Call To Arms is officially hours away, and after a 2 month build it is shaping up to be a hellova show. Official start time is 3:30 PST on TWITCH but we’ll probably kick off a little early with 1-2 “dark” matches to unofficially debut some tag teams and make sure the stream is stable.
The full show will be available right afterwards, and the usual match recaps and post show promos will likely be up either later tonight or tomorrow.
The official card for tonight:
Tank McDaniel vs Young Gun Castillo Tank will be wrestling singles for the first time in almost 5 years, and his first in the US in over 10 (his last singles match was in Dragon Fire Wrestling in Japan). His opponent will be one of the more promising rookies, Castillo, who‘s combination of size and athleticism should give him the slightest chance to upset. But despite his age, Tank still carries a ton of power in those closelines of his, and if Castillo can’t avoid them it’s likely game over for the Young Gun.
“Perfection” Jack Gold vs “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins This one should be fast paced from the get go. Both are hungry to prove themselves, and both are coming off decisive victories at the last house show. A win for Jack Gold would give him two in a row over up and coming talent and reason to start looking at the top half of the roster. A win for Hawkins starts to erase the goose egg he put up at the GG tourney last month. Expect lots of spotty goodness and showboatery from this budding So Cal rivalry.
Kevin Hunter & Brick vs The Baron Family An all-star tag match that should be a hard hitting affair. Vic Baron will be looking for redemption from his tourney loss to Kevin Hunter, and another win after pinning John Logan at the house show would make his case for singles contention. Both Hunter and Brick see this match as an obstacle to getting back to title contention, and the plan seems to be to blast through it. This match will come down to power vs technique, and either way no one is walking out of the ring unscathed.
Roy Carter vs Machine Gun Mayhem Street Fight The semi-main event. A good old fashion grudge match. After a war of a match at the GG tourney, Machine Gun took to beating Roy with a baseball bat- cracking two ribs in the process. Carter’s response- a no DQ, non-sanctioned street fight. Expect blood and carnage in this one. Roy took Machine Gun to the limit in their first match, but one has to wonder how healthy he will be, and whether or not his ribs will hold up. Either way, the win may be secondary to each man trying to hurt the other.
John Logan vs "Gentleman" Doc Wyatt (Championship match) Tank Special Referee The MAIN EVENT. Logan went undefeated in the GG tourney to win his block outright. Doc back door-ed his way in with two draws. There has been talk back and forth for 2 months, and finally we get to see it settled in the ring for the inaugural heavyweight championship. Tank McDaniel has said he will referee this match himself, and a last minute no DQ, no count out stipulation has been added to the match. Doc has made no secret his view that Tank has it out for him, and promises a “contingency” to ensure he gets a fair shake. This should be a good one, and the winner will forever be etched in history

Call to Arms is in the books, and it was a hellova first show. All the matches lived up to the hype, and in the end a champion was crowned. Stream crapped out halfway through so the replay is split into two parts: Part 2:
Full recaps including post match promo's and angles will be posted over the weekend, as well as getting the show up on youtube.

Call to Arms was an exciting first show, and the implications should set the stage for the September show set to be announced in the coming weeks. See below full matches and recaps, including post match angles and promos.
Pre Show Match: Reed Brothers vs Massholes
Tank McDaniel vs "Young Gun" CastilloRecap: The legendary owner stepped into the ring for first time in over 5 years, and did not disappoint- taking it to the young rookie right from the opening bell. He seemed to have the match over early, hitting his famous "Irish Driver"...only to see the rookie kick out. Castillo then mounted some offense of his own, putting the Hall of Famer off balance- and giving the Young Gun an opening to hit his own finisher... for a long 2 count. Tank seemed re-gather himself after that, scoring a couple of axe bombers and pick up the victory. Winner: Tank McDaniel Match Rating: *** Post Match: Tank pulls up the rookie, shakes his hand and raises it up as both wave to the crowd and walk out together
"Flyin" Jimmy Hawkins vs "Perfection" Jack GoldRecap: Both competitors came into this match trying to make a name for themselves, and they did their best to do just that. High flying and fast paced from the beginning, both wrestlers took turns asserting their offense early on, until Jack Gold seemed to take the upper hand with two high flying sequences leading into an X factor that resulted in a close near fall. Hawkins fought back, and followed up his trademark senton with a Hawk Splash that seemed to be the finish...except Gold kicked out right before three. Gold mounted a comeback of his own, getting a near fall on a hurricarana before nailing his 24 Karat senton for the 3 count. Winner: Jack Gold Match Rating: **** Post Match: Jack Gold helps up Hawkins and offers a hand shake. Jimmy considers and then goes to accept, but Gold turns the shake into an X factor. He screams "You can't touch me!" at an unconscious Hawkins before leaving the ring as the crowd rains boo's.
