You heard it right last week... Sky's The Limit is coming next Monday, and it's a doozy of a show. Allison Avery vs. Hana Brightly, Grudge Match
The Excellent Blades vs. The Sheridan Brothers, Proving Ground Tag Team Championship #1 Contender's Match
Amber Wright vs. Anna Bryant for the Academy Championship
Layla Al-Amin vs. Candace Monroe vs. Ruthless Nicole Alger vs. Titania vs. SATOMI for the Inspire Championship
The Bingo Hall Mutants vs. eMo for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships
Kantar vs. Natasha Clover for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Les Beautes Blondes vs. Kileas and Winifred for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships
Victor Kintelas vs. Todd Colton for the Top Prospect Championship
Urani Whitemist vs. The Black Dragon for the Phoenix Rising World Championship The opener just added to the card last night... stemming from an incident during Allison's match against Titania, in which she blatantly slammed into referee Hana Brightly. As seen above, Hana has not taken this incident well, and demanded a match with the Arkansas Lariat Queen... and so once again, we'll see Hana Brightly in a Phoenix Rising ring, a place she's definitely felt comfortable in. The Excellent Blades earned their chance here last night as they took down Winter Fresh... while the Sheridans rode on the back of Todd Colton to pick up their victory over Kyle Anderson and the Muscle Machines. Now the two teams clash to determine just who will be the next team to face off with the seemingly-unstoppable Victor and Kellaron... The Blackwood Academy gets some recognition tonight: and Amber Wright couldn't be happier about it. Denied a chance she thought was rightfully hers last month, she now gets her long-awaited Academy Championship match on the biggest stage possible: a major Phoenix Rising card. But Anna Bryant has been nothing short of incredible as Academy Champion... and it won't be easy to dethrone her. Layla Al-Amin faces the single toughest test of her career. The Cairo Cyclone will step into the ring against four other women with the Inspire Championship on the line: two of her opponents, devastating submission specialists, the Limbtakers. The third: the incredible powerhouse that's made a giant impact on Proving Ground since her debut, Titania. And finally... the amazing SATOMI, who's been maybe one of the fastest-rising stars in all of Phoenix Rising. Could this be the night Layla finally falls? Evergreen also gets some representation on this show... with the Bingo Hall Mutants set to defend the Evergreen Tag Team Championships against none other than eMo. With Sookie and Penelope picking up some impressive wins, could they turn the tide and bring down the Mutants? Or will the dominant PEWA team crush yet another challenger? Natasha Clover almost certainly dreads this match... for all her bluster and bravado, Kantar is a nightmare in the ring, a vicious powerhouse, a psychotic demon threat that's torn through Evergreen and seems primed to bring his success to Showdown as well. But Natasha is nothing if not one of the most valiant fighters in Phoenix Rising... even with her bad attitude, there's no doubting that Natasha has heart. Les Beautes Blondes are on the cusp of greatness. Angel Leblanc and Michelle Rochefort already have one win over the reigning tag team champions... and with Elise Pichon sure to be involved as well, the reign of Kileas and Winifred could be in more danger than it's ever been in before. Still, when their backs are to the wall... the champions have been known to turn things up in a big way. Todd Colton can't lose here. A win over Victor means that he's risen to the very top of Proving Ground... claimed the championship that he's had his eyes on all this time. A loss, however... well, he's stated that he'll walk away from Proving Ground, and one can only guess that his destination will be Showdown. Still, one has to wonder how he'd be promoted after losing a title match... but maybe Todd's just that damn good. Still, Victor's been one of the single most dominant champions in recent memory, so if Todd really wants that title, he'll need to be at his absolute best. Just three nights after stepping into the ring across from one of the most frightening trios ever assembled, the Black Dragon returns home to defend the Phoenix Rising World Championship against her closest friend. Urani Whitemist is the very woman that the Dragon won the title from in the first place... and the Titan wants it back, seeking to become the first-ever two-time World Champion in Phoenix Rising. But the Dragon's Hoard has only just begun again... and she won't let go of her greatest prize lightly.

One year ago (more or less): last year's Sky's The Limit was headlined by Kileas Kintelas challenging World Champion Urani Whitemist, a match that saw Urani retain her title and continue on for some time afterwards as champion. Women's Champion Shiana Sentarl defended her title against Anahera. The legend of Pure Gold was born that night, as they won the Proving Ground Tag Team Tournament and became the first-ever Proving Ground Tag Champions... and the Rising Storm recaptured their tag team championships from the SFG, that night made up of Laenara Kintelas and the Black Dragon. Tomorrow night, Sky's The Limit begins under a very different environment: but one thing hasn't changed. Urani Whitemist will once again headline this blockbuster of a show, this time as the challenger for the World Championship as she takes on the Black Dragon... once again entering the show with a championship around her waist. It is perhaps the biggest matchup of the entire year for Phoenix Rising: its two most dominant champions over the past year, perhaps in Phoenix Rising's entire history, in a main event for the ages. There can be no doubt about it: when the dust settles on this show, we may not be the same after. The Black Dragon"It'll have only been three nights since my last match when I step into that ring tomorrow night. Sky's The Limit... just three days after my Lightning Pro match, and I am more than ready for it. Staring down Crusher Honda... Wrecker Yamamoto... Tarkhan the Mangler. Dangerous, all of them, in their own right... but none of them have earned the moniker of 'Titan'. Urani Whitemist... make no mistake, is a threat. No matter whether I'm able to call her one of the few friends I have... this championship goes beyond friendships, or any relationship I might hold. Anyone who comes for this prize is a threat. And Urani is a bigger, and more dangerous one, than most.
But make no mistake. Do not think that I'm afraid of this match. Do not think that I believe she can take this title from my grasp. Remember who took this title from Urani in the first place... When I step into that ring, I will have been World Champion of Phoenix Rising for 224 days. Seven months, that I have stood at the top. And it will not end there. When I am done, Urani... you'll still be unable to bring me down. I am the unstoppable force. I am the Black Dragon. I am the World Champion and I will REMAIN the World Champion for as long as I still draw breath." Urani Whitemist"It was almost exactly one year ago that I won that World Championship. June 4, 2018. I was the one that toppled Lance Marshall, on Showdown's tenth episode. A landmark to start my reign, and ten episodes later... Dragon ended it. Bookended by two landmark milestones... what better way to claim the top spot once again than by taking back my title on the biggest show of the year? I refuse to look past Dragon... I have been in the ring with her too many times for that. I know too well what she can do, even to me. But I am far from the same person that she defeated late last year for the championship. And I am ready to take my place back at the top. Your hoard, Dragon... sorry to say, but I will have to dash your hopes once again before it grows. At the end of the night... for the first time in seven months, Phoenix Rising WILL have a new World Champion." Todd Colton"Tomorrow night's the big one. The moment you've all been waiting for, that big showdown between the best that Proving Ground has to offer, and the forgotten son of a family that doesn't know who they are. Face it, Victor... the Kintelas family is a relic, your father's a shadow of the man he once was, your uncle a joke, you yourself... barely able to hold up their legacy. I won't get into your sister... she's got enough problems dealing with you idiots and recovering in the hospital as it is. Fact is, though, I'm coming into this show riding a wave of momentum that you couldn't even dream of matching. I've got everything on my side. And you better damn well believe that I WILL leave as Top Prospect... and prove once and for all that I am better than you've ever been." Victor Kintelas"I've heard the constant chatter coming from Todd Colton all this time. Heard how cocky he is, how confident he is in himself, how he'll come into this show, beat me for the Top Prospect Championship and come home some kind of conquering hero. But you keep forgetting that you're not the hero of the story, Todd... you're not even the villain. You're someone who's gotten a shot way over his head, someone who's making a challenge he can't hope to live up to, and I'll make damn sure you know it when all's said and done. Yeah, maybe you are talented enough to move up to Showdown and reunite with your girlfriend. Fact is, I know I could do the same, I know Kellaron could do the same, any day we wanted. But right now... this is the prize we're after. This is where it's all going down. It's just you and me... no Natasha in your corner, no Kellaron in mine, just the two of us settling this once and for all.
