It rolls along with Proving Ground tomorrow night, with three more Top Prospect qualifiers and the remainder of the Inspire tournament quarterfinals. Proving Ground Episode 88 Rin Ryusaki vs. Jessika Boom
White Hot vs. The Bryant Sisters
The Everyman vs. Arthur Wright, Top Prospect Qualifier
Felice Santana vs. La Corsaria, Inspire Contender's Tournament Quarterfinal
The Gallego Twins vs. The Golden Ambush
Drake Elliott IV vs. Akira Ryusaki, Top Prospect Qualifier
Fresh Suzuki vs. Calista Vargas, Inspire Contender's Tournament Quarterfinal
La Familia vs. The Excellent Blades
Kaito Arai vs. HAYATO, Top Prospect Qualifier Kicking off the night will be a high-speed matchup between two of Proving Ground's best in the Inspire division: Rin Ryusaki taking on Jessika Boom. With Jessika potentially moving up to Showdown for the new year to join her idol, Blake Dynamite, could this be the last chance we get to see Jessika going top-speed with an equally wild opponent? You're not seeing things: this match will see Melody Bryant making her Proving Ground debut, though not the debut of the Bryant Sisters, who we saw last Valkyrie Pro. Make no mistake, despite Melody's relative inexperience, she's been an incredible Academy talent, and alongside Anna, there might not be anything they can't accomplish... but White Hot stands in their way, desperate for a victory to come out of a brutal slide. The first qualifier of the night will see TIPWF's Everyman stepping into the ring with Arthur Wright, as the Texas fed seeks to get a second man into the eventual #1 contender's battle royal. With 4-H already winning his qualifier, could Everyman stack the odds a bit more? The third quarterfinal of the Inspire tournament will be another test of pure, raw speed. Felice Santana is easily one of the fastest, most agile women Proving Ground's ever seen, but against the dirty pirate tactics that Corsaria employs, will it be enough? Two teams reeling slightly from recent struggles... the Gallego Twins are looking to get back on top and set their sights on the Proving Ground tag titles, while the Golden Ambush are trying to shrug off a brutal defeat at the hands of the current champions, the Excellent Blades. This time, it seems the Ambush will likely field its usual duo of Tiger and Tigress... The second qualifier of the night sees Akira Ryusaki up against some seriously dangerous technical prowess. Drake Elliott IV has displayed his incredible talent in multiple feds to date, and now Proving Ground will get to witness his technique, as Akira tries to hold out and earn his way into the battle royal. Yet another match set to be absolutely electric: Fresh Suzuki, in search of another shot at the Inspire Championship in the hopes of becoming the first-ever two-time champion, taking on Calista Vargas, still hunting for the shot that she knows she's more than capable of claiming. Two agile, but devastating talents... maybe the highlight of the entire tournament here in the quarterfinals. The Excellent Blades face another tremendous challenge here, as they set their sights on La Familia, who scored the biggest win in tag action last episode. A win for Chico and Rey here would set the stage for a massive clash at New Year's Bash, and a chance to become the first-ever two-time Proving Ground Tag Team Champions. Before, when this match was first set up, HAYATO knew he'd have a tall order in taking down the man who went undefeated in the blocks of the Grand Ascension. Despite a loss to Jerome Harris in the finals, Kaito Arai bounced back almost immediately, going the distance against a World Champion in Candace Monroe on last week's Showdown... and then coming back home to Sakura Pro, where he took down the nigh-unstoppable Doctor Q to claim the Golden Blossom Championship. So now, not only is HAYATO going up against a man who swept aside seven different opponents over the course of last month, he's facing a man who's stared down two World Champion-level talents in the span of one week... and become one himself. Will we see Kaito preparing to take another piece of gold for his burgeoning collection?

And we're down to just a few more matches to decide the big ones. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1213495865Youtube: youtu.be/KtZiIZPZ69AQuick Results Rin Ryusaki def. Jessika Boom White Hot def. The Bryant Sisters The Everyman def. Arthur Wright Felice Santana def. La Corsaria The Gallego Twins def. The Golden Ambush Akira Ryusaki def. Drake Elliott IV Fresh Suzuki def. Calista Vargas The Excellent Blades def. La Familia Kaito Arai def. HAYATO Write-ups What more can one expect from two of Proving Ground's top flyers? Rin and Jessika opened the show in style, but Rin came out ahead on what proved to be an incredible night for Winter Fresh, giving the trio tremendous momentum going into their Trios Championship defense next week. White Hot finally picked up a much-needed win after weeks of frustration, and it came via pinning a former Inspire Champion, no less. This was probably the single most impressive match White Hot's had in a very long time, with Rei Hasegawa in particular showing unbelievable improvement, and she'd score the pin on Anna Bryant, spoiling Melody's Proving Ground debut. It took a hell of a lot to get there, but the Everyman is nothing if not consistent. Much of this match was spent trying to get to his primary submission, but Arthur fended off the move from the mat on five different occasions... the one that succeeded, however, came from a different setup, and the Everyman got the submission victory to advance to the battle royal. Straight to the point, Felice Santana was electric against La Corsaria, not letting the pirate's dirty tactics get to her en route to landing the Santana Sky. Felice might be on the verge of something huge as she advances to the semifinals... could this be her moment? The Gallego Twins continue to stay on track. Every loss they suffer seems to be answered by a win almost immediately, and here they sent the Golden Ambush packing, staying firmly in control and hunting for a shot at the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships. Both of these men brought their best to the ring. We finally got a look at Drake Elliott IV in a Phoenix Rising ring, and he did not disappoint, displaying the unmatched technical prowess that we've seen elsewhere. And yet, somehow, Akira Ryusaki managed to overcome it, enduring the legwork, the Ankle Locks, the endless matwork, to lock in his Regal Stretch and take the victory, the second for Winter Fresh on the night. Calista Vargas seemed to know she had to work fast against Fresh Suzuki. Even the slightest hint of holding anything back would spell disaster, and she hit a Stormbreaker very early into this one. It didn't get the job done. Fresh came roaring right back into the fight, and completed a 3-0 sweep for Winter Fresh on the night, landing the Fresh 0-5-4 in a huge victory that sends her to the semifinals, continuing her hunt to become the first-ever two-time Inspire Champion. Standing in her way next: Felice Santana. Ever since winning the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships, the Excellent Blades have looked like a brand-new team. That was on display right here, as the Blades were perhaps better than we've ever seen them, working with flawless teamwork. And while La Familia didn't exactly roll over in defeat, Nicole Blade finished things off with a brutal Full Nelson on Chico, one she held for a good while to force the submission. Simply put, Kaito Arai is on another level. The only losses he's suffered lately have been to what can easily be called "Big Names", that'd be Jerome Harris and Candace Monroe. Outside of that? He's been unstoppable, and this match capped off maybe one of the most insane weeks that anyone's had in a long time: his incredible showing against World Champion Candace Monroe, his Golden Blossom victory over Doctor Q, and this outright dominant showing against HAYATO to enter the Top Prospect battle royal. While anything can happen when you throw eight men into the ring at the same time, Kaito just might be the man to beat in that setting.