Baron Family vs Brick and Kevin Hunter (NOTE: The first part of the match wasn't recorded due to a technical issue)Recap: This was a war. Hard strikes and big throws from the jump, with issues coming up when neither team seemed to be able to score pin falls close to their own corner. Austin hit a stunner early, and Brick hit a choke slam but both were in enemy territory and prevented anyone from capitalizing. Advantages were traded back and forth, and eventually the match spilled out of the ring, where Brick landed another choke slam on the arena floor. But before he could get the Barons back in the ring, the momentum had swung the other way and perhaps for good. The Barons got Brick up and landed a double team powerbomb... which Brick no sold. But the damage may have been done- both big men looked gassed, and after a wild sequence of 4 back grapple reversals Vic Baron cross arm suplexed Brick for the pin. Winner: Baron Family Match Rating: *** Post Match: The Barons celebrate and walk to the back. Hunter walks over and helps up Brick, who shoves him away, points and shouts "Back the fuck up." Hunter looks at him in shock, Brick walks past him, giving a shoulder bump as he exits the ring. Hunter stays in the ring with a confused look before exiting behind him...
Non-Sanctioned Street Fight: Machine Gun Mayhem vs Roy CarterRecap: This one spent no time before breaking down into a weapons brawl. Both men took turns swinging a barbed wire bat at each other, with Carter getting busted open faily early. Carter tried to stay aggressive but it was obvious that his ribs were not healed, and at less than 100% he wasn't going to get past Machine Gun. MGM took a baseball bat from Roy and countered it into a triple powerbomb that Roy couldn't get up from. Winner: Machine Gun Mayhem Rating: ** Post Match: Machine Gun continued to assault Roy until officials came to the ring. Machine Gun stopped and walked out, but not before stepping on Roy's ribs as he walked out. For the second straight match, Roy had to be carted out of the ring by the medical team.
Heavyweight Championship Match: John Logan vs "Gentleman" Doc Wyatt (Tank special guest referee)
Recap: The main event of the evening to crown the first Warrior Pro champion. Doc spoke of "contingencies" but surprisingly the match went on without any funny business. Both men went at it from the start, hard hitting and brawling all over the ring. Logan hit an early Logan's Run that looked to make the match quick, but Doc kicked out at 2. The match spilled outside, where both men exchanged slams to the floor. back inside Doc seemed to take over, going up top for a flying fist, and setting up a figure four in the middle of the ring. Logan was able to get the ropes, and seemed to be mounting a comeback before Doc countered a jumping piledriver and turned it into a running superman punch to the back of the head for the three count. Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Doc Wyatt Match Rating: **** Post Match Tank, reluctantly places the championship belt around Doc's waist. Doc motions for a mic. Logan rolls out of the ring and is recovering near the barricade.
Doc: Tank, buddy. Thank you so much for this. Thank you so much to all you fans, who support me in everything I do. This is an historic night. This is the night that you all witness history. History being carved out right here. Not only is this the night that Warrior Pro anoints its first champion, it stands as the night that we are freed from this fucking hack- John Logan. You are worthless. This whole company is worthless... that is without me. All you fans out their have been saved, I have saved you. This company will ride on my coattails.
Brick comes out from the back and helps Logan up, and starts helping him to the back.
Doc: Oh- John. I almost forgot. My contingency, had nothing to do with this match. It was to ensure that we- the fans and I- don't have to deal with you anymore.
Brick and Doc make eye contact, and Brick turns and close lines Logan. Brick starts putting boots to Logan as Doc gets a chair. As Doc approaches Logan, Brick holds Logan up preparing for a head chair shot... before Tank comes over for the save, knocking over Doc and grabbing the chair. Tank makes a motion that he's going to hit Brick with it, Brick slowly walks back to Doc seemingly unconcerned about Tank. There's a small stare down as Doc points at Tank while holding the belt overhead as the show goes off the air... Post Show Promos: Jack Gold Jimmy Hawkins thinks he's on the same level as me. He's not. No one is. There are people in this business that are good, some of those people are in this company. But but good isn't PERFECTION. Vic Baron First Jimmy Hawkins. Then John Logan. Now Brick. I'm getting close to pinning half this roster. There's a champion now, which means he's gonna need challengers. Better keep your head on a swivel Doc, I don't intend to stay a tag team wrestler. That belt is my end goal. Better start training. Brick You askin why? Jus bisnus.

The card for this week’s first Warrior Grounds is set for THIS Friday. On tap is a mini tournament, with the winner getting a shot at Doc Wyatt at High Noon for the heavyweight title. Also, we get a first look at newly signed Gears of War, who will face off against a tag team of Young Guns: Promos for the event are up on WPW.com John LoganI’ve had two weeks to think about what happened at Call to Arms. Two weeks to figure out what went wrong, the mistakes I made, the things I should have done differently. I was right there, ready to realize my dreams… and then just like that it was over. Congrats Doc Wyatt- you beat me fair, in the middle of the ring.
