Is there a trick to getting scouts to find someone? Do longer sets of months increase your odds? (ie. Three months instead of just one)

My scouts seem pretty useless 75% of the time. I send them on year-long journeys and they come back completely empty-handed. So sending them for a year isn't a guarantee of success.
I'm sure the success of scouting relies on some RNG-based algorithm.
If i was to guess, here are factors that probably play into success:
1) The home region of your promotion. 2) The popularity of your promotion. 3) The preferred region of the scouts themselves.
I have been trying to get my scouts to find free agents in Europe (as there are none available to me) and they can't seem to find any. I know I can send my wrestlers on Training Expeditions to a region too as they sometimes come back with friends they found in that region that are free agents. I've had more success finding free agents through wrestler Training Expeditions as I have had with scouts.

What exactly determines a wrestlers style? I have a Shinsuke Nakmura who is stoic style and alot of the AJPW edits i downloaded are strong style. Do we even have a clue?

What's the sense of having promotions in game that have less than 6 wrestlers? And why these (and all the others) promotions can't sign more wrestlers in their roster? It's a shame seeing that even the most rich and famous promotion hasn't more than 16 wrestlers...

I have not tried it out yet. it's one of the the main reasons i stopped playing promoter since the AI was useless.

I've had the DLC installed for quite some time now and never started playing around with it. But I have seen some of the sponsors that are included in the DLC as ring mats. Is it possible to extract these somehow? Or do they show up in the decal section in the FPWW folder? I think they'd be pretty cool to use on some custom aprons and whatnot. :)

Is there a way you can hire more then one wrestler a month? Got my show with decent ratings but keep losing out on wrestlers as I can only sign one per month. Thanks in advance[

Hi so I've been playing my in game for 3 years now. I have built up a solid roster of around 20 wrestlers with 4 single belts. Can anyone give me some tips and advice on how to make it a little more exciting as I'm just having single matches with the same wrestlers to keep popularity up. How can I make it a bit more real life, like having story lines and keeping it a bit more spontaneous with fights? Thanks

How can I make it a bit more real life, like having story lines and keeping it a bit more spontaneous with fights? Thanks That is theater of the mind, my friend. Fire Promoter, being a tycoon game rather than a wrestling sim, isn't really designed to generate and consider feuds. This being said, if you have a general understanding of how wrestling booking (and storytelling itself) works, you can pretty easily make up your own storylines and feuds to explain why matches are happening between any number of wrestlers. A round robin tournament stretching over a few months with your most popular wrestlers is a good place to start. G1 Climax style. Take, say, your eight top wrestlers and split them into two blocks of four wrestlers. That'll give you twelve matches, plus a blow off between the winners of the two blocks. Spin off some feuds based on who beats who over the course of that tournament. When the tournament concludes, you'll have a few feuds to play with. Maybe the winner gets a shot at your top champion. There's another feud. After that, have a one month, single elimination, eight person tournament to generate some more feuds. Winner of that gets a shot at another title. Or spread that eight person tournament out over a few months and those matches as supplemental matches to fill out your card concurrent with the round robin. Throw in a Lethal Lottery after that. Make eight teams of "random" wrestlers and have a tournament. The winning team then competes against each other to earn a title shot. The best way to book professional wrestling is a series of tournaments supplemented by exhibition and grudge matches. Because otherwise...why are matches even happening?

Hi just wondering on how popularity works. I've got a young wrestler signed (21) who is going to be a future prospect for my company but how do I work on building his popularity how does it work in the game? I'm booking him every week but he's not ready to beat my better rated wrestlers. Does it work on winning matches or will be become popular the more I use him in my events? Thanks

I've found the best way to raise popularity was to have them defeat wrestlers of a higher popularity in matches that get a strong match rating (above 90%). If you aren't ready to have him beat higher rated wrestlers in your own promotion, offer invite spots to higher rated wrestlers from other promotions (who preferably work the same style as your own) and have your wrestler defeat them.
Thing is, it can still take 3-4 in-game months to really see a raise in the popularity ranking.
