We're back to normal procedures on Monday, coming up with Showdown... in the wake of the World Cup, we've got a lot going on. Showdown Episode 83 Alexandria Kirison vs. Rachel White
Mascara Avispa vs. Besos
The GOAT vs. Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard
Ruthless Nicole Alger vs. "Someone from LBB"
Blake Dynamite vs. Kyle Anderson
Todd Colton and Natasha Clover vs. The SFG (Laenara/Urani)
Kaelara Sentarl vs. Kanjirin Tonorian
Silver Hawk vs. Haruka Matsura for the Pacific Northwest Championship
The Heyward Sisters vs. Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships Starting off the night, Alexandria Kirison returns to the ring, aiming to perhaps prove that she was more than capable of winning the World Cup before withdrawing to take her shot at the World Championship... and no doubt, this match may prove to be a serious mis-match as Rachel White tries to hold out against the vicious Greek. Mascara Avispa is setting his sights on the Pacific Northwest Championship, but Besos seems more than determined to fight her way back up the ranks as well, after losing the title not long ago to Haruka Matsura, who still holds it. Expect this to be fast-paced and relentless right from the bell. The GOAT are back in action, taking on Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard of Les Beautes Blondes... and no doubt, Victor and Kellaron will be out to score a huge victory, perhaps trying to set a course for the tag titles currently held by their fathers. But don't take your eyes off of LBB... after a disappointing World Cup (outside of Angel's huge upset of Blake Dynamite), they'll be looking to get the group back on track... As will the member taking part in this match, a match that they haven't even bothered to reveal the participant in. What could Ruthless Nicole Alger be in for here? With her tag partner coming out of the World Cup with a colossal victory, RNA will surely be looking to equal her, but how do you prepare for an opponent you don't know? Kyle Anderson clearly has his eyes on bigger game than the Pacific Northwest division, and to try and prove he's ready for it, he'll take on Blake Dynamite... but does he really want to step into the ring with Blake after the frustration he faced at the World Cup? Or is this the perfect time for Kyle to score the biggest win of his career? Todd Colton is once again practically insisting on getting back in the ring, and he'll get his wish, teaming up with Natasha Clover... but across the ring will be the intimidating sight that is the SFG, as Laenara and Urani will take center stage. It's unclear whether the Black Dragon is around at this time, but if she is... Todd may want to step lightly. Kaelara Sentarl was next in line to take a shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship... but after the World Championship match this past Thursday, she stepped aside and demanded a match with the new World Champion, Kanjirin Tonorian. Kanjirin eagerly accepted, and it should be a very, very bad sign that he was so quick to accept the youngest Sentarl's challenge... Silver Hawk, set to be next after Kaelara, is granted the match for the Pacific Northwest Championship in her place... and it could be a huge opportunity, taking on Haruka Matsura and aiming to topple the resident ninja of the Malevolent Triad. No doubt Silver Hawk is looking to take full advantage of his tag partner stepping aside for his sake... After their victory last Showdown, the Heyward Sisters drew the attention of Firehawk Sentarl... and he's given the pair a shot at the tag titles, seemingly without much hesitation. It's unclear what Kileas's thoughts on the matter are, but there's no doubt that this match could be one of the most spectacular tag matches of the year, with Anari Lynn Heyward looking for redemption after falling to Leona Sterling in the World Cup. Kanjirin Tonorian "You really don't get it. You've seen what I've done to your family over the years. I've left both your brother and your sister out cold on the mats, I've left your mother a broken heap, I've taken everything that the Sentarl family believes should be theirs. Don't deny it... you carry that name, and you think you're entitled to be the one on top. But after the week you've just had? The embarrassing performance you turned in at the World Cup? Put to sleep by a rookie that barely takes this seriously... taken out of your little 'runner-up' battle royal, and then watching your big sister lie broken in the ring. You're not on my level. You're not even close. And the so-called 'threat' you used to pose when you were barely out of being a rookie yourself... you've fallen from the days of being the little heroine of AAW, the cavalry that came in to save the day.
I've got news for you, kid. You're not going to avenge her. You're going to join her. And after I'm done reminding you that you don't belong in the ring with a World Champion, there'll only be one Sentarl left for me to leave shattered and broken in my wake.
Pure Gold is going to crush anyone and everyone that gets in our way. I'm everything that Phoenix Rising should fear. The most dominant force this place has ever seen. And when Mallory and I get our shot... the opportunities we both deserve... Showdown will bow down to the blinding light that is Pure Gold."

Showdown's back up and running after the World Cup, and we've gotten our first look at the new World Champion after winning the title... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1113740572Youtube: youtu.be/77FfLoQRMbMQuick Results Alexandria Kirison def. Rachel White Mascara Avispa def. Besos The GOAT def. Les Beautes Blondes Elise Pichon def. Ruthless Nicole Alger Blake Dynamite def. Kyle Anderson Todd Colton and Natasha Clover def. The SFG Kanjirin Tonorian def. Kaelara Sentarl Silver Hawk def. Haruka Matsura to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas def. The Heyward Sisters to retain the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships Write-ups Rachel held on as best she could, but under the onslaught of Alex's striking and piledrivers, there was just no way this match would go any other way. A dominant victory for Alex to get her back on track after her failed challenge for the World Championship at Sky's the Limit. Mascara Avispa has turned it up to an entirely new level as of late, and this match showed just how well-rounded his offense has become, as he went head-to-head with Besos and ultimately came out the other side with a huge victory on the back of his new La Avispa II submission. An all-out war between two of Showdown's finest tag teams, but the GOAT once again lived up to their name, enduring the drawn-out fight to score a huge victory, Victor forcing Revon Beauregard to submit and setting the stage for a huge face-off in two weeks... The GOAT are going to challenge for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships. The LBB member turned out to be none other than Elise Pichon, who we haven't seen step into the ring in months. Having been content to manage from the background, Elise appears to have been in training for an in-ring return, and it was a successful one as she brought down RNA after countering the shooter's mount attempts to score a pinfall victory. Kyle Anderson may not have come away with the victory, but he more than showed that he can hold his own against one of Showdown's top talents in Blake Dynamite, with this one winding up as an all-out war before Blake finally landed a crushing Double Lotation to score the victory. The SFG has definitely lost a step as of late, with the Black Dragon struggling against Yuki Maeda, Laenara's own defeat to Todd Colton, and now this disastrous showing... how long can this go on? Laenara's frustration no doubt is beginning to mount, as she tries to get herself back towards World Championship contention... Kanjirin Tonorian came into this match insisting that Kaelara Sentarl is not on his level, nor that of the World Championship. And Kaelara spent as much time in this match as she could aiming to prove otherwise. There really can be no doubt... although she lost in the end, she more than showed that her tenacity can keep her in a match well past the point that most would've given in... and Kanjirin may find his goal of wiping out the Sentarl family harder than expected thanks to that. Silver Hawk has made it to the top of the division. After being given this opportunity thanks to Kaelara Sentarl stepping aside, he took full advantage and took the fight to Haruka Matsura, finally knocking her off with a flying pin that we've seen win so many matches for him in the past. Silver Hawk finally gets the shot he's been after, and he's finally Pacific Northwest Champion. The Heyward Sisters came perhaps closer than anyone else so far to beating the icons of Phoenix Rising, Firehawk and Kileas... but a wild brawl finally resulted in Firehawk landing a crushing Brainbuster, and Kileas just barely cutting off the save, keeping the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships firmly around their waists. But with Firehawk so eager to set up more defenses, how long can they stay on top? With their next match being against their own sons.... could the GOAT have what it takes to bring down their legendary fathers?