But after the bell… you couldn’t leave well enough alone. You had to rub it in, you had to go the extra mile. Well you have my full and undivided fucking attention now. But what you failed to do, was finish the fucking job. So here we go again. I’m going to walk through another tournament, beat whoever the hell this mystery guy is, beat whoever the hell wins the other match, earn my rematch, and beat your arrogant ass the way I should have the first time. Enjoy that title while you can, because it’s not staying around your waste for very long.
And Brick. My dear friend Brick. Do not think that I have forgotten how you decided to saddle up to that weasel and abandon your friends. I don’t know what is going on in your head, but trust me- you and I have some shit to settle. Your ass whopping isn’t far behind. Friday is the start of a new story, and this time I’m writing my own ending. Vic “The Technician” BaronFriday-cannot come soon enough. Ever since the Golden Gate Tournament. Ever since I had my first shot at the heavyweight belt snatched away from me. I’ve been training. I’ve been focused. And now, after the names started piling up. Jimmy Hawkins. John Logan. Brick. All of them, on their backs, looking up at the lights. Now, just two more men gotta be put on their backs. Two more men choked out- and I get my shot.
Jack Gold- you are a means to an end. Yeah- you have a couple wins. But I can guarantee, you aint seen anything like me. I’m takin you to school, and by the time I’m done you won’t have any idea why you lost. Congrats on your wins, welcome to the big leagues kid. “Perfection” Jack GoldTwo matches, two victories. Both had something to prove, but realized that you cannot mess with perfection. My ability, my charisma, my presence- are the complete package. The logical next step on that journey is a shot at the Heavyweight title. Standing in my way is a flawed never has been that can’t get out of daddy’s shadow. Vic, you may have more experience than me, but most of it involves losing. There is nothing you can teach me. You are another stepping stone on my walk to greatness. Don’t worry, when all is said and done- I’ll get you an autograph so you have something of value when your middling career is over. Gears of WarBobby Clash: Warrior Pro- you are all now officially on notice. Riot- what do we do when we get into the ring? Riot: SMASH Clash: We see the other guy across the ring, pissin his pants at the thought of having to face us, what comes next? Riot: SMASH Clash: What are we about? What is our goal? Riot: SMAAAAASH Clash: Fuck right, we SMASH. Hope this arena is close to a hospital, because we’re sending a couple of rooks out on stretchers

Warrior Pro will act as a nice pre-taped primer presenting a mini one night tournament of its own, with the winner earning a World Title opportunity against Doc Wyatt at High Noon on Sept. 17th. The scheduled card for tomorrow’s Warrior Grounds #1:
Gears of War vs Young Guns The newly signed tag team kicks off the show with their debut against two of Warrior Pro’s rookies. This should be a brutal showcase of what the tag team division is in for, but don’t sleep on the rookie pairing. Castillo put on an impressive display at Call To Arms and GoW will need to make sure they put this to bed early or risk an upset.
World Heavyweight Contender Qualifier: Vic Baron vs Jack Gold The Technician vs Perfection. This will be the first time these two meet, and it stands to be a potential classic. Both wrestlers enter on a winning streak- Baron hasn’t lost since the second week of the Golden Gate Tournament, and Gold stands undefeated so far in his Warrior Pro career. Both men have something to prove, and both have been quick to verbally attack the other.
World Heavyweight Contender Qualifier: John Logan vs ??? Logan will face off against a mystery opponent in the second qualifier match. Logan looked destined to be champ until he was caught by Doc’s punishing right hand at Call To Arms. A rematch seems inevitable, but the real question is who he will be facing- and can Logan get by this person to get back into title contention?
World Heavyweight Contender Match: Winner vs Winner The winner of both matches will face off to determine the number one contender- and earn a shot at Doc Wyatt at High Noon!
Also, the champ himself will be in attendance, coming off his victory in the first round of the 49th Parallel tournament. He will address the crowd for the first time since winning the belt.

Warrior Grounds #1 is officially in the books. There was a wild tournament that concluded with an exciting main event that crowned our #1 contender. Scroll on down for full matches, recaps and promos- both during and after the event. The official High Noon press conference will be next week, and then it is on to Warrior Grounds #2 September 7th! Warrior Grounds #1 Results: Gears of War vs Young GunsRecap: Bobby Clash and Miller start, feeling each other out before tags are made and Castillo and Riot start pounding on each other. Clash and Miller tag back in, and Miller tosses Clash outside and the rookies double team and start mounting an offensive- seemingly taking the veterans off guard. Riot gets the tag and dishes out a vicious powerbomb and a muscle press for a near fall. GoW seem to take over control of the match until Castillo gets the tag, and the impressive rookie makes a comeback and hits his finisher for a near fall. Both teams trade advantage, hitting big moves for near falls back and forth before Miller runs right into his second chokeslam from Riot that completely knocks him unconscious. Winner: Gears of War Match Rating*** Post Match: Miller stays down as medical personal tend to him, eventually calling for a stretcher to wheel him to the back. Doc Wyatt comes out to the ring flanked by Brick, Warrior Pro title belt slung over his shoulder. He picks up a mic as boos rain down from the crowd. Doc pauses in the middle of the ring and soaks in the crowd. Brick stands next to him stone faced, arms crossed.