And as for the Kintelas 'legacy'... spare me. It should've been obvious to every single person from day one that I don't care about the family name, or any so-called 'legacy'. I'm not my father. I'm here to make my own path, my own story... the only legacy that matters right now is the one I make for myself alongside Kellaron. Got it?"

Well, as expected, Sky's The Limit was bonkers all around... started strong, finished stronger. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/437423695Youtube: youtu.be/ocJqTIdI5p4Quick Results Allison Avery def. Hana Brightly The Sheridan Brothers def. The Excellent Blades to become new Proving Ground Tag Team #1 Contenders Anna Bryant def. Amber Wright to retain the Academy Championship SATOMI won the battle royal to become the NEW Inspire Championship The Bingo Hall Mutants def. eMo to retain the Evergreen Tag Team Championships Kantar def. Natasha Clover to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright def. Les Beautes Blondes to retain the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships Todd Colton def. Victor Kintelas to become the NEW Top Prospect The Black Dragon def. Urani Whitemist to retain the Phoenix Rising World Championship Write-ups Allison Avery had no words for Hana Brightly after Proving Ground... perhaps still reeling from her loss to Titania, perhaps not wanting to give Hana the response at all. She spoke with her lariats, and beat Hana with one in the end. The Sheridans wound up just one step ahead of the Blades here... while Donna's technical prowess was on display, Vincent landed a Twist of Fate and put this one away to set the Sheridans up with a championship match against Victor and Kellaron in the near future... Anna Bryant showed no fear in defending her title here: taking the fight to Amber without any hesitation. And while Amber did her best to try and take the champion down, Anna just wouldn't give in... and wore Amber down with her teacher's signature submission. The Anaconda Vice would prove the decisive move here, and Anna retains her title for the second time... and Amber unfortunately moves to the back of the line to give way for the next challenger... Christina Wagner. An absolutely superlative performance from SATOMI tonight... she dealt with the champion first, taking out Layla Al-Amin with the driver that's been so effective for her in other matches. She gave the same to RNA, taking her out of the match as well... and stared down Candace Monroe and Titania, going face-to-face with them for nearly another fifteen minutes before forcing Candace to tap out to her Rings of Saturn submission, and finally choking Titania out with another hold... sweeping the battle royal and claiming the Inspire Championship in the most impressive fashion possible. This match was trouble from the start... but to eMo's credit, there was no backing down from them here. Still, the size mismatch proved too much to overcome, and Sookie's distraction led to the Mutants retaining with little effort in the end... even if Rampage Rage found himself bloodied very early on. Natasha Clover looked almost heroic standing up to Kantar here... fighting with everything she had, putting every last bit of strength she had into trying to put Kantar away. And indeed, she did wind up exhausting every bit of strength she had... a triple powerbomb leaving the now-former champion out cold on the mats, having to be stretchered to the back. No news yet on her condition... but Kantar now holds the Pacific Northwest Championship, and it may be tough to take it from him. Winifred Wright was not going to let the same thing happen twice. Elise Pichon was less of a factor here, but stepped in at a key moment to keep the match going for the Blondes... a match that had been back-and-forth for most of it. But Winifred eventually locked in her Triangle Scorpion on Michelle Rochefort, and forced her to tap out almost instantly... securing the tag titles for yet another strong defense. Todd Colton has made good on his word. Despite the obvious distraction of Natasha's injury weighing on his mind, Todd turned it up in this match in a big way... and brought the fight to Victor with a fire that we don't often see from him. He refused to slow down... refused to quit, and eventually, after a long, grueling struggle that saw both men breaking out almost every trick they had to play... Todd caught the champion in a Binding Suplex, and scored a stunning three-count, becoming the NEW Top Prospect, and setting Proving Ground on a brand-new era. These two met under opposite circumstances seven months ago... with Urani as champion, and Dragon as challenger. But the result now stands as the same. The Black Dragon once again brought the fight to the Titan, and not once ever dreamed of backing off... holding back her trump card until the very end, waiting for her opening, and then delivering a crushing reverse chokeslam to Urani that sealed the three-count. Can anyone in Phoenix Rising hope to stop the Dragon now? The Black Dragon "There's nothing more to say. The same result as last time, Urani... you can't beat me. You'll never take this title back from my hands... nobody will. Because friend or foe, this championship represents something bigger. It represents everything that I am... the best of the best, the World Champion, the one force that nobody... NOBODY has been able to stop. It doesn't matter who my next challenger is. It doesn't matter who you put in front of me now. I'll crush every... last... one." Kantar "This has been a long time coming. Evergreen's been protective of their big title... keeping me away despite the winning streak I put together over there. Phoenix Rising's done their best to keep me away from anything big... but they couldn't deny me what I earned under their own system. And Natasha's now your warning. If you're coming for this Pacific Northwest Championship, you better be ready for the reality... that you might end up just like her. Laid out, broken, and carried out of the arena. If you think you're good enough, though... you're welcome to come at me whenever you want. Yuki Maeda gets another shot at me next week... I hope she's ready for round two." Todd Colton "What did I tell you? What did I tell the world? This was MY night, the night I'd rise to the top. And I damn well proved it. There is no doubt... no doubt anymore, I'm the best that Proving Ground's got, I will ALWAYS be the best. Let Hana Brightly cry about it all night long, but it's hardly your fault he lost... I beat him. End of story. And nothing you can do is gonna change that.
That's all I've got to say tonight. I need to make a trip to the hospital. No better way to brighten her spirits than by showing her this." SATOMI <There was nothing you could've done to stop me tonight. This was always meant for me. Layla... your time had come. The Limbtakers... you stick to your team, and stay out of my way. And as for you, Titania... remember that feeling, fading out in my grasp. You will never get that close to holding this title again. Savor how close you came... but never, never forget who it was that finished you and the rest of the field off.> Allison Avery "Y'know somethin', Brightly? I didn't say much last week 'cause I didn't think it mattered. But I've been thinkin' a fair bit on what you said to me, and I really... don't like what you're sayin' about me. Think I'm some backwater hick? Can't accept the world changin' around me?
Lemme rephrase... do you think I give a single SHIT about your favorite couple? Doesn't matter one bit to me. You called me out, you said a LOT of things that I made you damn well regret... my problem's with YOU, now, not anyone else. You wanna know why I took your ass out in that match last week? Convenience. You were the ref there... if it'd been Miyako, I would've taken her out, if it'd been Ruben, I'd knock his ass flat too, not that he'd feel it much. But you wanna take this personal, I'll make it fuckin' PERSONAL. You wanna challenge the Lariat Queen of Little Rock, I'll show you what a woman can do when her arms don't look like a pair of limp fuckin' noodles." As for Natasha Clover, she was indeed injured by the triple powerbomb, but luckily the injury was somewhat mild. She'll still be kept off of Showdown for the next couple of weeks to let her recover.