Small update: I don't think we'll be doing Evergreen on Thursday because Thanksgiving and I probably won't be at home.
I'll get the Evergreen card posted tomorrow but we'll probably run it on Saturday.

While we won't run on Thursday as usual, Saturday nevertheless brings a wild night from the hardcore crew. Evergreen Federation Wrestling Episode 50 Trinity Knight vs. Iris Coleman
Julian Shepard and the Phantom Thief vs. El Verde
Rachel White vs. Rebecca Andrews
Sabrina vs. Ash Defiant
The Sheridan Brothers vs. Kantar and Kroll
Ashton Crowe vs. Skidmark
Sanya Markov vs. Concrete Pete
eMo (Sookie/Eddy) vs. Oakland's Most Metal (Veronika/Sayaka)
KyO vs. Jennifer Hunter for the Evergreen Championship We've had a solid feeling for a while now that Trinity Knight might end up signing with Evergreen, and we have our confirmation here: the Academy star has already made a name for herself in Butterfloor as of late, and now, she'll debut in Evergreen against fellow Academy graduate Iris Coleman. Julian and the Phantom Thief have struck up something of an odd partnership the last few months, and it seems like they're intent on continuing it... though against one of the top teams in Evergreen in El Verde, do they really have what it takes? Evergringo, coming off of his Grand Ascension run (where he fared reasonably well, all things considered) will be looking to throw himself right back into tag title contention alongside Verde... Rachel White's Phoenix Rising tenure was... spotty, on her best days. While she did hold the Pacific Northwest Championship on one occasion, by and large her time with the fed was simply just unsuccessful, and that's being charitable. A change of scenery might be what she needs at this stage... and Rebecca Andrews is sure to welcome her as only Evergreen could. Sabrina has her eyes on the Evergreen Championship again, and while her tag team partner is the one getting the shot this month, she could easily leverage her recent successes into her own opportunity... if she can beat Ash Defiant. And with the way Ash has plowed through her competition as of late, that's certainly no guarantee. Regardless of who's champion going into New Year's Bash, they could find themselves in a serious fight just to keep their title into the new year... The Sheridan Brothers might have pissed off the wrong people somewhere along the way. With Tasharun conspicuously absent, Kantar instead steps into the ring alongside Valkyrie Pro's Kroll, who's quickly establishing herself as a proper member of the Evergreen roster... and the devastating team might just obliterate the Sheridans. We can but hope. Ashton Crowe picked up his first Evergreen victory last time out, by absolutely wiping the floor with the Phantom Thief. Now, he's got his sights on bigger and badder fare... though Skidmark might just be a bit much, in the end. It's not going to be an easy match here for the Australian... but he'll be out to try and give Oakland's Most Metal a winning record on the night. We've seen rumblings of this match gearing up for a good while now, after Pete and Sanya crossed paths in Butterfloor's recent tag tournament. Now, on Pete's home turf, the Russian powerhouse and Top Prospect Champion will look to knock the brash Pittsburgh Big Boy down a notch... Simply put, this is a definite #1 contender's match for the Evergreen tag titles, still held by the crushingly dominant Argent and Binak Tonorian. eMo is out to get a third reign for their group, and they're taking no chances: Sookie and Eddy, the leaders, will step forward in the hopes of dropping Veronika Armstrong and Sayaka Saito. Capping off the night will be an Evergreen Championship defense, which will see Jennifer Hunter defending against the surging KyO, who's been a force in Evergreen from the day he arrived. He's on a hot streak as of late... but will he be able to translate that into a championship victory?

Saturday shows are still weird. Don't like doing them much, but this one was good. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1218065765Youtube: youtu.be/gDtubD0uMN8Quick Results Iris Coleman def. Trinity Knight Julian Shepard and The Phantom Thief def. El Verde Rebecca Andrews def. Rachel White Ash Defiant def. Sabrina The Sheridan Brothers def. Kantar and Kroll Skidmark def. Ashton Crowe Concrete Pete def. Sanya Markov Veronika Armstrong and Sayaka Saito def. eMo KyO def. Jennifer Hunter to become the NEW Evergreen Champion
Bonus: The Big Boys chased down a turkey. No really. Freya O'Malley def. Mercy Devine Write-ups There's only one way Trinity Knight's Evergreen debut could've gone better: if she'd pulled off the win. As it was, Trinity and Iris Coleman had what was easily the match of the night, immediately stealing the show right from the beginning. This match was absolutely tremendous... violent, competitive, and displayed Trinity's unreal aptitude for the Evergreen style. No doubt once she's found her footing, she'll be an absolute terror on the roster. On a night of upsets, this wound up feeling like the harbinger of something weird. Julian Shepard and the Phantom Thief, starting to go by the moniker of the Evergreen Misfits (along with Iris Coleman), pulled off a remarkably impressive victory here in taking down El Verde, and might just find themselves in the hunt for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships... not that that's a great prize, considering who still holds the titles. Welp. Welcome to Evergreen, Rachel White. A disastrous debut that left the newcomer laid out from the Go To Sleep. Rebecca Andrews clearly had no intention of ever letting it turn out otherwise. Outclassed, outgunned. Ash Defiant is making a case to be the next in line for the Evergreen Championship, and this destruction of Sabrina easily gets her one step closer to that goal. Look, if the Sheridans wind up somewhere in a broken heap because of this match, I didn't have anything to do with it. Ashton Crowe did a fine job here, but Skidmark was not to be denied, bringing his usual brand of brawling and violence to pull out the victory, and giving the Big Boys (and the greater BEC) yet another huge night. This could be the single most dominant stable in the wrestling world today. No, seriously. Most dominant stable running. Concrete Pete did not give a single inch to Top Prospect Sanya Markov, and it's probably a damn good thing that Pete's got no interest in taking his title, because god knows he could do it whenever he wanted, the way things are looking right now. As it stands, Pete might be looking over towards the Evergreen Championship, just to add to his collection of gold. And butter. Sayaka Saito had absolutely zero interest in making this competitive, and simply dumped Sookie on her head with a Fisherman DDT for a brutal KO victory. With the Sheridans probably on the run from a vengeful Evergreen roster (they're probably halfway back to Anaheim by now), it's likely that Oakland's Most Metal and the Misfits are going to fight over who gets to challenge the reigning champions... After the incredible path Jennifer Hunter took to win the Evergreen Championship, KyO stepped up to bring her back down to earth. This might have been one of the biggest upsets of the night, if not for the fact that KyO can never, ever be underestimated... picking up the win with an incredible offensive flurry, and becoming the new Evergreen Champion. And then some idiot in a turkey suit ran down, being pursued by the Big Boys, and this went on for about twenty minutes before said turkey fled for his life. It was probably Vincent Sheridan but nobody can confirm these accusations. Finally, to close out the night, Freya O'Malley squared off with Mercy Devine, and the two had a vicious, violent brawl to wrap things up, with Freya picking up the win after a thunderous chairshot out of the corner. Cut and dry, simple as that... Freya's back on top of her game.

