Along with that, Matsumoto posted on Twitter that work has begun on parts, moves, and data for two major names from 2018 New Japan, current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White and LIJ's newest member Shingo Takagi; as well as Henare and Yujiro Takahashi. No release date or further info at the moment, however. I wonder if this will be new DLC or they'll update the previous DLCs.

They could just be in a normal content patch, giving even those without DLC purchases a little something. Kind of like a free bonus for all. It isn’t unheard of.

This is awesome. The Campana is Angel de Oro’s finish. I guess I’ll have an excuse to make that edit. It could also be used for La Mascara and Colt Cabana. Good addition.

The campana is such a basic/common move in lucha libre it might aswell be an armdrag or flying headscissor.

Campana is a Bull Nakano staple as well. I asked for this a few months ago in one of those threads. The Hurricane used to do it all the time. THen he'd walk over to the corner and swing their heads into the turnbuckle. :) I wonder if this will be new DLC or they'll update the previous DLCs. We still have "Birth of a Legend" coming out. I want new arenas. I'd pay 5$ each for them a-la carte. I wish they would release the move editor already. I have so many dance taunts, and off the wall moves I want to put in. Like Johnny Cage's split ball punch.

Is the move editor a thing that's really happening? Probably not. It was his stated "secret weapon". Only modders can add moves right now.

matsumoto outright said that it was their final planned item for firepro, with the intent of keeping the game alive indefinitely.
i dunno if spilling the beans about it means it's no longer happening, but never say never, i guess.
the interface is there... sort of, in earlier builds. it may have been a developer tool instead, but i imagine they had their own software for compiling the animation data. it is what was used to make modded moves, though because it's rather poorly optimized and only half-functional, making animations is a good bit more trial-and-error than you'd expect; and the mod itself pretty much doubles the RAM overhead for firepro. since it's a 32 bit application, there's a hard limit to how many moves can be modded in using carl's method.

The Campana is one of those moves that I'm shocked HASN'T been in yet. Naruki Doi used it for years and years, it's a lucha libre staple, etc.
The same with the knuckle arrow rush, as it's clearly something meant for Inoki.

My heart yearns for video clips of nut-kick criticals now.

i dunno if spilling the beans about it means it's no longer happening, but never say never, i guess. I was just on the bus thinking of this. Imagine a move where you go for the spear set up in the corner. You really build it up like something big. Then you run full speed, stop short inches away, and do a nut kick or a eye poke. :D I'll bank that for later. Call it the "I can't drive 55".

I remember hex editing the shit out of Smackdown 2 using an action replay to make new moves by basically merging two together.
Like making a military press that ends in a tombstone. Finding the move id, then the id for the correct frame of the move animation where you want it to end (through trial and error) and then having the ids for the other move at the right animation point to essentially make “seamless” animation transitions and get your completed move. It was fun.

Rain Maker Through
edit: I thought it was a mist move but after watching it, it just leaves them dazed. This is great.

That's actually pretty cool.
Still would like to see a Rainmaker that can chain, as Lil Kazu is prone to doing, but that's pretty cool.