So, on the heels of that massive undertaking, we move forward to Thursday's Evergreen show, Saturday's Academy house show, and next Monday's Showdown. Busy week. Again. I keep doing this to myself, there's nobody else to blame. Firstly, Evergreeen. Sayaka Saito vs. Haruka Matsura
Kantar vs. Rampage Rage
Rebecca Andrews vs. Selisha
Young Blood (PEWA) vs. Mystery Opponent
Veronika Armstrong vs. Fenix Oscuro
El Verde vs. The Sheridan Brothers
Mercy Devine vs. Julian Shepard vs. Babe Ruthless vs. Ash Defiant (#1 contender's match for the Evergreen Championship) The terrifying trio led by Fenix Oscuro sets their sights on the band... Veronika Armstrong and her partners will face off with Oscuro's group in three matches, kicking off with Sayaka Saito taking on Haruka Matsura. It remains to be seen whether Sayaka can keep pace with the deadly ninja... Haruka has been a major threat for a very long time. Kantar, the newly-crowned Pacific Northwest Champion, returns to his true home in Evergreen... triumphant, but frustrated. A loss to Young Blood last Evergreen has left him angry at the world despite claiming his first-ever championship this past Monday at Sky's The Limit... but he'll be looking to get back on track and continue his path through the PEWA, picking up one of the opponents he missed the first time through: he defeated Skullface Killah, but never faced Rampage Rage one-on-one, and he'll now get his shot at the other half of the tag team champions. Rebecca Andrews will be the next to step up against Oscuro's group, taking on their newest addition: Selisha. Little is still known about the deadly woman under the mask, but Rebecca's sure to have her hands full... Selisha is not an opponent to take lightly. Young Blood returns to Evergreen following his defeat of Kantar, and Mercy Devine appears to have lined up an opponent for him... but she won't say who it is. She has stated, however, something along the lines of "that Lobo Muerte son of a BITCH"... god only knows what that's supposed to mean. SURELY Mercy wouldn't call her greatest enemy in for a favor like this. The final match of the series, between the respective leaders: Veronika Armstrong steps into the ring with Fenix Oscuro. Oscuro's a dangerous woman... but Veronika's in her home environment, the place she's most comfortable. Can Oscuro overcome that massive home advantage? The Sheridan Brothers are riding high after taking down the Excellent Blades, and lining themselves up for a shot at the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships... but this is Evergreen, and they've gotta deal with El Verde, now. This match could, however, prove very, very important... it could set up the next challengers for the Bingo Hall Mutants. Finally, the show's capped off with one hell of a main event. The four people who won their singles matches last Evergreen will all step into the ring for a 4-way brawl to the finish: the winner earning their shot at the biggest prize, Eternamente Verde's Evergreen Championship. Mercy Devine, Julian Shepard, Babe Ruthless, Ash Defiant... all dangerous in their own ways, and all hungry for a shot at Verde and her title. Mercy Devine "Yeah, you HEARD me, you Warrior Pro piece of- ugh. Look, let me just come right out and lay my cards on the fucking table. Yes, I called up Kevin Fucking Royce after the Young Blood shit happened a couple of weeks back. Agreed to let him come back to Evergreen, AS A WRESTLER, if he came after Young Blood for us. And then Lobo FUCKING Muerte had to pop off and do his thing, and suddenly I find myself without my first backup.
You want to know how much I hate your fucking guts, Young Blood? Coming in here with the attitude you've got? Trying to shit on everything we've built up, that Philly's built up? I was willing to bring back the only person I hate ALMOST as much as you to kick your ass. But don't you worry one damn bit about that... I come with backup plans FOR my backup plans, big guy... and I'm gonna give you one hell of a warning. Kantar's the big fish around here. Hell, he's not exactly small fry over in Phoenix Rising, either. But there's a big... big fucking difference between 'big fish'... and a fucking SHARK." Next Monday, of course, Showdown returns... having been pushed back a week after Sky's The Limit took center stage. Fenix Oscuro and Selisha vs. Adrenaline Rush
Yuki Maeda vs. Blake Dynamite
Rachel White vs. Mascara Avispa
Kaelara Sentarl vs. Besos
Haruka Matsura vs. Eri Sentarl
Pure Gold vs. The Rising Storm
Tasharun vs. Rilantha De Nav
Lance Marshall vs. Firehawk Sentarl Just a few nights after squaring off with Veronika Armstrong's crew, Oscuro and Selisha team up for the first time since forming their alliance, and take on Adrenaline Rush. Nitro and Thunder have yet to find success in Phoenix Rising, but could this finally be their night? It's a brawl at the top of the Pacific Northwest rankings for the first shot at Kantar... taking the night off after his crushing championship victory and his brawl with Rampage Rage. Yuki Maeda takes on the next challenger down the line, Blake Dynamite... but with the prize being the first shot at Kantar, a match Yuki's already stared down, do you really want to be the winner? Rachel White hasn't found much success herself... and this may be a task far over her head. Facing off with the living junior legend in Mascara Avispa, she'll have to stay focused and bring her devastating kicks to bear if she wants even a remote chance of walking away with a win. Kaelara Sentarl seems to have struggled to find her way since losing the Pacific Northwest Championship... but she steps into the ring with Besos this week, looking to turn her fortunes around. Still, Besos is an opponent that can turn the tide in an instant... BESOS could happen at any moment. Haruka Matsura has her sights set high: Eri Sentarl is the third-ranked Pacific Northwest challenger, and Haruka wants her spot. But there could also be ulterior motives here: with Haruka's recent alliance with Oscuro, could the Dark Phoenix be sending her partner after her hated rival to continue harassing the young Sentarl? Pure Gold has struggled since their promotion... trying to find their way on the main roster after being the most dominant tag team champions perhaps in Phoenix Rising's history. They'll have to focus here: it's a tough test against the most decorated team in the Rising Storm. Two big matches close out this show: the prize waiting at the end, a chance to face the Black Dragon for the World Championship. And once again, Rilantha De Nav finds herself staring down the demon. Ril has yet to hold singles gold in Phoenix Rising... but the veteran seems willing to go through anyone to get it, now, and Tasharun can't lose focus or look past her if he wants to rise to the top once again. Finally, the main event: Firehawk Sentarl seeks to rise up to the top one last time himself, but he'll have to go through former World Champion Lance Marshall to get there. The winners of these final two matches will face off at Showdown #36... and the winner of that match will earn their shot at the Dragon, and a chance at the ultimate glory: a chance to become the Dragonslayer and claim the World Championship that's been firmly around Dragon's waist for the past seven months.

Bingo Hall Mutants Rampage Rage: Hah, I get my shot at you now, Kantar! Look, the boys and I all got all the respect in the world for ya, we think you're like our brother from another coast, you won that respect, fair and square. But you know damn well what respect means in PEWA: it means we're cool with you sheddin' our blood, but it also means we're gonna do our best to stain the mat with yours, too! So just 'cause we like you don't mean that I'm gonna take it easy on you in there! You're big, mean and bad, but a few people've said that about me through the years!
Skullface Killah: Rampage don't play!
Rampage: Damn straight, I don't play! I get in that ring, I don't care if it's someone who I considered a mentor for twenty years, like Hobo Harry, I don't care if it's the Biffmeister, I don't care if it's the guy I still see as the ace, Luke Powers, I don't care if it's my main man Skullface!
Skullface: Hell yeah!
Rampage: And I sure as hell don't care if it's you! I'll splash you through the mat if you give me a chance, Kantar! So you bring your best, and I'll go two steps higher! And we'll see who can hobble away with their arm raised high and the hardcore fans cheering their name!
Skullface: Loser still gets BBQ and beer, too...
Rampage: Damn right they do...but winner gets dibs. Them's the rules of the parking lot grill.