Thank you! Please- please hold your admiration and applause. I am honored and grateful for the warm reception. I have to admit, after winning my match at the 49th Parallel tournament, I was a bit spent. But I wanted you people- my people- to know that this is my first home. And that I, as your champion, will prioritize this shitty fucking company for as long as it takes for me to get a better offer somewhere else. Listen, it isn’t not my fault Tank is going to run this place into the ground. If anything- It’s all of you ignorant fans that cheer for shitty wrestlers like John Logan or Vic Baron. That’s fine. I’m honestly fine with it. I get paid either way.
Some of you, both in the crowd and in the back, might be wondering “Hey, why did Brick turn on his friend? Why is he doing this? Why align himself with Doc Wyatt?” That-is a stupid fucking question. He’s doing it because I’m the top of the mountain. And if you want to get to the top, what quicker way than to hitch your wagon to a winner. Brick teamed with his buddy Logan- and lost. He teamed with his pupil Kevin Hunter- and lost. Now he wants to win. It is as easy as that.
Finally- this dumb tournament. John Logan, Jack Gold, Vic Baron, Mystery Box- I don’t care. See I am a fighting champion, and I plan to sit in the back, and try not to get too bored while I find out who gets to lose in September. Goodnight dirtbags, you all smell like shit!”
Doc Drops mic and both he and Brick walk to the back, Doc mocking the crowd the whole way. Vic “The Technician” Baron vs “Perfection” Jack GoldRecap: Early back and forth with Vic going for a couple of quick falls, then starting to mount offense. Gold struggles to mount a comeback, seeing his attempts cut off as Vic continuously takes the fight to the ground. Gold finally breaks free and is able to hit a running turnbuckle moonsault for a 2 count. Vic regains a quick advantage by tossing Gold out of the ring, but Gold slips back in and counters with a dives to the outside, and is now finding some room to operate. Gold hits a 24k for a nearfall. Vic counters with an Olympic Slam for a nearfall of his own. Gold manages to throw Vic outside and hits another dive. Action moves back into the ring, where Gold goes for a hurricanrana- but is countered into a powerbomb for the pin. Winner: Vic Baron Match Rating **** John Logan vs ???The mystery wrestler walks to the ring and reveals himself to be…. “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel!? Nephew of owner Tank McDaniel, more background can be found HERE. Recap: The match never gets started. Immediately Doc Wyatt and Brick jump Lefty and beat him down, handing out two double powerbombs and a “Black Gold” cutter before officials came into the ring to chase off the champ and his enforcer. Logan quickly follows to check on his opponent, but the officials have no choice but to DQ Logan for interference. Winner (via DQ): Lefty McDaniel Match Rating N/A #1 Contendership MatchRecap: Despite the vicious beat down, Lefty comes out of the gates with early offense. The run is short lived, and stamina becomes a factor as the match wears on, with Vic taking over. Similar to the match with Jack Gold, as Lefty starts to mount offense, Vic brings it to the mat with wear downs. Lefty mounts a comeback with a vicious DDT into a Russian leg sweep before Vic answers with a suplex into a bulldog. Vic locks in the Killa Crossface but Lefty gets to ropes. Lefty mounts another offensive run but is getting gassed, and gets caught in a flash rollup for a near fall. Action really picks up as both wrestlers- tired and trying to end it- pull out the big guns. Vic hits a top rope DDT but gets countered for a near fall. Lanky hits an elbow drop from the top rope into a near fall. Vic hits a moonsault but cannot cover. Lefty hits a super kick in the middle of the ring for another near fall. Both men look spent. Lanky hits a spear, runs the ropes to hit a second but misses. Vic hits an Olympic Slam for another near fall. Vic picks him up looking for another but Lefty breaks free and hits the Left Handed Scissors (cutter) for the pin. Winner: Lefty McDaniel Match Rating***** Post Match: Both men lay in the center of the ring, completely gassed from the match. They both seem to exchange words and Lefty pats Vic on the head as he starts to get up.
Doc Wyatt and Brick both appear on the edge of the crowd. Brick again stoned faced and arms crossed. Doc pointing at Lefty and then pointing at the belt. Lefty stands up and points at Doc, then makes a belt motion around his waist as Doc and Brick leave the arena… After the event, reporters caught up with some of the wrestlers: John Logan This shit is ridiculous. Doc Wyatt is a conniving little weasel- I’ve always known that. But Brick? I don’t know what’s going on with him, and at this point I don’t give a fuck. Tank! Make the match- I want Brick vs Logan at High Noon. I’m done trying to figure out what’s what- let’s settle this with fists. Vic Baron Sitting on a chair in the press room, Vic looks exhausted.
