Showdown has one final show before the big #20 as well... and things don't seem to be calming down ahead of the big one, either. Pre-Show: Blake Dynamite vs. Victor Kintelas Pre-Show: Proving Ground 8-Woman Battle Royal (Anna, Felice, Vivian, Layla, Natasha, Allison, Leona, Cassie) Pre-Show: Les Beautes Blondes (Elise/Michelle) vs. Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright (#1 Contender's Match) Rachel White vs. Mercy Devine Xiu Mei Li vs. Sophia Moretti Angel Leblanc vs. Haruka Matsura Rilantha De Nav vs. Telan Kintelas Tasharun and Kantar vs. Binak Tonorian and Lance Marshall Kaelara Sentarl vs. Laenara Kintelas (#1 Contender's for the Women's Championship) The Black Dragon vs. Anahera, winner faces Urani at Showdown #20 Besos and Eri Sentarl vs. Fenix Oscuro and Hypnosia On the heels of an ultimatum, Victor Kintelas may be wrestling one of his last matches as a member of Pure Gold here... taking on the Top Prospect, who's set to defend his title at Proving Ground #20. Both men will need this win to keep their momentum high going into the major show, but only one can walk out a winner here.
With no challenger set to face Rin Ryusaki for her Inspire Championship, eight women will be given the opportunity to earn their way into the match with her... which of those eight will come out on top and face off against the wintry ninja?
With the Rising Storm delaying their rematch with Firehawk and Rilantha, a challenging team needs to be decided for Showdown #20: and Les Beautes Blondes want to make sure that it's them, on the backs of Elise Pichon and Michelle Rochefort, as Angel Leblanc finds herself otherwise preoccupied. But against Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright, do the Frenchwomen have any chance at all?
Rachel and Mercy haven't done well in their promotion to Showdown, but they'll certainly find a win here... well, one of them will, as they face off with each other. Someone may finally get their momentum on track here.
Xiu Mei Li is in need of singles work, with Anahera finding herself busy trying to challenge for the World Championship. She'll take on a sinking Sophia Moretti, who has not looked sharp as of late.
Angel Leblanc has not been quiet about her opinion of Shiana Sentarl over the last few weeks. Claiming the former Women's Champion has abandoned the company, retired without a word, and is proving herself to be a coward, Angel has been absolutely relentless towards the veteran... how much more can Shiana take? And will Haruka be able to silence Angel here?
With no need for tag action tonight, Rilantha De Nav instead steps into the ring against Telan Kintelas, while Firehawk takes the week off. Ril may have her hands full, but she's proven she's more than capable of handling the Kintelas family in the past...
A surprise ambush and the return of Kantar last week led to an unusual alliance between Lance Marshall and Binak Tonorian. A mutual respect seems to have formed between the two, and they'll face off against a demonic threat as they team up to face Tasharun and Kantar...
Like so many other titles, the Women's Championship held by Alexandria Kirison requires a challenger. And it'll be one of these two: Kaelara and Laenara have had somewhat of a rivalry in the past, and it seems they're set to return to it, as they fight for the right to face Alex.
A shocking victory by the Black Dragon over Urani Whitemist last week sent the World Championship picture into chaos. Anahera was the #1 contender apparent... but Dragon has no intention of sharing the spotlight, positive she can claim the World Championship she was unable to claim while Lance was champion. Anahera, however, will not give up her spot without a fight... who will face the champion at Showdown #20?
Eri Sentarl's interference in last week's match between Fenix Oscuro and Besos only managed to make matters much, much worse for both herself and Besos. The arrival of Hypnosia in Phoenix Rising has stacked the odds against the Little Phoenix, and it'll take all that Eri and Besos have to get through this match... but Eri will finally have her enemy in the ring, in a fair fight, for the first time since Oscuro came to Showdown. It seems more than clear that this will lead to Eri vs. Oscuro at Showdown #20... that is, if Oscuro doesn't take the Little Phoenix out of action here.

Eri Sentarl "You're not gonna do this to me. I'm not going to be threatened, I'm not going to have you going around telling people that I'm someone that I haven't been for years now. You have no idea the trouble you're causing and it's not going to last. I don't understand it, even knowing exactly who you are, even knowing... maybe what you're talking about. But I'm getting out in front of this NOW, before you carry it out.
I... I'm not proud of who I used to be. Because Oscuro's not lying about one thing: I was awful, growing up. I was... the 'popular' girl, the bitch that lorded over everyone, because I was -better-. Better at everything. And it carried over into my training... and it hadn't stopped when I traveled to Mexico. At that point I believed I was the best there was, the future of wrestling, I was not only going to carry the Sentarl name into the future, I was going to surpass my family and be even bigger than they ever were. That was my thought process, and anyone... anyone that stood in the way of me proving that, was an enemy.
And one person stood out in that group down in Mexico. I won't give out her name. But you're the woman that became Fenix Oscuro. Yeah, I know EXACTLY who you are... and I know the exact moment that's got you calling for my blood. But what you still don't understand is that moment meant something different to both of us.
