I can’t believe we are advocating fucking MDickie mods over a couple week delay. Minds have been lost. MDickie. What the fuck is happening here? You should consider the possibility that that wasn't actually a serious suggestion.

I never thought there would be another Fire Pro, I'm kinda surprised any kind of wait bothers people. I mean the alternative was no Fire Pro so...? I mean it's not like EA is putting out Fire Pro lootbox edition. People gonna mad though I guess....a couple months compared to like 12 years seems like nothing, regardless of if PC people deserve it first or whatever. Hell 10 years ago I would've fought an old lady to get the Wonderswan version with mods... I understand all the anger though I guess, usually I'm mad about stuff like this but in Fire Pro's case I would wait five more years and let them garnish my wages. Just so weird to be seeing people mad after we all thought it was never going to happen. Its not about waiting until september (if it does come out in september...), For me its the fact that for months they told us we'll get it in the same time as the US PS4 release, and they delayed it just a week before and it feels like that milking a new audience is more important to them since we'll still be there anyway

I'm sure if they said something like "we'll be pushing all the DLC and updates to PS4 before the PC gets anything", they would find significantly less people waiting around when they finally did update the PC version. At this point it's just taking the loyalty of the PC player base for granted; only reason I can see why the PC crowd is always kept in the dark on potential issues until the last moment. While creating a new console fan base is important, they need to remember to keep the PC players in the loop (at least) as they will be the player base that Spike has to rely on for remaining DLC sales if/when the console version flops. If the game doesn't go over well on PS4, how many console players do you think will bother paying for the remaining DLC?

The wait doesn't even bother me. Considering how many problems the ps4 version is having, I'd much rather them delay as long as they need to so they can iron out the main bugs involving the DLC as apposed to expecting people to pay for broken content

I mean, at least MDickie put out gameplay. Spike can't even claim that.

I'm pissed off with all this but I get it and i cant blame them. However, i am more pissed off at the lack of clarity on this september due date. They said the same thing back in January with fire promoter and that still hasnt come out until "fall 2018" now. There is a lot of disorder going on with the development team, and Yeah i get why but i think I'm more pissed at the prospect that they may never get it together and the product will always have major holes in it. My confidence in them releasing a complete product, that looks/feels well polished and is without game breaking bugs is sort of shot at the moment.

As a coder myself and after experience in that field, the worst thing you can do for your product is set a concrete release time or date. #1 mistake companies make, especially when you're a small team early into development like FirePromoter evidently was. 9/10 times, it's going to be delayed. Without question. I see it all the time outside video games (and this is why it happens in video games a majority of the time). Spike was extremely foolish to do that and it's egg on their face, but it's a learning experience for them. I, and many others I know, learned the hard way as Spike has now.

I definitely don't blame the Spike-Chunsoft development crew either. This was because of the corporate end. Matsumoto even said back when Spike-Chunsoft ended the early access on PC he wanted it at least six months longer, so I don't hold him responsible.

I'm new to FPW as of this game. I bought into it in Early Access because it looked pretty sweet. In my opinion it's giving them an out by saying, "We should be lucky we got it at all". They have given us timelines that they've yet to even get close to. I bought into this with whispers of a promoter mode. Each time we got close to it, it got pushed back. It seems like they've got to know more about how long these delays are that they should be aware they won't hit their deadline or even come close. I understand the love and support from the guys that have been there from the beginning. I understand wanting to defend them. Everyone has their opinion. Mine is that they've done a completely shitty job of communicating anything about this game. I have been dying to get my hands on a promoter mode that to be quite honest, I think this time next year we'll still be wondering when it'll release. That's me being optimistic.
Again, I understand the love and I fully expect that I'll have people hate my opinion. That's fine, we can agree to disagree. Even a small development group should be held accountable for shitty communication.

At this point, I want the release just so we can end the circlejerk of "I'm angry..." "WELL, I'M NOT!"

At this point, I want the release just so we can end the circlejerk of "I'm angry..." "WELL, I'M NOT!" I agree. Honestly the frustration is not knowing the release date. Most people will ultimately choose whether to download an update or not. The frustration people really have,is being unable to decide until the unknown becomes clear.

I'm not sure if it would be smart to release the DLC in late September with WWE 2k19 coming out around that time.
Now I know that not everyone playing the PC version of World will be hyped up about 2K's game, but it's significant since it's the leading wrestling franchise on the market right now.

Once Spike gets the PS4 version released before WWE2k19 is out, they should be fine. Delaying the DLC specifically for PC just to avoid releasing during WWE 2k19's window would just make matters worse, imo.
