I got one. Didn't think I would, knew they were going to sell out in hours at best but I snagged a pre-order for a PS5 Pro. Couldn't even get into the PS Direct que at all, never even got it working. Checked the Amazon.ca app and they didn't even have the Pro listed. I figured I might be doing something wrong to try and get into PS Direct so I googled PS5 Pro Preorder Canada. First thing that came up was a Reddit thread where two days ago someone had posted hotlinks directly to PS5 Pro pre-order webpages for Amazon.ca, Walmart.ca and BestBuy.ca.
Clicked on the Amazon.ca link and it took me directly to PS5 Pro's open pre-order page. Got one on my first break of the day at work. Checked out the other two sites and their pre-orders were open so I let people know on Gamefaqs for any Canadians who weren't able to get into PS Direct as a lot of people were having problems. When I went to my second break of the day an hour and a half later and checked Amazon, pre-orders maxed out and closed. Checked Walmart, pre-orders maxed out and closed. BestBuy was still taking pre-orders but I didn't bother to check again to see if they had sold out, I just assume they did. All the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition models sold in 5 minutes after pre-orders opened so I had no chance at one of those.
Pricey though for Canada. After taxes $1104.00 for the system + $123.00 for the hard disc drive which I have paid for but still on back order and a 2TB SSD at $205. I'm actually holding off on ordering the SSD because Amazon Prime sales are October 8th and 9th and I might be able to get it cheaper. Amazingly this will take most of a two week paycheck but I will still have a couple hundred left over and a little extra fortune, November is a 3 pay month for me instead of a 2 pay month so everything just kinda fell coincidentally into place.