One of the last matches I had in Mexico before I came back home was with her. And whether we liked each other or not, we were... for as young as we were... incredible in the ring together. Maybe it was that real rivalry adding to us trying to outdo each other night after night, trying to step up and be better every time we went out there... and that night, I went up, like so many times before.
You know now that I've been doing the Phoenix Splash for years. You know that I've hit it plenty of times here in Phoenix Rising, you know that it's never caused me any trouble. But I was young. I was reckless. And I screwed something up.
A bad landing led to me injuring her. I didn't have much choice but to finish the match right there, so she could get help... because the fact was, it shook me up badly. It didn't matter that I spent so much time hating her guts for trying to outshine me, it didn't matter that I saw her as this... threat to my future. I never wanted to hurt anyone out there, no matter what I thought about them. I was never sure exactly what the injury was, but I felt something wrong, I heard it in her voice, and it haunted me.
A lot of people, for a while, gave me the reputation that I was dangerous. That I was reckless, and... for a while I think they were right. That moment damaged my pride, it damaged my confidence, and I started making even more mistakes. I spent some time in Japan after that, and they finally set me on a proper path. They put my head back on straight and got rid of the arrogance, got rid of the attitude.
So for you, Oscuro, to come in here and keep making your claims, to keep trying and drag my name through the mud, because of an honest mistake, an accident, is an insult to everything I've done since that day. It's an insult to the way I've tried to CHANGE. And I'm not going to hide from what happened. I'm not going to live in fear of you threatening to reveal my dark secrets, because there's no SECRET to be had anymore. So keep holding a grudge all you want. But I'm not gonna run and hide from you. I'm not gonna let you control this situation. You've been getting into my head, screwing with me week after week, and I finally realized it.
You don't have any power over me anymore, Oscuro. And I'll prove it this week when Besos and I beat you and Hypnosia, when we fight together and show you exactly what you're dealing with... and then... and then, comes Showdown 20, and I finally get you one-on-one and finish this once and for all."
At this point, as the young woman's fire grows, she suddenly switches to speaking Japanese... <And as for your constant mockery of never being able to figure out Spanish... I can turn that right around on you, Oscuro, because I'm pretty sure you don't know a word of Japanese. So how about I make you feel just a little bit of what I've felt when you've tried to screw with me? Fact is... if you really want to insist that I'm such a monstrous, evil woman, I could very, VERY easily tap into that nasty attitude that you remember. And I could break you, I could end you, I could RUIN you... but that's not who I am, and I refuse to sink to your filthy, underhanded tactics. So when I beat you, Oscuro, it's going to be the right way. It's going to be a clean one... two... three. And there's nothing you can do about that.>
Finally, after a short pause, having worked herself up into a near-frenzy, she takes a deep breath, and glares into the camera. "It's going to end the only way it should've ever been. Just you and me. Nobody else to get in the way. Nobody else caught up in your vendetta. This was never about anyone else, so you have no further right to bring anyone else into it. When we beat you here... and when I beat you one-on-one... there won't be anything left for you to say, besides the words 'I'm sorry'." Fenix Oscuro <Well, well, well... you finally found the words, hm? But it's simply more lies and deceit. You haven't changed, no matter how much you insist... how many have you forced down because you belong to the great Sentarl family? How many opportunities do you get simply for being Eri Sentarl, how many opportunities does your family steal for their own in a company they control? Your attitude may be different but your actions haven't changed! And if you think this ends with you simply because I have my problem with you... no, no, no, Eri, this doesn't end with you. Because once I destroy you, once I completely ruin you in front of your family, do you know what happens next? I dismantle everything you've ever loved as well. You're only the beginning, Eri, because I'm not content with just breaking you. I want your whole family to suffer, I want your life to go into a spiral that you never recover from. Do you want to know why I hold this grudge against you? For that injury, yes, but that's barely scratching the surface.
The attitude. The backstabbing, the stolen opportunities, the recklessness you've always showed... you claim you were shaken from your little 'accident' with me, but you simply left the ring, like the callous, cold bitch you've always been. You walked away, didn't try to find out what was wrong, didn't try to help, didn't try to make sure things were all right. For all you knew, my arm could've been broken. Ribs, broken. You didn't know what happened, you didn't want to know, just to keep your conscience from STRANGLING YOU! Even when you think you're doing the right thing, Eri, you're only looking out for yourself...
So you'll have no one to blame but yourself when I'm finished. Just remember that you've caused this. There's far too much to explain between us. All these people need to know, now... is that I hate you more than anyone, anything in the world... and I won't rest until I've absolutely destroyed everything that you are, everything that you stand for, anyone you've ever called a friend... and your entire, arrogant family, just to ensure that I've left you with NOTHING. And I will find a way to do every single one of those things... no matter what it takes.> (hoo boy, that got... a bit heavy, didn't it...)

