Virgil is right. Doc was robbed and must be given a chance to avenge the injustice that he was subjected to.

This Friday Warrior Grounds returns to its normal pre-taped format, and it does so with an exciting card. It is night one of the tag team tournament, and Warrior Pro fans get a chance to say their farewells to a young high flyer as he heads across the country to try and not die in AAW. In addition to the below matches, both Virgil and Doc Wyatt are also expected to be present to publicly confront owner Tank McDaniel around the brewing controversy surrounding the Heavyweight Championship. Match Previews: Tag Team Tournament Round 1: Roy Carter & Brick vs Baron FamilyThe first elimination match of the tournament pits two teams with a lot of bad blood against one another. Roy Carter has been feuding with the Baron family for months now, and owns singles wins against both of them. Meanwhile it was Vic Baron who spoiled Brick and Roy Carter’s debut by causing a controversial tap out on Roy Carter at Warrior Grounds #6. Expect fireworks in this match. Tag Team Tournament Round 1: Roland Chang Trio vs The MassholesThe heavy hitters from Texas take on the drunks from Boston. The Massholes have seen little success so far in Warrior Pro, but that hasn’t seemed to sap their confidence one bit. Meanwhile the Roland Chang Trio was viewed as an early favorite to make it all the way to the finals until their loss to the Flyboys re-affirmed that anyone could beat anyone in this tournament. This should be a straight up brawl. Farewell Jimmy: John Logan vs “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins In his farewell match, Jimmy Hawkins will get a rematch of one of the early classics of Warrior Pro Wrestling. Facing off in Day 2 of the inaugural Golden Gate tournament, Hawkins tool Logan to the limit and nearly scored the upset pinfall. That match would be the highlight of the entire tourney, and solidify Hawkins as a prospect with big things in his future. On Friday he gets another shot at John Logan before taking off for AAW. Can Hawkins give the fans another show to remember? Perhaps complete the upset this time, giving fans something to look forward to upon his eventual return? Check back Friday for the results including full matches, recaps, and promos! Promos posted on WPW.com: “Flyin” Jimmy HawkinsJohn Logan

The Roland Chang Trio speaks: Roland Chang Senior: Here we go, boys. A tournament match. And you two know I expect big things out of this. Especially against the people you face in this here round. Do not embarrass me, your family name, or the great state of Texas.
Roland Chang Junior: You best damn well better believe that we're out for blood! You damn well better believe we're not just here to cash some checks and go back home! No way! Because I see who we got for this match! A pair of sniveling simpering city boys from that stuffed up old center of do-nothing east coast fancy ass bastard state of Massachusetts!
Senior: Junior, we don't hate them because of their home. That simply ain't their fault. We hate them, because they are a well-named team of Massholes.
Junior: Screw that! They think that they're loud and rude because they're surrounded by smog, streets, taxi cabs and Tom Brady? Screw that! We're bigger, badder, louder and ruder than them and we don't need to be some coast boy urban slickers to be nasty! Look, I can drink and chew at the same time! I can belch louder than a jet plane taking off! I once pranked Duke Cogburn by walking a cow through his front door, and he had to clean up after it! Hell, I pissed him off even worse when I blew up his garbage can with a pack of Mexican firecrackers! And that was on Christmas Eve! Massholes, my ass! We're so filthy, dirt runs away from us! We're so mean, they send the National Guard over to give us speeding tickets! We're so...
Senior: Enough! Junior, in all honesty...I don't exactly get where you're going there. Now, I think it'd be better to hear from Roland III, isn't that right, kid?
Roland Chang III: Uh...I guess. So, we have this tournament. We need to win here. And I'll hold up my part. I'll powerbomb anyone who gets in our way. I'll show the Massholes who's the best. And I hope that'll be us.
Senior: Maybe I should have let Junior rant on. But I really should finish. Massholes, these two are rough and ready. And as you heard, they're also a bit touched in the head. And that makes them double tough to deal with in the ring. Know this, the Roland Chang Trio isn't going to roll over and play dead. But you might want to, when these two are done with you!

