I'm really looking forward to tonights show. If round 2 is even half as good as round 1 then it'll still be a very good show indeed. The best thing about events like this is seeing edits who you may not be too familiar with go out and steal the show and there's been no shortage of show-stealing so far :) As for George I think he had a pretty decent showing and it was great to see him score the win. I've had feedback in the past that maybe he struggled to finish matches and/or would be guilty of dragging out matches beyond their entertainment value so I've made changes over the past month or two and he seems to be much more consistent when it comes to ending matches... but holy shit he hit three reverse power bombs in one match, I don't think I've ever seen him hit that many in a singles match before xD Haha, oh well it scored him the win so I'm not complaining I guess. Hopefully this is a one-off and I haven't created a move spamming monster.
Bring on round 2!

I'll admit... sometimes this thing can turn into a bit of a slog. Sometimes things don't gel the way you hope. It happens. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/455769686Youtube: youtu.be/Qg7D-SiBR20Quick Results Tsaoring Chou def. Cody 999 def. Didi Taylor Maverick Reed def. Daniel Shine Joey McCarty def. George Marleau Broman Gains def. Justice Nikki Knux def. Canadian Grizzly Cecilia Laurence def. Spectre Ford Rebecca Roxx def. Selene Ciel Write-ups Tsaoring Chou continues to bring his impressive high-flying skills to the tournament, and they're continuing to serve him well. An impressive win over Cody here, though not without a strong fight from the purple-wearing mystery man. 999 continues to put forth strong performances, though it wasn't quite an easy time with Didi Taylor here. Still, the man from Oshawa keeps moving forward... and could be a tough one to finally take down. Maverick Reed somehow managed to out-tech the technician. As impressive as Shine was, bringing his array of submissions and suplexes to bear, Reed managed to stay in the fight with his usual style, and eventually caught Shine in a backslide to pick up the surprise flash victory. This was an uphill battle for Joey McCarty, but there can be no doubt that he stepped up to the challenge. While Marleau did his best to overpower McCarty, it wasn't quite enough to stop the Double-Arm DDT from taking him down for the win. This was an adventure and a half... what with Broman still not really knowing what a "brainbuster" is, for one thing. This one kept going for a good while, with neither seeming to really get the upper hand... but a series of overhand blows, and a running splash from Gains, and it came to an end in victory for him. No doubt in anyone's mind: Nikki Knux has come to make a statement this year, after a somewhat underwhelming showing last year. She took the fight to Grizzly from the start, and while he put up a fight, Knux would not be denied... and she forced a submission victory, in a big way, to move on to the quarterfinal. Spectre Ford's strategy from his match against the Magician... wasn't exactly feasible against Cecilia Laurence. Unable to bite through the helmet, he resorted to trying to pull it off... all the while, Laurence was her usual self, using said helmet to great effect until she landed a big Moonstomp to pick up the win. Rebecca Roxx was on a mission tonight. Across from last year's tournament champion, she showed no fear... and while Selene Ciel threw all she had at the ZIP regular, Rebecca eventually came roaring out with a huge Stunner, and shocked the world... scoring the biggest upset of the tournament to move on to the quarterfinal. The final night of the tournament will be this Wednesday. This could be subject to change based on how long it takes to get the matches done in a satisfactory form, but I don't see it taking any longer than that. If I do have to delay, I'll let you all know here ASAP, but for now, expect the show Wednesday, July 24, 6PM Pacific... the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final match will be on that show, along with a couple of extra matches to act as a buffer between the rounds.

Seriously shocked that Tsaoring has managed to last this long and am very happy he's putting on fun matches. He tends to be the "heat build" face for a lot of my rising heels. He entertains and competes but rarely gets the win against his rivals and allies. I'm really glad that he's doing his part to entertain ๐
This may result in an ubble push for him! Keep soaring through those skies, Tsaoring! ๐
Selene/Roxx sounded awesome ๐

All aboard the hype train for tonight :D Obviously gutted that George is out but damn he came so close, whiffing a spear by inches! The match was decent however so I'm more than happy with his performance. Good luck to Marty McMarty moving forwards :)
My heart wants Tsaoring Chou to take it but my head says Nikki Knux. Bring on the finals!