Tonight's show was just slightly experimental, but I think it worked out fairly well in the end, thankfully. Let's take a look how it panned out. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/323300856Youtube: youtu.be/PyzU837J4A8Quick Results Victor Kintelas def. Blake Dynamite Cassie Rose won the Inspire Championship #1 Contender's Battle Royal Les Beautes Blondes def. Kileas and Winifred to become #1 Contenders for the Tag Team Championship
Mercy Devine def. Rachel White Sophia Moretti def. Xiu Mei Li Angel Leblanc def. Haruka Matsura... Angel called out Shiana Sentarl... and she answered the call, leading to a brawl in the ring! Telan Kintelas def. Rilantha De Nav Lance Marshall and Binak Tonorian def. Tasharun and Kantar Kaelara Sentarl def. Laenara Kintelas to become #1 Contender for the Women's Championship The Black Dragon def. Anahera to become #1 Contender for the World Championship Besos and Eri Sentarl def. Fenix Oscuro and Hypnosia Write-ups Something is definitely not right in Blake's head right now... he'd better figure it out soon, as his title defense against Silver Hawk is just one week away! Victor had full control of this one, and he may need the momentum as he faces Kellaron Sentarl next week for the right to stay in Pure Gold... Controlled chaos as most 8-person battle royals tend to be. In a stunning twist of fate, Vivian Forester made it all the way to the final two, and wasn't idle throughout, looking like an absolute wrecking ball late... at least until she was alone in the ring with Cassie Rose, who quickly snapped up the masked star and planted her with her own variation of her brother's Demonkiller. Cassie Rose will face Rin Ryusaki next week for the Inspire Championship... her new look and new attitude already paying off big for her. A remarkable upset, or simply the superior team reclaiming their place? Les Beautes Blondes announced their return in a big way, taking down Kileas and Winifred in a hard-fought battle, and now they'll get another shot at tag gold in Phoenix Rising... but the team of Firehawk and Ril, and their undefeated record, looms large in the distance. Rachel came out of the gate hot, but couldn't keep that momentum up, as Mercy's dirty tactics slowly wore her down. Raking and poking the eyes, going for the groin, there was nothing Mercy wouldn't do... including grabbing a fork and stabbing Rachel until she was bloodied, followed shortly thereafter with a vicious Dragon Sleeper that appeared to render Rachel unconscious. Rachel remains winless on Showdown, and will have some time to recuperate after this brutal matchup. Xiu Mei seemed confident coming into this one, and seemed to control much of the matchup... but Sophia simply wouldn't give in, getting her licks in where she could. Just as Xiu seemed to have it all wrapped up, though, Sophia sprang to life one final time, rolling the Chinese fighter up for a surprise upset victory, a much-needed win for Sophia. A stunning show of resilience by Angel, who fought through everything Haruka threw her way. The former partners showed no mercy towards each other, Haruka trying to choke Angel out with the King Cobra Hold, but Angel refused to die... and after fighting her way through it all, locked Haruka in a single Figure Eight, and came away with a big victory. But her night wasn't over yet. Angel would then grab a microphone as Haruka limped to the back, once again insulting Shiana Sentarl live on-camera, almost DARING her to come to the ring and silence her. And after needling the Queen by calling her a coward... there she was. Shiana made her way to the ring, and the brawl was on... the two trading blows, Shiana more than willing to close in on the Frenchwoman and land strikes. But the moment she managed to get Angel on the mat for any length of time... The Romero came out, and on a weakened Angel, it seemed like Shiana had the upper hand. Shiana seemed poised to take full control of the brawl... and then, Angel reminded everyone just how she operates. As officials ran down to try and break up the fight, Angel turned the tables on Shiana, and began to choke the returning Queen, a struggle that wasn't broken up until multiple officials pulled Angel away, leaving Shiana gasping for breath... but as Angel was pulled up the ramp, shouting French curses, Shiana rose to her feet with a steely glare. This isn't over... and with Angel demanding a match, it'll happen at Showdown #20. A rough night for Rilantha here, unable to get out of the gates as Telan ran roughshod, overpowering the veteran and perhaps reminding her why she's stuck to tag matches as of late. A Judgment to the outside seemed to leave Ril badly rattled, as she slammed into the turnbuckle shortly after returning to the ring, allowing Telan to set up the winning dive. For fear Ril may be injured, she's being looked at by medics, though so far it seems as though she's suffered nothing serious. An absolute war from start to finish, showcasing everyone's raw power... but Lance won the day this time, once again bringing down the Demon, this time with the Cloverleaf. Time will tell if he can repeat this feat at Showdown #20, however... he'll have no backup, just himself against Tasharun. Kaelara Sentarl seems absolutely determined to recapture the spark she held months ago, when she became AAW Heavyweight Champion and was making waves in Phoenix Rising. She'll have a chance, now, to climb back to the top... albeit, she'll be challenging for the Phoenix Rising Women's Championship instead. She handled a very cocky Laenara here, who took a few cheap shots at her rival, and rather than finish Kae off, continued the punishment... only to eat a Rainbow Bridge, using Hana Brightly's famous move to send her to the match