That main event was great! Byron "Suplex Time" Worthy was on fire, and that double German into the murder backdrop was a particuarly nasty combination. He had the match in the bag, but all it took was one big powerbomb to turn the lights out. That was a fun one. Also, always happy to see Stan Classic get some ring time.

OBNOXIO SURFACES...
*The scene opens with an extreme close-up of some brightly colored balls, every color of the rainbow represented. The camera pans out to reveal a large ballpit, nearly the size of a swimming pool. In the center of the otherwise still pit, a subtle jostling. Motion. Balls are shaking, rustling, moving, trembling. They go completely still again for a few seconds before an enormous eruption sends a volley of balls of all colors flying skyward. A creepy clown in snorkeling gear bursts through the surface and stands facing the camera, buried waist-deep. He removes an utterly unnecessary swimming cap, set of goggles and the tube jutting out of his mouth..* OBNOXIO: Nothing like a nice relaxing swim to start your day off right, I always say. Really gets the blood flowing. And you need good bloodflow for, well… getting your blood flowing… *Suddenly, disturbingly, Obnoxio balls up his fist and starts smashing himself in the face with it, like he’s trying to completely flatten his own nose flush against the rest of his face. Blood spurts down over his mouth, across his lips, dripping off of his chin.* OBNOXIO: Heard through the grapevine Machine Gun Mayhem still has a hankering for a bit of my blood. I can’t blame him; it’s damn good blood. *Disgustingly, Obnoxio sticks out his tongue and starts lapping at the blood falling profusely from his own nose like an old dog drinking out of an outdoor faucet. He rubs his belly and lets loose a satisfied mmmmmm.* OBNOXIO: I admit, I too was disappointed by the lack of liquid in our last match, Machine Gun Mayhem. I can definitely agree with you on that one. We didn’t give those fans the redness they required, the crimson that they craved. Neither of us went home with more than a few knicks and scratches. We can’t allow that to happen again. *Using his red- and white-striped clownsuit sleeve, Obnoxio wipes away some of the blood from his mouth, just enough so he can speak without burbling.* OBNOXIO: At DOOMSDAY, I don’t wanna get out of the ring with you until at least one of us is in dire need of medical attention. It’d be a shame to go to bed without some stitches and staples in my skin at the end of that night. I won’t settle for anything less than being completely awash in each other’s blood. How’s that sound to ya, MGM? Sounds to me like it’d be a regular laugh riot. *And with that, the blood-drenched and deranged jester vanishes into the splendidly-colored depths of the ball pit.*

Once again, its fight week, and Warrior Pro Wrestling brings you their first show since celebrating their one-year anniversary. The show will feature grudge matches from top to bottom, a Heavyweight Championship fight that will end an epic months long feud, and includes the in ring return of “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins. DOOMSDAY will air LIVE on Twitch at 6pm PT THIS WEDNESDAY“Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins vs Trey TaylorHawkins made his return from AAW an eventful one when he superkicked Rampage Hunter after his match at Warrior Grounds. The brash young flier seems intent to carry over the momentum he had from a long Intercontinental Championship reign in the Jersey promotion, but Trey Taylor is no slouch- and the rookie would love an upset victory on one of the biggest stages of his career. Tank McDaniel vs Austin BaronTank and Austin have had a complicated relationship over the past 6 months. Tank siding with Wonderland, and even replacing Austin with the enigmatic dojo owner, caused a rift between the two long time friends. But the two are ready to put aside differences and move on… after a match that will pit two of the biggest stars of the past against each other in a match that has never happened in either man’s long career. Warrior Pro Tag Team #1 Contender: The Gold Standard vs The Reed BrothersBoth teams won their match at Warrior Grounds to lead this ”Anything Goes” Match: Machine Gun Mayhem vs ObnoxioComing off of an oddly clean match at Warriorversary, both men seek a bloody second chance. The match has no specific title or rule set, other than there are no rules (this point was insisted on by both sides). Expect buckets of blood and carnage… we think- its always hard to tell with these two… Warrior Pro Tag Team #1 Contender: The Gold Standard vs The Reed BrothersBoth teams won their match at Warrior Grounds to lead to this match. The winner will get the next shot at The Barons for tag team gold. The Reeds- specifically Maverick- have been red hot as of late, and may be starting to reach the potential fans have been waiting for since they were signed to the promotion. Meanwhile Jack Gold and Stan Classic are looking to keep playing the spoiler, after upsetting GoW they’ll aim to put the Reeds on ice and set up a tense grudge match with Austin and Vic, two guys at the heart of the Wonderland Dojo feud… Warrior Pro Heavyweight Championship (In A CAGE): “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt (c) vs John LoganThe climactic finale to this bitter rivalry. Doc Wyatt won the last matchup via brass knuckles, and now John Logan will get one last shot at the championship that has eluded him his entire career. This one will have no DQ and will be fought inside a steel cage. Both men have made it clear they intend to leave everything in the ring, shaping this one up to be a potential all timer.