It's AFW time tomorrow night, with an AFW Tag Team Championship match set... another team steps up to try and knock off the dominant Nathan Haines and Ryan Donovan. American Frontier Wrestling Episode 10 Emma Travers vs. Allison Avery
Diosa Syringa vs. Jackson Shaw
Carmen Latour vs. Cassandra Marshall
Sasha Majewska (Knocked) vs. Terra Marshall
Lexi Dawson and Nana Yoon vs. Wanted: DOA
Sung Moon vs. Maya Minh Sai
Johnny Rocket vs. Ian Robinson
Manny Ramos vs. Mason Hayes
Dominic Stanton and Laura Tate vs. Nathan Haines and Ryan Donovan for the AFW Tag Team Championships Kicking off the night, the first match of the night for the Foundation's members, as Emma Travers takes on Allison Avery in a battle of technique vs. pure brawling ability. Emma's proven that she's improved tremendously over the past few years, but is it enough to bring down the Lariat Queen of Little Rock? Diosa Syringa will find herself in action in a very, very tough matchup... taking on Jackson Shaw as she looks to perhaps elevate herself in singles competition along with her exemplary tag work. This won't be easy: Jackson's easily one of AFW's toughest, and she'll have a ton of work ahead of her. Carmen Latour has proven herself against quite a few of AFW's top talents, but she's stepping into the ring with Cassandra Marshall this time, and no doubt it's going to be a very tough match for both sides as they're forced to adapt to their opponent's style. Can Cassandra keep pace with the Cajun Spitfire? We've got ourselves a guest in AFW this month: coming in from GZPW (run by Knocked), Sasha Majewska will step into the AFW ring against Terra Marshall... Nobody seems to know what to expect between these two, but AFW's higher ups are hoping this turns out to be one hell of a fight. It's the AFW tag debut for one of the Academy's two greatest graduates, as Lexi Dawson (still the reigning Academy Champion!) and Nana Yoon square off with Wanted: DOA. The young team will be tested against the much more experienced veteran team... Sung Moon will close out the Foundation's presence on this card, as she takes on Maya Minh Sai, attempting to puncture a hole in Maya's constantly-growing ego. Maya's made it no secret that she believes she's AFW's #1 talent... but Sung Moon could very easily remind Maya that she's still got plenty of competition. Originally slated to be Riley Montgomery, she's being kept off of this show as a precaution after being knocked out by Carmen Latour at last month's show. Instead, Ian Robinson will take her place and take on Johnny Rocket, a major clash of styles that will see Ian's raw power trying to keep Rocket's speed and agility locked down. Another speed vs. power matchup sees Manny Ramos set to take on Mason Hayes... the big man looking for a big win over a very tough opponent. But it may take everything Mason's got to shut down Manny's skill and agility... he's definitely been on a run lately. Finally, capping off the night, the AFW Tag Team Championships are on the line, as Dominic Stanton and Ryan Donovan defend their titles (and status as only AFW Tag Team Champions to date) against one of the very few teams they've yet to face off against: Dominic Stanton and Laura Tate. No doubt this one's going to be an all-out brawl to the finish as both teams look to take the titles home...

Another night comes and goes for the crew down in Houston. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1116768743Youtube: youtu.be/xv5Z9uexBnEQuick Results Emma Travers def. Allison Avery Jackson Shaw def. Diosa Syringa Cassandra Marshall def. Carmen Latour Terra Marshall def. Sasha Majewska Wanted: DOA def. Lexi Dawson and Nana Yoon Sung Moon def. Maya Minh Sai Johnny Rocket def. Ian Robinson Manny Ramos def. Mason Hayes Nathan Haines and Ryan Donovan def. Dominic Stanton and Laura Tate to retain the AFW Tag Team Championships Bonus: Tina Remington def. Kasey Ryder Write-ups An exemplary showing from Emma tonight, proving just how far she's come from her early days. She met Allison Avery face-to-face and came out the other side, landing a huge Exploder for the win, a very impressive showing in the opener tonight. Emma's usual partner didn't quite get anything going here, and wound up crushed by Jackson Shaw, who continues to be one of the most dominant forces on the AFW roster. There's little more to be said... with this showing, it's entirely likely he challenges Lance Marshall next month for the Spirit of Texas Championship. Carmen Latour did her best to keep up her usual blistering pace against Cassandra Marshall, but wound up stunned when Cassandra turned up the heat... and finished her off with a Sky Twister, reminding everyone in attendance that Cassandra's no slouch in the skies herself. Terra Marshall went face-to-face with the guest tonight, turning this match into an all-out brawl, only brought to an end when Terra landed a huge chokeslam in the middle of the ring to score the victory. A wild tag team brawl that saw Wanted: DOA bring their best... and Lexi and Nana were having some serious trouble as a duo, perhaps nervous on the bigger stage compared to the Academy. The veterans ultimately got the win, forcing Lexi to tap just inches from her partner. The Cornerstone once again needs to figure things out, as she just could not get her offense going against Sung Moon, who absolutely leveled the arrogant young star with a Booker-style kick. The Houston native was firing on all cylinders, and could be another possibility to challenge Lance next month... Speed beat power tonight, in a lot of ways. Johnny Rocket started things off on that end, with a wild fight against Ian Robinson culminating in a huge Falcon Arrow in the center of the ring, giving the hometown hero a big win. Rocket's still one of the best on the AFW roster, without a doubt. And while Ian held up well against Rocket, Mason Hayes had to dip heavily into underhanded tactics just to stay in the fight with Manny Ramos, who absolutely ran circles around the big man before forcing him to tap out to a brutal flying submission. Manny's looking better than ever as of late... could he be making a push? Stanton and Tate did everything they could, but once again, it'd be Ryan Donovan that scored the big win, snatching victory out of nowhere, catching Dominic in an armbar that managed to keep the AFW Tag Team Championships firmly around the inaugural champs. Can anyone stop these two? Once again, Tina Remington plays the bonus matchup, and once again, we're reminded of who she really is. Kasey Ryder, though, held up extremely well against her, only submitting after a wild twenty minutes that saw Tina having to push for every last bit of her arsenal.

Before we jump into tomorrow's Proving Ground card, we get a couple of updates from behind-the-scenes in Phoenix Rising... The biggest question over the past week and a half has been the condition of now-former World Champion Eri Sentarl, after the World Championship match on the World Cup finals night ended early thanks to an injury. We can confirm that the injury was serious enough to put Eri in the hospital but is not expected to have any lasting damage once she's recovered. That said, she will be out of action at least until after this year's Grand Ascension, if not through the end of the year. Regarding Kanjirin, this is being seen for what it was: a freak accident, and no blame is being directed towards anyone for the occurrence.
