Firehawk Sentarl"I've been thinking a lot about what's coming up next month. About the Grand Ascension, the tradition it's become, the people it's elevated. To enter the Ascension is a big deal... a chance to potentially fight for the World Championship, a title that's only been held by nine people over Phoenix Rising's history.
That brings me to this next Showdown. I've invited six of those former champions... six of the best there is, along with myself and Kileas, for one single purpose: to fight for a place in the Ascension. An eight-way battle royal, for a spot in Block A.
It was easy to narrow the field to those six names: Mascara Avispa has no need to enter a tournament when he's already the reigning World Champion. My daughter, Eri Sentarl, has already declared her focus for the foreseeable future: she intends to win the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships, and she'll have her opportunity during the tournament next month, when she teams up with Chichi against the Malevolent Triad. And the third name missing: Lance Marshall, who represents his own company, American Frontier Wrestling.
Those of you paying close attention will know exactly who's involved in this battle royal now. Many of the names will come as no surprise, impossible to question. But yes... I'm willing to step into the ring against my greatest enemies, my fiercest rivals, those who would see me torn down.
At Showdown, we'll fight to the bitter end for a chance in the Ascension. And nobody can say who will come out on top. But I have absolutely no intentions of coming up short. We'll see two of those spots determined on Monday night, as Kellaron Sentarl and Angela Rothenberg, both on hot streaks, will look for their shot with a victory. The reigning tag team champions, the Malevolent Triad, will defend their titles against Eri Sentarl and Chichi during the Grand Ascension, on a night yet to be determined. For now, they'll face off in singles action: Chichi squaring off with the dangerous leader of the Triad, Fenix Oscuro, while Eri will step into the ring against the mysterious and deadly Selisha. Kojiro Burai's unbelievable run as Pacific Northwest Champion continues with a defense against Besos... can Kojiro's violent, hard-hitting style overcome the Luchadora of Love and continue his reign as one of the most dominant champions in Phoenix Rising's history?
