I'm guessing from your previous posts that you're playing Quake on a console, so I don't know if this advice is helpful, but I often find that I can get rid of motion sickness issues in FPS games by fiddling with settings. I know there are some games where turning on or off vysnc was the difference between a comfortable experience and feeling like death after an hour.

Yeah, playing Quake on a docked switch. I’ll mess with the settings, I’m sure the turning speed will help a lot. The default gyro aiming thing was enough to make me almost wretch out of the gate, so I turned that shit off right away. That’s only the third game to do that to me, I’m usually pretty solid and don’t have issues, but this one got me.

Ah, yeah. Gyro aiming is a really really ymmv thing in FPS games and it depends on both the individual game's implementation and the individual player. I usually love it but I know people who find games just unplayable that way, and individual implementations can vary wildly in quality and usability. Sounds like you hit one that hits your brain exactly wrong. Hope you can fix it up because Quake is a damn fine game.

Completely missed this trailer from Gamescom. Holy crap, let me pre-order now. I think it's just PC and Xbox now though.

The Metal Gear tribute looks interesting. Hope it's as fun as the concept.
Definitely looking forward to Spider Man 2 and God of War 2.....if I ever get a PS5 that's not $800
>_>
Wolverine has never been my favorite mutant but I'm sure an Insomniac game starring him would be pretty fun so mark my thought down as "piqued"

Some truly interesting and next gen announcements, especially the Insomniac Wolverine game I didn’t even know I’d be interested in!
It’s probably just me, but I feel like gamers are being trolled by shit like this and Microsoft’s game expo thing. Why advertise this shit when you can’t get a console anywhere unless the rare one pops up at double the price?

Darkest Dungeon was a weird one for me. I felt like I consistently enjoyed everything about it except actually playing the game. I wanted to like it so badly but it somehow just never quite "clicked" with me. I'll probably end up buying the sequel at some point just because the audiovisual package is so appealing that it can carry me through a number of hours. Assuming it ever comes to a platform I play on, which Epic is not.

It'll be interesting this time around as they've changed up the gameplay formula from the first game quite a bit.

The Cathay faction revealed for Warhammer Total War III. Cathay has thus far only been mentioned in the Warhammer lore and I don't think it has even appeared as a playable faction on the tabletop game yet. Cathay obviously being the Warhammer universe version of China.
Also a big PS5 System update for any lucky enough to have one thus far.
