I'd rather it be a massive S-1/SWA/Gruesome mode expansion, no real fighters necessary.
I know I'm not getting that, but I'd prefer it to some Danganrompa thing or some other fictional crossover.

If this included sixty new MMA/shoot fighting moves, with more position transitioning and strike moves I could live with it.

I'd totally be down for an MMA DLC for the moves.

Of course. More moves and more parts are welcome for my original edit creations.
Real or not, I just want more stuff to tool around with.

I have no interest in either a fantasy pack or joshi scenario. I'd be all for anything that adds more moves and parts to the engine, but I wouldn't play through the mode and would be noticeably sour (maybe not as noticeable once I lose all my free time in Fire Promoter, though...).

In all likelihood, it's going to be half-assed if they include a scenario again. I'm more interested in the theme that the scenario provides for moves and parts, tbh. After two modern Njpw themed packs, something different would be nice. Hell, I would take a DDT scenario if it meant more entertainment moves.

That hadn't even occurred to me, but it does seem like one of the likelier possibilities for the unannounced DLC. A lot of people are holding out hope for another licensed promotion but I just don't see it happening; they hitched their wagon to New Japan's star and that's what's steering this ship now, I reckon. If the last DLC contains characters at all, they're either gonna be NJPW guys (legends, I'd guess) or Spike's own property. I still feel like a small DLC of some little utility like a logo maker for t-shirts or fan signs or something is a possibility as well. Yeah. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I always thought the third dlc was going to be a match pack or sandbox tools then they announced it was going to be another scenario. Director was talking in interviews about how he wanted to expand Fire Pro beyond the current base, which I always assumed meant expand past the current fanbase to other wrestling fans but what if he thought bigger? I don't know how many visual novel fans would be willing to learn Fire Pro to be able to enjoy a new story with characters from their favorite franchise but maybe there's an audience. There's already a MUGEN-esque appeal to Fire Pro. I don't think there's enough big name NJPW legacy wrestlers (that aren't under contract elsewhere) to fill a scenario unless they expanded to all of Japanese wrestling. ROH seems too big for the final part of a season pass. CMLL or DDT or other promotions seem too niche. Stardom could be cool but it isn't like Fighting Road is gendered. Nothing in the wrestling world really fits. Personally, I don't know anything about Spike's other games but if it gets us cool edit parts/moves and the scenario mode is fun, I'd be ok with it.

Parts and moves. To be honest my dream scenario is all the DLCs being just edit parts, new moves, and sandbox tools for arenas, match modes, ect.

Third dlc should be matches. We need at least 1 new match type.
And there's no reason we shouldn't be able to leave the ring in a landmine match (turn off landmines) out that we shouldn't be able to have the option for a barbed wire cage match for the exploding match.
Maybe more weapons or breakable weapons.

If they try to throw that behind a paywall instead of in a free update, my reaction will make my previous criticisms of Spike seem absolutely tame by comparison. There's absolutely NO reason for that to be something they charge for.

That is a very good point.
I'd like an RPG style story editor that isn't a promotion mode or like fighting road. Something like a career more but less like 2k and more like South Park Stick of Truth. Like a 2d side scroller with people to talk to, things to find, and missions that all revolve around the matches.
Maybe Backstage areas or outside the arena. Things to make it feel more of a living world.

The chances of it being anything major seems pretty slim. Both Steam & PSN have it listed as a scenario like the NJPW Junior Heavyweight DLC.
I'd pay for major match additions like Rumble, Last Man Standing, 2 out of 3 falls, Iron Man, etc but I'd never pay for tweaks to existing matches. Fighting on the outside during a landmine match should be a toggle in the settings.
Also has Carl or View ever approached Spike about making any of their match mods official for a 50-50 split on DLC like Valve does with TF2 content?

Because Japan and the US have different laws regarding intellectual property, compensation, copyrights, etc. Spike's lawyers have basically said the idea of working with mod makers is probably not a good one.
