To be fair though, that does look pretty cool. The only reason I haven't picked up the Castlevania one is that I already have all of those games except the apparently-not-stellar game boy ones. But the original (NES) Contra's not really on anything, for some reason, and it's pretty badass you get the arcade versions, too. Will definitely think about picking that up.

I've heard two stories about that. The first one goes back to when Nintendo was first setting up the Virtual Console for the Wii. They sent forms to the various companies asking what games they wanted hosted on it, somebody at Konami goofed and forgot about Contra somehow, and nobody else thought to correct this later. Alternatively, they may have just lost the source code for the longest time. Really, though, there's no telling for certain. |

It’s likely that not too many people here care , but in the past, if you watched the M$ E3 presentation through their streaming platform of choice, you usually get a “gift” game or two (got the rare replay pack and some other crap a couple of years ago, and last year it was Outer Wilds and some other shot like avatar shoes or something.). Anyway, just thought I’d give y’all a heads up! (And if nothing else, it’s fun to count the “but we didn’t stop there”s that bumble out of the blazer and jean wearing goofballs that are just one of us!)

I watched it on the box itself using Xbox interactive “app” a couple of years ago, and last year it streamed on mixer. Funny thing was a day or two after I watched the first one, there was a shit ton of stuff in my download cue, and I freaked out because I thought someone hacked my shit! I messaged M$ with my concern, and they told me that it was a “gift” for checking out the presentation. I think I watched the replay (not the live one) on mixer for 2018, and still got the gift. I hope they have one this year, and I’m sorry I didn’t spread the news sooner! |

Well we're getting Crash Team Racing and Samurai Shodown this month, it was also just announced the RTS strategy title They Are Billions is hitting PS4 next month. I have it on PC but will totally buy it again on PS4. Very addictive and frustrating as hell to play.