Doomsday turned out to be a wildly unpredictable, brutal show that left for some shocking moments and a crowded training room by the end of the night. Scroll down for full matches, recaps, and a very interesting post show press conference…. “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins vs Trey TaylorRecap: Hawkins was impressive in his return match to Warrior Pro, and Trey Taylor showed why people in the back have high hopes for the rookie, but the real story of the match was Rampage Hunter- who came out to level some revenge on Hawkins for laying him out at the end of Warrior Grounds #12. But Hawkins avoided Rampages attack for the most part and stayed focused enough to earn his first Warrior Pro victory in almost a year.
Winner: Jimmy Hawkins Rating: ***** Tank McDaniel vs Austin BaronRecap: This match was visual proof that father time is a motherfucker. Both men, legends in their heyday, came out wanting to turn back the clock and put on a classic- but as the match wore on fatigue seemed to kill the momentum. But while time can rob you of speed, power declines slower and a second Tank Driver left Austin Baron out cold and motionless. He was stretchered to the back as a concerned Tank followed.
Winner: Tank McDaniel Rating: *** Machine Gun Mayhem ObnoxioRecap: A vicious, brutal matchup that played out how most people assumed the first encounter would go. Both men were bleeding profusely as weapons, barbed wire, and exploding boards were used religiously the whole match. In the end, it was a Spine Bomb from Obnoxio that landed the back of Machine Gun’s head on a sledgehammer with a sickening sound that would secure the victory. For the second time tonight, a stretcher was needed to get a wrestler to the back, though this time Obnoxio did not seem worried, and in fact laughed hysterically until Machine Gun was all the way out of the ring.
Winner: Obnoxio Rating: **** Warrior Pro Tag Team #1 Contender: The Gold Standard vs The Reed BrothersRecap: A wild and action-packed match that saw both teams go right after each other. The X factor the entire match looked to be Stan Classic, who’s bruising style seemed to rattle the Reed brothers as he tossed the smaller duo around the ring the whole match. Eventually a thunderous powerbomb to Rip Reed put an end to their title hopes and put the Barons/Wonderland Dojo feud front and center going forward…
Winner: Gold Standard Rating: **** Warrior Pro Heavyweight Championship (In A CAGE): “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt (c) vs John LoganRecap: What was built up as a dramatic conclusion to a storied rivalry fell completely flat in the ring. Both men came out firing and Logan seemed to look strong early, but something seemed off and he eventually stalled out offensively as Doc started to pour it on. The champ seemed to smell blood and quickly went for the kill with a Black Gold cutter that put Logan out in shockingly short order…
Winner: AND STIIIILL Champion, Doc Wyatt Rating: ** Reporters gathered separately around both main eventers in the back as they gave their thoughts on the match…Doc Wyatt, with teammate Roy Carter sprayed champagne in front of reporters… John Logan sits alone in the corner of the lockerroom still in full ring gear, two big bags of ice on both knees as he speaks to reporters: The injury report coming out of the show:Austin Baron was treated for a major concussion following his match and his status going forward is unknown. Baron, who has had neck issues in the past that required surgery, was taken to a local hospital where tests showed no damage. Warrior Pro officials gave no word on what this might mean for the Tag Team champions…
Machine Gun Mayhem once again eluded medical attention and disappeared from the arena, though he did leave an “IOU” with the training staff indicating he owed them “an injured wrestler to be paid in the near future.”
And finally, in a rather shocking announcement, Warrior Pro revealed that John Logan was to have surgery tomorrow to repair damage in both knees. Few details were given on the extent of the damage but sources say Logan has been wrestling for months with a torn meniscus in one knee and bone spurs in the other. There was no official time frame for recovery given but expectations are he is likely out for the remainder of the year.

