I kinda went back to WWE Supercard after taking a few years break. The game is still pay to win in its core with probably every cash-grab trick imaginable implemented into it but I still kinda felt like grinding for a bit. I found a nice team, which makes things more fun and the game did improve on many aspects so it is much easier to level up and gain good cards without spending money or grinding till you bleed.

So, Mark of the Ninja just got a remaster release on consoles. I loved Mark of the Ninja, played it on the 360 when it dropped a few years back. I was checking it out in the xbox store today and noticed that the remaster is FREE!!! I don't know if it's the same for PS4, but if you were a fan and owned the game on a last gen console, perhaps it's worth checking to see if a FREE remaster is waiting for you to download! :)

Really? I mean, isn't it like a relatively new game? What is there to remaster? :) Great question! What these games SHOULD be tagged with rather than REMASTERED is RE-MARKETED. I only played Bioshock (1 and 2) last year via reverse compatibility on the xbone, it wasn't remastered, and the game was ten years old at the time, and not once did I think to myself "wow, this game looks like shit, it could really benefit from a REMASTER!". On the other hand, I played the crap out of Yakuza Kiwami, and the Ryu ga Gotoku team at Sega did an AMAZING job breathing new life into an already great game (it will be thirteen years old this December 8th), and the remaster was a vital step in reintroducing an amazing series to non Japanese audiences and brining it the attention it deserves! But yeah, most of the remasters are a waste and look like nothing more than a money grab (unless you're like KLEI Entertainment and offer owners of the original game the uprezed one for FREE! :) )

Just finished Spider Man, and enjoyed it a great deal all the way through. Nice show of control! I'm STILL bashing through all of the side stuff (just got access to the Demon Hideouts). I get so LOST in this game, I can spend hours just swinging through the city, doing all of the side quests and stuff, and I'm perfectly happy. THEN, I actually do the story stuff and am blown away by how amazing those bits are, it almost feels like two different games within the same package. I really want to get back to Yakuza 0 (and FIST OF THE NORTHSTAR!!!), but I don't want Spiderman to end!

I really want to get back to Yakuza 0 (and FIST OF THE NORTHSTAR!!!), but I don't want Spiderman to end! I figured with Red Dead coming out, Fist of the North Star having come out without me realizing it, and Soul Calibur coming out soon, that I'd push through. Even more than that, when the story picks up, it PICKS UP like a runaway freight train, and I felt compelled to jump ahead to the next chapter to deal with what was going on. Love swinging around the city, and I'm certainly not going to stop playing just because I got through the story. Also, there's a post credit scene at the end that put a big smile on my face. WARNING, DO NOT CLICK ON THE SPOILER UNLESS YOU BEAT THE GAME OR DON'T CARE ABOUT KNOWING STUFF AT THE END. Miles telling Peter about his "changes," and jumps up on the ceiling, only for Peter to follow him right up there. Perfect little scene, and with the Osborn scene, already has me hyped for the sequel. The Stan Lee cameo earlier on was much welcomed, too.
I felt the game did a great job establishing its own canon without disrespecting the source material, or going too far out of the way to reference it. Going too far in either direction would be awkward, and the producers smartly took the middle path.

Started messing around with FPW on the PS4, and wow, do I feel like a n00b. I am so happy this game exists on both PC and console and it seems to be being well received even outside of this little pool of amazing humans with impeccable taste, but jeebus, I am having a hell of a time figuring stuff out. I tried making an edit (see user name...) and the interface is pretty jarring. The new system is an edit makers paradise I'm sure, but I don't know if I just don't have the attention span for this any more or what, but it's overwhelming! I still haven't finished my first edit, but I will eventually, for now though, I might give the actual game a go, maybe take Ryusuke Taguchi or Shibata for a run. I miss the old days of all of the other rosters and the legends, but I guess NJPW and a bullshit group is a good start until I can put in the work to get some peeps made up (I need my cruisers, Eddy, Benoit, Dynamite-oh, etc. Also, Vader, Jumbo, Hansen, Brody, Misawa, Kobashi, et al...). This game is really cool, and quite an evolution from FPD, FPWA, FPR and all of that stuff, I guess I just need to be patient and put in the time, hit the ropes and shake off the ring rust so to speak. :)
Messing around with the edit suite in FPW has made me respect all of you prolific edit creators even more than I already did, you people are all amazing!

This is exactly how I feel about World, I've only made 3 edits and it's taken me a week. I do not know how people make dozens in week. I'm really enjoying World though, it's great.

Couldn't resist and picked up Persona 5 on the current PSN Flash Sale. Down to $33 Canadian and when it is still retailing for $70 to $80 in Canada I figure I might as well get it while the getting it good. So that's yet another 100+ hour game on the backlog.
Also picked up RimWorld on PC. It's been on my wishlist forever and the game is going leaving early access and going full version October 17th. It looks like Prison Architect but insanely expanded where you try and build, maintain and defend a colony from a space ship that crash lands on a planet. A new trailer for the full game is due out on the 17th but here's one of the old early access trailers.

Anyone here use an external drive for their PS4? If so, how well do they perform and which brands would you recommend? I'm considering picking one up, but I've read mixed reviews about how well they work. Real first world stuff here, I could get by with the 500 GB, but I know some extra shelf space in the ol PS4 slim would be a nice addition (keep the essentials (Tekken 7, FPW, Wipeout, Yakuza, Bloodborne, etc...) on the beast while having space for some of the big newer stuff!). Thanks in advance!

Nice, if you've got that thing filled up and you give it the thumbs up, I'm thinking it's the way to go. I was thinking one TB would be good for me, I will look into Seagate. I wonder if those bastards ever go on sale (in Canada, where nothing cool EVER goes on sale)?

I got mine on Amazon.ca, but it's been so many years ago I don't remember if I bought it on sale or not. I literally bought it the same week the PS4 Pro's came out and it's been plugged in to my Pro ever since. Also keep in mind, I use mine specifically with a PS4 Pro which has the additional USB 3.0 port in the back specifically for external HD's. If you're using it on a non-Pro PS4 or the front USB ports on the Pro, they are only 2.0 USB ports so I can't vouch for performance from a 2.0 port.