Saturday streams mean I have very little prep time ahead of Monday but anyway, here we go. Showdown Episode 88 Titania vs. La Relampaga
The Dynawasps vs. The Malevolent Triad (Haruka/Selisha)
Telan Kintelas vs. Kyle Anderson
Kanjirin Tonorian vs. Kellaron Sentarl
The Heyward Sisters vs. Silver and Black Attack, #1 contender's match
Kojiro Burai vs. Markos Andreas
Hugo Dirksen vs. Victor Kintelas for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Les Beautes Blondes vs. Winter Fresh for the Phoenix Rising Trios Championships
Candace Monroe vs. Todd Colton Titania makes the jump from Proving Ground, and right out of the gate she's stepping in against the exact sort of opponent she's been known for facing on that show. Relampaga is fast, crafty and dangerous, but Titania is nothing short of a wrecking ball when she gets moving... and no doubt, she's looking for a big win to mark her Showdown debut, and wipe away the memory of a disastrous tag tournament. The Dynawasps shockingly came up short against the Heyward Sisters last Showdown, and now, they're looking for redemption against the Malevolent Triad, once again consisting of Haruka Matsura and Selisha. Oscuro, as seems to be typical lately, will stand aside for her teammates... but what is going through the mind of the Dark Phoenix? Telan Kintelas isn't eager to wait for his shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship. Well out of the top 5, he's nevertheless issued a direct challenge to Pure Gold's Kyle Anderson... and Anderson, coming off of a wild, highly-acclaimed match with Felix Santana Jr., quickly accepted, putting his own championship match (set to take place at episode 89) on the line... Kanjirin Tonorian is... less than pleased with the way things have gone lately. Kojiro Burai's debut was spoiled by Kellaron Sentarl... Pure Gold lost their shot at the Trios Championships to Les Beautes Blondes... and not to mention Candace Monroe walking around with the World Championship that should still be Kanjirin's, at least in his eyes. He'll aim to vent all of these frustrations and more on an old, old rival... as Kellaron once again stands in the way of Pure Gold, a stable he once helped found. The Heyward Sisters scored a tremendous victory last episode against the Dynawasps, and set the stage for a huge opportunity... but if they want a shot at the GOAT and the Tag Team Championships, they'll have to beat a team that's held those championships twice before. Kileas and Winifred proved they're back to stay with a dominant victory over Markos Andreas and Alexandria Kirison, and they've got their eye on those titles... though perhaps mainly to get in the ring with Victor Kintelas, to settle another score. Kojiro Burai's official debut was... less than he would've wanted, a defeat at the hands of Kellaron Sentarl. He'll come back to try and find his first "official" victory against Markos Andreas, who's still reeling from getting wiped out by Kileas and Winifred... Hugo Dirksen has yet to hold a championship in his career, despite some very impressive accomplishments. But here, he'll finally have his chance to shine... can he take down Victor Kintelas and claim the Pacific Northwest Championship, or will Victor stand tall once again... and perhaps set the stage for a Kintelas civil war? Les Beautes Blondes have always believed they're nothing short of the greatest stable of all time. A win over Pure Gold last Showdown has put them in line for a shot at the Trios Championships... and so far, it's unclear just which trio will step up against the Winter Fresh trio of Fresh Suzuki, Rin Ryusaki, and Akira Ryusaki. Candace Monroe seems... perhaps "detached" from all the personal vendettas being acted upon over the past month, with her focus firmly on the World Championship, and whatever opponent stands in front of her from week to week. And this week, it's Todd Colton... who's announced that it'll be his final Showdown match. No doubt everyone will want to stay tuned to this one... it seems Todd has a future in mind.

This was a night that set the stage for what could prove to be a very, very bad time for Showdown... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1219892267Youtube: youtu.be/mx8Yfnvz9cwQuick Results Titania def. La Relampaga The Malevolent Triad def. The Dynawasps Telan Kintelas def. Kyle Anderson Kellaron Sentarl def. Kanjirin Tonorian Silver and Black Attack def. The Heyward Sisters Kojiro Burai def. Markos Andreas Victor Kintelas def. Hugo Dirksen to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Winter Fresh def. Les Beautes Blondes to retain the Phoenix Rising Trios Championship Todd Colton def. Candace Monroe Bonus: Binak Tonorian, Argent, Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk def. The Sheridan Brothers (eventually) Write-ups Before we even got started, we had a glimpse backstage, a gathering of the Kintelas Family an hour before the show began. Kileas issued an ultimatum towards Firehawk Sentarl... demanding his total surrender, and to make it clear how serious this demand was, he introduced the fourth member of the Family... making Titania an honorary Kintelas ahead of her Showdown debut. How did that debut go? Well, to put it lightly, Titania looked like an absolute monster, crushing La Relampaga with a trio of Titanic Bombs. This seemed to be a harbinger of what was to come... Another strong showing from the Dynawasps, but still short in the end against the Malevolent Triad, who looked perhaps better than ever. Both Haruka and Selisha did tremendous work in wearing down their opponents, and finally, Haruka landed Death From Above to score the victory. Telan Kintelas issued this challenge with the full intention of leapfrogging the Pacific Northwest rankings and earning a shot at the title immediately on the next Showdown. And while Kyle Anderson fought hard, bringing his usual strategy to bear, Telan's raw power finally overcame Kyle's technique, landing a vicious snap powerbomb to take the win, and set the stage for a shot at the championship in two weeks. Kellaron Sentarl remains a thorn in the side of Pure Gold. Having beaten Kojiro Burai in his debut already, Kellaron was quickly challenged by Kanjirin Tonorian, who took great offense to Kellaron's constant hindering of Pure Gold and its goals... only for Kellaron to beat him, as well! Kellaron also picked up the win with his new Crimson Flare finisher, for the first time... and it's quickly looking like Kellaron might finally be having his breakout moment. There might not be any force in the world that can stop these two. Kileas and Winifred are two-time Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions, and as dominant as they've looked after returning to active competition as a team, there may just be a third reign in their near future. The Heywards gave this their all, but simply couldn't stop the veteran duo. Markos Andreas is quickly making himself a pain in the ass for anyone seeking a win over him. The match went in Kojiro's favor very quickly at the beginning, but Markos battled back, making life difficult and ultimately, nearly taking the win before Kojiro managed to trap him in a submission almost out of desperation. Victor knew who the next challenger for the Pacific Northwest Championship was going to be... and he wasn't about to let Hugo Dirksen deny him that match. Simply put, this one was pretty much all Victor, as while Hugo gave it a decent fight, the outcome never really seemed to be in doubt... and Victor might be on a roll towards one hell of a championship reign, if he can get past his uncle Telan. The undoing of Les Beautes Blondes in this match was primarily on the outside. Michelle Rochefort wound up surrounded by Winter Fresh, and by the time she managed to get back in the ring, Fresh Suzuki would land her 0-5-4 and score a shockingly early victory. Never doubt the skills of Winter Fresh, certainly not in defense of the Trios Championships. If Todd Colton really has decided to leave Showdown, he certainly leaves on a high note, perhaps making a statement on the way out the door. A win over the World Champion may not directly lead to him challenging for it if he's changing feds, but he absolutely reminded the world that his boasts about being the World's Greatest Technician, while exaggerated to some extent, have at least some basis in reality. Mercy Devine called in a favor to Showdown management. To ensure things went as she saw fit, she sent the Evergreen Tag Team Champions over... and Showdown added Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk to the mix, sending this frightening team up against a very, very deserving duo in the Sheridan Brothers. No doubt Blake Dynamite is slightly annoyed that he didn't get to have a shot at his wayward brothers, but Silver Hawk certainly distinguished himself here, getting the second and final fall with the Silver Star Press. Now if it hadn't taken damn near 40 minutes to get there...