While it has been implied that he also injured Shiana Sentarl and Yuki Maeda, their "injuries" are for storyline purposes only, though in Shiana's case, it has partly stood to help the veteran recover from some nagging old injuries that have slowed her down over the past year or so. In short: Yeah, it's taken a bit to mention this, but I will confirm it 100% right here: Eri Sentarl is currently Inactive. She'll become available for booking again when she makes her next appearance on Phoenix Rising which will be no sooner than November, if not 2022. Shiana and Yuki are also technically inactive but I'll consider that a looser deal: Shiana's out for mostly-legitimate reasons but if someone wanted to book Yuki on a show I'd tell 'em "absolutely, go ahead" 'cause she ain't really hurt. Moving on. Proving Ground Episode 84 Katherine White vs. SATOMI
Rey de la Carne vs. Leon Jaskulski
The Wright Stuff vs. The Pride of Scotland (Nick/Corsaria)
Jessika Boom vs. Mercedes Ortega
Colt Whitfield vs. Ziggy Rockefeller
Felice Santana and Riccardo De Luca vs. The Golden Ambush
Leona Sterling vs. Reina del Tigre
Akira Ryusaki vs. Harley Brooks
The Excellent Blades vs. The Gallego Twins Starting off this week, SATOMI looks to get back to winning as she takes on Katherine White, with the dangerous Tachibana aiming to start winning again ahead of the Grand Ascension. She's looking to earn one of the two Inspire division spots for that tournament... but she's got to do better than she did in last episode's three-way match. Rey de la Carne has been one of Proving Ground's top talents since his arrival, and he's looking towards the Ascension as a potential Top Prospect entrant. At the same time, he could wind up shooting for the Top Prospect Championship instead... or even another run at the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships. Standing in his way this week, though, is Leon Jaskulski... fresh off of a very impressive win over Colt Whitfield. This one could get nasty. The Wright Stuff are looking for some serious tag team credibility, and there might not be any better way to get it than by taking on the Pride of Scotland, who have been a seriously dangerous force since they united as a trio. It'll be Nick MacLeod and La Corsaria working as the duo this week, and it'll surely be quite the brawl. Jessika Boom is coming off of one hell of a win, taking down both Aria Kintelas and SATOMI in a three-way contest last Proving Ground... and she's absolutely looking for one of two things: a shot at the Inspire Championship, or a spot in the Grand Ascension. But Mercedes Ortega has been absolutely electric as of late, and this won't be easy for Boom... Ziggy Rockefeller and Colt Whitfield are both needing to get themselves back on track with a win, but only one man can walk away from this one victorious. Ziggy's been a wild presence on Proving Ground from day one... while Colt's presence has been quieter, and more successful as a team with Harley Brooks. Still, this one's tough to call outright... It's the fastest team in Phoenix Rising, stepping up to take on two-thirds of the reigning Trios Champions, a week and a half before the Ambush defend said titles on Evergreen against eMo. It's taken a bit to consider Felice as a potential option for the Grand Ascension... but if her team can win this, she might find herself one step closer to a huge opportunity, not to mention Riccardo being a huge threat in a bracket like that... Leona Sterling is after nothing but the best. While she'd love a shot at the Inspire Championship, held by Gabriela Gallego, she may not be content with that... especially considering the potential of Candace Monroe becoming World Champion. This could be the start of something big... but she's got to get through a former champion in Reina del Tigre, and that will not be an easy task. Harley Brooks has been beyond impressive as of late, and if he can get past Akira Ryusaki on this show, it's only going to help him rise even further. The problem is winning this match with Akira... he has been one of Proving Ground's best when pressed, and Harley could very easily make him step up his game. Capping off the night, a match that could very well signal just what the Blades are after: a win over the Gallegos could set a whole lot in motion for one of Proving Ground's greatest duos. Pinning Gabriela could set the winner up with an Inspire Championship match... the Blades could be in line to challenge the Yoshida Twins... and the past few years of frustration could be wiped away in a hurry if all goes well. It's just a matter of beating the Gallegos... who are definitely not to be overlooked, not by any stretch of the imagination. Finally... there may be a "scheduled" extra match taking place on this show... keep your eyes open after the main event, because we may be in for one explosive debut.

Another Proving Ground wrapped. Too early to say who might get the Ascension nod, but we might have some championship contenders making themselves known. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1120756971Youtube: youtu.be/EchjBWt1AXoQuick Results Katherine White def. SATOMI Leon Jaskulski def. Rey de la Carne The Wright Stuff def. The Pride of Scotland Mercedes Ortega def. Jessika Boom Colt Whitfield def. Ziggy Rockefeller The Golden Ambush def. Felice Santana and Riccardo De Luca Leona Sterling def. Reina del Tigre Harley Brooks def. Akira Ryusaki The Gallego Twins def. The Excellent Blades Bonus: Ashton Crowe def. Robbie Roberts (like you'd expect any different) also chico won in a dark match after that yay Write-ups The night opened up with what most would call a stunning upset, but Katherine would call inevitable. Either way, she gets a huge win over SATOMI, who's clearly having trouble getting her feet back under her as of late... with a rough showing in the Sakura Pro Grand Prix, what will it take to get her back on track? Leon Jaskulski is very quickly making a name for himself, turning up the pressure on his opponents... and tonight, he was firmly in charge in taking down Rey de la Carne, perhaps making his case to try and be the man to challenge Sanya Markov. But can he keep up this momentum? A wild, chaotic tag match that seemed destined to end either in a time-limit draw or someone finally finding a submission... but no, it was Amber throwing Corsaria into a rolling Stunner that finished this one, laying out the Scottish pirate luchadora and ending this match in somewhat violent fashion. Jessika's momentum was no match for Mercedes Ortega's. Mercedes has been downright electric lately, and she may not be content with simply taking a shot at the Inspire Championship... right now, if she can keep up her run, she may very well find herself entering the Grand Ascension. Bad match was bad. Colt's getting a re-work. Fuck this shit. Once again, a tag match went absolutely wild, and nobody seemed to have the upper hand for sure clear up until the end, when Tigress finally caught Riccardo in her modified Figure Four leglock, scoring the victory for the Ambush after a marathon. Could the Ambush be looking at challenging the Yoshida Twins? Leona Sterling has her eyes on nothing but gold right now. This might've been the first step towards claiming it on her home show... two nights before she's set to challenge for Butterfloor's inaugural championship. It cannot be doubted that Leona just might be the top talent in the Inspire division... but can she earn her way to a match with Gabriela? Has she already done it? Harley Brooks might just be the total package of the "rookies" on Proving Ground. Where Leon's still a raw, unrefined talent and Colt Whitfield is... less than stellar in most every way, Harley's proven himself as a reliable, dangerous powerhouse, and he absolutely showed it against Akira Ryusaki, crushing him with a powerbomb and coming away with a very impressive win. The night closed out with the longest-tenured team on Proving Ground clashing with relative "newcomers" the Gallego Twins... though it's getting hard to call them that with the level of success they've had. Gabriela didn't let either member of the Blades score an Inspire Championship match tonight, and Rafael put it away with a Frog Splash to give the Gallegos another big win. Simple, straight to the point... the debuting Ashton Crowe, a member of the Evergreen roster joining up with Veronika Armstrong, took on ENHANCE talent Robbie Roberts... and he didn't give away much, though did show off a truly vicious powerbomb to score the win. We got a bit more in the extra match after that, but that's not part of the VoD, so you'll just have to imagine the rest of his arsenal and catch Evergreen next Thursday for more.