against Alex! Anahera's dream of becoming the World Champion may have faltered here. Dragon absolutely refused to die, no matter what Anahera threw at her. She even endured the devastating Katahajime that so many others had submitted to... and Dragon, not one for subtlety, wrenched Anahera back in her own facelock submission, forcing Anahera to admit defeat. Dragon now goes on to face Urani one more time... this time with the World Championship on the line. In the first official meeting of Eri and Oscuro, Eri scored first blood... well, with a lot of help from Besos. It was Besos that seemed to manage much of the late-match damage, sending Hypnosia for a loop not once, but TWICE with nothing but pure Besos. And just when everything looked its worst, Besos fought back and grabbed OSCURO for a kiss as well! Oscuro, perhaps out of pure shock, tapped out without thinking... clearly, Oscuro's never faced anyone like Besos, and it cost her the match, suffering a humiliating defeat to Eri, and only adding fuel to the fire for their upcoming singles match at Showdown #20... Angel Leblanc "You've made the worst mistake of your career, Shiana! You could have retired and saved yourself all the trouble, all the pain, and only go down in history as a coward... now you'll end your career in disgrace when I destroy you, when I ruin you, when I FORCE you to retire once and for all! I'll END this, Shiana, for everything you've done to me, all the humiliation, all the frustration... you'll pay for every slight against me." Kaelara Sentarl "It's been a while since I've felt this way. Eager to get into the ring again, eager to challenge for a major prize. Two weeks from now, I'm stepping in against Alexandria Kirison... one of the toughest women ever to step into Phoenix Rising. The Women's Champion. The woman that ended my mother's reign and nearly made her quit altogether. She'll be watching, Alex, she'll be watching me take you on, and I'm going to make her proud, the same night she knocks Angel senseless. I'm going to leave Showdown #20 as Women's Champion. I'll stand at the top of the world. I'm not gonna back down for anything." Lance Marshall "Don't matter whether I got backup in two weeks or not. You ain't got any either. Just you and me, nothin' between us. No one to stand in the way. If it were anyone else standin' on the other side of that ring, I'd say we'd tear the damn house down, put on the best damn match of the night. But all I want is t' kick yer ass, Tasharun. And remind ya' why I throw the Demonkiller. Remind ya' who's always had yer number. I'll be waitin', Demon. This time, let's see if it sticks."

That main event was easily one of the best tag matches I've ever seen in Fire Pro. Perfectly paced, great spots, tremendous finish.

It's already time to look ahead to Proving Ground's big one. Episode 20. A simply massive two-week deal for both shows: Proving Ground's turn first, with all three titles on the line, and a few rivalries to be settled. Pre-Show: Donna Nobel vs. Sung Moon
Pre-Show: Gary Gear vs. Kevin Royce
Pre-Show: Anna Bryant vs. Katherine White
Victor Kintelas vs. Kellaron Sentarl: Loser is kicked out of Pure Gold
Candace Monroe vs. Ruthless Nicole Alger
Kyle Anderson vs. Todd Colton
Veronika Armstrong vs. Nicole Blade
Elly Blackwood vs. Avery Adonis Alexander
The Phantom Thief and Mascara Avispa vs. Pure Gold (Mallory/Kanjirin) for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championship
Cassie Rose vs. Rin Ryusaki for the Inspire Championship
Silver Hawk vs. Blake Dynamite for the Top Prospect Championship
Sung Moon faces a tough test in her second match, and will not only have to deal with Donna Nobel, but Nicole Blade's presence is almost a guarantee. Can the young Korean bounce back from her debut loss?
Time for the big men to come out and play, as Kevin Royce steps into the ring against the always-dangerous Gary Gear. It's the roided-up monster against the most hardcore powerhouse in Phoenix Rising.
Katherine White makes her debut, finally, and starts off against a fellow young rookie in Anna Bryant. But one thing is clear: Katherine doesn't want to start small. She wants Natasha Clover... and she may get her wish sooner rather than later.
Victor and Kellaron have their futures riding on this match. With Mallory Spaulding seizing control and leadership of Pure Gold, she's given an ultimatum: win, or be kicked out. The loser here will no longer be a part of the stable... and for Kellaron, who had the main hand in creating it, that may be unacceptable. He'll look to get himself on track again here, while Victor seeks to keep his momentum going after defeating Blake on Showdown.
Candace Monroe, unfortunately, couldn't come up with the championship opportunity she wanted so badly, falling short against Rin Ryusaki, twice in a row. Now, she wants to try and show that she's still capable... and for that, she'll step into the ring against her tag partner for the first time in Phoenix Rising, in what's certain to be one hell of a match. It only seems right that their first official meeting is at one of the biggest shows yet for Proving Ground.
Kyle Anderson and Team Proving Ground came up short for a shot at the tag titles... so now, he'll try to recapture some of his momentum as he takes on Todd Colton, who's been even more brash and insufferable as of late. Kyle seems to be setting up a few new tricks... so perhaps it's high time he put them to work.
Veronika Armstrong made a huge splash in her debut, wiping out Anari Lynn Heyward in a very impressive showing. Now she looks to take on another of Proving Ground's resident powerhouses in Nicole Blade... but just like Sung Moon, Veronika will have to deal with the presence of Donna Nobel at ringside.
