Promo Time with Tomi ZIP!
*camera fades in on Tomi ZIP standing in front of a large ZIP JAPAN banner, microphone in hand. On her left is Wataru Nakajima, on her right, the hulking form of Thunder Fist. Nakajima is dressed in a natty business suit and tie, but Thunder Fist is wearing a very ugly green sweater and his hideous tribal mask.*
Tomi: <Hello, fans! Tomi ZIP here, with an exclusive interview for you with both members of the infamous team Storm of the Century! Both of these men will be competing in singles matches at Bloody Matrimony, which is less than a week away! Let's hear from Nakajima first!>
*Tomi turns towards Nakajima and bows slightly*
Tomi: <Hello, Nakajima-san, welcome back to ZIP JAPAN!>
*He ruffles her hair playfully*
Nakajima: <Hey, little Tomi-chan, it's great to be here again. It feels like home.>
Tomi: <I hear you've been a very busy man since the last ZIP JAPAN show in 2019. What have you been doing?>
Nakajima: <I've been very fortunate indeed! My exposure to Western audiences thanks to ZIP JAPAN has led to some pretty steady outside work for me during this lengthy hiatus. Of course Thunder Fist and I were very active in the Pan African Tour last year, and more recently I've had some singles success competing in the Old Guard division of TIPWF in America, including holding the Old Guard Title for a while there. So I've kept myself busy and in good shape.>
*Nakajima beams with pride at his accomplishments*
Tomi: <Incredible. And no signs of slowing down? You're not planning to retire any time soon are you?>
Nakajima: *shocked* <Retire? Of course not, I'll be 68 in May, I'm not that old. That's why I was surprised when I heard that Reiko has put me into a "loser leaves ZIP JAPAN" match against TheDenizen. I'm very proud of my ZIP JAPAN career, which has spanned more than 30 years and one day in the distant future I hope to have my final match here. So, I'm sorry Denizen-san, but I will do everything in my power to defeat you!> *he puts up his dukes* <This "old man" still has plenty of fight in him, let's see if you can handle the Patriarch of ZIP JAPAN!>
Tomi: *bowing again* <Thank you Nakajima-san, for your comments.> *Tomi turns to face the camera again* <And now let's hear from Nakajima's partner, Thunder Fist!>
*Tomi bows to Fist before addressing him*
Tomi: <Welcome back to ZIP JAPAN, Mr Fist! What have you been up to since the fans saw you last?>
Thunder Fist: *speaking in a clear and cultured voice* <Well, Tomi, it's been a time of exciting personal growth for me. As you can tell, I've vastly improved my conversational Japanese and taught myself how to knit- I made this sweater myself, you know. I also spent some time learning the ancient art of acupuncture.>
*Tomi and Nakajima are both staring at Thunder Fist, jaws hanging open, but he doesn't notice their reaction and continues*
Thunder Fist: <I have accepted the odd outside booking to wrestle, of course, I'll never lose my love of competition. But mostly I've been keeping to my studies, as well as operating a small acupuncture clinic in Osaka. Do you have any need for acupuncture therapy? I'd be delighted to give you a discount. Here, let me get you a business card...>
*Thunder Fist reaches into his pocket for a business card, but trails off as he glances over and sees Tomi and Nakajima gawping at him*
Thunder Fist: <Oh. Um, sorry. Did you have more questions?>
Tomi: *stunned* <Um, yeah. Uh, you're booked to face Mad Bomber on February 18th. What are your thoughts on the match?>
Thunder Fist: <I'm really looking forward to it. Mad Bomber has always been a very credible opponent...>
*Fist trails off again as he glances over at Tomi and Nakajima sharing an incredulous look*
Thunder Fist: <I'm sorry, is there something wrong?>
Tomi: <Uh, no. No. I apologize Mr Fist, this is just so surprising! You're so...so different.>
Thunder Fist: <Surprising? Did you really think I would remain a babbling barbarian forever, Tomi?>
Tomi: <Um, well, no. I guess not...but, well I suppose the fans and I just have certain....expectations?>
*Thunder Fist closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly. When his eyes open, he flips the switch*
Thunder Fist: *bellowing and swinging his arms like a maniac* <FIST...CRUSH...BOMBERMAN!! NAKAJEEMA...SMASH...BEARDYMAN!!! NAKAJEEMA FIST...CHAMPIONS....FOREVER!!!!!!!!>
*Tomi immediately turns to the camera*
Tomi: <Well, there you have it folks! ZIP JAPAN Bloody Matrimony will be held this Friday, February 18! Until next time, this is Tomi ZIP, signing off!>
*Thunder Fist can be seen facepalming in the background as Tomi flashes a peace sign and the screen fades to black*