We've got a big, big show coming up with Showdown this week, with a good handful of matches set to be absolutely huge and could shake things up in a big way. Phoenix Rising Showdown Episode 84 Besos vs. Ruthless Nicole Alger
The Malevolent Triad (Haruka/Oscuro) vs. The Muscle Machines
Mallory Spaulding vs. Markos Andreas
Lightning Cyclones (Layla/Relampaga) vs. The Dynawasps
Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Revon Beauregard
Laenara Kintelas vs. The Black Dragon
Natasha Clover and Todd Colton vs. Angel Leblanc and Celine Chevalier
Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Kanjirin Tonorian
Selisha vs. Silver Hawk for the Pacific Northwest Championship
The GOAT vs. Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships Starting off the night, fresh off a dominant victory over in Butterfloor, RNA comes back to Showdown to face off with Besos. Alger can't lose focus here... Besos remains one of the top names in the Pacific Northwest division, and is easily one of the most well-rounded talents around. A late addition to the card (because I'm really good at forgetting things I had planned!) But we're finally getting the Muscle Machines back in the ring... taking on former Pacific Northwest Champion, Haruka Matsura, and the always-dangerous Fenix Oscuro. With the third member of the Triad seeking to bring the PNW title back into the team's fold, it'll be on Haruka and Oscuro to handle the powerhouse duo. Mallory Spaulding has made a major decision: the Pacific Northwest Championship should belong to Pure Gold. With Markos Andreas being the next in line to challenge, Mallory has set her sights on him... and if she manages to beat him, there's no doubt she steps up to take his place, and that could be disastrous for whoever holds the title... A match that's absolutely guaranteed to be electric. Layla Al-Amin and La Relampaga, the Lightning Cyclones, square off with former tag team champions the Dynawasps... these two teams will keep up an absolutely blistering pace, beyond the shadow of a doubt. Don't blink. Anari Lynn Heyward is looking to fight her way back up the rankings in the Pacific Northwest division, seeking to get another shot at the title that's been mostly identified with her as of late, even more than Natasha Clover. But Les Beautes Blondes are always looking to bring gold into their ranks as well... and Revon Beauregard could be the one that makes it happen. All hell breaks loose between members of the SFG... a match that we haven't seen since Laenara defeated Dragon for the World Championship last year. Frustration has mounted throughout the group over the past few months... it could be boiling over in this match, but standing between them will be a familiar face, stepping in as referee: none other than Urani Whitemist herself. Todd and Natasha have been a surprising force in the tag division lately, looking to push their way up towards a shot at the titles, but Angel Leblanc is here looking to shut them down. Alongside Celine Chevalier, the LBB duo will try to stop the momentum of Phoenix Rising's ultimate power couple... Queen Anne has declared war on the World Champion. There's not much more to be said: Listalva Anne Heyward is here to take her turn at facing down Kanjirin Tonorian... but can she hold out against the raw power of the champ? Or will he make good on his threats once again? Silver Hawk's first defense of the Pacific Northwest Championship is going to be a tough one: Selisha is easily one of the single most dangerous members of the division, and she could bring Silver Hawk's fresh reign to an early end if she's at her best. At the same time, though, Silver Hawk has been on one hell of a run lately... could he make the title his own? Closing out the night, the main event: for only the second time ever, the GOAT will square off with their fathers, this time with the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships on the line. Victor and Kellaron came up short last time these two teams met... but could this be the night they finally step up and announce their arrival as the best in the world? Listalva Anne Heyward"I've been dwellin' on what happened at the World Cup for a few weeks now. Seein' someone I love brought down and laid up in a hospital bed, with absolutely no remorse bein' shown from the man who did it. Then I have to stand by and watch one of my close friends fightin' with everything she's got to avenge her sister. I ain't gonna deny that Kae deserved that first shot at knockin' you down, big guy... she's defendin' family. Me? It's a different kind of personal.
See, Kae's still part of the Pacific Northwest division and you wanted to tell her that she didn't fuckin' belong in the ring with you. So lemme just remind you of a certain fact: I'm part of the World Championship division, and I know damn well I can handle you. I'm going to make sure you never forget that, because you're facin' me this week, and I'm gonna put the brand-new World Champion through his fuckin' paces. Who knows: maybe I'll beat yer ass, challenge ya' for that shiny title you're so proud of, and take your spot at the Grand Ascension... fight Candace myself and send you packin' for home.
Don't you ever fuckin' forget this, though: you crossed the line at the World Cup. Bad enough you ended her reign as champion. Puttin' Eri on the shelf... well, you better watch your step. I'm coming for you, Kanjirin Tonorian. Queen Anne doesn't forget." Kanjirin Tonorian"So here we are. First the little sister steps up and thinks she's got what it takes against the best in the world. Now her girlfriend wants a piece. Call yourself whatever the hell you want, but Pure Gold's proven over the past few months that no 'Queen' measures up. You can't beat me, you can't take this title, and you sure as hell won't be going anywhere near the Grand Ascension... hell, you came up short against those two washed-up 'veterans' last time out, so what makes you think you can suddenly come after the World Champion, huh?
Do yourself a favor. Lay your ass down in the ring on Monday and I'll save you a whole lot of pain and frustration. Because if you try to fight... well, shit, maybe you ought to save a bed next to poor little Eri, because I'll damn well send you to see her." The GOAT"Few months ago... we got our first shot at the team that's now the current Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions. It was the match with us that earned 'em the shot at the Dynawasps to begin with, set them on the path they're walking right now." Kellaron was the first to speak, and he's not quite as animated as usual for him. "We came up short when it mattered the most. I know we could've done the same thing they did, but we ran into a couple of living legends. We should know that by now. Our own fathers, both of them doing this for longer than either of us have been alive. But now we're getting another shot... this time, not for a contender spot, not for a chance to face the champs... no, we're going straight for the titles. Straight for the biggest prize imaginable. All we've got to do..."
"All we've got to do is finally prove we've surpassed them." Victor stepped forward... Kellaron backed off, though kept an eye on Victor the whole way. "Last time our teams met up, there was that underlying wonder... the first time ever, fathers against sons, the GOAT against the Icons. And at that point we ran into a problem: fact is, you two are a whole hell of a lot tougher than Pure Gold ever was. Doesn't matter that Kanjirin's the new World Champion. Our match with you... was completely different from when we beat Pure Gold back in Proving Ground. But I figured out just what went wrong. Why we couldn't beat you, why we couldn't push past this when we've conquered every other obstacle that the world's ever thrown in our way."
Victor was slowly getting more heated, but Kellaron dared not interrupt now... his partner was clearly starting to find his voice in the moment. "It all comes down to how we fought the last time out. I avoided my father. Avoided staying in the ring with him as much as I could. Tried to avoid the entire idea of sharing the ring with him, because it's been a long, long time... Not since the early days of Phoenix Rising, long before the idea of even Pure Gold came into being. And that... that was a mistake. I let you get into my head. And for WHAT?" The last word was shouted... probably the loudest Victor's ever spoken on camera.
"Why the hell should I be worried about you? I'm the man that stared you down THREE YEARS AGO, my own FATHER, and I put you down with the move that later became PATRICIDE. So why the fuck should I care about facing you again after all this time? Why the fuck would I ever be worried about staring down family yet again in that ring? I'll tell you this... when we go to the ring on Monday night, I will be the one taking the lead. I will be the one starting in that ring, and you had DAMN well better follow suit. This is the day I remind the world what I'm willing to do to ensure that Kellaron and I go down as the greatest tag team that's ever lived. And what am I willing to do? Anything, and everything. And if that means I have to repeat what I did to you over three years ago... then I'll damn well do it. No more hesitation. No more watching everyone else step up and fall. No more watching you hold the spot that belongs to us.
We're the fucking GOAT. Monday night, you're gonna learn why." The SFG"You've completely lost your edge! How the hell are we supposed to be the most dangerous force around when you can't get it done anymore?" Laenara's voice was the first one to speak up... and she's answered almost immediately by the Dragon.
"And what about you, Laenara? The first sign of struggle you found as champion and you gave in. Not even a whimper!"
"I WAS NEVER GIVEN THE CHANCE!" Lae yelled back, temper clearly flaring up... the loss of the World Championship still a sore spot. "How the FUCK am I supposed to get back to the top when I'm constantly shoved aside for people long past their prime, including YOU?"
"You'd better choose your next words very, very carefully..." The two drew face-to-face, tension only getting worse by the moment, seeming like a fight would break out at any second...
