To avoid confusion, mod support will no longer continue in this location. Additional updates and information for versions 1.02/2.0 of the mod can be found on the mod suite test discord server.

Just setting a place holder for a new mod that I'm working on. I'll have more information later today. Uhh.. why make this clickbait thread before you're even finished? What is the point of this?

Does this mean you can make changes to the download and it will create an edit for you?

Does this mean you can make changes to the download and it will create an edit for you? It will open the downloaded edit and allow you to either update it directly (Overwrite), or create a new copy (Save). So, if you don't want to make a copy you could just modify the edit directly and continue to use it; you just need to ensure that it's been unsubscribed from the workshop so it's not updated when you restart the game.

So it overwrites the steam save locally? Cool! I still prefer to make an edit out of them to avoid updates personally. So best of both worlds it sounds like.

Ok this sounds awesome, I'm no longer butthurt about the pre-emptive click-bait.
I still think you should wait until you have something to release before you create a thread though.

Yeah, once you've subscribed to an edit it's downloaded to your save file. The subscription just keeps it updated, but isn't necessary in order to actually use or modify the edit; it's why edits being pulled from the workshop doesn't affect your local versions. If you want to avoid updates, just unsubscribe from the workshop and any changes you make will be permanent.

If this does half of what it sounds like, a) it cannot have been over-hyped/teased and b) View's requests just jumped to the top of the list - this is how you do a bribe, people. :)

It does mostly what it says it does. I just sent him my version of it with a working unsubscribe option (so your carefully changed downloads won't get overwritten when an author updates, and you don't have to remember to do anything extra afterwards), he'll use that to implement his own system of doing the same thing, and then boom...it'll do exactly what it says it should do.

It's cool, the click-bait nature of the original post was by design. :P I just really want some players to test this before it gets released, since it's affecting saved edits directly which brings a certain degree of risk.