This was supposed to be my moment. My time to shine, and again I fell short. Fine. If I gotta climb the mountain again, that’s what I’ll do. Back to work- this aint stopping me. Good luck Lanky. Get that title, and I’ll beat everyone I have to so we can do this again. Miller The rookie was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a severe concussion. He is expected to be out until at least October, but will be re-evaluated in a couple weeks. Jack Gold When reporters entered the locker room, Gold was found unconscious and bleeding- with a note pinned to his chest that simply read “YOU ARE NOT PERFECT”
No update was given on his condition…

Tank McDaniel is seated in the middle of the press table, Lefty McDaniel to his right, Warrior Pro World Champion Doc Wyatt to his Left, with the belt propped up on the table in front of Doc. Tank: Welcome everyone to the official press conference for HIGH NOON, our next big PPV event. HIGH NOON will be LIVE on Twitch Thursday September 13th and will run out of the San Jose Arena. We have our two top matches signed: John Logan will face Brick in singles action, and Doc Wyatt will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against #1 contender “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel. We intend to have the rest of the card announced by the end of next week. Also, our next “ Warrior Grounds” house show will be September 7th at Pioneer Hall, and will feature a main event tag match of Doc Wyatt and Brick vs Lefty McDaniel and John Logan. The entire card for the show is: “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt & Brick vs “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel and John Logan Kevin Hunter vs Jimmy Hawkins Roy Carter vs “Young Gun” Mathews Injury updates: “Young Gun” Miller suffered a pretty nasty concussion in his tag match last week. While we expect a full recovery, we’re going to be cautious and hold him out of action for a few weeks, and he will be re-evaluated at the end of September. Jack Gold, despite getting jumped in the locker room, did not suffer any serious injuries and has been cleared to wrestle. Jack has also issued an open challenge to the assailant- who we believe to be a Warrior Pro wrestler- to a match at HIGH NOON. He has prepared a statement that we will post after this news conference. I have with me both participants for our World Championship match- “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel and “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt. We can now open it up for questions. Doc: Announce me properly Tank: Excuse me? Doc: Announce me properly Tank. I am your World Champion. Might be time to start showing some fucking respect. Lefty: You can hold off on doing that, not sure that title is going to be there for that long. Doc: (glares across the table) Your World Champion will now answer questions. Reporter: Doc, how do you feel going into your first title defense, and do you think your commitments to the 49th Parallel Tournament will have any impact on your ability to prepare? Doc: I feel amazing- I’m in peak physical condition, and I’m alone, atop this sport. The 49th Parallel and this fight will not impact each other, I’m winning them both. The reality is I don’t lose. I didn’t lose in the Golden Gate Tournament. I didn’t lose in my title match. I didn’t lose in the first round of the 49th Parallel. I don’t see why that would change anytime soon. My real issue is my opponent, and this hand-picked nepotism that screams of collusion and unfair favoritism. How Tank has chosen to run this company is a joke, and has been since the doors opened. That’s fine, if he wants to serve me up his family I will gladly beat each and every one of them. I’ll beat is weak ass nephew over there. Then I can beat Lefty’s old ass father. Hell, we can dig up Tank’s dead mom if you want and I’ll pin her in a ring too if that’s what he fancy’s. Tank: That’s enough Doc: Sure thing Tank, whatever you say. Reporter: Lefty, how are you feeling heading into your first World Title match of your career? Lefty: Right now? Sore. You know, Doc wants to talk about nepotism and favoritism. Tank didn’t give me this title shot- Doc did. It was Doc, too afraid of a rematch with John Logan, who decided to jump me before a match and DQ Logan. Doc decided he wanted to face either me or Vic. Now guess what Doc, you got your fucking wish. At HIGH NOON you get to face a guy you know nothing about. I’ve been wrestling in Japan for the last year. My style, my moves- you don’t have a clue. You could have rolled the dice with Logan, a guy you already beat, but no- you get me. Next Friday, Logan and I both get to work out our payback on you and Doc. But September 13th? Oh, that’s a whole different playground. High Noon, I get to do what everyone has been wanting to do since day one of this company. I get to shut you the fuck up. So get all that talking out of your system. Annoy everyone you want in the 49th Parallel. Come HIGH NOON, your words won’t mean shit when I’m beating the crap out of you. Reporter: Tank- your nephew is not under contract with Warrior Pro correct? How will that work if he wins the title? Tank: Lefty is under a “freelance” contract, which means that he is free to work dates with whoever he wants, but if he holds a title belt Warrior Pro gets first rights on his dates for as long as he holds it. Doc: That’s a non-issue in this case- this belt is in no danger of leaving its current owner. Certainly not to a fucking McDaniel. Lanky: Keep yapping Wyatt, I want to remember the sound of your voice before I break you’re fucking jaw. Doc: Fuck you! Both men leap over the table and jaw at each other nose to nose before Tank and security break them up, causing an impromptu end to the press conference….