Elly Blackwood faced Avery Adonis Alexander early in her career on Proving Ground... indeed, that match was TEN EPISODES ago, at Proving Ground #10, the night the Top Prospect was crowned! Now Elly steps into the ring with AAA again, to remind him just exactly what he's dealing with.
The wild team of the Phantom Thief and Mascara Avispa earned their shot at the tag team titles last week, and now get their shot at one of the most intimidating teams ever assembled on Proving Ground. It's two fast-paced juniors taking on two of the toughest, strongest wrestlers in Phoenix Rising... but could it be enough to claim the titles?
Cassie Rose brought a new look and a new attitude to play recently, and it seems to be paying off already. Crushing Sung Moon in the Korean's debut, she laid waste to seven other women in a battle royal to stand as the #1 contender... and now she gets her chance at Rin Ryusaki, looking to make the ninja's reign a short one.
Silver Hawk has gone from what seemed like a guaranteed lifetime in the midcard spot, to an absolute dynamo competing for the Top Prospect title. He's got his shot against Blake Dynamite here, and with Blake's struggles lately, could the longest active reign in Phoenix Rising finally come to an end?

Candace Monroe "Twentieth episode of Proving Ground, it had to be something big. I was determined to be part of something major, wanted to challenge for that prize, wanted a shot at becoming Inspire Champion... but, well, we saw how that went, and it wasn't gonna happen this time. It sucks. It's a rough feeling, not getting something you've worked so hard for because you stumbled right at the very end of the road.
But I'm not gonna go into this show without something big in my pocket. I've been waiting for the day we get this match... and I'll admit, I figured it'd be a bit longer before we finally did it. But now it really feels like it's the right time, Nicole. You and me. The Limbtakers squaring off properly, this time in Phoenix Rising... and you better believe that I'm gonna come away with the win this time. I'm not backing down... and you know, when the dust settles, when we're through this thing, the Limbtakers are gonna be ready to rock the tag division again and take down whoever happens to walk away with those titles. You know we're gonna tear the house down... there's no question about that. So you better bring your best, partner." Veronika Armstrong "So you're answering the call, Blade. Answering the challenge I gave you last week. You're already getting a sense of what I'm here to do: plow through the entire division, one by one, starting with the ones who think they're the biggest, the baddest, the toughest around. But you're not. Now that I'm here, that spot belongs to ME. And really, it's just a matter of time before I wreck everyone in my path: Anari, Blade, Rin Ryusaki, Cassie Rose... I'll roll as Inspire Champion before long, but I don't intend to stay here long.
No, I got other plans in mind. Every name around here is a stepping stone to what I want. Mercy Fucking Devine, you RAN AWAY to the big show the moment you heard I was coming up here, and you're not gonna get away from me that easily. There's a damn good reason I got a move called the Mercykiller... and I damn well intend to make use of it. So, Mercy, until the day I make my way up there to hunt you down, you better be watching EVERY DAMN WEEK... starting with this one as I wreck Nicole Blade... and you might get a glimpse of that move that bears your name, and anticipate the day it fuckin' ENDS YOU." The Phantom Thief <It's been a while since I've spoken my mind. Some time since I've really voiced anything, if I'm being perfectly honest. But this match means a lot. For all the time I've been in Phoenix Rising, for all the victories I've collected, the accolades I've acquired, a championship has yet to come my way... and now, I feel closer than ever before to claiming one alongside Mascara Avispa. This team has been everything I could've ever dreamed of... a man capable of incredible things, capable of taking on anyone and everyone that stands before him, no matter the threat, no matter the size. Pure Gold wants to claim dominion over Proving Ground, and we are here to put an end to that. One Change of Heart, and it all crashes down around you, Mallory... whether it be you, or Kanjirin that suffers it, makes no difference. Consider this your only warning: whether I change the heart of Pure Gold, or Avispa does his job instead... your time as champions comes to an end come Monday.> Cassie Rose "About high time I started gettin' myself on track. There was a long stretch where I didn't have anything goin' my way, didn't have any sign of bein' who I am. Ya' wouldn't recognize me as bein' Lance's little sister, 'cause he was ridin' high, and I was lookin' like a loser week after week... but I've found my own way, now. Figured out that I shouldn't be just tryin' to be him. I ain't just 'Lance's sister', I'm Cassandra Marshall, and I'm the woman that's gonna walk outta this show as the new Inspire Champion... cause Rin, I got nothin' against you, but that title's comin' home with me. Ain't no doubt about that."

Muscle Machines Gary Gear: We go again! We go again! Time to get a win! We go again! Yeah!
Adonis Avery Alexander: You nincompoop, would you keep it down over there? You don't need to shout some inane babble every single time you complete a clean.
Gear: You don't get it! We got a big time chance to step up here! I got a badass hardcore opponent in Royce, he's a perfect challenge, I win this, we move up! And you...wait, man, you're wrestling Elly again, you're gonna lose, ain't you?
AAA: Absurd. I will not lose this match. That's bullshit. I will not. Oh, hey, Gary. Didn't you lose about your last five singles matches?
