and despite the wife crack, which I'll even admit was probably over the top, I still respect Sluggo. I think this is just something we're never going to agree about.

He has no idea what has been going on with the community for the last 6ish months, and there's not much I can say or do to fill him in because even then he'd be a passive participant in it...and he'll never be able to get me to come around again on the dregs of the community or the blame for creating the PC/PS4 divide and so any time it's an issue we're going to get contentious.

Really, there has been a small segment of the community acting like I'm awful since I wouldn't go against Spike's wishes and release all the info on how we were making custom moves and that was back in March. It's never let up since...once the seed is planted.

People really like to pretend that there is some sinister motive behind anyone with power, but all I wanted to do was give back to a community that I'd been a part of for almost a quarter century. However, things here didn't work out as I'd hoped, and the accusations of abuse and delusions of grandeur just kept on coming...and now I just don't want to deal with them anymore, so I'm taking myself out of the position where I will have to deal with them.

Like I replied to Justin, this was absolutely not my finest hour, and I freely admit to acting childish when tempers were running high just a little bit ago...but I think if I didn't work myself up like that (and it's been half-a-year coming), it may have never got done and I'd just go on dealing with it and growing to resent things more and more...so even though it was not my finest hour, it may have been necessary to move forward.

I'm not mad at sluggo, we're both jerks, and we're not afraid to be jerks, so I get the feeling like it appears worse than it actually is.

Absolutely this! Carl and I have talked and both agree we are both jerks. With that realization comes a great amount of understanding and respect. Any further fighting between us will be settled by Z-Train and Carl Zilla in a death match in Fire Pro World. Using Carl’s mods of course. :)
