What exactly does "Favorite Weapon" in the Skill section do? Does it make that weapon more likely to be pulled out from under the ring? Does that weapon get some kind of attack bonus if it happens to get pulled out? Yes to the first, no to the second. Cool, thanks for the reply!

Just as a brief follow-up to the spirit-nuking discussion on the last page:
I've implemented a lot of the changes to increase spirit damage and it appears to be working.
The two edits I mentioned are winning a lot more in general and are able to finish the match earlier. They're also winning more matches with their submissions and not just relying on their impact pins.
The additions of early and mid-match pin attempts, mounts, and minor move substitutions definitely helped!
Thanks Ares and Dawn! 😀

I remember that some time ago I read a chart about Criticals! and the possibilities by percentage of them happening by fight class. Does anybody remember that, or has the link to that?

Thank you. There was another that listed Critical! rates by damage, percentage-wise, showing what were the chances of the Critical! occurring at different times during the match. I want to read it because I'm making an edit that has striking for Critical!, but it's not a fighter or shooter.

I have a question about SWA and S-1 type matches. I've noticed that the ref will start a 10-count when an edit is down some times. Other times he won't. Does this has to do with the match type itself, the move used to knock an edit down, or referee involvement?

I think it's based on the match type itself plus their damage after specific moves.
Their may be like a "counter" that goes up until they reach a knockdown point.
Sometimes a move you think should keep them down won't but a weak move will then do it. I've never really fully understood why some moves will send an opponent down for the count but then a bigger, stronger move won't. i'm guessing the "knock down meter" resets after every time they recover and so it's just a matter of doing enough damage to them until they stay down again.
Someone with better understanding of the engine will hopefully clarify this 💡

I built a new PC last month with plenty of processing power and RAM to support FPWW. I have a new monitor with a max resolution of 2560 x 1440. I have the options to set the screen size of FPWW to 2560 x 1440. What is the best resolution to use for Fire Pro World?

What is the best resolution to use for Fire Pro World? 99.9% of the time the best resolution to use for any game would be the max your monitor and computer can handle smoothly. Fire Pro's graphics may be old school enough you might not see an enormous amount of additional graphical fidelity beyond a certain resolution, but I'd still run it in as high a resolution as I possibly could.

I played a lot of FPR in the day, but what I want to know about this are 3 things:
1. Do I get more edit pieces this time around? Are these just HD versions of the PS2 game? Do women get more body types so they don't have that weird tiny torso floating over Male D stomach thing in FPR?
2.I heard gradients from the PS2 game are out. Is this true?
3. Will any of my knowledge in making edits in FPR carry over to this game, or do I have to relearn anew.
Glad to see the board still here, and much love to OrochiGeese.

The layering system they replaced it with is far superior. 3) Most of your FPR knowledge should carry over, but there is new stuff to learn, particularly regarding the increase in priority slots.

Not to mention the expanded priority OUTCOMES. Being able to priority into taunts is, personality-wise, game-changing by itself. You can also priority into flying moves and running moves, so things like bodyslam to elbowdrop, or big boot to legdrop are easily done on purpose now.
The base game does have some new parts, and a bunch of new heads. The biggest change is that absolutely everything that could be a different color on a part before is now a totally independent layer. This opens up a lot of possibilities for mixing and matching, including using things for purposes they were never intended for, like using what used to be a costume design as a tattoo, or being able to partially cover parts with other layers, giving the illusion of a totally different part. The level of visual freedom compared to FPR is an order of magnitude different.
You do lose individual gradient editing because each color is a smooth, gradual transition between the lighter and darker parts instead of being 4 individual shades. The new layering options and ability to set how shiny something is make up for or improve on it 19 times out of 20.
Parameters and skills are identical, moveset is largely the same (unless you're modding) with the slight addition of being able to set what you'll do when trading strikes, a new mechanic to FPW. Logic is quite similar, other than the surprising amount that the new priority options will expand your planning.
Old edit-making skills will certainly carry over, you just have a lot more options to refine and perfect with now. I could certainly in no way go back at this point, that's for sure.

Thanks!! 😀 Right back at you, my friend! 🙋♂️ Lanky covered these questions but I just wanted to answer Question 3. You will not need to learn anything fundamentally new about the game. However, it is amazing how much more thought and time I put into crafting an edit now since we have a) more priority slots and b) more options with those priorities. Anyone comfortable with edit making in FPR will definitely be comfortable in FPW. But you'll able to test out some new strategies and tricks because of the new priorities! As Ares said, it really does wonders for character with the additional taunt functionality of the priorities due to being able to priority to and from a taunt. And it becomes almost impossible to want to go back to FPR, as a result.

Thanks guys that sounds awesome.
So, with body types... Does layering work with just the bare body layers? So are there multiple body sizes for women too? I had a lot of female wrestling feds on the ps2 and wanted to carry them over.
Thank you guys so much for answering. I appreciate it.