After the press conference, a couple of promos appeared on WPW.com “Perfection” Jack Gold To Whom It May Concern- you have my attention. I am aaaaaall ears. Step on up, and show yourself. I get why you felt you had to attack me from behind. You knew. You knew that attacking me face to face would have ended poorly for you. I was focused on the fluke loss to Vic Baron, but now I have a new goal. So come on out, take your beating honorably and I can move on to bigger and better things. Mystery Opponent Lurking in the shadows, a voice is heard but no face is made out
Jack Gold. I’ve been watching you, listening to you. You claim PERFECTION. You claim ABSOLUTION. But those are lies. Those are fallacies that you tell to convince us, and to convince yourself. But last Friday you proved to all of us, that you- are not- perfect. But do not worry. I accept your challenge. At High Noon, I will teach you. I will show you what you lack. On September 13th, I will MAKE you PERFECT.
Out of the shadows walks MACHINE GUN MAYHEM!!!

This Friday acts as the “go home” show before the second major show for Warrior Pro Wrestling "High Noon" next Thursday LIVE on Twitch- highlighted by a huge tag team grudge match, plus a show case of young talent trying to climb the latter. The card for Warrior Grounds #2: Roy Carter vs “Young Gun” MathewsRoy Carter makes his first appearance in Warrior Pro since returning from the ZIP Japan tourney. He looks to reshape the last image fans have of him, getting walked out of the ring by medical at Call to Arms after a bloody match with Machine Gun Mayhem. He’ll take on the debuting rookie who will try and make a name for himself. Kevin Hunter vs “Flyin” Jimmy HawkinsBoth promising youngsters, both working through growing pains. After a stellar Golden Gate tournament, Hunter has struggled to find his footing, culminating in a loss at Call to Arms. Hawkins likewise has struggled to string wins together despite some highly entertaining matches. This will be a classic speed vs power matchup, and the winner could see themselves getting a match at High Noon. “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel & John Logan vs “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt & BrickA grudge match worthy of PPV. Logan and Wyatt have been at each other since the promotion opened its doors, and Doc’s recent alliance with Brick has only escalated tensions. Caught in the cross fire is Lefty McDaniel, who received a beat down to prevent Logan from a rematch, only to earn the title shot himself. At High Noon, all four men will settle scores, but Friday should act as the ultimate primer for what’s to come…
Promos Kevin Hunter Ever since Call To Arms, Kevin Hunter has been waiting. Been trainin. Gettin that fire in the belly. Man nothing Kevin Hunter wanted more than for the phone to ring with my opponent. Flyin Jimmy? You drew the short straw. You gotta deal with my frustration. You gotta deal with my anger. My RAMPAGE. Friday is a new day. Its time everyone remembers who Kevin Hunter is. Jimmy Hawkins Gotta admit man, I’ve had a tough stretch of matches. Some I shoulda won, some I coulda won. But shit, that’s fine. It only takes one. One win to forget the losses, and get me back on track. Kevin Hunter is a big dude. I respect that. But if he wants to beat me, he’s gonna have to catch me. And that’s not gonna happen. You know it, I know it, and come Friday- poor, angry Kevin Hunter is gonna know it.

The last stop before Warrior Pro Wrestling’s next big event, High Noon (Thursday Live on Twitch) served as the perfect primer for the event ahead. All three matches were entertaining, and we got full clarity on the card for next week. Scroll down for results, recaps, and promos for the house show… Results: Roy Carter vs "Young Gun" MathewsRecap: Roy Carter looked like his head was still in Japan when this match started. Lacking energy and assertion, Carter let the Young Gun into the fight, and it almost cost him. The match went back and forth, with Mathews largely dictating the pace. Eventually the rookie made a mistake and walked into a “Game Over” Gotch piledriver… but Carter failed to cover. His next move was countered by Mathews into a German suplex for a close two count. Carter landed a neckbreaker into a running kick for a near fall. Now the pace really started to pick up, exchanges back and forth. Mathews hits a bulldog, into a running knee, into a back drop- but the sequence seemed to gas him. It was all the opening Roy Carter needed, throwing the rooking into the corner before locking in the flying arm bar for the submission.
Winner: Roy Carter Match Rating: ** As the ring clears, suddenly the lights go out in the arena. A dim spotlight appears with a figure underneath. It’s hard to make out exactly who it is, but when he begins to speak, it becomes clear who that figure is...“Ladies and Gentleman. I would like a minute to introduce myself to you. I am Machine Gun Mayhem, and I am here to save you all. From what you ask? From the tyranny and evil that is presented to you time and time again in your life. Even in this very ring, you are presented with evils that must be conquered and destroyed. Two weeks ago you witnessed a man that claimed perfection. That man is a FALSE PROFIT, and I am here to strike down his fallacies. I too, was a believer- but his performance against the Baron known as Vic was proof that his truth stand as lies. I cannot let that stand. I will not let HIM stand. In one week, I will do what I have always done. I will save, you- the people. I will be your hero, your champion… in MAYHEM….”
