Someone would like to have a word with you. There's also someone else*. *He's retired, but his name is spelled the same.

So, I need to level with everyone here. Like, I feel like I have to remind people of a few things.
#1: Yes, I know, I've mentioned already that I don't want to shame anyone about their edits and I won't have anyone taking shots at people because of it. This doesn't mean, however, that I'm going to overlook things that I notice, especially if I spot something weird during testing. If an edit's blowing through people without any hesitation, I notice that. If they're taking forever to finish a match, I notice that. If they're doing random pins in Critical, you better believe I'm noticing that.
Which brings me to #2: I've been seeing a lot of the above. And I do mean a lot. I've seen edits with random pins in Critical damage, which every single guide around here, and every single veteran, has known is a "DO NOT DO THIS" for literally years, now, and yet... it still keeps coming up. If I spot your edit doing random pins in Critical and finishing matches off of random-ass moves, I'm liable to tell you to pick a different edit or do something about it. I don't want to be rude. I don't want to chase people away from this event. But a match that ends that way sucks to watch, especially when it takes 30 minutes to get to that point because in spite of the random pins it still somehow never manages to finish the job.
Related to this: the reason that certain edits I receive show up and start blowing through everyone in sight: I open up the edit to find out why every match ends in ten minutes with a dominant victory and I see multiple 7-8 offensive parameters staring back at me. That means the edit, especially if they use those high-offense parameters a lot in their moveset, is going to hit like a truck from the bell, and probably slaughter everyone in their path no matter what their defenses look like.
Look, I'm gonna sound just a little bit elitist here. I understand that, and I understand that I'm gonna maybe look like the bad guy here, I'm gonna look like a dick for saying it. But I can't in good conscience accept edits that do the above. Please, everyone, take a second look at your edits and double-check what I've mentioned. If you're running more than 5 offense in something (other than Joint/Stretch because seriously if you want those doing damage it's almost necessary), you need to justify it.
For a lot of you, you don't need to be reminded of this. But... let's make sure we know the score, here, OK? I won't be calling anyone out here publicly, that's a promise.

So, here we are approaching the start of June... and the bracket's still sitting with a few Canadians yet to be chosen.
I'm going to open things up to second entries. I was hoping not to do it, but it seems that's gonna be the only way to get the job done. There's four empty slots left open for Canada, so throw 'em in there ASAP.
As for the rest of you who've signed up but I'm still waiting on submissions, get 'em in. I'm gonna have to declare a hard deadline now of June 15th: get your edits finished and submitted before then, please.
I'll start doing more testing this weekend to see what I might need to do.

That brings us down to two. No pressure now 'cause I do have two Canadian edits (but I'd prefer not to have to fill both myself, lel. Mostly 'cause Christina Wagner isn't ready for this shit.)

Aroo's got the next one.
So I'll give it until the 15th and then if nobody takes that last canadian spot I'll chuck Blake Dynamite into the mix or whatever.

I'll throw Rebecca Roxx into the mix for Canada If she performs as gutsy as she did against Psycho Witch, Roxx could be a dark horse to take this one.

All right, that oughta take care of things, save for the ones I'm still waiting on. I'll probably nudge some people sometime soon.

We're very, very close to finishing things up. I've got a couple of things I need to do before I get going in earnest, but I can set up the brackets here soon, and once I get the last couple of edits (and responses on a couple of situations) I think we'll be good to go and I can think about setting a start date for July.
