Info dump on Final Fantasy VII leaked on reddit. So this is not 'official' confirmed info on the game yet, but definitely sounding plausible for the new game.

Yeah, I'm getting major "Kingdom Hearts 3" vibes from this thing
sure, we know it will happen.......eventually
It's good not to rush things but at the same time, why not wait until the game is closer to release to announce it?
Do other people really enjoy 5-10 years of anticipation for games? I sure as hell don't.

Well the pre-order thing seems to be right. Someone just let me know Gamestop just started taking pre-orders for Episode 1. It was actually listed on Amazon.ca back in 2015 when the original reveal trailer came out. I pre-ordered it then, but Amazon.ca had since removed the pre-order listing over a year ago, although my pre-order is still intact so I'll still be getting episode 1 at the E3 sale discounted price that Amazon used to do.

I liked FF VII just like everyone else back in the day, but do we need to play it AGAIN? Just thinking about the Ruby and Emerald Weapons makes me want to jump legs first ( for maximum pain) into a flipped over running lawnmower, because that pain would be preferable to the aneurysm inducing, controller snapping agony generated in that virtual exercise of infinite futility. I’d love to hear the estimated global kill count for those two sons of whores over the years. 🙂

Yes. Just like Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Tactics, Secret of Mana and all the other games from Square's Golden Era.

Hmm, perhaps. Speaking of FF Tactics, I wonder when we'll see a proper sequel to that monster? Not a remake, but a SEQUEL? I loved Tactics, and as awesome as it was to beat it, it sucked at the same time, because when it was over, it was OVER. Left me wanting more, but that's all there has been for over twenty years. Time to dust off tactics properly (keep FFT Advance, that was junk. Got a GBA advance back in the day specifically for Fire Pro Advance and FT Advance, 100% worth it for FPA, wish I could say the same for FFT Advance. :( ).
I wonder why they haven't considered revamping/revisiting Vagrant Story? That was a pretty bad ass idea that I think would work really well with todays consoles, they had some great ideas that were tough to pull off pushing the limits of the PS at the end of its life cycle.

As much as I would like to see them recreate games like Vagrant Story or Final Fantasy Tactics, I feel as though Squeenix doesn't hear that herd moo as loudly as the rest of the cash cows.

Sony demos PS5 load time vs PS4 Pro. This is going to make games with brutal load times (Soulsborne series) much more bearable.
Dreamcastguy with some rumors on the PS5.

The original Blaster Master was definitely a regular rental from the local corner store during the NES era. There was a pretty limited selection of games there, so we would frequently rent the same games over and over every weekend. I heard the original was on the Switch store as well. I don't know if I will wait to get the Switch version when I pick one up or if I will get this on steam first.
In other news, PS5 graphic info.

I don't know if I will wait to get the Switch version when I pick one up or if I will get this on steam first. I had a lot of fun with the original. I never finished it though but it was one of my favorite NES games. When I really think back to it, the NES era was incredible. While the SNES era had FFVI (and therefore wins forever) and other excellent games, the NES era really competed quite well. My favorite NES rental of all time was Tecmo World Wrestling which the store called "Jolzz" and said was the import version. First time I ever needed an import adapter which feels monumental in retrospect given where my gaming fandom led 😎