"ENOUGH!" The deep voice bellowed out and instantly silenced the other two, as Urani Whitemist practically pushed herself between them. "I will not have you two arguing like children over this! You remember who we are, what we've accomplished, and what we can still accomplish if you will just SHUT UP AND DO IT!" A glare from the Titan between her two partners said it all... but she wasn't done. "The only way to settle this and make sure everyone gets back on the same page is in the ring, clearly... you two still have something lingering from the last time you faced each other. You're taking care of this. And just to make sure the two of you settle it properly..." Urani took a deep breath, then continued. "There's only one person that can be trusted to keep you two in line. So I'll be in the ring with you. As the referee."
"And what's gonna stop you from playing favorites..." Dragon murmured, shaking her head.
"If you can't trust me to be impartial between you two after all this time, then clearly we've gone wrong somewhere." Urani loomed over both of them, letting out a breath. "This is the last we speak of these arguments. You settle it in the ring on Monday. Then we return to being the SFG and get back to where we belong. Got it?"

One hell of a night, wild and unpredictable, and a bit longer than usual. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1127771052Youtube: youtu.be/keR8ovtcjn4Quick Results Besos def. Ruthless Nicole Alger The Malevolent Triad def. The Muscle Machines Markos Andreas def. Mallory Spaulding Dynasty Cyclones (Esi and Layla) def. The Dynawasps Anari Lynn Heyward def. Revon Beauregard The Black Dragon def. Laenara Kintelas Todd Colton and Natasha Clover def. Les Beautes Blondes Kanjirin Tonorian def. Listalva Anne Heyward Selisha def. Silver Hawk to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion The GOAT def. Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas to become the NEW Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions Write-ups Besos once again proves that she's just one of the best there is in the division, going hard against RNA and working her usual gameplan to perfection. As RNA attempted to get her usual dangerous matwork into play, Besos countered, snapping into a rana pin to pick up the victory. The Triad once again reminded everyone just how dangerous they are, no matter which two members step into the ring... with Oscuro and Haruka working just as efficiently as any other Triad team, the Muscle Machines were their usual dysfunctional selves and couldn't keep pace, with Haruka locking in her Cobra submission to finish the job. Markos Andreas had absolutely no intention of giving up his spot to Mallory Spaulding, and stood his ground the whole night... which may prove to be a big mistake, in the end. A somewhat excessive amount of Exploder suplexes gave him the win, but what's that going to cost him? With La Relampaga taken out of action temporarily after last week's Pan-African appearance, Layla Al-Amin needed a backup partner. Luckily, she has plenty of options, but against the Dynawasps, she got Esi Dogboe, who proved a huge asset against the former tag champs, ultimately hitting a Black Star Cannonball to pick up the victory. Anari Lynn Heyward calls herself the "Premiere Powerhouse" these days, and it's hard to deny she's lived up to it, with a tremendous showing against Revon Beauregard. She dominated the early part of this one, though Revon fought back, and while Anari eventually came back to win with a huge splash, this was a highlight of the night. These two had a lot of problems to work out in the ring... and whether they worked through them or not, one thing that they managed to solve was Dragon pulling herself even with Laenara in their series, tying them at 2-2 against each other. Urani called this one right down the middle, so it's unlikely either woman has any trouble with her... but the rift between Lae and Dragon could be worse, or this could have solved it. We just... don't know. The story of this match was Angel Leblanc forced to fight alone after Celine Chevalier was knocked out cold by a Destroyer from Todd. She put up the best fight she could given the circumstances, but Todd wrapped it up after a hard fight. It's not clear if Celine will miss any time from this one. Kanjirin Tonorian didn't hold anything back here. This was nothing like his match with Kaelara... he was focused, motivated, and Listalva couldn't get anything going against him, ultimately getting wiped out by the same brutal spear that's put Shiana Sentarl and Yuki Maeda on the shelf weeks ago. Will Queen Anne be forced to join them in inactivity? A wild, insane match between two of the best in the division, fighting for the Pacific Northwest Championship. Silver Hawk threw all he had at Selisha, but the dangerous Naga Queen was a step ahead... throwing out wild dives but ultimately falling back to her most devastating move: the Fangs of Fascination ultimately getting the submission victory and returning the gold to the Triad. A truly spectacular main event: maybe the best of the year, as the GOAT got their second shot against their legendary fathers, this time with the titles on the line. Victor demanded his shot at his father... and Kileas obliged, going out of his way to take on Victor whenever possible, as the two teams pushed each other to the absolute limit. But unlike the first time these two teams met, Victor wasn't going to leave without a victory... and a victory he got, leveling his father with a Spear to pick up the victory, and became the new Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions, making them the second team to have held both sets of tag titles in Phoenix Rising... and the first to have won the Proving Ground titles before the Showdown. The GOAT"That's what we've been after! That's the moment we've been looking for from the moment we arrived on Showdown!" Victor held up his half of the tag titles, newly-won, while Kellaron sat nearby in the background, staring down at his own belt. "I said I'd go to any length I had to, trying to bring these titles home... and what you saw out there wasn't even everything I had left in the tank. Both of us had so much more left to go, but don't you even TRY and tell me that the 'Icons' didn't do the same in return... they didn't half-ass a damn thing. Tonight... we were just the better team in every way. And here we are... finally on top, where we belong. We've surpassed them... proven that we're the best team in all of Phoenix Rising, beyond any doubt."
"And we're not stopping here." Kellaron finally pulled himself to his feet, throwing the title over his shoulder in one motion. "We may not end up defending these titles for a little while... we need some time to see what the field looks like. Need to get through the Grand Ascension. But you better believe... when those first challengers step up, we're going to prove we're fighting champions. And I know... deep down, I know damn well who's likely to step up first. So let me just be as blunt as I possibly can: Kanjirin. Mallory. I know you two want the run-back that you never got back in Proving Ground. You want to prove you're better than us, even though we proved, beyond any doubt, that you're not. But things have changed a bit... y'know, you're World Champion, Mallory's hunting for the Pacific Northwest Championship, shame she couldn't stop Markos tonight... here's the deal. You keep up your run, maybe you wind up the first in line. But right now... the world's wide open. And we're gonna spend at least the rest of this year proving beyond the shadow of a doubt that we didn't choose our name without living up to it. Keep your eyes open... we're about to go on the greatest run you've ever seen."

