Hey look, it's a two-fer! First STRUGGLE SESSION #8 contains a rundown of the entire WAR PARTY 2021 card, plus dark and foreboding foreshadowing of things to come!
Basically, all this nonsense exists in my head as what the Netflix version of GLOW would be like with a 75% male cast, a setting where pro wrestling is real, and far fewer desperate attempts to find any reason to show boobies, and this monstrosity is an illustration of that. Of course, I'm lazy and typed it up about five minutes at a time on my phone during downtime from work, so it's in the usual script format, which is something I need to stop doing, but fuck it, you're not paying for this. Anyway, should you choose to continue, prepare for WORLD BUILDING! EXPOSITION! SHOCKING REVELATIONS! RAMPANT DRUG USE! CHEESE PRODUCT! HOME REPAIR! As well as OL' ROSS GRACIE: ROCK 'N ROLL ICON! Features special appearances by Debbie Harry, Jeremy Renner, Wendy O. Williams, and Varg Vikernes. I would say "don't worry, it'll all make sense," but it won't.
Anyway, as for the next show, WAR PARTY 2021 should happen next week, and I'm shooting for Saturday. Possibly at the usual time of somewhere between 8 and 9pm Central time, but I'm strongly considering doing it early, around the time I used to do house show streams, which would be closer to 11am or noon. Either way, expect the usual drive-by announcement, roughly 30-60 minutes in advance, followed by me running dark matches almost immediately after the post is made. Then again, a hundred calamities could take place between then and now, so who knows, really? I'm so good at this. Anyway, about 75% of the card has already been recorded (mainly in the name of adding entrances to match types that don't have them, as well as working around some wonkiness with the Component Disable mod interacting with a couple others) and I already know the endings of four of the matches, but for the record, the RNG decided everything, and I'll still try to act surprised by things if there's anyone in the chat at the time. anyway, BE THERE, YEEEAAHHH

Decided to kick things off early, probably around 1:00 central time (or in about thirty minutes) which is to say I'll probably just start running dark matches until it feels like a good time to start the actual show. Also, a decent chance (near certainty, probably) that I'll be called away for real life nonsense at some point, so just consider it a two-parter as part of the Tri-State County Fair if that happens, with part two more than likely happening either later tonight or maybe even tomorrow night, who knows. Also of note is that as part of the mysterious and unpredictable El Pendejo weather phenomenon, things are getting, to put it lightly, unseasonably cool in the Tri-State Area right now, but it isn't expected to affect live attendance, because it's already past noon and everyone's already drunk.

Finally got around to some housekeeping on the OFFICIAL STRUGGLE PRO WEBSITE, although it is still pretty hugely neglected overall. Apparently, I had actually put a date on the last update to the injury page, and it was in June 2019. Good lord. Sloooowly starting to update the few profile pages I had made and add at least a few more of "main character" types. So Far, I've got Ace, Becky, BBM, Jezebel, Skip,and Yumiko updated and ready to go, with more on the way. Also got all the championships updated. Hell yeeeeeeaaah, logisitiiiiiics!
(Probably worth pointing out - The new profile pages for them include links to up-to-date edits of Big Bird Machine and Skip Legday, so long as you use the ModPack - Now that I think about it, though, the Skip upload might have some priority problems I think I forgot to fix, or maybe I did? I DON'T KNOW!)

LOGISTICS, YEEEAAAH! President Evil's profile is updated to the new styles, with a little more historical-type information than what was previously there, which was just copy-pasted from his workshop page and the Creativity thread. Speaking of historical-type information, I don't think I ever mentioned THE APPENDIX, which is pretty much a dumping ground for the STRUGGLEverse lore that clogs my brain when I'm bored. I need to add more dumb nonsense to it, though. |