Two cards for the price of one today, with AFW running early this month (as will basically everything on Thursdays because of weird scheduling SHENANIGANS), and the Proving Ground card is also set, so y'know. Have that, too. American Frontier Wrestling Episode 13 Hikari Ueno vs. Sung Moon
The Rising Storm vs. The Foundation
Dominic Stanton vs. Nathan Haines
Maya Minh Sai vs. Georgia Eagles
Mason Hayes and Allison Avery vs. A Mystery Tag Team
Carmen Latour vs. Riley Montgomery
Ian Robinson vs. Laura Tate
The Marshall Sisters vs. Lexi Dawson and Nana Yoon
Jackson Shaw vs. Lance Marshall After a very... uneventful Proving Ground tenure that saw her in very little action, Hikari Ueno arrives on a roster that should give her a fair bit more breathing room, and some better matchups. Her first opponent will be fellow Academy graduate Sung Moon, meaning she's going to need to bring her best in her first match back in some time. The Rising Storm seems to have settled on their decision, and now find themselves in AFW in search of the AFW Tag Team Championships. The Foundation, fresh off of coming up short in pursuit of those same titles, have an eye on reminding the Houston crew that they've become one of the best tag teams in AFW's first year, and the Storm will be pressed in this one, no doubt. Nathan Haines will fly solo again this month, as Ryan Donovan prepares for his New Year's Bash championship defense against Manny Ramos. Haines squares off with Dominic Stanton, who's in serious need of a solid victory... but Haines has been a force, and it won't be so easy to get through him. Maya Minh Sai has often let her attitude get the better of her, and now it seems like she's drawn the attention of one Georgia Eagles. Georgia's reputation precedes her: incredible power and a penchant for spectacular finishes, and Maya may wind up humbled yet again here. Who are Mason Hayes and Allison Avery set to take on? Nobody's been told, nobody's even gotten a hint of just what's on the way. How do you prepare for a match where you don't know who's going to be across the ring? Whatever the opponent, though, expect Mason and Allison to be ready for anything. The last time these two met in the ring, Carmen knocked Riley out cold with her signature flipping dropkick. Will history repeat itself here, or can Riley come back and avenge that prior defeat? Laura Tate's first match back after the Grand Ascension (which saw her removed for "unsportsmanlike conduct") was... well, about as competitive as her usual. Ian Robinson, however, is not a man that rolls over lightly, and should put up a considerably more competitive match against the controversial woman. This may wind up being a defacto #1 contender's match, as the Marshalls look to take another shot at the AFW Tag Team Championships... but Lexi Dawson and Nana Yoon are not a team to be overlooked, no matter what size advantages or whatnot their opponents may carry. Capping off the night, a crowd-pleaser to say the least: Jackson Shaw and Lance Marshall, perhaps the two most popular names in AFW, will main event the show. A match solely for pride and bragging rights, as Lance tries to reassert himself as the face of AFW, while Jackson looks for his biggest victory yet. Proving Ground Episode 89 Riccardo De Luca vs. Nick MacLeod
The Bryant Sisters vs. The Golden Ambush
Calista Vargas vs. Katherine White
Felice Santana vs. Fresh Suzuki, Inspire Contender Semifinal
Adrenaline Rush vs. The Tachibanas
Fresh Fuji vs. Chico Con Carne, Top Prospect Qualifier
Aria Kintelas vs. Mercedes Ortega, Inspire Contender Semifinal
White Hot vs. The Gallego Twins, #1 Contender's Match
Odin Brockhouse vs. Ziggy Rockefeller, Top Prospect Qualifier Meanwhile, kicking off Monday's Proving Ground card will be Riccardo De Luca taking on battle royal participant Nick MacLeod. While Riccardo won't have a shot at taking Nick's place in that battle royal, he could certainly raise his stock in the Top Prospect division with a win, and perhaps set the stage for a run at the title in the new year. The Bryant Sisters made their Proving Ground debut last episode, but came up short against White Hot. Now, they'll face a team that's been on a bit of a downswing lately... but the Golden Ambush are still dangerous, and the Tigers will no doubt make this one a very, very tough matchup. Katherine White might just have the toughest matchup of the night as she stares down Calista Vargas. Calista has gotten plenty of statement victories... though coming up short against Fresh Suzuki in the contender's tournament has to be a motivating factor here. The first of the semifinal matches on the night, Felice Santana has a hell of a test in front of her in Fresh Suzuki, as both women vie for a spot in the final. Fresh is the only woman left in the tournament that's held the Inspire Championship once before... is she on the path to a second reign, even as she comes off of one of the most dominant Trios Championship defenses ever? Adrenaline Rush has looked better than ever lately, win or lose... and as they surge, the Tachibanas might be hitting a rough patch. Still, one can't count HAYATO and SATOMI out, even when things are at their worst, and the Nitro/Thunder duo will need to stay sharp. Hailing from Sakura Pro's Future Blossom division, Hip Hoppin' Fresh Fuji has been a wildly popular competitor from the day he first showed up. Across the ring, Chico Con Carne has been one of Proving Ground's brightest spots. This match will be fast, high-flying, and there's almost no way this disappoints. so watch it do exactly that just to spite meAria Kintelas has cut a truly impressive figure on Proving Ground, plowing through challengers left and right, including a brutal dismantling of Jessika Boom in the quarterfinals. But Mercedes Ortega has steadily made a name as maybe the Inspire division's top name... can she finally put the pieces together and reach the final? One of these two teams will head to New Year's Bash to take on the Proving Ground Tag Team Champions... the Excellent Blades will be watching as White Hot tries to get on a hot streak, while the Gallegos seek to continue theirs at White Hot's expense. Do Rei and Keiko have what it takes? Closing out the night, Butterfloor has informed Proving Ground that they'll be sending over Odin Brockhouse for the Top Prospect qualifiers... which, to be quite honest, has been met with some dismay from Proving Ground's roster. But they're not the ones who have to face him, anyway, except for Ziggy Rockefeller, who approached the idea of the match with the same attitude he always seems to have.