You better believe Evergreen is rolling along on schedule tomorrow night... Evergreen Federation Wrestling Episode 48 Iris Coleman vs. Sabrina
Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito vs. The Big Boys
Ashton Crowe vs. KyO
Argent vs. Julian Shepard
El Verde vs. The Sheridan Brothers
Freya O'Malley vs. Kroll
Shogun vs. Kantar
eMo (Eddy/Sookie/Penelope) vs. The Golden Ambush for the Phoenix Rising Trios Championships
Veronika Armstrong vs. Jennifer Hunter for the Evergreen Championship Kicking off the night, Iris Coleman and Sabrina look to get themselves on a hot streak, perhaps with their sights set on the Evergreen Championship... or a Grand Ascension spot. The two Evergreen slots in the tournament will be fiercely contested, without a doubt, and a win could do wonders for their chances here. The usual OMM tag team will take center stage as a duo once again, and what a match they're in for: taking on the Big Boys, Skidmark and Concrete Pete. Skidmark could practically cement himself as an Ascension participant if the Big Boys get the win here, as he's been on a major hot streak for most of 2021... but no doubt Rebecca and Sayaka will be out to topple the hefty tag team and finally work their way into the upper echelons of the division. It's the official Evergreen debut of Ashton Crowe, the latest member to arrive alongside Oakland's Most Metal. We already got a look at Crowe a while back in a bonus showing, but now he comes to settle in his new home fed, taking on KyO in his first Evergreen match... a real test, without a doubt. Julian Shepard is staring down a major uphill battle. Tasked with facing one-half of the reigning Evergreen Tag Team Champions, can he get himself back on track and show another flash of the former Evergreen Champion? Or will Argent continue his own hot streak and wipe Julian out? The Sheridan Brothers came up well short of a victory last month, failing to earn a shot at the Trios Championships even with hated Blackrose talent Rex Burning on their side. They're back to their usual tag team, taking on perhaps the most popular team that isn't the Big Boys in the fed... as El Verde aim their sights higher than the dysfunctional brothers. Freya O'Malley has been the giant-slayer of the Phoenix Rising organization for months now, scoring a colossal victory over Tasharun last month... but now, she steps into the ring with another "officially" debuting talent, as Kroll joins the Evergreen roster alongside her duties in Valkyrie Pro. Can Freya bring down the Roaring Devil and add to her growing legend? Shogun's back for more... and it would seem that Evergreen is more than willing to keep booking the Sakura Pro legend, as there are plenty of fantastic potential matchups to be had. This month, though... it'll be Kantar, perhaps one of the most iconic names in Evergreen's history. With Shogun already showing tremendous power and dominance over Logan Axelrod last month, can Kantar do any better against this overwhelming force? The Trios Championships have cycled back to Evergreen for the first time since the inaugural crowning... and they'll be defended under Evergreen rules for the first time ever, as the Golden Ambush seek to remain as the top trio in the organization. eMo, however, have proven time and again just how dangerous they can be... and with both Eddy Introspect and Strawberry Sookie in the ring, the Ambush will have to watch their backs... or their reign as champions could end at any moment. Veronika Armstrong looks ready to reclaim her spot at the top of Evergreen. The original, inaugural Evergreen Champion has earned her shot at the title, looking to become the first-ever two-time champion in Evergreen's history... but Jennifer Hunter overcame one of the harshest three-way matches perhaps ever assembled, outlasting Tasharun and Elly Blackwood to come away with the championship at Sky's the Limit. Now here, in her first defense, can she bring down the heart and soul of Evergreen itself?

A wild night of violence and such from Evergreen. Just as expected. Always. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1130773655Youtube: youtu.be/r59WWwMxFa4Quick Results Sabrina def. Iris Coleman Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito def. The Big Boys KyO def. Ashton Crowe Argent def. Julian Shepard Ash Defiant def. Cinderine Celeste (unannounced match) El Verde def. The Sheridan Brothers Freya O'Malley def. Kroll Shogun def. Kantar The Golden Ambush def. eMo to retain the Trios Championships Jennifer Hunter def. Veronika Armstrong to retain the Evergreen Championship
Bonus: Fox and Wolfe def. Crimson Romance Write-ups Sabrina once again reminded everyone just how dangerous she can be, holding her own with the bigger and stronger Iris Coleman, and ultimately laid her out, knocking Iris out cold with a facebuster. Sabrina seems determined to make a name for herself... and a win like this could certainly get her closer to the top. This match was mostly a showcase for Sayaka Saito. While the Big Boys certainly had their moments, and Rebecca Andrews got her shots in, Sayaka was electric here, showing a tremendous skill and ultimately cranking Skidmark back in her signature Full Nelson Clutch to score the victory. Ashton Crowe's debut may not have ended in victory, but it was a wild brawl to the finish against KyO, who finally got the upper hand after an insane sequence of offense between the two. A truly solid match that was way better than the length would suggest. As one-half of the Evergreen Tag Team Champions, Argent stepped into the ring to remind everyone that he's become one of Evergreen's top powerhouses, and absolutely wiped the floor with Julian Shepard. It wasn't scheduled on the card, but it was planned to be at some point. Cinderine Celeste got to show off her brand of violence, regardless, and although Ash Defiant ultimately planted her with a Defiant Bomb, this was a highlight of the night. Celeste will probably get another showing in Evergreen just so she can have everything set up properly. Verde brought the violence, and Evergringo (amazingly) brought the legit offense, polishing off this match in spectacular fashion with a flying DDT that absolutely crushed Zack Sheridan. Freya O'Malley was on fire tonight, absolutely blowing straight through Kroll without a hint of slowing down. She's beaten two of the demon-squad now... with wins over Tasharun and now Kroll, Kantar has to be waiting in the wings to face her next. Speaking of Kantar, well... he ran into Shogun, who was on a completely different level tonight. He was good against Logan Axelrod last month... he was truly dominant over Kantar here, landing a Will of One, but it'd be a crushing lariat that sealed the win for the veteran here. Operating on elimination rules might have been a mistake, as Eddy Introspect wound up in a brutal three-on-one situation that was simply dragged out by the reigning champions. The Ambush retain, and now set sights on AFW... where the Marshalls might be the ones in line to take them on. Do not overlook Jennifer Hunter as Evergreen Champion. Her first defense of the title following her incredible victory at Sky's the Limit resulted in her taking the fight to Veronika Armstrong in a rough, vicious brawl that came to a sudden end when Jennifer cinched in her brutal Stealth Viper, forcing an instant tapout and putting Veronika out. With the night having gone by so quickly, we got one more match, bringing Fox and Wolfe back into the Evergreen ring for the first time in a while, taking on Crimson Romance. This was a serious highlight of the night, an incredible match to close out the night as Fox and Wolfe picked up the win.

Proving Ground arrives tomorrow night, continuing the long process of determining just who will be in the Grand Ascension, which is now only slightly more than a month away. Proving Ground Episode 85 Akira Ryusaki vs. Ziggy Rockefeller
Riccardo De Luca and Felice Santana vs. White Hot
Aria Kintelas vs. Christina Wagner
Arthur Wright vs. Harley Brooks
Fresh Suzuki vs. Jessika Boom
The Pride of Scotland (Nick/Corsaria) vs. Adrenaline Rush
Anna Bryant vs. Reina del Tigre
Rafael Gallego vs. Leon Jaskulski
The Excellent Blades vs. The Tachibanas (SATOMI/HAYATO)
Mercedes Ortega vs. Katherine White Starting off the night will be two men looking to get themselves back on track, as they seek one of the two Top Prospect slots in the Grand Ascension. Akira Ryusaki has proven he's more than capable of handling himself against nearly any opponent, but Ziggy Rockefeller is a serious powerhouse and could make this one very interesting. The fastest team around squares off with White Hot, as the younger team hopes to push their way back towards the top of the tag rankings once again. But against Riccardo and Felice, who have been consistently electric in every match they've had as a team, could it just be a matter of time before this duo winds up challenging for the titles? Aria Kintelas finds herself stepping into the ring with another powerhouse, as Christina Wagner seems intent on making an impact in the Inspire division after being fairly quiet for some time. Can Aria overcome the Academy co-founder and graduate? Arthur Wright and Harley Brooks have both been tremendously impressive as of late, with Harley being perhaps a surprising front-runner for the Ascension... but Arthur's recent history has made him look like one of the most dangerous men on Proving Ground. This one's going to be explosive. Something of a late addition to the card, but Fresh Suzuki will be in action this week as she takes on Jessika Boom, as Jessika attempts to continue her hot streak. Still, she's going up against an iconic name on Proving Ground... does Jessika have what it takes against Fresh? Leona Sterling would appear to have the night off, though it's likely she'll find herself at ringside anyway for this one, as Nick MacLeod and La Corsaria step up against Adrenaline Rush. Both teams no doubt want to raise their stock in the tag division... as there's sure to be a title defense for the Yoshida Twins within the next month. Anna Bryant is trying to pull herself out of a bit of a slump since losing to Gabriela Gallego at Sky's the Limit... and here against Reina del Tigre, she'll have a chance to step up against a former Inspire Champion and current Trios Champion. Anna's aiming to fight her way into the Ascension, but this is almost a must-win situation for the young former champion... Rafael Gallego and Leon Jaskulski have been easily the two hottest members of the Top Prospect division as of late, and now the two of them will meet in what could be a decisive matchup: the winner may just punch their ticket into the Ascension. Which one will come out ahead? The Excellent Blades have been pushed back time and time again in their never-ending quest to claim the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships... but they've never given up, not for a second. The longest-tenured team in all of Proving Ground will once again try to get their shot, but to do it, they'll have to take down the Tachibanas... with SATOMI fresh off of a mostly-disastrous Grand Prix showing in Sakura Pro, now might be the perfect time for the Blades to step up. Closing out the night, there is absolutely no doubt that Mercedes Ortega is on a roll. She's been nigh-unstoppable as of late... but Katherine White is here to try and prove that her victory over SATOMI last episode was no fluke. If she can beat Mercedes here, Katherine might just position herself as a serious threat in the Inspire division... or even more.