Gear: Just wait, I'm gettin' bigger and stronger and more ripped and more juiced! It'll be a new Gary out there, Gary Gear 3.0!
AAA: And what exactly was 2.0? I see absolutely zero improvement in you from when you showed up in the Office.
Gear: Aw, come on, you don't think we racked up some wins with the Machines? Anyway, new Gary, big upgrade, get locked and loaded, yeah!
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: So we're back at this again, Candace. Last time we did this, I got you with the Ruthless Armripper, and we got a team. Far as I'm concerned, that was a win/win. At least for me, it was. I know you want to try to get a win back. But you know me. You know I'm not gonna make that easy. The thing people don't understand about us, unless they know is, is that we're friends, and we're rivals. Both, not one or the other. And we're friends because we're rivals. Because we're on the same wavelength. I want to be the best, you want to be the best. We both take pride in our style. We both take pride in our mentors, our lineage. I got my dad, you got Alex. We're able to shoot, we're able to wrestle, we like ripping limbs off. And I want to be better than you, you want to be better than me. We're cool with that.
RNA: Iron sharpens iron and all that, and only way that works is if the iron strikes the other iron. So we might look like we hate each other when we face off. But you know, and they should know, that we're taking each other to the brink and taking limbs, not out of hate, but out of that next level respect. So Candace, wanna get better? Come get some.

Just days away from the major show next Monday, Phoenix Rising held a house show up in Tacoma, Washington, almost to prepare for what will be a huge two weeks for the promotion. No footage was recorded, but results were taken... and some will have an actual impact in the near future. (Don't ask what the actual date for this show was. I don't really know for sure if I'm being honest. :P) The #1 contender to the Inspire Championship came roaring out of the gate to open the card, and took Nicole Blade to task. Cassie Rose looks every bit the threat to become Inspire Champion come Monday... does Rin really stand a chance of defending it? A tune-up match, perhaps, for Elly's upcoming match with AAA. She took the fight to Gear, didn't hesitate for a second, and seems primed to take out both of the Muscle Machines in a single week, now. While Veronika looked as impressive as ever, Allison Avery seems to have taken some level of offense to the brash Oakland native's attitude... it would seem this isn't going to be settled in just one matchup. Expect this to happen again soon. Binak Tonorian continues to look surprisingly vulnerable as of late, perhaps his age finally catching up... but he dispatched Telan Kintelas here in a rough match, showing he still has some level of spark left in him. She may not be challenging for the World Championship, but Anahera is still a very, very dangerous woman. Haruka Matsura couldn't keep up with her here, that's all there was to it. RNA perhaps isn't used to handling fast, high-flying types, and the Inspire Champion showed some fire in a big win. Rin will be hoping to keep this momentum going into her match with Cassie... while RNA will need to perhaps re-focus ahead of her faceoff with Candace Monroe. Blake's vulnerability going into Proving Ground #20 has never been clearer. While the match will still only be Silver Hawk vs. Blake, Avispa once again cements a claim to the Top Prospect Championship... if Silver Hawk comes out on top with the title, could a rematch between him and Avispa be in the cards? A rough night for champions, it seems, as Alex took a surprising loss to Xiu Mei Li. A wild night for the Rising Storm, whose stock has been dropping slightly... but on their own, could they become a force to be reckoned with again? Xiu's certainly earned herself a Women's Championship opportunity in the near future... Kantar's a tough man. Powerful, dangerous. But Urani is the World Champion for a reason, and she wasn't about to drop this one just a week and a half ahead of a vitally important defense against the Black Dragon. A great crowd-pleasing 6-person tag match. Firehawk teaming up with his wife for the first time in quite a while, as well as his champion partner, taking on the team that couldn't secure the shot against them for the titles... and of course, Angel Leblanc. This could've easily been LBB in its entirety instead, but it was decided this would be the more balanced matchup to finish the show, and that they'd save the Blondes for the actual championship matchup. Ril was the workhorse for her team, but Firehawk would end up scoring the victory in the end, taking out his long-standing rival for yet another win in their seemingly eternal feud. I figured I'd run this sort of thing every so often. Partly to test out matchups, partly to see who's on their way up. Xiu earning a shot at the Women's Championship comes as a surprise, but should be a very, very fun time, and there's a few other interesting things to come out of this little experiment.

This week's show may be pushed up to Sunday, or it may be delayed to Wednesday. Scheduling conflicts came up very unexpectedly, to my frustration, and there's no way I'll be able to run the show on Monday unless something changes in the next two days.
I'll have an update as soon as I can.

So, probably the best way to handle this situation is just to run a night early. I'd much rather go one night early than two days late (possibly three depending on how I felt Wednesday tbh). So, Sunday night, 7 PM Pacific.
It's annoying, but that's the way it is sometimes.
If anything comes up before the show tomorrow I'll try to let everyone know about it, but I don't think we'll have a problem.