Tonight might have been a top 5 Phoenix Rising show all-time. No kidding. Easily the best AFW show that's ever aired, certainly. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1222559516Youtube: youtu.be/YlM2zt_TrR4Quick Results Hikari Ueno def. Sung Moon The Rising Storm def. The Foundation Dominic Stanton def. Nathan Haines Georgia Eagles def. Maya Minh Sai Todd Colton and Natasha Clover def. Mason Hayes and Allison Avery Carmen Latour def. Riley Montgomery Ian Robinson def. Laura Tate The Marshall Sisters def. Lexi Dawson and Nana Yoon Jackson Shaw def. Lance Marshall Bonus: Wanted: DOA def. Vanessa Saunders and Helena Lundgren Write-ups Hikari Ueno started off the show with a bang, instantly showing that her being overlooked on Proving Ground may have been a mistake. That said, this match was not without controversy, as referee Toby Stevens called the final pinfall right next to the ropes, leading many to claim Hikari's debut victory was tainted. This is the match the Rising Storm has been waiting for. Finally, the veteran duo that's won championships everywhere they've gone has gotten to show exactly just how much they've added to their arsenal between Proving Ground and AFW... and they'd get the win off a Xiu Mei Li brainbuster, setting the stage for what could be their third push for yet another fed's tag titles. This match might just be Dominic Stanton's signature victory to date. This was a brawl, make no mistake, and Dominic held up his end of the deal fantastically well, landing a vicious chokeslam to score the win over one-half of the reigning tag team champions. Credit to Maya Minh Sai, she certainly gave this one a shot, but Georgia only needed one more opening by the time Maya started to make her comeback, and she got it, catching Maya in a brutal Torture Rack variation to get the submission, much to the delight of the crowd. The mystery tag team? None other than the familiar duo of Todd Colton and Natasha Clover, who very, very quickly found their footing just three days after Todd's last appearances on Showdown. Mason and Allison just didn't have a full answer for the Greatest Technician Ever, and Todd picked up the win to cap off a tremendous week. Riley was still conscious at the end of this match, which is certainly a positive over their last meeting, but nevertheless, Carmen Latour once again came away with the victory, making it very clear that the Cajun Spitfire wants to be counted among AFW's top names. If there were any lingering worries about Laura Tate's attitude and penchant for obliterating her opponents, it seems she's learned her lesson... certainly being pitted against a man more than capable of holding his own helped, and Ian Robinson picked up a huge victory after landing a crushing powerbomb. It'd be easy to guess that the Marshalls would win this matchup. Most people would say so, against the relative rookie duo of Lexi and Nana. But the Academy graduates can never, ever be counted out, not with their background... and this was a fight to the finish, only settled when Cassandra finally locked in her Cloverleaf variation to force the submission late into the match. This was a sprint, compared to the rest of the show, and it still went a solid fifteen minutes. The closing sequence here was maybe the most intense of the entire night: trading massive blows back and forth before Jackson finally got the upper hand with a brutal snap powerbomb, and joined a very, very elite club: only the fourth man to pin Lance Marshall in an AFW ring. One last bonus match announced that Helena Lundgren and Vanessa Saunders would be jumping from the Academy to AFW, and their debut match saw them taking on Wanted: DOA. They'd be the only team to lose their debut match tonight, but it certainly wasn't for lack of trying, with this match fiercely competitive to the end until Kass's piledriver settled things. So, we're able to fully announce the roster moves, now that all the surprises and such have been revealed. Going into 2022, the following signings have been made: Melody Bryant to Proving Ground Rhiannon Banes, Trinity Knight, Brianna Tierney and Rachel White to Evergreen Angela Rothenberg to Showdown The Foundation, The Rising Storm, Todd Colton, Natasha Clover, Vanessa Saunders, Helena Lundgren and Hikari Ueno to AFW (wow!) And what of Tasharun's future, having apparently been ousted from Evergreen? Time will tell... nobody's entirely certain yet, as nobody's heard from the man lately...

AFW is a very hard act to follow, but it's not like Proving Ground didn't try. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1226485702Youtube: youtu.be/FkW21f3d6q8Quick Results Riccardo De Luca def. Nick MacLeod The Golden Ambush def. The Bryant Sisters Calista Vargas def. Katherine White Felice Santana def. Fresh Suzuki Adrenaline Rush def. The Tachibanas Chico Con Carne def. Fresh Fuji Mercedes Ortega def. Aria Kintelas The Gallego Twins def. White Hot The Maedas THE NECROLORD def. Ziggy Rockefeller...