Bit of a long one this week. Suppose I'm making up for the fact that I'm only going once a week for a bit. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1134730630Youtube: youtu.be/2UkqG5M2vMwQuick Results Ziggy Rockefeller def. Akira Ryusaki Riccardo De Luca and Felice Santana def. White Hot Aria Kintelas def. Christina Wagner Harley Brooks def. Arthur Wright Fresh Suzuki def. Jessika Boom The Pride of Scotland def. Adrenaline Rush Anna Bryant def. Reina del Tigre Rafael Gallego def. Leon Jaskulski The Excellent Blades def. The Tachibanas Katherine White def. Mercedes Ortega
Bonus: Priya Mallaya def. Amanda Skye Write-ups Ziggy Rockefeller brought the house down right from the start of the night, as he absolutely killed it in this opener across from Akira Ryusaki. And while Akira threw his best at Ziggy, it was the powerhouse, the ultimate showman, that took the win here, scoring with his huge combo out of the corner to pick up the win. The relentless, blistering speed of Riccardo and Felice was just too much for White Hot, though they certainly made a fight out of it, with Keiko fighting just as hard as ever to try and hold out against the speedy duo. Still, a huge Phoenix Splash from Felice put an end to this one. We got exactly what we expected from this one, two tough and strong women going all-out on each other... Aria was the stronger tonight, though, with an absolutely brutal string of offense putting her well ahead until she landed a thunderous Spear to score the pinfall. Harley Brooks is quickly establishing himself as one hell of a force on Proving Ground, tearing through Arthur Wright here with his usual powerbombs and such to score a seriously dominant victory. As good as Jessika Boom has been lately, Fresh Suzuki was better, with this one being one of the fastest-paced matches of the night. Fresh came out ahead, getting the upper hand outside the ring before eventually landing a Destroyer inside the ring to score the win. A match far, far better than what that rating would tell you (the bias against seconds continues.) The Scots were on fire here, but attention has to be paid to Adrenaline Rush, who broke out a whole lot of new offense as they held in against their opponents right up until the end, where Nick MacLeod landed a huge torture rack powerbomb to get the pinfall. Anna Bryant might have found her spark again. While she was definitely outmatched for a lot of this one, she never gave in, and used her technical ability and quick reaction time to get back into the mix... and as Reina del Tigre sought to slip behind the young former champion, Anna reacted purely on instinct to snap her into a flash pin for the surprise victory. Rafael Gallego is on fire. Having now hit a major hot streak, he might just be the biggest front-runner for a spot in the Grand Ascension that Proving Ground has... and with this win over Leon Jaskulski, who had been on an equally-solid streak, it's hard to deny that Rafael might be on his way to the big event in October. The Blades don't seem content with coasting. Time and time again they've been pushed back from the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships... contenders getting their shots over the Blades, opportunities slipping through their fingers as they fail to capture the belts. But this could be the turning point: the surging Blades taking down the Tachibana siblings, and now could find themselves poised for another shot at those titles that have eluded them for so long. Could they be the duo that topples the Yoshida Twins? Katherine White scored a win over SATOMI last episode of Proving Ground, and most saw that as perhaps being a fluke. This, a win over Mercedes Ortega, who's been as hot as anyone in all of Proving Ground? Suddenly, Katherine White might just be the real deal... and shockingly, could wind up being the front-runner of the Inspire Division. We got a little crazy tonight after a longer card than usual, and went with an extra bonus match anyway. (Well, actually two, but the latter wasn't saved) Priya Mallaya, ahead of her appearance for Butterfloor on Wednesday, got a bit of a warm-up against fellow Valkyrie Pro star Amanda Skye, and the two set out to steal the show, with Priya eventually scoring a tapout with her signature submission.

Showdown's up again on Monday, and we've got an interesting one set up this week. Showdown Episode 85 Besos vs. Revon Beauregard
Haruka Matsura vs. Kaelara Sentarl
The Muscle Machines vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Angel/Michelle)
Alexandria Kirison vs. Kellaron Sentarl
Markos Andreas vs. Selisha for the Pacific Northwest Championship
The Dynawasps vs. The Heyward Sisters
Natasha Clover vs. Telan Kintelas
Candace Monroe vs. Laenara Kintelas
Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas vs. Pure Gold Kicking off the night, it's a clash of the most beautiful man in Phoenix Rising and the luchadora of love... is Revon one of the few people Besos might not actually want to give her signature Besos to? (Eh, probably not.) Either way, this one's sure to be a wild opener between two exceptional talents. Kaelara Sentarl might be looking to fight her way back up the Pacific Northwest division rankings after giving up her spot for Silver Hawk a few weeks ago... and what better way than by taking on a member of the Malevolent Triad, albeit the former champion rather than the current. Haruka, as well, is definitely looking to bounce back from losing that title... The Muscle Machines are back again this week, and this time, they've got a familiar team across from them in Les Beautes Blondes... this time with Angel alongside Michelle Rochefort, after Celine Chevalier was KOed by Todd Colton's Destroyer last episode. It's likely that she's kept on the sidelines until after the Grand Ascension... but Michelle is certain to be just as dangerous alongside Angel. Kellaron Sentarl is out to prove himself as the man to beat in the Grand Ascension, as he's just about locked up the other World Championship slot along with Todd Colton. However, the one remaining obstacle is none other than Alexandria Kirison, who seems primed to teach the young man a lesson before the tournament arrives. A win for Kellaron here would basically earn him the spot outright... a loss would make things very, very interesting indeed. The Pacific Northwest Championship is on the line as always, as Markos Andreas steps up to take the shot that he defended from Mallory Spaulding last episode. Markos proved to have some serious fight in him against the suplexing powerhouse of Pure Gold, but Selisha is another beast entirely... The Heyward Sisters are back in tag action as they set their sights on the new champions... but the Dynawasps will not be an easy match, being former champions in their own right. Blake and Avispa weren't able to topple Firehawk and Kileas during their reign... but could the GOAT be a more vulnerable target for either team? Natasha Clover is no doubt frustrated over constantly being sent back in the Pacific Northwest division, not having held the title in quite a long while now. But challenging Telan Kintelas in the hopes of getting that much closer to the title again might just be a mistake... does she have what it takes against the wild powerhouse? Candace Monroe is here to prove herself, not just as #1 contender for the World Championship, but to prove that she can hang with the best of the best in Phoenix Rising. Enter Laenara Kintelas, a former World Champion in her own right... perhaps still reeling from her loss to the Black Dragon, she'll no doubt be much more focused here against the Limbtaker, but there may be no better trial by fire for the young Australian. They may not be the tag team champions anymore, but the Icons of Phoenix Rising have one more challenge regardless... Firehawk Sentarl practically insisted that Pure Gold would be the next in line to face the legendary duo regardless of whether they still held the titles. There's simply no doubt here, though: Kanjirin will be looking for two things... one, beating Firehawk to add to his quickly-growing legacy against the Sentarl family, and two, knocking down two of the biggest names in Phoenix Rising to make his reign as World Champion that much more impressive...