A cell phone video recording was recently posted on WPW.com The lighting is bad, but it appears to be an empty bar. Both Massholes are sitting at a table, the phone appears to be propped up somehow on the table, causing both men to dip in and out of frame. Both men are very drunk.
Joey: You ear bout thefucking Ronald Gang Threeo callin usout?
Tommy: WHA? Whofuck is Rollo Gang? Fucking BITCH.
Joey: Who you callin a bitch?
Tommy: You called me a BITCH?
Joey: What?
Tommy: WHAT?
Joey: The Rolling Chains Neo. They call us out like fuckingbitches
Tommy: Lets fuckem up then! (hiccups)
Joey: Fuckemupthen
Both men pass out, and the video continues for another ten minutes as the Massholes snore until it appears the phone dies

Warrior Grounds #7 is in the books, and that means we have two tag team advancing to New Dawn, as well as a proper send off for Jimmy Hawkins, as he makes his way over to AAW. But perhaps more importantly, we have a confrontation between the Wyatts and Tank McDaniel that seems to only be escalating the tension between these two sides. As always, see below the full recap of the show, complete with full matches, summaries and post-match promo’s. There is a quick turnaround too, as the tag team tournament will continue next week with Warrior Grounds #8. Roy Carter & Brick vs Baron FamilyRecap: The bad blood between Roy Carter and the Baron family continues, with another questionable end to a match. After a brutally physical back and forth match that saw multiple near falls, Austin Baron seemed to have the match in hand with a Baron (Olympic) Slam- only for Roy Carter to just barely get the shoulder up. Roy managed to hit a suplex of his own on Austin for a near fall, and causing all four men to be in the ring at once. Multiple tags put Vic and Roy once again in the ring together, and an MMA takedown put Vic on his back. Carter immediately advanced position and started raining down knees until the ref was forced to stop the match. It was unclear if Vic was officially knocked out or not…
Winner: Roy Carter & Brick Rating: ***
After the match, Vic was visibly upset, slamming the mat with both hands and storming out of the ring. Roland Chang Trio vs The MassholesRecap: A sufficient amount of (drunken) trash talk surrounded the first time meeting between these two teams, and the match quickly resembled a bar fight. Both teams seemed uninterested in working a traditional match, and instead tried to knock each other’s head off. Referee Jerry Smith could barely contain the action in the ring, and the eldest Chang didn’t make it any easier on him, constantly creating distractions. The star of the match seemed to be Roland Chang III, who seemed to dominate every time he got into the match. But as the Massholes seemed exhausted and ready to be put away, a tag was instead made and Roland Chang Jr. proceeded to give Joey O’Malley a brutal powerbomb for the win.
Winner: Roland Chang Trio Rating: *** Tank McDaniel makes his way to the ring, with Austin Baron by his side.Farewell Jimmy: John Logan vs “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins Recap: Mutual nods of respect from both men before this one got started. Jimmy showed, just like in the first time these two met, that the young wrestler can hang with the big boys. Neither man seemed to get a firm control of the match, Hawkins though seemed to dazzle the crowd with fast action, a pair of running moonsaults into a top rope senton. An insiguri into a running bulldog. But each time John Logan would cut him off before any real momentum was met. Eventually the number one contender would get cooking- a Sky High powerbomb for a near fall. A belly to belly into a running closeline. As Hawkins tried fighting back Logan would counter into a LOGANS RUN- but Hawkins would jump right back up. Looking for a second wind, and trying to feed off the energy of the crowd, Hawkins desperately tried a comeback, hitting a big hurricanrana into a dive into the corner. But Logan would again cut him off, this time with a piledriver into a Shotgun Closeline… for a near fall. Hawkins looks dazed, and Logan hits him with a neckbreaker into another Shotgun, but Jimmy is saved by the ropes. Hawkins again puts together a comeback, with hurricanranas into flying elbows, trying to get the setup for the Hawk Splash. But Logan counters at the corner, and hits his Big Man senton into a third Shotgun Closeline, this time for the pin.
Winner: John Logan Rating: ****
After the match, Logan picks Jimmy off the ground and the two exchange words before a short embrace, then Logan proceeds to raise Jimmys hand as the crowd stands and cheers. Both wrestlers wave to the crowd as they make their way to the back. No wrestlers were made available after the show, but night two of the tag team tournament will continue next week with Warrior Grounds #8…