The spotlight goes out and the arena is again covered in darkness. When the lights come back on, the ring is empty… Kevin Hunter vs Jimmy HawkinsRecap: Easily the match of the night and regardless of the winner, both men put on a show for the crowd. If Jimmy Hawkins was looking for a different outcome from the first time these two met at the Golden Gate Tournament, it wasn’t coming at the start of this match. A refocused, more determined Kevin Hunter picked up right where he left of the last time these two met- rag dolling Hawkins around the ring, dictating pace, and looking like an unbeatable monster. Multiple times in this match, Hawkins would try to mount offense of his own, only to see it cut off by Hunter, and the tossing around the ring would begin again. As the match wore on however, Hunter began to show some signs of fatigue, and the exchanges became a little more even. Hawkins followed up a dive to the corner with a superkick into a slingblade for a very close nearfall. Hunter responded with a suplex to the outside. After brawling in the crowd, the two went back into the ring and went back and forth before Hunter suplexed Hawkins out of the ring again. More brawling outside, with Hunter getting the advantage before working back into the ring. Both men look exhausted, before an insane ending sequence:
Hunter whips Hawkins into the corner, and goes for a running splash- but Hawkins ducks and Hunter eats the turnbuckle. Dazed on the ground, Hawkins takes advantage- going up top and hitting his twisted senton before going back up to finish things off with a Hawk Splash… except Hunter gets out of the way- and finishes Hawkins off with a Lights Out powerbomb for the win.
Winner: Kevin Hunter Rating: **** Post Match: Hunter picks up Hawkins up off the mat, they exchange words before shaking hands and exiting separately… "Lanky" Lefty McDaniel & John Logan vs Brick & "Gentleman" Doc WyattRecap: If there was any doubt that bad blood exists between these four men, this match put those doubts to bed. Hard hitting right from the jump, the match started off with Doc and Logan facing off for the first time since their championship bought at Call To Arms, but quickly moved to away as early tags from both sides saw multiple matchups. The early story of the match seemed to center around the chemistry between the various teammates. Brick and Logan looked well oiled, isolating their opponent and double teaming whenever possible, while Lanky and Logan seemed more interested in trying to take turns going at it alone. The cooperation from the champ and his associate paid dividends, and it seemed like they may have the inside track- until it appeared Brick- as imposing a presence as there is, seemed visibly gassed giving the opening Logan and Lanky needed. But it didn’t come easy- Lanky would hit back to back Left Handed Scissors on the giant, only to see him kick out both times. After strike exchanges and a tag to Doc- momentum switch back as the champ sunk in a figure 4 deeeeep that Lanky barely got to the ropes for the break, and then a sneaky brass knuckles punch produced a very near fall pin. The action moved outside the ring as all four men brawled, eventually settling back down with Logan and Doc exchanging in the ring before Doc hit the same piledriver to superman punch that won him the title… but this time he didn’t cover. More back and forth before tags are made on both sides. Brick- after Logan tagged out, took a cheap shot before powerbombing Logan off the apron, and suddenly our co-main events for High Noon are brawling with each other, resulting in Lanky landing a Left Handed Scissors cutter to the champ, who rolls out the ring. Lanky turns his attention to Brick, who he doles out another cutter to, this time for the three count and the victory.
Winner: “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel and John Logan Match Rating: *** Post Match: Both Doc and Brick roll out of the ring clutching their necks- Doc grabbing his belt and raising it up in the air. In the ring both Lanky and Logan point to their respective match-ups, Lanky making the title belt motion on his waist and mouthing “One week” while pointing at Doc as the show goes off the air… After the show, the full lineup for High Noon (Next Thursday Live on Twitch) was announced: World Heavyweight Title: Doc Wyatt vs “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel Brick vs John Logan Machine Gun Mayhem vs Jack Gold Kevin Hunter vs Roy Carter Gears of War vs Massholes Post Show Promos: Kevin Hunter:Kevin Hunter is back. Been sayin it- you people gotta start listenin. Those loses? Blips on the radar man. I’m gonna keep doin what I do. Gonna keep rampaging- wrecking havoc. Nobody safe right now. You wanna put Roy Carter in front of me? Fine. Roy Carter gonna need good medical insurance. “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel: Doc- you scared yet? I just chopped down your stupid 7 foot boulder of a body guard. You have 6 days man. Then you have no one to hide behind. Sleep long and hard with that belt you have, because 6 days. That’s how long you have left with it.