Warrior Pro Wrestling is proud to announce the Gorilla Memorial Tournament, which will crown the inaugural Warrior Pro Intercontinental Champion. The Tournament gets its name from Gorilla McDaniel, the late brother to owner Tank and father to Lefty McDaniel, who tragically passed away 10 years ago in a plane crash. Gorilla was a 5 time Intercontinental Champion in both WFoW and CWF, as well as a former tag team champion with Tank in the Texas territories. To honor his memory, a 14 man single elimination tournament will kickoff starting next week. On top of stars from within Warrior Pro, Tank has recruited rising talent from some of the best promotions in the country. Given their recent status of holding IC belts for other companies, both Rampage Hunter (iWe) and Jimmy Hawkins (AAW) have earned first round byes and will automatically advance to the second round.
The Tournament Schedule: Round 1: Night One (Sept 19th):Roland Chang III (TIPWF) vs Jack Gold Roy Carter vs Trey Taylor Stan Classic vs Markus Winter Main Event: Tank and Lefty McDaniel vs Gears of WarNight Two (Sept 20th):Kyle Anderson (Phoenix Rising) vs Cage Wageman (PCP) Maverick Reed vs Byron Worthy Robino (iWe) vs Danny Angelo Main Event: The Jackson Hole Outlaws vs Cogburn RanchRound 2 will feature the winners of round one and take place on Sept 27thThe Semis and Finals will take place at the next Warrior Pro event on October 10th LIVE… Matches confirmed for that event: Conclusion of the IC tournament Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Baron Family (c) vs Gold Standard Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt (c) vs Lil Lariato

Gorilla Memorial Tournament: Round One Preview
The Gorilla Memorial Tournament kicks off this week with first round action spread over two nights. The winners will advance to next week and stay alive for a shot at becoming the inaugural Warrior Pro Intercontinental Champion. On top of some highly entertaining tournament matchups, each night has a showcase main event to cap off the night. Tune back in THIS THURSDAY & FRIDAY for all the Round One action!
Night One Match PreviewsRoland Chang III (TIPWF) vs “Perfection” Jack GoldThe young stud from Texas Independent will face off against rising star and member of the Wonderland Dojo, Jack Gold. This one will be a classic speed vs power, as RC3 will try and contain the faster Gold while the tag team number one contender will attempt to keep this contest “in the air.” No doubt what happens outside the ring will have a part in this one as well, as both men are known to bring entourages- this will no doubt be an excellent kickoff match to the tournament. Roy Carter vs Trey TaylorRoy Carter has made a habit of picking on Training Grounds alum over the last year, but Trey Taylor could prove a dangerous opponent. While some may pencil in Roy as a shoe in for the final four, Taylor took Jimmy Hawkins to the brink and has all the tools to pull off the massive upset. Stan Classic vs Markus WinterExpect a good ol fashion brawl in this one. Winters impressed quite a few people with his performance in the G2 tournament, and now we’ll see if he’s been able to build on that experience- because it won’t be easy. Stan Classic is veteran with a well-earned reputation for ending an opponent’s night with a vicious closeline or four. Regardless of who comes out on top, this could be where to look for MotN. Showcase Main Event: Tank and Lefty McDaniel vs Gears of WarLefty asked for this match as a personal favor as a way to properly honor his father’s memory and kick off the tournament proper. So it will be Tank and Lefty against the fearsome former Tag Team Champions, Gears of War. Night Two Match Previews Kyle Anderson (Phoenix Rising) vs Cage Wageman (PCP)Night Two kicks off with to impressive outside talents facing off against each other for the “privilege” of meeting Rampage Hunter in Round 2. Both Anderson and Wageman bring impressive reputations from their home promotions, and both will look to broaden that reputation with a win that will not only move them to next week, but claim promotion bragging rights over the other. Maverick Reed vs Byron WorthyWorthy, after building a ton of hype following an upset over Rampage Hunter and an alignment with the Wonderland dojo, has seen his star fall in recent weeks as he struggles to find wins. Meanwhile Maverick Reed boasts an undefeated singles run in the promotion coupled with an impressive 2nd place finish in the 49th Parallel Tournament. A win for either man could be the launching pad to bigger things. Robino (iWe) vs Danny AngeloPerhaps Robino has been hearing the whispers around iWe- that the promotion seems to have Warrior Pro’s number. Obnoxio, Dirk van Oranje, King Nyu have all see success in between the ropes of the blue and yellow. Oh how sweet would it be for owner David Harley if he could claim to have the first Warrior Pro IC Champ under his umbrella. It won’t be an easy road for Robino however, as he’ll face the ultra dangerous Danny Angelo, who many pegged as the top talent in what is turning out to be an impressive inaugural class for Training Grounds. Showcase Main Event: The Jackson Hole Outlaws vs Cogburn RanchA preview of Deadeye’s main event, as Doc and Lariato bring their friends in a six man tag that’s sure to resemble a bar room brawl. Add to the mystery who will be joining Doc and Roy Carter, a question Doc has promised to answer ahead of the match…

