So, if we start a new Fire Promotor and add the Stardom stable as one of the CPU controlled promotions, i'm guessing they will also sign men.... :) I mostly don't even touch the mode anymore because of this oversight. All he work I had done leading up to it was on my cosplay/joshi promotion. We need to tweet the boss about this as much as possible before it's too late. There is a problem though that 'female/joshi' isn't a style in the same way that the other styles are represented. It will need to be somewhere else as a toggle. Maybe a list of what types of gender they will consider, so it covers all bases at once. [ ] male [ ] female [ ] male? [ ] female? Although I think the last 2 are outdated, and just break moves at this point. I have to toggle it between matches depending on who people are facing. OR there is the Princess Pepperoni route of making 2 versions of Bessos.

1 friend recommends against this game with a 64 paragraph neckbeard negative review that knocks the edit parts for being 'fairly feminine in nature'. Yeah, it's a bit pricey. But so is everything when you license it. When you go up to a group and propose making a product, there has to be something in it for them too. If every girl in here and Stardom get a cut, depending on the deal, that has to be accounted for. Someone that knows him said Elgin got $5,000 for whatever thatโs worth

I haven't finished the first one, and didn't even start the second one. They are kind of pointless for me.
I'm tired of playing this whiny, snot nosed, emo kid who gets an amazing push from falling on a waterbed to the main event of the biggest show of the year, while being supported and coddled by the people whose jobs they are supplanting.
(elevator music) "Hey deezNUTz420, this is Stone Cold. Don't let those big meanies get you down! I'm sure you're going to tear it up and come take away this title I worked my whole goddamn career for at Wrestlemania in (last year's arena). Just know that auntie Stone Cold is always there for yeah! Swig of youtube for the non-working millennial! OH HELL YEA!" (+50 stats)
Where's the JIMMY KING story mode? Where you get screwed over. You're fat. And two mark sanitation warriors take you to see an old man who can still beat up Sycho Sid and Saturn to whip you back into shape.
Where's the story mode where you languish on the C show for 2 years and then find out you were fired on Reddit?

Also, every wrestler, it seems, has a voice sample called Mic Performance, and it is basically them cutting an entire promo, and I find this completely hilarious. I'm gonna give somebody the Brody bark taunt with one of these samples. Maybe we can finally find a proper Ahmed Johnson scream. edit: These parameter levels are...interesting. I could drop most of these girls right in with my heavyweights. I'll be rescaling a bit there...they would annihilate most of my existing female wrestlers. ๐ Oh yeah, I totally agree here. Women ratings have always been problematic in my eyes (do they get their own, lower, scale or same as the men)? I think I even made a topic here about it sometime. Eventually I went with the lower scale, perhaps slightly adjusted to the upside... For example: Ronda (by far the strongest female) - 157 Io Shirai - 142 Charlotte - 146 Becky - 128 Sasha - 111 Natalya - 108 Liv Morgan - 62 and so on. For comparison, Aja Kong had 98-100 points in previous games and a legend like Manami Toyota had 116. So having Kagetsu at 165 is... problematic :) I was going to remake all edits anyway for attire and logic purposes but now it seems I will have to adjust stats as well.

Well, I think we will get something comparative with SUDA51s DLC The Vanishing... I do really enjoy the Stardom DLC with all the new moves & parts.

I bought the Stardom DLC last night om PS4. Honestly, I don't know much about the promotion.
I'm mixed. While it's cool that another official promotion have signed on, and while it's cool that there are new moves, outfits, music, ring and voices, I am left a little meh.
10 wrestlers isn't much. I wasn't expecting foreigners like Bea Priestly, but surely Stardom has more than 10 Japanese members of its roster.
No Titles. Where's the World Stardom Title? The Goddess of Stardom? High Speed? Artists? I had to use the limited title creation suite to create belts that look nothing like their real life counterparts.
No ref. NJPW has Red Shoes Unno in game, SWA has Mr. Judgment. Why wasn't there a ref for Stardom? Even if they coudn't use a real ref, surely they could have created one.
I still love this game, but it's kinda crazy how they executed some things better on Returns.