Bonus: La Corsaria def. Rin Ryusaki Write-ups Maybe one of the most roaring comebacks we've seen in a long time from Riccardo De Luca, who had a rough go of it at the beginning of the match. But one can't ever count out the man they call Perpetual Motion, and he scored the victory with his signature Poison Rana, capping off one hell of an opener. It'd seem that Melody Bryant is still adjusting to the Proving Ground roster, as this match was straight up a dominant showing by the Ambush, focused on Melody and easily taking the win. Katherine White is definitely a threat, no matter who she might be in the ring with... it's just that Calista Vargas has an unbreakable will. Still, this was wild, with both women kicking out of the other's biggest move... Katherine surviving the Stormbreaker, Calista the Kat's Cradle, and it'd take Calista's signature submission to finally settle the score. An absolutely tremendous win for Felice Santana, coming out ahead over a former Inspire Champion and winning this one to get perhaps the biggest opportunity she's had yet. A spot in the tournament finals: can Felice take that final step and challenge Gabriela Gallego? Adrenaline Rush just keeps getting better and better. The Tachibanas certainly made this interesting, but the speed and technique that Adrenaline Rush have brought to their matches lately gave them a solid victory. Could 2022 be the year they break out as a top Proving Ground team? We've been waiting for this one, knowing how spectacular a match between these two could be, and they did not disappoint. Fresh Fuji more than held his own against Chico, though in the end, Chico's experience won out, giving him the seventh entry into the Top Prospect battle royal. As Erica Tracy mentions down below in her remarks on this week's show, this was... less than ideal. Mercedes Ortega drew a fair bit of ire for this match, and while she's not been pulled from the final against Felice Santana, there's definitely going to be an issue if this rears its head again... Rei Hasegawa couldn't be cleared for this match, after the incident at Golden Touch. As a result, Keiko Maeda had to scramble for a partner... and she got her own mother, Yuki, to step in. Even that, though, proved not enough to stop the surging Gallegos, who may now be poised to have a stake in every single Proving Ground championship... a tag title match next episode against the Blades, the same night Rafael is in the battle royal for the Top Prospect... and Gabriela's defense against the winner of the tournament at New Year's Bash. Disaster. Not only did Odin Brockhouse not show (whether he missed his invite, or was prevented by outside forces...), we got in his place... The Necrolord. And unfortunately, allowing this to happen resulted in one of the biggest disasters in Proving Ground history, as not only did the Necrolord win, he did so with his Soul Stealer... which only added to the fury of the Proving Ground locker room, not to mention GM Erica Tracy, who spoke with uncharacteristic fury after the show. One final match to try and make up for that, and La Corsaria had perhaps one of her best matches since her recent changes. Rin Ryusaki gave this a solid run, but Corsaria was a step ahead the entire way, picking up the win with a cheap-shot using her boot and leaving the Winter Kunoichi down and out. "I have a lot of things I have to address after tonight. I'll start with the less egregious situation... Mercedes Ortega. I'm impressed with your talent, with your competitive spirit, but I will not have you treating opponents like that. If it happens again during the tournament finals, there will be more than just words, there will be action taken, and I won't be light about it, either. Step lightly, and there won't be any further issues. But I won't have a champion acting that way, even if you can beat Gabriela Gallego at New Year's Bash.
Now... now we get to the more important issue at hand. I don't blame Butterfloor or its management for what happened tonight. Perhaps there's something to be said towards Mr. Brockhouse, although we should have done more to ensure he'd be here to prevent this sort of thing from happening.
No, the only one truly at fault here is the Necrolord himself. And I am warning you myself: you've taken one of our roster into your fold with your actions tonight. You've brought our head referee along with you, or so I'm led to believe. Your actions tonight can only be taken one way: a declaration of all-out war. So consider this my own declaration: you escaped tonight, whether it was by luck or by a talent to slip away from your fate.
You are coming back here in two weeks for the Top Prospect battle royal. You will be placed in the ring with seven other men, all vying for a chance at the Top Prospect Championship. And make no mistake, 'Necrolord'... I have instructed Rafael Gallego, Nick MacLeod, Akira Ryusaki... and I am requesting the other four as well... to do whatever it takes to ensure that you don't walk out of that ring with any prize. No souls, no championship opportunity, nothing.
Now... if you'll excuse me."

Time's running short. There's only a handful of shows left before the big one, New Year's Bash. And on the penultimate Showdown of 2021, a lot could be on the line... and not just championships. Showdown Episode 89 Mallory Spaulding vs. Haruka Matsura
The Dynawasps vs. The Muscle Machines
Ruthless Nicole Alger vs. Besos
Les Beautes Blondes (Angel/Celine) vs. Pure Gold (Kanjirin/Kyle)
Kojiro Burai vs. Revon Beauregard
Jerome Harris vs. Kellaron Sentarl
The Heyward Sisters vs. Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk
Telan Kintelas vs. Victor Kintelas for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Rafael Gallego vs. Candace Monroe Opening the show this week, a very, very tall order for the Malevolent Triad's resident ninja... Haruka Matsura is faced with the challenge of Pure Gold's suplex specialist, Mallory Spaulding. Can Haruka's speed carry her to victory over the slumping Pure Gold? The Dynawasps are in a big of a slump themselves, and one has to think this is being set up specifically to try and get them out of it. The Muscle Machines aren't typically seen as a tough outing, but we've been surprised by the most dysfunctional team around that isn't the Sheridans... Pacific Northwest division action, heating up as Ruthless Nicole Alger and Besos both look to raise their stock in the division going into the new year. This is a wild clash of styles: Besos's lucha speed and technique against RNA's vicious submission game. Pure Gold seems to still have something of a grudge against Les Beautes Blondes, and Kanjirin will bring Kyle Anderson into battle with him against LBB's leader and her personal knight. Angel Leblanc and Celine Chevalier have an eye on returning to the top of the tag team division, but against a motivated Pure Gold, what's really in store? Kojiro Burai got a major boost with a hard-fought win over Markos Andreas last time out... not to mention the much less hard-fought match against La Belleza on Friday's TIPWF show. Revon Beauregard, meanwhile, is certain to present a bit more of a challenge... The return of the Grand Ascension winner to a Phoenix Rising ring... Jerome Harris makes his first appearance on Showdown ahead of New Year's Bash, and his World Championship match against Candace Monroe, set to take on Kellaron Sentarl, fresh off of a tremendous win over Kanjirin Tonorian. Jerome's stepping into the ring with a man who just beat a former World Champion... can he stay sharp ahead of his challenge? There may not be high stakes here in this match, but make no mistake, as friendly as this match is likely to be, it won't be lightly contested. Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk are still somewhat of a fledgling team, but they've impressed in their matches together... but against the Heyward Sisters, they'll need to be on top of their game, lest the Heywards come away with bragging rights. Victor Kintelas isn't a man that tries to let personal grudges or vendettas stand in his way. He certainly doesn't let the idea of family drag him down in the ring, and never has, even from the day he made his debut in Phoenix Rising four years ago. Faced with his uncle in defense of the Pacific Northwest Championship, Victor seeks to remain on top of the division... even as the shadow of his father looms over the upcoming tag title defense for the GOAT. Closing out the night, Candace Monroe's showcase matches against the best of the Ascension continues. A surprising defeat at the hands of a departing Todd Colton may have sent the champion reeling, but she'll aim to push herself back into championship shape against the man that may be the hardest-working wrestler in Phoenix Rising over the course of December... does Rafael Gallego have what it takes to hang with the top champion in the fed? In addition... recalling Kileas Kintelas's ultimatum last Showdown, demanding Firehawk's surrender and retirement... time's up, and we'll surely hear what Firehawk's decision is on this show, sooner or later. What will the founder of Phoenix Rising choose? Will it really be the end of an era?