Gorilla Memorial Tournament: Round One Night One As the show kicks off, Doc Wyatt comes out the ring to followed by a large well dressed man in cowboy boots. As he enters the ring he calls for a mic the crowd begins booing loudly…Roland Chang III (TIPWF) vs “Perfection” Jack Gold (w/ Byron Worthy)Recap: All kinds of drama in this one, even before the match started. As RC3 made his way to the ring with Chang Sr, the elder statesman of the Chang Gang grabbed a mic and said it was time RC3 proved his worth on his own, and that he needed to walk this journey alone. Chang Sr then left the ring, as the bell started. RC3 met the challenge head on as both he and Jack Gold put on a banger of an opener. It appeared that having Worthy would give Gold the advantage he would need to overcome the larger opponent, but the rookie seemed to distract the ref at the wrong times, and remove himself from the fight when Gold needed help. Eventually Chang caught Gold in a vicious body slam right near Golds corner would give him a three count without Worthy lifting a finger.
Winner: Roland Chang III Rating: ****
After the match Gold and Worthy got into a heated argument as they started walking backstage, with Gold giving Worthy a hard shove, which Worthy retaliated with a vicious elbow to the head knocking Gold out cold. Worthy pounced on Gold and continued to lay into his unconscious teammate before Stan Classic came out and pulled Worthy off of him, dragging the rookie to the back as a medical team tended to Gold… Roy Carter vs Trey TaylorRecap: The newest member of the Jackson Hole Gang, Red Masterson, accompanied Roy to the ring and instantly proved his worth, distracting the ref and breaking up two very likely submission attempts from the rookie that very likely would have resulted in a massive upset. Both Roy and Trey looked great in this one, putting on a technical back and forth match. But Red’s distractions proved too much for Trey to overcome as a neck drop into a kick to the head gave Roy Carter the edge.
Winner: Roy Carter Rating: **** Stan Classic vs Markus WinterRecap: This match almost didn’t happen at all, as Worthy, set to walk out with Stan Classic, was banished to the back by the veteran. The two men got into it and it looked for a moment like we’d see another Wonderland Dojo skirmish. Worthy though eventually relented, flipping Classic off and heading to the back.
The match was an instant classic as Markus Winter took the veteran to the brink, dropping him on his head twice for near counts, and hitting a “Winter is Coming” that was only saved by the fact that Classic was somehow able to get a hanging foot on the ropes. All the offense seemed to gas the rookie, and the wiley veteran was able to hit a thunderous lariat and grab the victory.
Winner: Stan Classic Rating: ****
After the match Classic helped the rookie up and raised his hand in a sign of respect. The two shook hands before departing the ring together… Tank and “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel vs Gears of WarRecap: An emotional match for both McDaniel’s turned into a solid performance for the family. But Gears of War, looking to get back into the tag team title picture were not feeling the nostalgia and overpowered the sentimental crowd favorites, earning the impressive victory.
Winner: Gears of War Rating: ***
After the match Lefty, tears in his eyes thanked the fans to a roaring ovation. Tank and Lefty embraced and it was announced that Lefty would be officiating the Finals of the tournament at Deadeye. STAY TUNED TOMORROW FOR NIGHT 2 OF THE FIRST ROUND!

Following the Chang III - Gold match: Roland Chang III headed to the back, adrenaline blocking out the accumulated results of Jack Gold's potent offence as he made a beeline for his family's designated locker room. Before Chang III could throw open the door, his grandfather opened it himself, directing him to enter.
Roland Chang Senior: Get in here, son.
Chang III did just that, but turned right around after entering, towering over his elder.
Roland Chang III: You see what I did? Did you see it?
Senior: Yes, son, I saw exactly what you did. You did exactly what I was hoping you would do. I walked away, because you needed to stand on your own two legs. It's been your biggest problem, and my second worst headache I deal with, your father in general, of course, being the very worst. I figured that whether you won or you lost, you would leave that ring having learned something.
III: You know what? I did learn! I showed you, and Jack Gold, and Byron Worthy, and Warrior Pro that I'm every bit as much a Chang as you or Dad! Jack Gold thought he could stand in my way, well, I showed him good!
Senior: Now, now, calm down there, no need to run a good opponent down. You did enough of that in the ring.
III: And I beat him with the family style! I put him in my dad's Wrangler Lock, and I even beat him with your old scoop slam!
Senior: That's a Wrangler Slam to you, how many times do I have to repeat that? That Wrangler Slam won me many a hard match back in my time, I tell you! But that is all good and fine, just remember that mindset you found tonight, and keep on channeling it. You do that, and I might well have to speak with Walt Callahan about getting you some real chances back home...