Young Blood Young Blood: So Mercy Devine thinks she has me shaking in my boots, pissing my pants, crying like a little baby. Mercy thinks that she has a ace up her sleeve. But what Mercy doesn't understand is this; I don't give a fuck what card you have, because cards are just little pieces of paper. I can shred paper. Paper gets ruined if it gets soaked in blood. And I will eviscerate whatever you have behind the curtain, Mercy! I will show you that I am not just to be feared, I am to be avoided! I will send the quivering, cowering pulp that is left of what you give me, and I will let that stand as a message; do not test me, because I fear no test! I fear nothing! I am the essence of hardcore! I am the new generation, rising up to tear down the tired, sorry vestiges of the past! Fear has no meaning to me, authority has no meaning to me, the past has no meaning to me, because I make my own rules, I go where I please, and I let nothing hold me back! And soon, after I rip and tear through your bullshit, and after there is nobody left, you will hand me your title. And then you, and the world will know that once again, I will have conquered yet another territory on my mission to purge, purify and remake the hardcore world into a better image; mine.

Well that was everything that Evergreen stands for... violent, bloody, with wars that would make even the wildest fans weep. God knows Tomas is somewhere quite pleased with the light tubes that came out to play early in the show. Anyway. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/438762401Youtube: youtu.be/0Z89cQDmCUMQuick Results El Verde def. The Sheridan Brothers Haruka Matsura def. Sayaka Saito Kantar def. Rampage Rage Selisha def. Rebecca Andrews Young Blood def. Tasharun Fenix Oscuro def. Veronika Armstrong Julian Shepard won the 4-way battle royal to become new #1 contender Write-ups The night opened on an intense tag matchup in which El Verde re-asserted themselves as one of Evergreen's best teams. The Sheridans tried to keep pace, but were outmatched tonight: nowhere less obvious than with the finish, in which Evergringo had Zack pinned while Verde locked Vincent into a submission for the finish. The start of a rough night for Veronika's crew: Sayaka just couldn't get it rolling against Haruka despite an extended brawl on the outside. Haruka once again showing that she's a threat no matter what ring she steps into... and could very well continue to take Evergreen by storm even alone. This was a return to form for Kantar. Hot on the heels of his victory over Natasha Clover on Monday, the new Pacific Northwest Champion stepped into the ring with Rampage Rage and came out ahead after wearing the big man out, and bounced back from the shocking defeat at the hands of Young Blood. Rebecca Andrews struggled to find her footing against Selisha in the second match of the feud, the Naga Queen running circles around the Chicago native... and she'd eventually finish the job with the Reincarnation, capping off a stunning victory. Ahead of the next match, Mercy appeared to deliver a message... "Now, Young Blood, I told you what you were in for tonight... you wanna write it off as not being a threat, fine. But I hope you're ready to dance with the fuckin' devil tonight... or at least, a DEMON." Enter Tasharun, and what followed was the most brutal, violent, vicious match in the history of Evergreen. No other Evergreen match could ever live up to the mess that this was: the longest match, by far, blood spilled across the ring, an outright brawl of epic proportions. Still, Young Blood endured it all... stood face-to-face with Phoenix Rising's demon, and finally picked up the victory, leaving Mercy seething with rage... Veronika Armstrong set out to salvage at least something out of the night... but Fenix Oscuro would not be denied, making the Mercykiller look positively weak. A Fenixplex put this one away, securing the clean sweep... and Veronika would be doubly disappointed when the Warriors, whose colors she wore tonight, dropped the NBA finals to the Raptors. Maybe one of the toughest nights Veronika's ever faced... yikes. Babe Ruthless was a wrecking ball in this match... but Julian Shepard was seemingly the opportunist. Babe eliminated Ash Defiant first, then forced Mercy to tap out to her full-nelson camel clutch... but Julian would fight his way through afterwards, landing a huge Gutbuster and stealing the victory... and one final opportunity to beat Eternamente Verde. Mercy Devine "You think you've made your point... got through my backup plan... avoided stepping in with Kevin Royce... I've got one more ace in the hole for you, Young Blood, one more plan to-" Mercy gets cut off by her phone ringing... a moment that clearly annoys the Evergreen owner. She snatches it up. "You have no idea how bad your timing is- ... I've got no more interest in bringing outsiders for this guy, I'm not in the mood-"
There's a long stretch of silence... Mercy seems to be mulling something over. "You already sent me the hardest-hitter you had, dammit... what the hell else can you give me? You understand what the hell you're offering?" She sinks down into a chair and frowns. "Fine. You got one more shot at helping us out. I'll keep my last plan in reserve if you fuck it up again. You got me?"

But it can't be understated how dangerous Oscuro and Selisha looked here... Selisha may be new to their team, but she's already blended well with both Oscuro and Haruka. Blake Dynamite reminds the world just how good he really is... for all of Yuki's talent and experience, there might not be anyone in the world that can stand up to two Lotations back-to-back from Dynamite. Blake will get the first shot at new Pacific Northwest Champion, Kantar, while Yuki will have to wait one more episode before getting her opportunity. Rachel White just couldn't quite measure up to a living junior legend in Mascara Avispa. Never fully able to bring her devastating kicks to bear, Avispa eventually outpaced her, and after locking in La Avispa, capped off a dominant victory. Never underestimate Besos. Kaelara Sentarl tried to keep the young luchadora grounded here, but just couldn't stop her forever... and while she fought it off for as long as she could, eventually Besos brought her signature BESOS into play, and finished things off. Eri Sentarl came straight out of the gate with a bang... but Haruka didn't let up either. This match was easily the most fast-paced, relentless match of the whole night, as expected, and it took a whole lot to end this one: Haruka nailed a few sharp moonsaults, but Eri fought her way out of those... meanwhile, Haruka managed to kick out of the Little Phoenix in turn, eventually leading Eri to go up top and nail a huge Phoenix Splash to score a major victory, all as Listalva Anne Heyward watched from ringside. Maybe one of the best-wrestled matches of the night: Pure Gold looked like their Proving Ground selves again despite the defeat, and the Rising Storm once again looks like the incredible threat they've always been known to be. Anahera eventually tapped deep into her moveset to land a sharp suplex, and a single mis-step from Kanjirin led to the Rising Storm picking up the victory. Rilantha De Nav looked like she was doing all right for a bit... and then Tasharun started to pick things up. A single Demon's Wrath wasn't enough... Ril kicked out of the first, but the second clearly left the veteran out cold, and Tasharun walks away with maybe the most dominant victory he's had in ages. Lance Marshall was determined as ever to get back to that top spot... and he wasn't going to let Firehawk get in the way of that. Lariats aplenty, a Cattle Drive, a harsh driver that still didn't seem to be enough... it'd eventually take a Tower Hacker to finish this one, but there was no doubt who stood tall after this one. Lance goes on to face his old rival in Tasharun in two weeks... the winner earning a shot at the Black Dragon and the World Championship. Eri Sentarl "That's the sort of match I've been waiting for... I feel like I haven't quite been able to show my stuff quite right lately, but now, I'm back in the game. I know your game, Oscuro... you're sending your partners against me before you think of coming yourself. Haruka this week. I already know you've got Selisha waiting in the wings next. But mark my words, I beat Haruka, I'll beat Selisha, and before we meet in the ring again, I will be Pacific Northwest Champion... and you're just gonna have to wait your turn when that happens." Eri smirks... the young woman's brimming with confidence now, even as she turns to a nearby Listalva, the two walking away holding hands. Tasharun "Apparently a few days is all it takes for you people to forget just who I am. A forty-minute war in Evergreen and still you think, just because of the result, that you can write me off as no longer being on top. The image in your minds now won't be from Evergreen... it'll be Rilantha De Nav laying broken in that ring, destroyed, because she is no champion, she is not worthy, she will NEVER be able to conquer me for as long as she tries. And as for you, Lance Marshall... don't think I've forgotten our history. You'll fall just as quickly. I'll destroy you, and go to face the Dragon... and her reign will come to an end, once and for all."

