Heya!
So, with the official confirmation of custom moves and parts in the Firepro World road map late last year, I figured it might be a good idea to create a subforum for custom animations and sprite showcases, as well as any tips and tutorials folks might want to make for these new modes.
Fire Pro has a small community compared to other games, by dint of being a niche take (2D semi-simulation) on a niche product like professional wrestling, and as such I think it'd be good if we tried to lift each other up now that the game is approaching the end of its official development cycle. Though I don't know how much more streamlined the final Move Craft mode will be compared to the unfinished version used for custom moves in Carlzilla's mod pack, the process of animating moves will still be a bit tricky. As such, I want to leave it open for people to chime in with their own suggestions on how to make it just a bit easier for those who want to take the plunge into working with Firepro's way of animating moves!

Custom moves as they are right now, I wasn't really able to figure it out because I don't know Japanese. I'm under the assumption that if the Move Craft is the same as the program being used to make modded moves, I'll be able to figure it out easily with English commands. Yeah, it takes time, obviously, but the language barrier is the hardest thing for me to get past. Past that, this kind of stuff comes easily to me because I've been modding games for 20+ years by now and this kind of stuff has always come easy to me.

Hello all. Long time no see, hope things aren't too bad for you at the moment. I have a request.
I post this here and not on my threads about the face modding in case nobody is interested or capable of helping out with my request anyway. Then it'd just be another dead thread necro'd for nothing.
Somebody pm'd me today asking about the program used (gimp) in creating the pictures in that tutorial link above. It reminded me of the process and interested me in having another look while there's a lot of spare time, maybe trying to get the process down as quick and easy as it can be. It's always going to take some time and effort but there could be a few ways to make shortcuts.
So. I lost my PC not long after my previous post here. It had all the relevant stuff I was using to help create. Programs, in game parts etc. I was never successful in importing my own content either so when that happened I quit.
Here's the question then. Please could one of you share a few (3 or so) of the most generic sized head templates with me in the different game skin tones. They could go into the link at the bottom if you'd be so kind. I have forgotten pretty much everything about extraction now - a few generic templates would be a great help, and also a written reminder as to where the programs and ways to use them to extract from game are again might get things rolling for myself afterwards.
I don't expect to be able to package up and import anything I might make though still, unless something has changed for the better :D so there's that little problem too. So.
Just a few basic head templates for color and face sizes would help me try to define the available face real estate bearing in mind adding beards glasses hair etc on top. Thanks for considering. Señor Benjamin says hi. He's a funny color because I need to know the in game ones!

Thank you very much indeed, since I came back I have learned that there's DLC based on helping get created content in game. And another member sharing tutorials to help add new faces. What a coincedence.. I swear I never knew about any of it- but I guess this is why I got that PM that brought me back in the first place.. Slow learner ;) Thanks again.
Unfortunately I read there's a few big bugs in the system. I haven't bought the DLC yet. I probably will though, so in the meantime I'll have a look at what you shared and play around again.

Is there a guide on how to use the move creator?
On a very specific note, how do you even exit it on PC? I have to Alt+Tab out and close it via explorer!

Also, if you're not seeing them already, pressing the shift key will show tooltips at the bottom of the screen that describe whatever you're pointing at. It's surprisingly helpful - I've managed to do a few moves that have come out well and I have yet to RTFM. It probably helps that I had an ear to the ground of the move-creation scene, too, but I had never used the program myself before.
Also: Start small. Use an existing move for reference. Don't move the guys off their shadows (if you need to change a guy's position, move the shadow instead; that's the game showing you where it thinks that wrestler is). Just mess with it and it'll start making sense.

My computer is ass, but I'm going to attempt to use GIMP for new faces. That seems to have slowed down, and I really want to have a better likeness for the Von Erich family.
I'm doing pretty good with the move creator, though. It really gets easier the more you make. Play around with small grapples at first, then expand. Go back and fix your old moves as you go. Works for me!
But yeah, I need a Kerry face bad, if anyone has tips.