Bit of a chaotic night, but the matches all delivered. Over-delivered, even. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1141440488Youtube: youtu.be/C_iH1edJbn8Quick Results Besos def. Revon Beauregard Kaelara Sentarl def. Haruka Matsura The Muscle Machines def. Les Beautes Blondes Alexandria Kirison def. Kellaron Sentarl Markos Andreas vs. Selisha never started thanks to Pure Gold The Heyward Sisters def. The Dynawasps Natasha Clover def. Telan Kintelas Laenara Kintelas def. Candace Monroe Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas def. Pure Gold Bonus: Kaede Takeda def. Andrea Hawke Write-ups A seriously hot opener with Besos avoiding her usual finisher in favor of pure lucha technique. She had control of this for most of the match, and finally put Revon away with the Wheel of Love for the pinfall. This was an all-out war that showed that if Kaelara Sentarl hadn't given up her shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship to chase after Kanjirin Tonorian, she could've easily won the title from Haruka Matsura. It took a hell of a lot of work, but once again, Kae proves that she's a warrior and comes away with a huge submission victory. The Muscle Machines had their "once every six months" match, which is to say they actually looked like a competent team for once. When they're at their best, the Machines are incredibly dangerous... as they showed tonight in this win. But we all know this won't last. Not even the debut of a new finisher from Kellaron was going to stop Alexandria Kirison from picking up the win here, her relentless striking and focus on her brutal Cross-arm Camel Clutch proving decisive against the young Sentarl. This might set the stage for a chaotic finale: there's three names remaining to vie for a single spot in the Grand Ascension as a World Championship division representative. We didn't get Markos Andreas vs. Selisha... all thanks to Pure Gold, who not only stormed the ring the moment Markos was there, but brought along a surprising third name in Kyle Anderson. Markos held his own in the brutal handicap... but there's definitely trouble brewing here. Why are there three names still in the mix for the Ascension spot? Because the Heyward Sisters showed up in a big way tonight, stepping up against the Dynawasps to pick up maybe one of the most hard-fought victories they've had in a long time, culminating in a rare victory from Listalva's Crossface Chickenwing. Lis manages to keep herself in the running, and we're looking at a huge three-way contest to determine who goes to the tournament. Just after this match, we got a glimpse backstage as Firehawk and Kanjirin got into a heated argument... It simply cannot be doubted, after the last few weeks: Natasha Clover is running a major hot streak, and it's earned her a spot in the Grand Ascension alongside Besos, wrapping up the Pacific Northwest division entrants. She was electric here against Telan, weathering a brutal Judgment to the outside, snap powerbombs and a wild brawl on the outside to lay him out with a series of knee strikes to pick up one hell of a pinfall victory. While Candace Monroe did her best to hold out against a former World Champion, Laenara Kintelas was not about to take another loss after her defeat against the Black Dragon previously. Candace just couldn't quite get things rolling all the way, and fell to a leaping cutter to give Lae the win. Maybe one of the most drawn-out brawls in recent memory, as Pure Gold and the Icons went at it for nearly a solid 40 minutes before Kileas finally managed to lock in the King Cobra Hold on the World Champion. Could Kileas have set the stage for a shot at Kanjirin coming out of the Ascension? And just how will Pure Gold bounce back from this? From the Icons of Phoenix Rising to the Icons of Valkyrie Pro, we got another stage in the eternal rivalry between Andrea "Fire" Hawke and Kaede Takeda. And this was absolutely Kaede's night, relentlessly going for submissions and keeping Andrea from ever gaining momentum, ultimately giving her the victory.

This is the week we decide all of Proving Ground's participants in the Grand Ascension... 'cause this is the last Proving Ground before we get there. As a small note: names that are now fully confirmed for the Ascension are as follows. Todd Colton Besos Natasha Clover Katherine White (Most recently added) Yes, Katherine White will join the Grand Ascension next month seeking to prove that her hot streak is no fluke... which leaves one other slot in the Inspire division to be filled. And as you'll see... we have a way of pulling that off. Proving Ground Episode 86 Anahera vs. Keiko Maeda
Akira Ryusaki vs. Leon Jaskulski
Amber Wright vs. Anna Bryant vs. Felice Santana vs. Jessika Boom vs. Mercedes Ortega vs. Reina del Tigre vs. La Corsaria vs. Aria Kintelas
Harley Brooks vs. HAYATO
Leona Sterling vs. SATOMI
Arthur Wright vs. Rey de la Carne vs. Riccardo de Luca vs. Ziggy Rockefeller
Fresh Suzuki vs. Golden Tigress
Rafael Gallego vs. Nick MacLeod
The Excellent Blades vs. The Yoshida Twins for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships We start the night with a clash of two women that are usually tag specialists... with Anahera flying solo, ever since Xiu Mei Li's injury, and Keiko Maeda, trying to prove she can hold her own against one of the top talents on Proving Ground. No doubt Rei Hasegawa will be there at ringside to cheer on her White Hot partner. Akira Ryusaki has had a rough time of it lately, and he'll attempt to pull out of his slide against Leon Jaskulski, who has been putting on a strong showing... and while the decision may have come to not include the newer stars in this year's Ascension, Leon could very easily keep his momentum hot and find himself staring down Sanya Markov in the near future instead. This right here is where we decide who will join Katherine White as the Inspire division representative. Eight women vying for their shot at the tournament... but which one will come out ahead? This will be the most chaotic match of the night, and as it'll be held under the usual rules (no over-the-top), it'll be a pure fight to the finish. The Tachibana siblings have also found themselves in a bit of a skid as of late, and they'll both attempt to break their streaks... HAYATO may have the tougher match of the two, taking on a red-hot Harley Brooks, who's easily been a standout talent, while HAYATO tries to deal with the raw power Brooks possesses. SATOMI, meanwhile, squares off with Leona Sterling, who comes fresh off of a violent but victorious showing in Butterfloor, defeating Odin Brockhouse and continuing to establish herself as a top talent in that fed. And while SATOMI has been a stand-out on Proving Ground for some time, Leona might just have all the momentum in her favor. Another important Ascension match... this four-way contest will decide one of the Top Prospect division candidates. All four of these men have proven themselves as some of Proving Ground's finest, but only one of them will make it into the big tournament... will it be one of the newer names, like Riccardo or Ziggy? Or will it go to a somewhat more established Arthur or Rey? Fresh Suzuki is back in singles action against a surprisingly tough Golden Tigress. Tigress has shown some serious talent as of late, but against one of the single most popular names in Proving Ground's near four-year history, does she really have what it takes? The other Top Prospect division match that decides the Grand Ascension: Rafael Gallego, who has been absolutely red-hot for weeks now, takes on Nick MacLeod... power against speed. Can Rafael keep up his momentum and take down the powerhouse Scot? Closing out the night: once again, the Excellent Blades are right there, on the precipice of greatness, set to finally make their way to the top of the Proving Ground tag team division. Time and time again they've found themselves knocked back down... but the Blades have given up their shot at the Ascension to take this opportunity to claim the tag titles once more. Can they finally pull it off? Can they shut down the Yoshida Twins and claim their first gold as a team after so long? Or will the Yoshida Twins break everyone's hearts yet again?