Proving Ground next Monday promises to be a big one: two big debut matches taking place, introducing three new wrestlers to the roster ahead of a potential shake-up between Proving Ground and Showdown. The Golden Tigers vs. Winter Fresh
Titania vs. Anari Lynn Heyward
Akira Ryusaki vs. Kyle Anderson
Ruthless Nicole Alger vs. Allison Avery
The Muscle Machines vs. The Excellent Blades
Hugo Dirksen vs. Todd Colton
SATOMI vs. Candace Monroe
The Sheridan Brothers vs. Victor and Kellaron for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships The first debut of the night happens right away, as the mysterious Golden Tigers take center stage against Winter Fresh. The Tigers (known only as Golden Tiger and Golden Tigress) seem intent on making an impact from their debut, but Winter Fresh is a dangerous team to start out against... Rin and Fresh will no doubt be on top of their game for this one. Titania has an opponent that may very well be her equal one-on-one. She has yet to face Anari Lynn Heyward, but that match happens this week, as perhaps the two strongest powerhouses in the Proving Ground women's division square off... and with Titania in a foul mood after falling short at Sky's The Limit, no doubt Anari will want to be on guard. The other debut of the night sees the arrival of Akira Ryusaki, older brother to Rin. He'll have a tough test himself as he takes on Kyle Anderson, but word has it that Akira is a deeply talented wrestler, much like his younger sister... though in a much different way than the Winter Kunoichi. The Limbtakers fly solo again this week, as RNA takes on Allison Avery, fresh off of a dominant victory over head referee Hana Brightly. Alger's been a dangerous foe lately, and despite an early exit from the Inspire Championship 5-way at Sky's The Limit, one thing hasn't changed, and that's her incredible submission game... not to mention the devastating strikes. But the Lariat Queen of Little Rock is riding high... and could be a tough matchup regardless. The Muscle Machines are on a reasonably solid run lately, and they'll be looking to keep it going against the Excellent Blades... but Nicole Blade and Donna Nobel have proven themselves to be close to the top of the Proving Ground tag division, and it's tough to doubt that they're potentially in line for a championship match sooner rather than later. A win here for the Blades could set them up very, very soon. The new Top Prospect, Todd Colton, is on top of the world. Doing exactly what he said he'd do at Sky's The Limit, he defeated Victor Kintelas, claimed the title, and now hasn't shut up about it the entire week since. Hugo Dirksen, however, will be looking to silence the brash new champion, and potentially send Todd packing... a win by the Dutchman would give him a shot at the title, and could end Todd's reign before it really begins. SATOMI has expressed some level of respect for the young Australian... and now Candace Monroe will get the first match with the new Inspire Champion. Expect this one to be a serious clash of talented striking and submissions, two young women skilled in similar fields... and Candace will be looking to avenge her defeat in the championship 5-way. The Sheridan Brothers earned this shot at Sky's The Limit, a match they received after the 6-man tag last Proving Ground... and a victory over the Blades later, the Sheridans are in line to make history by toppling Victor and Kellaron. But there is no doubt in anyone's mind: the champions are as dangerous as ever, and with Victor no longer Top Prospect, he'll be all the more focused on keeping the tag titles... and he'll want to send the Sheridans packing back to Evergreen. SATOMI <Candace Monroe may be the one that impressed me the most at Sky's The Limit... she's similar to myself. A fighter, through and through. This is why I've given her the first chance at me one-on-one. She's more deserving than the rest... Layla's time was up. Titania is too brash, too wild to deserve the next opportunity... and while I respect Candace's partner as well, Candace herself endured more in that match. Make the most of this opportunity you've been given... because I do not intend to show any restraint against you.> Todd Colton "Hugo freakin' Dirksen. That's the first guy I get to face off against, as champion. CHAMPION. Don't forget that! The best that Proving Ground has, haven't I told you enough by now? Hugo's been spinning his wheels the entire time he's been here, and he's not gonna walk away with a win here. Thinks he's hot shit with the fancy submission and the suplexes, but I got news for you... I got everything you got and more, and I'm the Top Prospect on top of that. So this is where the victory tour begins, got it?
Oh, and don't think I've forgotten about what Kantar did at Sky's The Limit. I'm coming for you, jackass, for what you did to Natasha. I'll break your fuckin' arm if I get a hold of you." Titania "You wanna give the first shot to some skinny, five-foot-nothing MMA washout? That's what you're gonna do, SATOMI? Fine. You run through whoever you want, but you and I both know damn well that the moment I get you one-on-one, that Inspire Championship comes home with ME, because I'll break you in half. You wanna play with Candace Monroe, go right ahead. Meanwhile I'll be staring down one of the only women around here that stands face-to-face with me instead of looking up. Anari, you've got one big flaw compared to me: I'm pure, raw fucking muscle... you're strong, but you're soft. You're not winning this matchup... you're not a match for me, and I'll damn well prove it."

Hell of a show this week... a lot to be said for this one, especially with the debut matches. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/443897705Youtube: youtu.be/EwQ2GdRMr_IQuick Results The Golden Tigers def. Winter Fresh Titania def. Anari Lynn Heyward Kyle Anderson def. Akira Ryusaki Allison Avery def. Ruthless Nicole Alger The Excellent Blades def. The Muscle Machines Todd Colton def. Hugo Dirksen SATOMI def. Candace Monroe Victor and Kellaron def. The Sheridan Brothers to retain the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships Write-ups Hot tag opener, as we see so often... the Tigers came roaring out of the gate in their debut, and eventually Golden Tiger caught Rin in a painful submission that forced a tapout in a hurry, giving the Tigers their first victory. A clash of the strongest women that Proving Ground has to offer... Titania made a major statement in taking out Anari here, putting the entire division on notice. There is no doubt that she'll be coming after SATOMI before long... but in terms of raw strength, there is one other woman that may have a claim to face off with Titania. Unbelievable. Almost nobody comes into Phoenix Rising with a debut quite like this one... but Akira Ryusaki showed up and had the match of the night, maybe the match of the YEAR for Phoenix Rising against Kyle Anderson, and while the debuting Japanese star didn't pick up the win, this one was in doubt clear up to the very end, with Kyle needing to break out a major combo to put it away: a German Suplex, held on to lead into a brutal Croyt's Wrath for the win. Akira may be making a major impact before long. Allison Avery continues to tear apart the division... despite a disappointing loss to Titania, she bounced back and wiped out Hana Brightly at Sky's The Limit, and turned her sights on Ruthless Nicole Alger, once again reminding everyone just how much of a threat she really is... Once again, the Muscle Machines seemed to take this match too lightly for their own good... early on, Avery Alexander was clearly not taking this one seriously in the slightest, and despite some solid teamwork, the Blades slowly but surely fought their way back into it, culminating in Donna Nobel wiping out Gary Gear with a Northern Lights Bomb, and picking up a huge victory. Todd Colton would not be embarrassed in his first match as Top Prospect... taking the fight to Hugo Dirksen, but meeting with far more resistance than he'd figured. The two traded armwork, Hugo brought his suplexes into play, Todd landed two Destroyers... but it was a quick, tricky armbar that finally got the win for the champion, Todd escaping this match with a hard-fought win. On any other night, this might've been match of the night... with Akira and Kyle, these two women had to take second place. But make no mistake, this match was intense, with Candace relentlessly working SATOMI's legs, trying to work the knee for a submission, all while SATOMI continued to land strikes and tear into the young Australian, finally blasting her with a Nomisugi Knee out of the corner to pick up a very, very tough victory. SATOMI was seen limping to the back, a testament to just how much damage Candace was able to do. Victor Kintelas was determined not to lose the other title he held... two weeks ago, at Sky's The Limit, he lost the Top Prospect title to Todd Colton, but after tonight, he's still a champion... the Sheridans were in charge for a good stretch here, but the champions were as sharp as ever, Victor's cutter putting in work... but it was Kellaron, coming into the ring on a mission, that caught Zack in a crossface and scored a near-instant tapout, keeping the titles where they are... and where they seem intent on remaining for a good while yet. Titania "I damn well told you what would happen ahead of this one. I told you that I'd take down Anari because she's soft, because she doesn't have the raw power that I do. And I'm going to continue proving that to the entire division if I have to... SATOMI included, until that Inspire Championship is around MY waist. I am, without a doubt, the strongest woman here on Proving Ground, and I dare anyone... ANYONE to prove otherwise." A noise from behind Titania causes the big woman to turn... and Nicole Blade stands nearby, looking Titania over.
