Considering that each section of the edit's appearance is technically a 3-D model, they're likely painting a 3-D model and then exporting them to a sprite sheet for different angles. Yeah there are guys way more savy then me with this stuff, but this is sort of what i figured they were doing.

I can't see the image in the OP. I tried to see it by quoting but all I get is the twitter placeholder thing. Can someone just post the link url so I can see it? Sorry for the trouble but I'm very curious about what this will look like.

Torso variations will make a huge difference, also elbow pads and a sets of taped hands
I’m never going to have the skills to make a part, I just about managed with a promotion logo and ring mat but I know there will be people who will do insane things with textures.. I just hope there isn’t a low limit on parts we can download

I'm very excited for this DLC!!!! 😁
But I'm also getting the feeling that I'm not gonna be able to catch on to part creation anytime soon.
Do you guys think that everything needs to be created with a 3D parts program? Could I just like make a lightning bolt symbol .png file with transparency on Paint.net, put it in the game, then choose it as a layer to stick onto someone's existing attire? Or do I have to get involved in 3D rendering and shadows and blurring effects and algorithms and parabolas? I don't gots the schooling for that.

Is the work already done with mods compatible with the official Parts Craft? I dunno, don´t have a clue about modded work...

You just need to be able to stick it onto a single picture file.however you make that happen. Using a 3d model program probably just makes it easier since then you can get exact snap shots for the needed angles. Clearly the fire pro team didnt have that ability back in the day and they were able to make spriting work for them anyways

If there is an in depth guide on how to do it, I'd give it a try. The last time I tried any sort of creative modding like this was all the way back on the original Dawn of War PC game. Following the step by step tutorial of a guide I was actually able to do it, although it took me forever and if I had to do it again today I would need the same guide. I think people with a knack for it or a background in it will be able to churn out parts like they're on an assembly line though. I'd hate to spend five hours working on a part only to find out someone did it faster and better.