I spent a good part of yesterday getting caught up on every word of Warrior Pro and watching all the matches up to Call to Arms, which the build has me thoroughly hyped for and feeling invested in all the individual edits personally. I really like what you've created here, mister. Every element of it. From the distinct characters and their unique voices in excellently written promos (MGM has my heart, but others definitely share it), to their corresponding appearances and translation into ring work, stories and rivalries between them, all the pre and post-show angles, the fantastic graphical presentations, great looking rings and refs, the coherence of the product as a whole and high level of quality shining through every piece of the puzzle.
I'm having a blast following along from the beginning of this project and being able to binge it like I do a good show. With plenty left to go! Still at the tip of the iceberg on the verge of the first major event to crown the first champ and I'm like a kid before the big PPV.
I feel even more grateful that you included one of my edits in this tight knit group of homegrowns, and having gotten to know this roster better makes his matches that much more meaningful to me in context as well. Which will only be enhanced when I get to them in the order they were presented initially for rewatch. I'm a fucking WPW mark and I don't care who knows it, WOOOOOOOOO!

Wow, thanks- I'm so glad you're enjoying the ride! The first couple months were a lot of fun, and a little stressful as I tried to get a handle on how I wanted to structure everything and what voices I wanted for everyone. I'm really happy that you went back and consumed the older stuff- my goal is to try and keep a consistent story (or at least as consistent as pro wrestling will allow haha). And its a little fitting, because the dynamic between Logan, Doc, and Tank even in those early promos is still being played out today. And the La Barba story is only beginning to heat up (we'll be seeing how at WG #8...)

I really stand in awe of guys like you and senator and geese and everyone else who can create these kinds of universes and populate them with so many voices, all fully realized backstories and personalities. I just don't have that kinda thinking, lack the knowledge and creativity to concoct such stories, and just always impressed when I see it done so well by others.
Oh and holy shit, Call to Arms delivered so hard, and so am I

We are on the eve of Night 2 of Warrior Pro’s tag team tournament, and we have four of the most exciting tag teams in the world facing off, including a couple of lucha hunters, an “old school” flyer team, a new school flyer team, and a pair of heavy hitters. The main event is loaded too as we see an all-star six man featuring a pair of Warrior Pro debuts. Check back Friday for the results including full matches, recaps, and promos! Match Previews: Flyboys vs Los Ninos PerdidosOne of the top tag teams from the recently re-organized SHTCWA, The Flyboys, will take on Blackrose Wrestling’s finest in Los Ninos Perdidos. Both teams come into the match sporting wins in their Warrior Pro debuts, and both have looked extremely impressive. Whoever comes out of this one will be looked at as a favorite for the finals. Gears of War vs Reed BrothersGears of War might be the most accomplished in house team of the tournament, given their widespread success in Japan, but the Reed Brothers could be the dark horse of the entire tournament. This will be a classic speed vs power matchup, as well as the start of a potential long term rivalry. 6 Man Tag: John Logan/Vic Baron/Lefty McDaniel vs Rampage/Yoshi Tayaki/Dungeon DominguezThe main event will carry a ton of intrigue. Dungeon Dominguez of Lucha POWER and Yoshi Tayaki of AAW both make their Warrior Pro debut’s and will be looking to make an impression. We’ll also get a heavyweight title preview with both John Logan and Rampage Hunter facing off on opposite teams. This one is just for pride, but the implications of winning this one could have implications down the road…
Promos:
Gears of War Bobby Clash: We gotta go against a couple of flippy boys? Couple of dancing, prancing, twinkle toes? Seems fine by us. What do we do to flippy boys Riot?
Riot: SMASH
Clash: That’s right. That’s exactly what we do. Reed BrothersMaverick: Brother, I do believe we’ve found the dumbest opponents possible. I’m not sure they even know how to count to three, let alone hold us down long enough to get the pin
Rip: Bunch of knuckleheads for sure. That’s cool. We can run circles around both of them. It’ll be easy to hit a slow moving target.
Maverick: I hear they were a big deal in Japan though. The biggest deal if you listen to those cavemen talk about it
Rip: I’m not a geography major, but Japan is a pretty long ways away from here
Maverick: It isn’t close, that’s for sure
Rip: And I don’t believe we were in whatever Dragonball Z promotion where they apparently dominated
Maverick: It doesn’t ring a bell
Rip: So it might be possible that really, they are the ones that should be fearing us.
Maverick: Kinda sounds like it. Kinda sounds like Gears of Bore have a rough night ahead.
Rip: We are in agreement brother.