The payoff show finally arrived, and it paid off, -quite- a bit. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/325867288Youtube: youtu.be/L21bkQHswVgQuick Results Sung Moon def. Donna Nobel Gary Gear def. Kevin Royce Anna Bryant def. Katherine White
Victor Kintelas def. Kellaron Sentarl Candace Monroe def. Nicole Alger Kyle Anderson def. Todd Colton Nicole Blade def. Veronika Armstrong Elly Blackwood def. Avery Adonis Alexander Pure Gold def. Thief/Avispa to retain the Proving Ground Tag Team Championship Cassie Rose def. Rin Ryusaki to become NEW Inspire Champion Silver Hawk def. Blake Dynamite to become NEW Top Prospect Champion Write-ups A solid showcase for the Korean rookie, picking up her first win in Phoenix Rising against a tough foe in Donna Nobel. This one was tough and easily could've swung either way. Good old-fashioned hoss-off. Kevin Royce came out of the gate strong, intent on putting Gear away quickly, but the roided-up monster wouldn't stay down, and steadily fought his way back into the match, planting Royce with back-to-back bombs and taking the match... albeit, not without HEAVY interference from AAA. A solid debut for the young rookie, but Katherine White couldn't keep pace with Anna Bryant, despite landing many of her signature spots. It's going to take more than fancy moves for Katherine to find a foothold on Proving Ground... but she certainly seems eager to keep at it. A wild match, back-and-forth that seemed to have everything riding on it. Victor was the more determined of the two tonight, however, and broke out Patricide for the first time in a while... and finally put Kellaron away with it. Still... does it really end here? A match COMPLETELY shit on by the in-game ratings and basically telling me that they are utterly worthless in every way. This one was intense, the partners trying to outdo each other with their signature offense, but it was Candace that'd finally walk away with the win after a sharp flying kick, evening the score between the friendly rivals. Kyle Anderson is back to his winning ways, taking out Todd Colton in a hard-fought match that was one of the highlights of the show. He'll be looking to keep that momentum going, for once... with a guest appearance in PEWA coming soon, he'll need it. A remarkably impressive showing from Nicole Blade, who brought Veronika down to earth after a huge debut. Nicole wasn't about to back down, and put Veronika through her paces, finally laying the Oakland native out with the Blade's Edge, and reminding her that her claim as the strongest woman on Proving Ground wasn't just bluffing. AAA gave this one his all, looking to avenge the defeat to Elly all those months ago... but even with Gary Gear trying to help (in his own, often misguided way), Elly finally came out ahead... a Pinnacle Dropkick led to AAA trying to cover, only for Elly to easily get a foot on the ropes, before coming right back with a Brainbuster to finish the job, and giving Elly another impressive victory. The tag match was the shortest of the night, but had quite the interesting story behind it regardless. Kanjirin absolutely obliterated the Phantom Thief with a Jackhammer (leading to only a minor concussion, luckily...), but in the meantime, Mallory Spaulding couldn't find her gear to match her partner! Forced to use some backup gear, it's not entirely clear yet what exactly happened there... but the champions retained, in dominant (albeit lucky) fashion. Nothing short of pure dominance from the new and improved Cassie Rose. It's tough to call her Lance's little sister anymore... she's come into her own, and claims the Inspire Championship in a wildly impressive showing that leaves Rin back on the outside looking in. The longest championship reign in Phoenix Rising finally comes to an end. Silver Hawk repeated his incredible performance from a few weeks ago, and claimed the Top Prospect Championship, finally dethroning Blake Dynamite, and thus becoming only the second person ever to hold the title. What's next for Blake? Likely a spot on the main roster full-time... Promo Time Candace Monroe "Told you I'd even the score sooner or later, Nicole. Gotta admit that feels pretty good... but now we've got that out of our systems again, it's time to get back to what we do best, as the Limbtakers. I'm lookin' forward to teamin' back up again soon." Kellaron Sentarl Kellaron's leaning on an empty locker, looking down at the floor. "So, that's it, huh? The group I brought together, seized by a power-hungry bitch who thinks she knows better than everyone around her. Thinks she can call the shots. Thinks she can push us around. Yeah, that's right, US." Kellaron pushes off from the locker... the camera zooms out to reveal Victor Kintelas nearby. "The hell did you think this was going to accomplish, Mallory... that we'd be so desperate to keep following you around like Kanjirin does? Tagging along behind the great Madame Spaulding like lovesick puppies? You've been trying to screw us over from day one, and this is an opportunity... not for you, but for us."
Victor steps forward, Kellaron backing off. "You tried to play us against each other. Tried to galvanize yourselves as a trio, and instead, you've left yourself with only your boy-toy at your side. You never try to play a Kintelas, Mallory... my family WROTE THE DAMN BOOK on manipulation around here! My father is a MASTER of playing every angle of a situation, and you think I couldn't see right through you? The only thing that's going to happen from this is you losing both of us... thanks to your greed, to your lust for power, to your absolute devotion to getting as many people following you as possible. I don't follow, Mallory..."
"Fact is, you tried to make us look like idiots." Kellaron has a smirk on his face. "The only one looking like an idiot tonight is you... what did happen to your gear, anyway? Hell if I know, really. I sure as hell don't know anything about it, but you sure stood out tonight, huh?"