A few members of the Showdown roster had some words ahead of Monday's show, mostly regarding the Kintelas ultimatum issued last episode... the call for Firehawk Sentarl to retire and no longer stand in the way of Kileas Kintelas or his family. Kellaron Sentarl "You want my thoughts on what my father's answer is gonna be? You should know by now, better than most: it won't amount to a damn thing. Kileas isn't getting what he wants out of this, and if he does, it'll be a big mistake. I'll be the first person to say it: this isn't my fight. Going face-to-face with the Kintelas family is, and always has been, my father's battle to fight. And right now... hell, Victor and I are Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions, and our upcoming defense against Kileas and Winifred? There isn't a personal stake in it, because we can't afford for there to be anything personal behind it, even if they want it to be.
But don't get me wrong: if he really does walk away because you said so? I'm ready and willing to take up the fight in his place and knock your ass down a few notches. Do the right thing, Kileas: back off." Kanjirin Tonorian "Choice doesn't matter to me. Retire, stick around, what do I care about the old washed-up bastard's decision? You stay, and I'll make sure you come to regret it sooner or later, because Pure Gold will break you in half. You walk away? Less trouble for us to deal with. My suggestion? Listen to Kileas, for once. Seems to me like you'd be smart to call it quits..." The Black Dragon "I'll be as blunt as possible here, I don't need to mince words: Firehawk, if you actually do it and walk away? I'll fucking drag your ass back myself and beat the shit out of you for even considering it.
Only warning I'll give you." And... one more person. "Been a long few months, hasn't it? It's the first time I've been in the arena since the World Cup. Four months, and a little bit more, since I lost the World Championship and got put in the hospital. I'm not gonna lie, there was a lot of worrying going on for that first month. Whether I was ever going to be able to get back at all. I got lucky, though. Very lucky. We're being really, really careful about this, about my recovery, about getting back out there, even though I've been back on my feet for a while now... and that's probably for the best, because I'm definitely not 100% still. It's going to be a while longer before that's the case. But I will be back to 100%. That's a promise. I'm going to hit the ground running for the new year and you'd better believe I'm gonna make a run at reclaiming that World Championship, sooner or later. But, well... thing is, that's not really why I'm here. I've kept an eye on things while I've been away. I heard the message Kileas opened up with last Showdown. And I'm just gonna come right out and say it: You're kind of an idiot. How many years have you known him, Kileas? How many times have you fought, how many times have you tried to keep him down? Remember back to every single match you've ever had with my dad. Yeah, you'll win sometimes, you'll beat him, you'll sometimes even get the upper hand for a while. But what planet are you living on that you think, for one second, that he'd just give up and walk away after all that's happened? He'll give you an answer at the show, I'm absolutely certain of it. Too many people are buying into what you've sold them. But you're gonna learn, just like every other time you've fought... You can't kill a Phoenix."

Wild one tonight, chaotic as all hell... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1233017977Youtube: youtu.be/aU_3MOTDg58Quick Results Haruka Matsura def. Mallory Spaulding The Dynawasps def. The Muscle Machines Besos def. Ruthless Nicole Alger Les Beautes Blondes def. Pure Gold Revon Beauregard def. Kojiro Burai Kellaron Sentarl def. Jerome Harris The Heyward Sisters def. Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk Victor Kintelas def. Telan Kintelas to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Rafael Gallego def. Candace Monroe
And Firehawk's answer to the ultimatum? An all-out brawl to close the show... Write-ups Haruka Matsura's pure speed served her well against the suplex specialist, though it was still a narrow match right up to the end. Mallory just couldn't finish through exhaustion, and Haruka came away with the win after her signature moonsault. A surprisingly competitive showing for the Muscle Machines, but their usual dysfunctional attitude proved their downfall once again, as the Dynawasps came out on top... Avispa doing most of the heavy lifting here, hitting the big moves and eventually snatching up a rollup for the win. While perhaps the greatest styles clash in Phoenix Rising's history, this still more than lived up to whatever expectations one might've had. This was a wild one, with RNA trying to ground Besos and go for the Ruthless Armripper, but Besos stayed ahead and used her speed and technique to come out with a sharp counter to score the pinfall. Les Beautes Blondes are quickly becoming one of the biggest thorns in the side of Pure Gold, with yet another victory over the slumping team. Celine Chevalier turned in maybe her best showing yet, scoring the huge pinfall here, and LBB continues to ride high despite their disastrous Trios Championship match. It didn't stop there, as Revon Beauregard immediately followed up the win with another of his own, taking down Kojiro Burai in a wild, hard-fought match. Pure Gold may need to figure out what's going on at this point, because something's clearly not working. Something has changed in Kellaron Sentarl these past few weeks. Perhaps determined to no longer stand behind Victor, he's erupted into a truly impressive contender, and took down the Grand Ascension winner here in legitimately impressive fashion. Could Kellaron be the man that steps up to be the first challenger for the new year? No real bad blood in this match (far as we know, at least), but still fiercely competitive to the end. The Heywards once again cemented their position as one of the best teams in Phoenix Rising, picking up a very impressive victory, but this wouldn't be the last time we saw Kaelara and Silver Hawk on the night. Can anyone stop Victor Kintelas? He's been an absolute beast as Pacific Northwest Champion, making another impressive defense here against his uncle, Telan. What will it take to dethrone Phoenix Rising's only double-champion? Rafael Gallego was impressive here against the World Champion, perhaps trying to make a case for jumping from Proving Ground, though we'll see if that continues when he stops doing the Triple Brainbuster so much during a match. Yeah. That didn't end the show, however, as Kileas and the rest of the Kintelas Family came out to demand an answer from Firehawk Sentarl over the ultimatum from two weeks ago. They didn't have to wait long. Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk were the first to show up on the stage. Rilantha De Nav followed close behind them. And after a few moments longer, Firehawk himself arrived, and the four of them stormed to the ring and kicked off a wild brawl with the Kintelas Family, a brawl that was still going by the time the show went off the air. No doubt about it, we have our answer: Firehawk Sentarl has no intention of retiring. The fight will continue, and it could be the final battle between the eternal rivals.

Mercy Devine"Well, shit. I don't have a whole lot of options open right now. As much as I hate the Dumbass Duo that is the Sheridans... they're still winning matches. And the way I see it... well, you've earned at least a chance to try and get a title match. Fact is, I'm not gonna go down as someone who didn't give people the shot they deserve.
So the Sheridans are getting a #1 contender's match on this month's Evergreen.