Looking forward to seeing how that main event goes, Yoshi and Dungeon will be dangerous additions, especially at the side of Rampage. Logan, Baron and Lefty are a formidable team in their own right, so I'm not going to dare make any predictions!
The tag tournament has been great so far, I think the Flyboys have a good chance to run through it if they get some momentum.

Another Warrior Grounds is in the books, and the go home show before New Dawn provided some clarity, and a few surprises for what lays ahead. As always, see below the full recap of the show, complete with full matches, summaries and post-match promo’s. Flyboys vs Los Ninos PerdidosRecap: Two of the best tag teams in the Critical Alliance faced off here it what turned out to bit of a contrast in styles. The brawling Flyboys tried to control the ring and overpower Los Ninos Perdidos, while the self descriped “Lucha Hunters” tried to use their quickness advantage to tire out the ageless pilots. It seemed that the Flyboys had control over the match with victory a formality, until El Hijo Del Dorado pulled a lucha move of his own and rolled up Falconer Northwest for the surprise victory.
Winner: Los Ninos Perdidos Match Rating:*** Gears of War vs Reed BrothersRecap: The match of the night, and as good an indication as any that there is a rivalry brewing between these two teams. The contrast in styles that was hyped before the match played out early, as Gears of War slowed down the pace and used their superior size to lean on the smaller Reeds. The brothers weathered the initial storm, and as GoW got tired, the match suddenly picked up at a pace that Bobby Clash and Riot could not keep up with. As the match drew near Maverick pulled out all the stops, raining running knees on both men- but could not keep either one down long enough for a 3 count. In the end, Rip Reed would suffer a brutal double team followed by a moonsault foot stomp from Bobby Clash for a Gears of War victory.
Winner: Gears of War Match Rating: **** Dungeon Dominguez from Lucha Power walks down to the ring with a small man in a suit. Both men enter the ring, and the suited man grabs a microphone as Dungeon stands stoic, eyes fixated on the back dressing room. The suited man begins to speak…Both men exit the ring and walk towards the back, but not before Dungeon stops to glare back at the crowd, before fully exiting to the back in preparation for the next match.6 Man Tag: John Logan/Vic Baron/Lefty McDaniel vs Rampage Hunter/Yoshi Tayaki/Dungeon DominguezRecap: A wild match consisting of multiple contrasts of style. Team Rampage worked their size advantage to overpower and brutalize their opponents, with newcomer Yoshi Tayaki’s hardcore antics specifically taking the opposing men off guard. But team Logan’s ring intelligence and experience seemed to keep the young powerhouses at bay. A stereo suplex spot, followed by a Left Handed Scissors from Lanky Lefty looked like it might end the match, but a close kick out kept things rolling. In the end, our heavyweight title participants faced off in the middle of the ring and it was John Logan eating a Lights Out powerbomb for the eye opening pinfall.
Winner: Rampage, Yoshi Tayaki, Dungeon Dominguez Match Rating: **** Afterwards, the media caught up with Rampage…“Shit man. Nobody taking Rampage seriously. No one. You all just assumin John Logan gonna roll into New Dawn and take Rampage’s title from him. Like that motherfucker is already his. It don’t make no sense at all. You see what just happened? Huh? Write that. Write down that Rampage put John Logan on his back. Again. Kept him there for a three count. Again. Ain’t no rivalry here. He can’t beat me. Can’t beat Rampage. This belt? This is MY belt. He can’t have it. Tired of this shit. Aint getting any respect. Not from you all, not from Tank, not from John Logan. Well I ain’t sweatin it. You all will find out next week. Rampage gonna show the world. Again.” There was also a bit of confusion in the dressing room…Vic Baron seemed to disappear despite all his street clothes still hanging in his locker. It was almost like he never came back to the dressing room after his match. The media was eventually kicked out as Tank could be overheard calling for security…