I'm updating Kawada with that new running front kick. Yeah I love that. The Spinning Sleeper is awesome as are the new pins. Disgusting bridges. Those f'n bridges make my neck hurt just looking at them! Holy shit the angles!!!! Love them! I may update JET Hamada's finisher to one of them. The spinning sleeper is great and I gave it to JET. I also really love the new stomp to downed opponent and the face wash. Both are excellent moves, especially if paired with a taunt, for heel character work. I already gave THRASH the stomp and am going to give him the "come at me" taunt either before or after it, maybe even further sequence it to a running boot. The new elbows are really great. They aren't killer but are animated well and have nice impact for a junior heavy or even a heavy early in the match. They just have a nice flow and I like that. Not so stiffly animated. I think the new running kick looks great. It's not a killer to me in the same way some other running moves are (especially lariats) but it's a good signature move for someone who has unique movements that fit it. I haven't looked into the parts yet but I eventually will. My focus was mainly on the moves and... OMG the improvement to the edit load menu. ๐ฒ I just...it's a dream. I've wanted this since FPR in 2005. We can FINALLY easily load our edits without scrolling through a huge list (and needing a guide!). I love this. It's so easy to use now and I was loading edits left and right like I was buttering bread. I don't know for sure whether the new edit organization is due to the free patch we all got or due to the DLC but either way I'm so beyond happy we can finally easily load edits like this. It's a game changer to me. And since the game doesn't have to load the giant list and scroll through it, I find there's less lag too. So now only is it easier to find edits because we know where we are, but the process actually takes even less time due to less lag.

I forgot about that update...yah that makes going back to edit so much easier. That was a good move on their part.

What matters is the deal they cut with Stardom. There's a steam sale like every 3 weeks. Just wait a bit.

It's the same shit every time a new DLC drops. "It's not worth the price!" Don't buy it then. I'm serious - People thought the NJPW DLC was too expensive. Shit, people thought the base game was too expensive at ten bucks during Early Access.
You get out of it what you put into it. I've bought every DLC they've made. I even bought the Fire Promoter DLC and I haven't touched it hardly at all. I don't give a shit about NJPW, but I bought those packs for the parts and moves.
You'll never believe why I bought the Stardom DLC...
Because I actually care about the product. I bought it because there was a scathing lack of Female parts; Now I have so many more options to build with. My edits will be more unique. The new moves are great too. I may even make new edits specifically for them; Who knows.
Two bucks per wrestler is a fair deal to me. The lack of attires is fine because they rarely ever wear different attires. Starlight Kid just recently got her STARS gear and even more recently did she start wearing black-pink-silver.
My only real disappointment is that Hazuki didn't come with any new moves (Not counting the Oedo Tai Taunt). But that's nothing in the scale of things.
I knew what I was getting when I paid for it. I did the research. I paid attention to social media (It's actually fantastic for advertising). I knew what the moves would look like ahead of time.
"It's too expensive!"; Then wait for a price drop. Though, by then, those of us who already bought it will have gotten their money's worth.

100% agreed. Every DLC has been worth it to me. If it's not for others, that's fine. But I've gotten my full moneys worth based on the value added to my game experience from each DLC. That's really just what it comes down to. Of course Spike could give us more and charge the same price (or lower) and I certainly wish they did but understand why they didn't. In the end, it's up to me to decide whether it's worth it at that price or whether I should wait to buy it on a discount or not buy it at all.
I have a lot of reasons for buying these DLC on Day 1 (whenever I was available to do that) ranging from supporting Spike (and therefore supporting my own likelihood of getting more Fire Pro material) to just simply feeling like I would get my money's worth. And I haven't been wrong yet.
I also want to do what I reasonably can to help avoid the Spike dry spell we had from 2005 to 2017. (nope nope the Xbox Fire Pro doesn't count nope nope cough) If keeping them engaged means maybe paying a few extra dollars (as if I can accurately and objectively quantify the DLC value being $18 rather than $20 lol) just so that Spike feels they have Day 1 support from their fans and keeps wanting to produce content, then that is a worthwhile investment in future enjoyment for me.
I've never actually seen a Stardom match but I already see a ton of value for my edits from this DLC ranging from moves to a ton more female parts (and OG-Joshi/LAWL are both elated to see anything that can get me producing their edits again). Sure I'd love even more of both as well as more alternate outfits and Fire Promoter capability. There's no doubt about that. But this is the DLC package they produced so its up to me to decide whether its worth it at all or at full. Easy answer for me but mileage may vary for others. I just don't know if people waiting to buy it at a discount will signal to Spike that the DLC was too expensive/not loaded enough OR would signal a disinterest in the DLC itself or the game. "Voting with your dollar" is not always taken so clearly by companies without a specific reason given for not purchasing something or doing it right away.
I really hope Spike does continue work on the game. I feel like there are still things they can do to enhance the game from their end before its (very hopefully) giftwrapped and given to the modders.