We are all set for a barn burner of a show tonight, with heavy implications up and down the roster. Main show starts at 6:30pm PT on Twitch, with potentially 1-2 preshow matches going live early. Show will be LIVE here: www.twitch.tv/lankylefty17After the show, a full recap with post match promo’s will be posted here. For now, here is a rundown of what to expect tonight… Gears of War vs MassholesTag team action to kick off the show, where powerhouse team Gears of War will look to follow up their devastating win over the Young Guns by taking on the resident obnoxious drunks, the Massholes. This one should be hard hitting and an entertaining glimpse at the emerging tag team division. Kevin Hunter vs Roy CarterIs Kevin Hunter ready to make the leap? After a strong showing in the Golden Gate Tournament, Hunter brushed off a disappointing string of losses to put up a big win against Jimmy Hawkins at Warrior Grounds #2. Now he faces another impressive, budding star in Roy Carter. This should be a physical match, one that could rocket the winner into the World Title conversation. Machine Gun Mayhem vs “Perfection” Jack GoldThe motives of Machine Gun are never fully understood, and this isn’t an exception. Miffed by Jack Gold’s claims of perfection, Machine Gun has set out to show the world that he is a liar. The match itself should be a speed vs power dynamic, where Gold will have to avoid damage long enough to tire his much larger opponent. Machine Gun will probably be favored, but don’t count out Gold, who is always a “24 Karat” finish away from stealing this win. Brick vs John LoganA good old fashion grudge match, that goes back to last month’s big show, Call To Arms, where Brick attacked Logan after his championship match. Brick and Doc Wyatt followed that up by getting Logan disqualified in his match to receive a rematch, effectively derailing Logan’s championship aspirations. Brick has yet to discuss his actions or their reasons other than its “jus biznus”- but it seems obvious he has decided to hitch his wagon to Doc Wyatt. Needless to say, there are issues to work through. A win for Logan puts him back in the title picture, a win for Brick effectively ends the John Logan threat in the near future… Heavyweight Championship: “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt vs “Lanky” Lefty McDanielThe match that wasn’t supposed to happen. Lefty, nephew to owner Tank and only contracted as a part time wrestler to Warrior Pro, was beaten down by Doc and Brick before his opening tournament match in order to disqualify John Logan. Immediately after that, he squared off against a white hot Vic Baron for the rights to a title shot. Despite the beatdown, and the best efforts from Vic, Lefty pulled off the stunning victory. Now he stands as a legit threat to the first ever World Champ, and that Left Handed Scissors has the ability to end any match at any time. Will the Doc Wyatt era continue? Or will his short reign give way to the McDaniel family? TUNE IN TONIGHT FOR ALL THE ACTION. Promo Time...
John Logan Since I signed here at Warrior Pro, I’ve had one goal. Be the World Heavyweight Champion. It’s all I’ve ever wanted. It’s all I’ve ever thought about. My life has revolved around what I need to do to get that belt around my waist. It has been my obsession.
Now? Now I have a new goal. I have a new purpose. Beating the ever living crap out of that 400 pound sack of shit. You did it Brick- you’ve succeeded in getting my attention, and you get to reap all the rewards that come with that victory. Tonight, my life revolves around destroying you. Now this is all I want. You know, I come from a family of loggers. My grandfather was a logger, my father was a logger. Tonight Brick? I’m chopping your big ass to the ground.
Timber motherfucker. Lanky Lefty McDaniel Doc Wyatt and I are not that different when you really think about it. We both grew up in this business, we’ve both been all over the world. We both know the sacrifice, the dedication required to be at the top of this game. And yet? He has the title, and I don’t. He knows what it feels like to stand at the top- I don’t. I’m here to change that. This company is my family’s company. It’s in my blood. That title might as well be my birthright. In a few short hours, the talk ends- and the only thing standing in the way of my ultimate achievement, is Doc Wyatt. I told Doc that he better appreciate his time with that belt, because the clock was ticking. We’re approaching zero hour- time to collect on my promise. Doc Wyatt & Brick Doc and Brick stand next to each other, Doc doing all the talking with the championship belt over his shoulder while Brick stands, arms folded staring stone faced into the camera.
It is amazing, the balls on everyone around here, am I right Brick? Everyone swinging their dick around like they’re the big man on campus. Like they’re the top dog. Like I should be fucking scared of them. John Logan couldn’t pin me, and he can’t pin this human wall. Logan is a pretender. He can bark all he wants about chopping down trees- but the reality is he’d be better off pulling weeds.
And Lanky Lefty…er…Lefty Lanky… whatever your stupid name is- I got a message for you… I’m the big dick around here. This is my turf. Who in that locker room has pinned me? What? Brick- who has pinned me?
(silence)
That’s right. No one. Not John Logan, not Vic Baron, not even that boogeyman Machine Gun Mayhem. This belt sits on my shoulder because I took it, and it will stay around my waist because I’m better than everyone else. Tonight sounds important to you Lefty. Sounds like you wanna make your uncle proud- your family proud. For me? Tonight is just another night. Walk in, win, walk out champ.
