that's cool. i mean i played midnight club la alot but the only thing i hated about that game was that the races were way over the top difficult. like the game always finds some way to make sure you lose by throwing in a last minute car crossing the intersection type thing lol No commie BLUE SHELLS in Forza Horizon! If you jack up the difficulty, the game will expect you to put out a near perfect race, but it never feels like a win is impossible. It might take practice, some tuning or other tweaks here or there, but you can always squeak out a win EVENTUALLY. But no, none of that "CPU pushes car out in front of you for the win" shit in place of a good AI challenge for players. Forza Horizon is my favourite racing series, and it has earned that spot with a lot of attention to little details. Horizon won't be for everyone, it's not a "sim", it feels a lot more like need for speed, a bit more arcade control style, and for the gear heads, there are a pile of tuning and parts options, or, if you're like me and just want to drive cars really fast and like a total asshole, you can use preset performance packages provided by the developers or uploaded by users! There are racing line assists to help you find the best line and cue you when to speed up or slow down, but when you're ready, you can disable those. I haven't played any of the PROPER Forza racing games, but I am interested in trying them knowing the level of love and attention the developers put into Forza's loudmouth, obnoxious party animal sibling Horizon!

I'm on Forza Horizon 3 again. Now I'm driving an A-class maximised Evo 10 doing Rivals events on the City Streets Sprint track. I've hit a time of 2:20.474 so far.
Edit: Turns out I was looking at my rival's time of 2:20.459. My time has been corrected.

Just started Dragon Quest XI. I've heard that the base game is fairly easy, so fortunately you can play a Draconian Quest which lets you customize some handicaps. I chose harder enemies and gain little or no experience points from defeating lower level enemies than your character. All I've really done so far is the basic tutorial, but it already make me want to go back and replay XVII after this. And I've still got Spider-Man coming in the mail as well.

I've been playing Darkest Dungeon for a while now, and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. Great game, but tough.

I've put a lot of hours into that game to the point of obsession. Only reason I took a break is because a new DLC is coming out for it soon and I am going to start again.

It's got a great Lovecraftian vibe to it, and I like the artstyle of the game. Wayne June is excellet as the ancestor/commentary. I took a level 2 party to the courtyard yesterday, and was promply beaten to a pulp by some mosquito looking monsters. I'll probably stay away from that place for a while. :)

Yeah, don't be in any hurry to open up the courtyard. Once it's open the Crimson Curse will spread throughout the other parts of the Hamlet in that Crimson Curse creatures will start appearing in them increasing the chance of getting party members infected. There's actually a little bar on one of the screens that updates you about how much of the hamlet has been infected by the curse. I think the only way to reduce the spread is to do Crimson Court missions.
Also when the Crimson Court is opened that insane monk will start showing up and if you have any infected party members out on a mission he will incessantly hunt your party down until you kill him. I don't even bother opening up the courtyard until I have some characters leveled up fairly well.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll stay clear of the courtyard until I feel up to the task. :)

After watching Godfather 1 and 2 again after years since first viewing, got back into one of my favorite games of all time; Mafia (1). There's a "remastered" mod that makes it look pretty decent, all things considered.
Then, found an actual Godfather licensed game, The Godfather: The Game. It's really freaking cool. Your character basically comes up in the Corleone family, and is always around the edges of pivotal scenes from the movie, doing the dirty off-screen work implied therein. And it's really fun extorting and taking over businesses and playing gangster dressup and all the rest. Just walking around 1940's Little Italy, Brooklyn, and the rest of the burroughs is cool.
