A bunch of NJPW moves have been patched into the game since launch that can't be assigned to the default wrestlers -- you'll need to create new edits if you want to use the attacks. This isn't a huge obstacle for us, but I enjoy playing as the official NJPW roster, and Spike should want the preset wrestlers to be as accurate as possible.
Kazuchika Okada - Jumping Back Elbow Kenny Omega - Wheelbarrow Driver Tetsuya Naito - Stardust Press; Quick Backbreaker Hiroshi Tanahashi - Torture Texas Clover Hold Bad Luck Fale - Grenade Togi Makabe - Punching Lariat (this wasn't made for him, but it looks very similar to his lariat) Kota Ibushi - Cross Arm Suplex to Kamigoye Satoshi Kojima - Punching Lariat Manabu Nakanishi - Downward Chop Tomoaki Honma - Small Kokeshi Ryusuke Taguchi - Triple Brainbuster El Desperado - El Es Culero
Spike should also replace one of Tanahashi's European Uppercuts (they accidentally assigned the same attack twice), and they should probably give Yano his shrug taunt. I'd be happy if they darkened the black colors on certain wrestlers' costumes (Super Strong Machine, Minoru Suzuki, et cetera), too.

Y'know, I mostly agree. I'd rather not have to waste an edit on PS4 to add the new moves from the Japanese day one patch and this latest one.
Still, Super Grey Machine must stay gray!!! And I didn't really have a particular issue with Minoru's tights. Maybe the center part could be a tad darker.

This is something I agree with, as well. As long time player of Fire Pro, this is something I'd like to see happen. In the end, we have control over it, so it probably won't matter in the end. That said, while there's a limit on how many subscribed edits we can have, is there a limit on how many offline/"our own" edits that we can have?

Very cool. So I just need to use your CAW version of these guys rather than the on disc versions? Obviously I cant delete the originals right?

It would be nice if they updated all the default edits, including the SWA ones. If they're going to be a part of the new story mode, at least put some effort into updating them to use the latest improvements.

Maybe a request for later, but I doubt they'd do it while still working on modes.

I mean, wasn't it going to be up to the community to keep these guys updated a year from now? It just so happens we're gonna need Edits of most of the roster before the end of the year. :p
I don't see too much of an issue here, as it's following their earlier model of patch updates giving us new moves, and they almost always required the community to update somebody as the new content was a better fit.

They’re essentially crowdsourcing the logic/movesets while producing the animation and programming content. It seems pretty okay to do that. It’s not like any other game would update content on that granular a level, and 2k only releases new moves in paid dlc - these were free.

Don't go waiting on Spike to fix their small mistakes in the stock edits - At least two of them have mismatched hand skin tones, not to mention the logic issues.
In the end, it's ok, since people end up ignoring them anyway.

Must have been PS4 so I didn't know. Wow still adding moves for the wrestlers in the game, great! Still a chance for some stuff. Maybe Kenny's cross leg suplex to knee, or Okada's running back elbow (not the corner one, just standing run attack).