"Strongest woman on Proving Ground, huh? Last time I checked that was MY title... you wanna start going around making that claim, you better be ready to back it up. You and me."
"You're on... I'll send you right back to your safe little tag team, and show you that you're not on my level, Blade..." Victor Kintelas "You look at the tag team championships... you sit there, you realize that there's only four people in the WORLD that have held these titles. You think I'm going to roll over and let the Sheridans just show up and take them? These titles MEAN something... something more than any other in the entirety of Phoenix Rising. Only two teams have ever, EVER held them. And Vincent... Zack... just don't measure up. My suggestion? Run back to Evergreen and keep working their style... because you don't have what it takes here. Not against us."

Evergreen takes center stage again this Thursday, and Young Blood will be at the forefront, as Mercy Devine continues to try and find a way to stop the monster that's now taken down some of the best ever to come through the upstart fed. Babe Ruthless vs. Zack Sheridan
Ash Defiant vs. Vincent Sheridan
Mercy Devine vs. El Evergringo
Kantar vs. Hobo Harry (PEWA)
Julian Shepard vs. Eternamente Verde for the Evergreen Championship: LAST CHANCE
Fenix Oscuro, Haruka Matsura and Selisha vs. Veronika Armstrong, Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito
Young Blood vs. Mystery OpponentThe Sheridan Brothers have two separate tests this week, first seeing Zack taking on Babe Ruthless, who's been quite the threat as of late. The Sheridans will be looking to avenge the frustrating defeat Monday night, failing to capture the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships, and will try to bounce back in their home fed... Immediately after, Vincent takes on Ash Defiant, who may very well be even more dangerous than Babe. It's sure to be one of the harder-fought matches of the night... Mercy Devine will try to get herself back on track as she takes on El Evergringo, who's been left in a sort of limbo since Eternamente Verde became Evergreen Champion. Still, he's certain to rise to this challenge... that, or Mercy will have a bloodstained luchador broken and beaten by the end of the night. Kantar's path through the PEWA just doesn't end... ahead of his first Pacific Northwest Championship defense against Blake Dynamite, he'll be taking on the wild Hobo Harry, trying to get a sense of just what he might be in for next Monday... The Evergreen Championship match not even second-to-last? The last three matches of the card are all blockbusters, without a doubt... but Julian and Verde will now be meeting for the third time, and this will be Julian's last chance to pick up a win over Verde and reclaim the Evergreen Championship. Can he finally put this behind him, or will Verde prove once and for all that he can't handle her? A massive 6-woman tag match, with Veronika's crew looking to avenge their embarrassing performance last episode, where they were swept in all three matches against Oscuro's trio. Now, under Evergreen rules, this trios match will be maybe the most chaotic match in Evergreen's history... Mercy has been nearly silent on what this match will be, on who Young Blood will step into the ring with this time... she's stated it's someone who's never set foot in an Evergreen ring before, and that it's not the Black Dragon, who she's declared as "only when literally everything else has failed". Still, what could possibly remain as an option? With Young Blood holding a victory over the Demon, Tasharun, how do you escalate from there? Many will have an idea of who might be Mercy's ace in the hole... but only Evergreen's owner knows for sure. All we really know about this match is that Mercy has revealed one small detail: it requires a referee that's a bit stouter than the rest. As a result, the main event this week will be officiated by none other than a returning... Kevin Royce.Kevin Royce "So here's the deal... probably a lot of people wondering just why I'd ever bother coming back after the way things went down. Why I'd come back this way... why I was even intended to take on this Young Blood upstart. He's made it his mission to take down the older generation... wipe out all the PEWA mainstays, cut a path of destruction through anyone he thinks is 'past due'. That would include myself... and regardless of how I left Evergreen before, I will not see this place that I BUILT fall into ruin because of some psychotic tattooed FUCK who thinks he's the next great gift to deathmatches. Make no mistake... I'll settle everything with Mercy, before long. But right now... this isn't about our grudge. This is about Evergreen. This is about what we have made, this is about our fucking LEGACY... and I don't care who it is that eventually has to beat this bastard down, because it's high goddamn time someone taught him what it feels like to be sent packing. Whatever you've got in mind, Mercy... you better be fucking sure they'll get the job done..."

Hobo Harry Hobo Harry: Yeah...this Kantar cat's one hell of a dude, he's beat down justa bout all the Originals, showed real respect doin' it by not holdin' back, we hardcore cats, we don't like that, so we 'preciate he don't talk bull, he just fights. Just about all the old cats, but me been beat now, so I thought it ain't right that I didn't step up and see what this is all about. So Kantar, don't look at the ol' Hobo man like he ain't able to take what you got, gimmie your best, 'cause if you don't, you'll find out why the Hobosault's been puttin' hardcore cats down for more than twenty years!
Young Blood Young Blood: Mercy Devine, you throw everything you have at me, and all I keep seeing is that your friends, your allies, your little Evergreen Wrestling doesn't amount to shit! I don't care that Kantar kicked everyone's ass from the PEWA, I don't care that he got some third tier midcard title shot, he ain't shit, I proved it! I don't care that people shake and quiver when people mention Tasharun, I took EVERYTHING he had, and spit it right back at him, he ain't fuckin' shit, I proved it and then some! And now you got so desperate that you brought back that crusty old fossil Kevin Royce to referee? What, you think the referee's gonna jump me? I don't care, Royce, if you don't want me to do what Mercy wouldn't, and end your worthless career, stay the fuck out of my way! And we got another surprise, another deep dark name from Marcy's past...just get it over with already, I earned my time with your title. The New Age of Hardcore has arrived, and you're either going to accept that, or get left in the past!
Young Blood: You can keep wasting my time and yours, go ahead, bring your Black Dragon over, I'll rip her apart just like the rest! You can bring over Mega Meat, Andrea Hawke, Iris Coleman, Gary Gear, Five Star Kyle Anderson, Firehawk Sentarl, I don't care! Bring anyone you got...but start thinking about what you're going to do when I get that belt. Because I see your friends falling, one by one, another pool of blood drained from one of their broken bodies, another career wrecked to protect your little strap, one more life ruined to prop up your failing company. You can fight the future, but you're always gonna fuckin' lose. I am the future, and one way or another, you will make way for me!