Well, it's all done and dusted, once again. Thanks all for the submissions, for viewing, for keeping up on things... for making predictions. I don't think this went the way anyone was predicting, though, that's for sure. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/457604325Youtube: youtu.be/tFkk5gJA_xwQuick Results Maverick Reed def. Tsaoring Chou Joey McCarty def. 999 Cecilia Laurence def. Broman Gains Rebecca Roxx def. Nikki Knux
Canadian Grizzly def. Uncle Slam
Maverick Reed def. Cecilia Laurence Rebecca Roxx def. Joey McCarty
Didi Taylor won the battle royal
REBECCA ROXX DEF. MAVERICK REED TO WIN THE 49TH PARALLEL TOURNAMENT Write-ups Quarterfinals and Bonus #1 Tough matchup here for Chou, who finally ran into someone that could handle his supreme agility. Reed eventually overpowered him and landed a huge jumping knee to finish the job. McCarty's near single-minded brawler's instinct just kept carrying him here, beating down 999 and landing a sharp Double Arm DDT to move on to the semifinal. Broman's power was definitely a factor... but so was Cecilia's speed and agility, and ultimately, her quick thinking. A fast roll-up scored the surprising win, and Cecilia went on to face Maverick Reed. One of the most hard-nosed, Canadian brawls you're likely to ever get. Knux and Roxx went at it hard, but Roxx finally got the upper hand with the Stunner... once again proving just how dangerous she really is. You have to be, when you wrestle for ZIP Japan. Canada continues to show up for the 49th, no doubt... Grizzly was on a mission, fighting for the Dungeon Sharpshooter three separate times, and picked up the win. Semifinal and the battle royal Maverick Reed's run just kept going, as he eventually managed to catch Cecilia Laurence with his Kamigoye, luckily not damaging his own knee in the process of striking that helmet. Another strong brawl from these two... unbelievable, then, that Roxx, fresh off of another vicious match, still managed to come out ahead as she put McCarty away... with what else, the STUNNER. Match of the tournament. Match of the year. Match of the century. Nothing else needs to be said, Didi Taylor is the best, this was solid fucking gold and maybe the best battle royal ever. THE FINAL A war that wouldn't be out of place in either wrestler's home feds... Warrior Pro, ZIP Japan, both would welcome a brawl like this one, and they damn well made it an intense one. Rebecca Roxx, though, true to her background, WOULD NOT GIVE IN. And once again, like every single match of hers in the tournament... the STUNNER was the deciding factor, even when her opponents began to use it against her in the effort to stop her progress. It was not to be. Rebecca Roxx, ZIP Japan regular, painfully overlooked in her home fed... has won the 49th Parallel Tournament. And so it all comes to an end, with one hell of a ride. Thank you, all, for this once again rolling along mostly without issue. And congratulations to Roxx, to Deni, and to everyone who maybe fell short but still put on some damn fine matches.

Congratulations on putting together an excellent tournament!!!! It was entertaining throughout and had some great matches, rivalries, and exposure opportunities for characters!
Congratulations to Rebecca Roxx and Denizen. That victory feels extra meaningful right now ๐
Congratulations to Maverick Reed and Lanky for an extremely strong showing and Finals appearance!!
Maverick also finally "figured" Tsaoring out after Tsaoring's SHOCKING (to me) rise to the Quarterfinals...which will result in an increased UBL push for him and maybe some new hot merch!
Looks like there were some real BANGER matches in the Quarters and Semis too!

Awesome event, thank a ton for running this again FireHawk.
Some amazing matches this year, and that tourney final was "out of this world" good. I'm honestly shocked by the result, in a good way :D

Ditto Geese and Deni. What a fantastic event! I think there mightโve been one or two iffy matches but otherwise pretty much every single bout delivered. And holy shit what a star making performance from Rebecca Roxx! Not only did she bloody go and win the thing but she had arguably the three best matches of the entire tournament. Actually, the women in general really performed well and I think put the guys to shame in terms of match quality.
Overall brilliant stuff and I canโt wait for next year ;)

I was just thinking about this and would like to offer Rebecca Roxx a shot at the PWR Multiverse Championship if her handler allows it.