The pressroom is filled with a dozen reporters. At the front of the room, under a backdrop of the New Dawn promotional banner, sits owner Tank McDaniel. To his right sitting with the championship belt is Rampage Hunter. To his left, number one contender John Logan. Noticeably standing in the corner, casually leaning against the wall is Austin Baron. Tank: Welcome everyone to the official press conference for the first big Warrior Pro Wrestling event of the new year: New Dawn, which will air this Friday February 1st LIVE on Twitch at 4pm PT. This will be one of the biggest cards in the promotions history. We have four teams left to determine our inaugural tag team champion, we have a cross- promotional clash with Lucha POWER, and we have what should be an excellent main event for the Heavyweight Championship between the men seated between me, John Logan and Rampage Hunter. Austin: (clears throat)Tank: (shoots a quick glare over to Austin) Right. We also have one more potential match, though I have not heard back from either Wyatt on an opponent, so we will have to decide very shortly after this press conference if that match, and its stipulations, will still hold. Ok, lets open the floor to questions. Reporter: Can you address the rumors around Vic Baron’s disappearance? Tank: (Pauses, again looking at Austin) Uhh no… I can’t speak on specifics. All I can say is that we have not been able to contact Vic, and we are engaging the authorities in the event that there is reason to believe that something happened to him. I know there is obvious speculation that Machine Gun might be involved, but to the best of my knowledge Machine Gun has an alibi- he was still in Texas during the show last week. We will release an official statement once we know more. Reporter: John- how does it feel to get a second chance at the belt? Logan: In some ways, deeply frustrating. I should have had a second crack at High Noon, but Doc and his cronies DQ’ed me in my match with Lefty McDaniel. Then I had another chance but blew it against this guy (points at Rampage). In my eyes, that belt has been waiting for me since the doors of this company opens. I’ve sat here and told you guys this several times, my only goal is that belt. Nothing else matters to me. Being undefeated in the Golden Gate Tournament didn’t matter. Beating Adrien Lawton didn’t matter. That belt is it. And for six months its been sitting around the wrong guy’s waist. This Friday, I can finally correct that. This Friday that belt finally gets to come home. Rampage is a beast. And sure, he beat me. But I beat him too. Friday will be a war no doubt. A war I’m going to win- because it’s the war I was always meant to win. (turns to face Rampage). Sleep with that belt buddy. Hold it tight. Take a long walk with it, take a picture and get it framed. Because it’s not yours. Its mine. And on Friday I’m taking it back. Reporter: Rampage you’re looking leaner- how are you feeling ahead of your first title defense? Rampage: (still eyeing Logan) Feel fantastic. Rampage always feels fantastic. Rampage is in the best shape of his life. Championship shape. (still starring at Logan) And this PUNK keeps sayin the belt his his? HIS belt? Who THE FUCK do you think you talkin to? YOU aint got no right to NOTHIN. Ain’t your fucking belt. This belt here? This is Rampage’s belt. No one else’s. I EARNED this belt. Walked through FIRE for this belt. Nah man. You ganna find out on Friday how wrong you are. You find out Friday. I knocked your ass out last year, I knocked your ass out last week, Friday I’ma knock your motherfucking ass out for the last motherfucking time. You an old has been, Warrior Pro is MINE. Logan: (staring straight ahead) I’m taking that belt. And you know. And you’re scared. Cause there’s nothing you can do about it. Sure, you beat me in a six man tag. But Friday, one on one, you’re gonna have to kill me. Rampage: (stands up) Motherfucker I’ll bring the body bag. From the back of the room the doors burst open and Doc Wyatt stands beaming. Behind him is the gigantic presence of none other than Colossus Rhodes, in full ring gear complete with his haunting mask. Both Rampage and Logan are now standing and staring each other down, uninterested in the new guests.Doc: Hope I’m not late- Austin, meet your opponent for Friday. Golden Touch Promotion’s own Colossus Rhodes. I hope you have health insurance buddy. Tank: (looks over at Austin, who gives him a smile and a small nod. Tank gives a heavy sigh) Fine. The match is made. But Austin had a request that I will be granting. If he wins, on top of your suspension, Austin gets his own title shot. Both Rampage and Logan break their stare down to look at Tank, then over to Austin. Doc doesn’t break his smile.Doc: Your funeral, you can grant him whatever you want. Tank: Fine, it’s settled. This press conference is over, we’ll see you all on Friday. The official card for Warrior Pro Wrestling Presents: New DawnTag Team Tourney Semifinal: Los Ninos Perdidos vs Gears of War Tag Team Tourney Semifinal: Roland Chang Trio vs Roy Carter & Brick Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender: Austin Baron (w Tank McDaniel) vs Colossus Rhodes (w Doc Wyatt) “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel vs Pantero Negro Jr. Tag Team Tourney Finals Warrior Pro Heavyweight Championship: Rampage Hunter vs John Logan
