Is the work already done with mods compatible with the official Parts Craft? I dunno, don´t have a clue about modded work... Probably, because they have to boil down to just being images on some level. We can't know with absolute certainty until it's out, of course.

Do you think we will need to buy the Parts Creator to be able to use/download other peoples created stuff?

Being able to make full-head versions of all of the classic heads that had separate pieces to them is already going to be one of the most worthwhile parts of this tool.
Also, being able to properly rig up custom kickpads on the Shin and Feet layers.

I'll be really curious to find out if when you subscribe to an Edit with custom parts, will those parts automatically be subscribed to and downloaded with that Edit, or will they be grayed out if we don't have them yet? So many questions.

So many questions. I would imagine the first one would be true but I could also see them requiring to subscribe to parts like some other things in the workshop

Really doubt you'd be able to upload an edit with custom parts.

Why not if the custom part can be uploaded as well?
It’s already possible to link ring aprons with requirements like turnbuckles and posts, so why not edits with custom parts

Not exactly the same, but edits with modded moves or parts would crash your game on PC. My guess is the same would happen here.

That's mods, these would be official and it's already confirmed there will be workshop support. Odds are if you download something with a custom part/move, it'll download whatever is custom as well if you have the dlc

They aren’t going to release something with workshop support if it can break your game. They chose to keep entrance craft local only, they could have taken that route with part craft too if it was a risk

Found this comment on reddit by Carlzilla (the Modpack author):
"My best guess, and keep in mind that it's a guess, is that the data for edit parts and moves will be freely shareable...however, edits making use of those moves will not be.
So basically you can share the move or part on it's own, but you won't be able to share an edit using that part or move as the ID used to reference the move/part will (unless something drastic happens) change from user to user."

I don't see why they wouldn't write code that when you downloaded an edit with custom parts it checks to see if you have the part. If you haven't downloaded the required part it just defaults to the default edit when you load it. Typical check algorithm if else type statement.