"Couldn't tell you what might've happened there." Victor shrugged. "But the fact is... you don't get what you want out of this. You don't get to keep one of us for yourself. All you've done is made two enemies you DON'T want against you. You've been warned."

Hey look it's time for the card for Showdown #20 to go up, what do we have in store for the BIG ONE?
Pre-Show: Kantar vs. Binak Tonorian
Pre-Show: Silver Hawk vs. Rey de la Carne
Pre-Show: Haruka Matsura vs. Sophia Moretti
Besos vs. Hypnosia
The Rising Storm vs. Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright
Eri Sentarl vs. Fenix Oscuro
Tasharun vs. Lance Marshall
Angel Leblanc vs. Shiana Sentarl
Les Beautes Blondes (Michelle/Elise) vs. Firehawk Sentarl and Rilantha De Nav for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championship
Kaelara Sentarl vs. Alexandria Kirison for the Phoenix Rising Women's Championship
The Black Dragon vs. Urani Whitemist for the Phoenix Rising World Championship
With Lance Marshall taking on the Demon, Binak Tonorian sets his sights on the tag-along... does Kantar have remotely what it takes to handle the giant?
The brand-new Top Prospect gets his first showcase as he squares off with Rey de la Carne... can he keep the momentum going and take out the man that's driven half the Showdown roster crazy with his antics?
Former partners turned enemies, Sophia Moretti and Haruka Matsura are set to clash once again, and this time Sophia seems more than determined to prove herself against the woman who stabbed her in the back. But with Haruka still as dangerous as ever, can Sophia really step up?
Fenix Oscuro didn't hesitate to bring backup into the situation when Eri Sentarl got involved in her match against Besos... and brought in Besos's fiercest rival in Hypnosia. Now the two are set to face off just two weeks after a tag match that involved both feuding pairs... Besos will have to bring her best in this one if she wants to take down the Naga Queen.
It's been a difficult stretch for Anahera. Losing the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships to Firehawk and Ril, losing the CAWF Women's Championship just days ago to Elise Pichon... and losing her chance to face Urani Whitemist for the World Championship. The Rising Storm looks to get back on track against Kileas and Winifred, but can they really bounce back from such a horrific run of bad luck?
The wait is over, and Eri Sentarl will finally step into the ring one-on-one with Fenix Oscuro. This rivalry has been brewing for weeks now, and although the two faced each other in tag action last week, now they'll finally get each other with nothing to stand between them... but does Eri have what it takes to silence the luchadora that's been haunting her for weeks?
Lance Marshall has held one thing over Tasharun's head for months: he is the man that ended the initial World Championship reign of the Demon, he is the man that's always had Tasharun's number, and he looks to repeat that one more time here, having already forced Tasharun to submit last week in the tag match! With nothing on the line but pride, Tasharun will have to get his head on straight to have any hope of bringing down the Texan this time...
Angel Leblanc, for whatever reason, has been hounding Shiana Sentarl about her future. Demanding an answer as to whether Shiana was retiring or not, she finally got her answer as the Queen made her return last week, leading to a vicious brawl between the two. Now they'll face off in Shiana's return to the ring, after weeks of silence from the former Women's Champion.
Les Beautes Blondes scored a stunning upset victory over Kileas and Winifred last week to earn a Tag Team Championship opportunity... but against the new champions, a team that's thus far undefeated, can Michelle Rochefort and Elise Pichon really do what the Rising Storm and so many other teams so far have failed to do?
Kaelara Sentarl is starting to look like the future champion that everyone believes she can be... but challenging Alexandria Kirison is a tough proposition for even the best in the world. Alex won't go without a fight... and the Greek could easily prove too much for the youngest of the Sentarl family.
Urani Whitemist has waited for this moment: a challenger perhaps capable of truly testing her. The Black Dragon is one of the very few people who's managed to defeat Urani since she became World Champion, and now she'll look for the chance to claim the title she couldn't while Lance held it... can the Dragon repeat her impressive performance against Urani, or will she be denied once again?

Eri Sentarl "There's only one way this ends, Oscuro. We finally get this chance... with nothing between us, with nobody to get in the way, and you can finally back up all the threats you've made. Maybe you can. Maybe you've got what it takes to prove you're as dangerous as you say you are. But for me, that's not what this is about. It's not about proving whether you're a threat, not about proving whether you're a danger to me, or my family, or my friends. When this match is over, win or lose, I'm going to show you beyond any doubt that I'm never going to back down, that I'm never going to let you screw with my head, that I'm never going to let you have your way without the fight of your life." Fenix Oscuro <Win or lose, you said. You think you can settle this even if you lose? You act as though this will be just another match, just another opponent for you to try and overcome. Do you think I'll be content with just beating you, Eri? Hardly. By the time it's all over, you'll either stand triumphant, or you'll lie broken at my feet. I will not stop until that moment. I will not rest until I've taken everything from you. Friends, family, your very career... and if I have to break your body to break your spirit, then that is exactly what I'll do. You had better begin to see this as a fight for your life, Eri... because that's what it's going to become.> more to come later when my mind decides to start working again
