I am ridiculously hype for Metroid Dread but also unsure if i'm going to be able to tear myself away from Guilty Gear long enough to play it. Dread looks so fucking good.

I’m stoked for Dread as well, I think it will be amazing, it’s certainly had enough time to simmer and improve completely off the radar. Also pretty pumped fo the castlevania advance collection. Even at full price that’s a great deal!
If you need to scratch the itch for the next couple of weeks while you wait or Dread and you somehow missed this the first time around, please go yourselves a favour and check out Shadow Complex! One of the few games I started playing again immediately after finishing it!

It’s been rumored for months, but Sony confirms today they have acquired Blue Point Games who are divided into two teams. One working on an existing IP and the other working on an all new IP.
Also in today's news: Konami potentially set to remove head from ass.
Additionally a certain leaker has reported the Chinese developer Virtuous is working on a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake and that the entire Solid series of Metal Gear games are either getting Remakes or Remasters for the current generation of consoles.
EDIT: Also completely forgot that Phoenix Point, the spiritual successor to Xcom launches on consoles today

The Konami rumors gaining more traction, Konami not denying anything either.
Bloodborne remaster is also the game heavily being hinted at as the Bluepoint project in the works.

I don't even know what this is, but I love it.
Also a nice preview vid on some of the upcoming reworked mechanics for Warhammer Total War 3.

Also Darkest Dungeon II about to enter early access October 26th
Already pre-ordered digital on PS4 myself, but may double dip on a physical PS5 copy.

I know there's been a lot of debate about the updated graphics but I really like them.
Also glad that the control schemes will more or less mirror GTA 5. It makes it easier to hop back and forth.
I played GTA 3 for the first time relatively late compared to others. But the experience I had is one of the most memorable game experiences I ever had. I use the word "awesome" a lot but the actual historical, literal usage of the word corresponds to my experience with GTA 3. I was really impressed at how large the initial area of Liberty City was and had no idea there were other areas I could explore. Then I used a "big jump" cheat to jump over the bridge in the North West corner of the first area of the map...only to find that I ended up in an entirely new area that was just as big!! My mind was completely blown - I was in literal awe. I suddenly felt the sheer scope of the game and was momentarily overwhelmed in the most incredible immersive way. That was my first true "a-ha" moment with open world games. It continued with San Andreas, got kicked up about 10000 notches with Red Dead, it's sequel, and GTA 5. (I never played Vice City or GTA 4).
So I'm pretty excited to revisit GTA 3 and give Vice City a try. I loved San Andreas but I kind of don't see playing that so much since I regularly play GTA 5. Just last week I visited Grove Street 😁
