 or 5 before expectations can be had.

^agreed with that last bit
the Chiefs defense has been getting some criticism for allowing so much yardage to a rookie backup making his NFL debut but lost in that is the fact that 9 of 11 of the defensive starters were playing together in a live game for the first time and ALL of them are new to the current defensive scheme
I figure in a month's time they'll be better than they were on Sunday
the offense though......that's okay for now :D

Hey Marsh, think your boy Patrick Mahomes can avoid the Madden cover boy jinx this year? 😛
It really did a number on Antonio Brown, last year's cover boy, and still is doing it.