Evergreen just keeps getting better and better. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/445241478Youtube: youtu.be/bBJgLByNoDEQuick Results Babe Ruthless def. Zack Sheridan Ash Defiant def. Vincent Sheridan El Evergringo def. Mercy Devine Kantar def. Hobo Harry Eternamente Verde def. Julian Shepard to retain the Evergreen Championship Haruka Matsura, Fenix Oscuro and Selisha def. Veronika Armstrong, Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito ELLY BLACKWOOD def. Young Blood Write-ups The show opened hot, with Babe Ruthless putting Zack Sheridan through his paces, eventually taking control of the match and landing a huge knee drop to finish the job. The Sheridans find themselves sinking fast... And it only got worse as Ash Defiant took it to Vincent. She was relentless here, eventually taking down the brash young Californian and sending both of the Sheridans home disappointed and frustrated. Mercy had control of this one almost throughout the whole match... but Evergringo was getting his shots in, waiting for the right moment. That moment came when an exhausted Mercy plowed into the turnbuckle, and Evergringo came off the top with a Kokeshi, picking up a stunning victory over Evergreen's owner. This could be a preview of Kantar's gameplan for Monday against Blake Dynamite... though, considering it was barely different from his usual one, that might not be saying much. Hobo Harry did show quite a bit of skill here, but the veteran just couldn't keep it up against the viciousness of Kantar, picking up yet another major victory. This would be the last time Julian and Verde meet for the title... and Verde was determined to send Julian home empty-handed, breaking out all the stops to ensure she remained Evergreen Champion. A wild brawl on the outside led to Verde eventually getting Julian set up for the Stardust Press, and once again, for the third time in a row, Verde defeats Julian... and now can finally look forward. Veronika and her crew just can't get it going against Oscuro's trio. It was Haruka that took charge tonight, though, showing no mercy to their opponents... Death From Above taking out Veronika Armstrong and once again putting the heel trio on top. Just before Young Blood came through the curtain for the main event, Mercy's voice came over the PA... "You should feel honored, a little, Young Blood... you're about to put one of the biggest claims in Phoenix Rising to the test. You're going to get to challenge... the INVINCIBLE." This was the cue for the return of none other than ELLY BLACKWOOD, making a shocking appearance... her first since being injured by referee Kevin Royce on Proving Ground some time ago... And she made the most of it. This turned into a violent one in a hurry... while no blood spilled, the two had a fairly extended brawl on the outside, Elly showing a surprising vicious streak as she landed her new finisher on the outside, crushing Young Blood on a pile of chairs... but once the match shifted back into the ring, Elly was ready to finish the job. A moonsault... a two-count. Frustrated, she drove Young Blood down with a modified brainbuster... another two-count. Now fully fed-up with her opponent, she landed her Stretch Bomb finisher, and finally... FINALLY put this one to rest, ending the shadow of Young Blood over Evergreen, after having to deliver more punishment to him than most could ever stand to take... perhaps Young Blood could come close to Elly's own claim of "The Invincible". Young Blood's opponent speaks: Elly tugs off her gloves, giving a withering stare into the camera... there's a ferocity behind her eyes now that didn't seem to be there before. "You want to know why Mercy trusted me for this one? She saw the level of punishment Young Blood could take. Saw what it was going to take to bring him down. She tried to go with overwhelming force with Kantar and Tasharun. But that's not enough, for someone like that. I know what it takes, because Young Blood and myself... we're not too far apart. The difference being... you just aren't quite there. You can take a beating... you can dish one out... but you're this punk of an upstart, cutting your way through deathmatch after deathmatch. You're a brawler... wild, unchecked, uncontrolled. And make no mistake... I beat you, one, two, three, for a reason. Do I think you would've tapped out if I'd done my job? Of course you would've. It would've been that, or I break your fucking arm, either way... you'd walk away beaten. But no, that wouldn't be the way to do it. I wanted you to be certain of one thing, beyond the shadow of a doubt... that you finally met someone that's as much of an impenetrable WALL as you thought you were... and you blinked first.
This might be the only time I ever step into an Evergreen ring. I don't know. But I did this as a favor to Evergreen... and to avenge a slight against Phoenix Rising. Young Blood will take the long trip back to Philadelphia, and he'll still be PEWA Champion... but now they know that he's human. That he can be beaten. That he can be stopped.
And don't you ever. Fucking. Forget it."

Tell you one thing, I gotta jump right into the Showdown card because the show's three days away and it's gonna be a pretty big one to boot. :V Pure Gold vs. Les Beautes Blondes
Rachel White vs. Listalva Anne Heyward
Sophia Moretti vs. Telan Kintelas
Eri Sentarl vs. Selisha
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Markos Andreas
Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright vs. The Rising Storm
Shiana Sentarl vs. Alexandria Kirison
Tasharun vs. Lance Marshall, #1 Contender's matchWe kick off with a tag match, as we so often do... with Pure Gold looking to finally start recapturing that success that carried them through Proving Ground as the most dominant champions of the time. But Les Beautes Blondes have been tough to crack... dangerous in so many ways, and able to take down opponents seemingly far over their weight class.
Rachel White also continues to meet with struggles, and against Queen Anne, it might just continue... Listalva Anne Heyward seems every bit as dangerous as she's ever been, the transition from Proving Ground to Showdown proving to be a very successful one thus far.
Sophia Moretti will aim to stop the momentum of the wildest man on Showdown, Telan Kintelas... but this one won't be easy. Technical skill can help, but Telan has often forced the match to progress at his own pace... a relentless offense that leaves his opponents with nothing left in the tank.
Fresh off a trios victory in Evergreen, Selisha will be the only member of Oscuro's trio to work Showdown this week... with Eri Sentarl having taken down Haruka Matsura last episode, Selisha will be the next one Oscuro sends at her old rival, trying to topple her before stepping in herself. But Eri doesn't seem eager to let any of Oscuro's allies beat her...
Markos Andreas makes his debut this week... the fact that he's jumping straight to Showdown, and facing off with Firehawk Sentarl on his first night, should be a sign of just how high Phoenix Rising is on this newcomer. Hailing from the Macedonian part of Greece, Markos seems to share some talents in common with fellow Greek Alexandria Kirison... though so far the two appear to insist that they have not yet met each other.
The tag team champions face another tough one this week: the Rising Storm seems primed to reclaim their spot at the top of the division. But Kileas and Winifred have been nigh-unstoppable as champions... Anahera and Xiu Mei Li will have an uphill battle, no doubt, if they want a shot at the titles once again.
Shiana Sentarl is back in action, and she's got Alexandria Kirison to worry about. Alex is, without a doubt, one of the toughest women in all of Phoenix Rising... and Shiana, as of late, may have finally begun to lose a step. But one can never count the veteran out... Shiana's made it very clear that she intends to attempt a run at the very top, potentially as World Champion, before she thinks about retiring.
Finally, our main event: the #1 contender's match, the match that will decide who faces the Black Dragon in two weeks for the World Championship. Tasharun wiped out Rilantha De Nav last episode in short order, and while she wasn't injured, she was given this episode off to prepare for the upcoming 49th Parallel... meanwhile, Lance Marshall defeated Firehawk Sentarl in a highlight of Showdown #35. This rivalry has raged on and off almost since the very beginning of Phoenix Rising's history... but who will earn the right to challenge the unstoppable force that is the Dragon?