Just don't come crying to me if you can't get the job done." On that ominous note... well, let's see exactly why Mercy's given such a harsh warning towards the Sheridan Brothers. Evergreen Federation Wrestling Episode 51 Iris Coleman vs. Babe Ruthless
Ashton Crowe vs. Trinity Knight
Oakland's Most Metal (Rebecca/Sayaka) vs. El Verde
Skidmark vs. Eddy Introspect
Penelope Lea vs. Sabrina
Kantar and Kroll vs. "The Misfits" (Julian/Thief)
Mercy Devine vs. Ash Defiant
Concrete Pete vs. Veronika Armstrong
The Sheridan Brothers vs. The Bingo Hall Mutants, #1 Contender's Match Kicking off the night, Iris Coleman continues a fairly typical run as the Evergreen opener, taking on Babe Ruthless in what's likely to be a wildly hard-hitting match. Iris picked up a win last time out against a debuting Trinity Knight, but can she keep up the momentum? Trinity herself will step up against another newcomer to Evergreen in Ashton Crowe. No doubt this might be one of Trinity's tougher matches of her young career, as Ashton's more than proven to be a fierce competitor since his arrival. The usual duo has returned to tag action, as Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito will team up to take on El Verde to write another chapter in their long-standing battle, albeit one with very little bad blood (save Verde's penchant for violence). Eddy Introspect has little choice but to fly solo for the time being... granted, he could team up with Penelope Lea, but with Sookie seemingly out of action for the time being, could Eddy have a shot at some singles glory? Here against Skidmark, well... Maybe. Penelope Lea, meanwhile, squares off with Sabrina, who's probably spent the entirety of the past month celebrating with KyO after he won the Evergreen Championship. Is she going to be focused enough to take on maybe the most vicious member of eMo? Kantar and Kroll's first outing as a team was... well, to put it lightly, disastrous, thanks to a surprisingly-hot Sheridan team. They'll be looking to get on track and re-focus, as they take on the team that's quickly being dubbed the "Evergreen Misfits"... Julian Shepard and the Phantom Thief remain an odd presence on the roster but refuse to walk away to saner grounds. Mercy Devine seems prepared for anything at this point... we haven't seen her terribly active as of late, outside of special "exhibitions", but it would appear she's decided to become more active now, taking on Ash Defiant as she shoots for a potential shot at KyO's Evergreen Championship against Ash Defiant, who's probably put together the most impressive record in all of Evergreen, save for one... It simply cannot be denied that Concrete Pete is the face of Evergreen over the last few months. He's been an absolute terror in his home fed. He's been one-half of the inaugural Butterfloor tag champions since they were first introduced... and hasn't looked even slightly vulnerable as champion alongside a partner that, going into the whole mess, he was nowhere near as familiar with. He's part of the single most dominant faction perhaps in the entirety of the Alliance today. And that is what Veronika Armstrong is staring down this week, an implacable beast of a man from Pittsburgh that wants more gold around his impressively-large waist. Closing out the night... Mercy's warnings and threats make a whole lot of sense, here. The Sheridans are indeed getting a #1 contender's match... against a team that has continued to wreak havoc wherever they go, be it PEWA, Blue Thunder Pro... or right here in Evergreen, where they finally return to once again seek the Evergreen Tag Team Championships. The prize, however, may be one that's just too much for most to try and go for: a match with the immensely dominant Argent and Binak Tonorian. Is there any team in the entire Alliance capable of dethroning a literal giant?

That's all for Evergreen this year, outside of two matches to take place from the hardcore crew at New Year's Bash. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1235673286Youtube: youtu.be/yFShuSutHvwQuick Results Babe Ruthless def. Iris Coleman Ashton Crowe def. Trinity Knight El Verde def. Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito Skidmark def. Eddy Introspect Penelope Lea def. Sabrina The Misfits def. Kantar and Kroll Mercy Devine def. Ash Defiant Veronika Armstrong def. Concrete Pete The Bingo Hall Mutants def. The Sheridan Brothers
Bonus: Freya O'Malley def. Argent Write-ups Babe Ruthless might be aiming to make a case for a future run at the Evergreen Championship, perhaps frustration from being left out of the potential contenders on this show. This was absolutely one of her best showings, culminating in an absolutely brutal finishing sequence. The fact that Trinity stayed in this match as long as she did is a testament to her talents, though her recent lack of violent tendencies might be holding her back. Ashton Crowe came out ahead in the end with his submission hold, and even then, it took a fair bit of work to get Trinity to tap out. Never count El Verde out. It's been said so many times, but once again, it's El Evergringo slipping away with a victory, as he so often has in the past. Could 2022 be a year for El Verde to get back on top of the world? A match that many figured might be a guaranteed Skidmark win, only for this to be maybe the most competitive match of the night. Eddy put everything he had into this one, but Skidmark broke out maybe his most devastating finishing combo, landing the full Heavy Metal Mayhem to pick up a very hard-fought win. Sabrina tried, honestly, but for most of this match, it was all Penelope Lea. There just wasn't enough in the tank for Sabrina to hold out against the onslaught, and a vicious kick put the Jersey She-Devil down, salvaging a win for eMo on the night. As devastating as Kantar and Kroll are on their own, it seems like they're just not in sync as a team. Another frustrating defeat, and it may spell the end of the duo for now, as they try to figure out where to go next. An excellent showing for the Misfits, however, proving they're still as dangerous as ever. Mercy Devine showed up big in this one, quickly reminding the Evergreen faithful that she's in charge for a reason. And while Ash Defiant has absolutely been one of the most dominant names in Evergreen for a very long time, Mercy wasn't about to give up a chance for a match at New Year's Bash... ... and Mercy's victory proved motivating for her long-time rival, Veronika Armstrong. Veronika, still reeling from a disastrous Unit Battle Festival matchup, came roaring out of the gate against Concrete Pete and made this maybe one of the more violent matchups of the night. But with the promise of a match against Mercy on the biggest stage of the year... there was no way this could go any other way. A #1 contender's match will take place at New Year's Bash between Mercy and Veronika... all for a shot at KyO in the new year. God bless 'em, the Sheridans at least tried to pull this one off, but was there ever really any chance they'd take down the surging Mutants? Three nights, three matches, three victories for the PEWA legends, and the Mutants are on their way to New Year's Bash... to take on perhaps the most frighteningly dominant champions in Evergreen's history. Freya O'Malley might have had a few mis-steps as of late, but this bonus match after the main event was a stark reminder of just how utterly devastating Freya can be in the ring, taking on one-half of the reigning tag team champions in Argent. This was an all-out war, an Evergreen-style match to the core, and Freya came away with a stunning victory in the end off of a sharp flash-pin. The new year can't come soon enough for Freya, who no doubt has her eyes on championship gold before long.