Well, that was all very unexpected and chaotic. Yikes. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/447095102Youtube: youtu.be/UpkXiMe8pnMQuick Results Les Beautes Blondes def. Pure Gold Listalva Anne Heyward def. Rachel White Telan Kintelas def. Sophia Moretti Eri Sentarl def. Selisha Firehawk Sentarl def. Markos Andreas The Rising Storm def. Kileas and Winifred Alexandria Kirison def. Shiana Sentarl Tasharun def. Lance Marshall Blake Dynamite def. Kantar to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Write-ups Les Beautes Blondes continue to take Showdown's tag division by storm... and given the developments of tonight, could be in a remarkably powerful position going forward. A hard-fought, big-time victory over Pure Gold here... could it finally be their time? Rachel continues to struggle, while Queen Anne continues to dominate. Listalva looked like Queen Anne tonight, without a doubt, and put this one away in truly dominant fashion, never letting Rachel truly get a foothold, before putting her away with a big axe kick. Sophia fought valiantly here after being busted open early, and gave Telan one hell of a fight. Eventually, though, she just couldn't keep it up, and a snap powerbomb finished this one off, putting the Italian down. Telan picks up a much-needed victory in what feels like his first match in a while. Eri looked to be in serious trouble throughout a lot of this match. Selisha was in control, twisting Eri up, trying to gain full control... and then, finally, a fire seemed to light under the Little Phoenix, and she came to life, eventually landing a big Shiranui out of the corner, and finally escaping with the win, once again leaving Fenix Oscuro frustrated... she just can't seem to keep Eri down. The debut of Markos Andreas got off to a rough start, as Firehawk was clearly not willing to let the newcomer get anything going, hitting a Phoenix Dive remarkably early in the matchup. But Markos steadily fought his way back and made this a tougher fight... and while he still eventually fell to a second Phoenix Dive, he looked strong in the end, and should be able to bounce back in the near future. One of the major stories coming out of tonight: Xiu Mei's STF claimed another victim, cranking on Kileas and seemingly causing some sort of injury. Whether it was the hold itself or just the punishment of a long, grueling match all adding up, doctors initially estimated a long recovery time, but later reduced their estimate: Kileas is expected to be out for two months, now, set to return in September. This does, however, mean that the decision has been made to vacate the tag team championships... Kileas was not the only wrestler to suffer an injury tonight. Alexandria Kirison took it to the veteran, and in short order had locked her in her cross-arm camel clutch... and immediately, knew something had gone wrong. Shiana went down in a hurry once the hold was released, and it wasn't clear how bad it was... but news quickly came that the injury was, thankfully, minor, and Shiana will simply remain out of action for just one month, mostly as a precaution. Another chapter in this vicious rivalry was written tonight... another war between these two, and this time, it was Tasharun that eventually came out ahead, a Demon's Wrath ending the brawl after a long, extended match. Tasharun sets himself up to face the Black Dragon for the World Championship in the near future... could he finally be the one to end her reign? Set up as an extra match once I remembered it needed to happen, this one didn't disappoint, with Kantar doing everything he could to keep Blake down and out... but never quite managing the feat. To Kantar's credit, though, he weathered all of Blake's biggest moves... only succumbing to his Bow and Arrow in the end, and giving Blake his first main roster championship.

Coming up next Monday, of course it's Proving Ground, what else? #1 contenders for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships will be decided, champions in action, team names being settled on... lemme tell you, last night was a busy one. Before we get into the card, allow me to show you a little something Hana did to help visualize the Phoenix Rising organization, top to bottom. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fRUsjpAHVvXw66xEfhJSLIBhr0Q52G6pnQU8W3D_qWw/edit?usp=sharingThis spreadsheet was recently added to the three collections I have (Phoenix Rising, Evergreen and the Blackwood Academy) and shows every bit of organization throughout the four regular shows. Faces, heels, divisions, tag teams, everything. Hana of course also went to the trouble of naming every team that didn't already have one (with some minor input). It probably shows a bit (staring at Victor and Kellaron, yep) Anyway, without bogging things down too much in praising Hana for this fantastic document that looks aaaaaaaaaaaawesome in every possible way, let's get into how Proving Ground looks next week. Adrenaline Rush vs. Team Proving Ground (Argent and Hugo Dirksen)
Jennifer Phoenix vs. Reina del Tigre
The Golden Ambush vs. The Avian Assassins
Titania vs. La Relampaga
Victor Kintelas vs. Kyle Anderson
The Limbtakers vs. The Excellent Blades, #1 Contender's Match
SATOMI vs. Anari Lynn Heyward
Todd Colton vs. Kellaron SentarlA bit of a surprise to kick the show off: Adrenaline Rush has shifted down to Proving Ground after a long struggle trying to find their foothold on Showdown. They'll find some tough competition here as well, though, as they arrive to take on Team Proving Ground, which has found itself lacking in membership as of late... Argent and Hugo now being the only regulars still remaining, with Kyle striking out on his own and walking away from the team, and Elly Blackwood seemingly staying with Evergreen for the time being.
Another surprise to be found here as Babe Ruthless makes the jump over to Proving Ground from Evergreen, with intentions to compete for the Inspire Championship. She'll be starting things off with Jennifer Phoenix, in what's likely to be a tough matchup for both sides... nobody's going to be rolling over here.
A sudden change a few days ahead of time: Babe Ruthless appears to have changed her mind and will be sticking with Evergreen, briefly sending this particular match into chaos... but enter the Golden Ambush, who state that they've got someone to fill the void left over. Reina del Tigre appears to be aligned with Golden Tiger and Golden Tigress, but other than that... we don't know much. But Jennifer Phoenix will want to be prepared for anything.
Previously known only as the Golden Tigers, they've now picked up a more "proper" team name in the Golden Ambush... Tiger and Tigress have their sights set higher after their debut victory over Winter Fresh, as they look to topple the Avian Assassins, who have been one of Proving Ground's more dangerous teams over the past few months.
Titania returns to her war against the lightweights... after a detour to challenge for the Inspire Championship, the Blue Bomber now sets her sights on La Relampaga. But the Lightning Luchadora surely remembers Titania's shocking defeat at the hands of Felice Santana... can Relampaga equal that effort?
Former Top Prospect Victor Kintelas isn't sitting idle... seeking to reclaim his title, but needing to earn his way to a rematch with Todd Colton. What better place to start than with Five Star Kyle himself? Kyle Anderson has steadily put together quite the resume over the past few months on Proving Ground, but Victor, other than his loss to Todd, has seemed almost insurmountable...
It's the opportunity of a lifetime. The Limbtakers clash with the Excellent Blades to determine who will get the shot at the reigning Proving Ground tag champs... now referred to as "The GOAT". No doubt they've earned the name, though... still, they've only just barely cracked the halfway mark of the incredible reign Pure Gold held before them. As for this match... the Limbtakers are coming off of an absolutely incredible victory in UCSS, with Candace Monroe forcing the incredibly dangerous Renate Barlowe to submit, while the Excellent Blades are fresh off of a victory over the Muscle Machines last week. Who will be the ones to move forward?
SATOMI continues to take Proving Ground by storm. Fully intent on proving to Titania that she's on another level, she now takes on the very same opponent Titania defeated last week in Anari Lynn Heyward. But SATOMI could have an uphill battle, with Anari looking to show the reigning Inspire Champion that she's no pushover... and certainly not a measuring stick for SATOMI and Titania to use for their own means.
Finally, Kellaron Sentarl seeks to gain some measure of revenge for Victor Kintelas, as he takes on reigning Top Prospect, Todd Colton. Todd will have his hands full this time around: Kellaron's grown into a very dangerous, talented young wrestler, capable of snatching a victory at any moment... and Todd will need to keep himself sharp if he wants to make it through this match without having to worry about defending his title against Victor's vengeful partner.
